Pros: "What is nice is that this airline gives people a pillow if they need one. They include a meal with a two hour flight from Costa Rica to Bogota, all included in the price. The reality is that in 2017 the airline carriers in the US are the worst in the world for their flying customers. The flight from Bogota to Montevideo was good. the seats could be another 2-4" wider. Other than that, for an economy flight, this was a very nice flight."

When I was at the airport I asked the clerked for specific information ,I asked him how much it would cost to take my surfboards if it was going to be to expensive I would just leave them home ,he said no problem that there would be a charge of.$120_150 and it cover the trip until denpasar ,I asked are you sure?he said YES that he would put it on the note and that if I had any problems in NY to just show them the receipt well no need to say.that.when I arrived in NY I was charged again ,the cs rep of the other airline said they wouldn't have charged if avuanca would have put that the surfboard was going until denpasanr when we said that he had done it we looked stupid because he had just checked our bags on the tag until Bali but not the surfboard. So now I have to return and I'm working if I will have.to.end up paying.$1000 in.total.just for my surfboard.when this could have been avoided from the start if the cs rep of Avianca would have told.me the truth or know how to do his Job. What solution can you give ,I feel very annoyed. Thank you"

Cons: "I’m not a seasoned traveler and packed some needed items for our home out-of-state in an oversized bag. That bag ended up costing me $200 extra at check-in. I could’ve Fed-ex’d for cheaper or put into two separate bags for cheaper. Then, my flight was delayed an hour."

If there was a mechanical issue then the plane should’ve not been boarded until it was fixed. Much rather have waited in lobby for 2 hours than on a plane with no food and water. Or at least alllowed us to deboard while issues where resolved."

I always fly First Class for the extra room and perks of crew service. Crew spent most time in galley chatting. Not a bad flight by any means but I guess I have been spoiled by superior service on all of my other weekly Delta flights."

Cons: "Delta doesn't manage their flight schedules and personnel with backup or standby crew in order to assist whenever there are delays across domestic flights. The plane was late to arrive at the gate and we were also told that while the pilot was ready to take off, we couldn't leave because we were waiting for a flight attendant to land from Pittsburgh (we were in La Guardia airport in NYC). delta would rather I convenience the flyer instead of hiring more personnel or figuring out standby or backup plans for delayed flights."

I have taken this flight several times in the last 2 years and written about this issue but now doubt anybody cares about these comments. To make things worse, my seat would not recline!"

Cons: "My original flt KE018 on 03Apr17 was a different story; had adequate space, but the temperature was warm making it uncomfortable to sleep during the 13 hour flight. Unfortunately, the A-380 does not have manual overhead air vents."

Cons: "5 minutes until boarding at JFK we were told to transfer gates; upon arriving by shuttle to the new gate, passengers were informed the aircraft was downsized and 20 people needed to be bumped. I volunteered since I had a flexible schedule so Delta re-issued me a ticket at 9am JFK for a 10am flight out of La Guardia. I trusted them I'd make it in time and they said they called taxis for us so we left to go catch them. Actually, no taxis were to be found so we had to call our own and were significantly delayed. I was in the first group of 5 people to be re-issued and arrive at La Guardia. Everyone else bolted but my new boarding pass didn't work and they actually didn't properly re-issue my ticket as I had been booked as leg 3 of my international flight from Malaysia. After they called three different departments including China they were able to print my ticket at 9:54am so I sprinted through the security and to my gate and was able to somehow make the flight as they were closing the door. However probably 14 or so of the original bumped passengers definitely didn't make it."

Cons: "AA has nine boarding groups, which queue up in two lanes. Each of the two lanes hold about 5 people, at most. This is ridiculous. It creates enormous crowds of people jockeying to be near the tiny lanes for when their number is called 5 or 10 minutes down the line. AA needs to reduce the number of boarding groups, lengthen the lanes, and provide more of them. No other airline boards this way. That's because this boarding method is stupid. Unsurprisingly, our plane took off late because they couldn't get everyone boarded in time."

The flight I managed to get on departed two hours late. There was no explanation for each of these cancellations/delays. There was virtually zero inclement weather anywhere, save for most of the country’s temperature being nearly equivalent to the surface of Neptune. And, the surly, clueless Chicago-based gate agent was the coupe de grace in my search for a reasonable explanation after which I waited impatiently for this episode to conclude. American get your act together."

Pros: "The flight attendant was fantastic. Very friendly, very helpful, checking on all the passengers. He even loaned his phone charger to one passenger. It was a full flight and he was working hard, but had a smile on his face the entire time. Give him a raise!"
Cons: "the airplane was absolutely freezing. It was so cold, you could actually see the air blowing (like in winter). There's no need for that. Somehow European airlines manage not to freeze out all their passengers. It was less than a two hour flight but felt like an eternity because it was so uncomfortable. Seat size - this is absolutely the smallest it can/should go. I am pretty skinny, but even I'm running out of room and the seat backs could be made a bit more comfortable. Not only is there almost no recline, but the way they are constructed - they actually push my head forward - not made for short people."

Pros: "It was on time. Nashville airport is sparkling clean with very happy and warm staff throughout the facility. As opposed to Philthydelphia the city of Unbrotherly Love."

Cons: "The boarding was seemed unintelligent. Why would a passenger in a window seat have to wait until the other middle and aisle passengers board. I got on the plane and had to wait for the other two passengers get up and step into the aisle so I could take my window seat. I was in group 7 and apparently they were in a lower number group that was allowed to board before me."

Cons: "It was inconceivable to me that I could not get a seat assignment until I actually checked in at the gate. While AA offered the option of paying extra for additional legroom, if you declined the offer, you could not obtain a seat. I know that it is getting unusual to have any sort of enjoyable experience on an airline, but the lack of transparency ("group two" for boarding is actually the fifth group to enter the aircraft) is totally unnecessary."

Pros: "American did a good job. DFW concourse was ice cold and the speaker system was terrible could not understand a word she said. Very obvious DFW is outdated and tired airport."

Cons: "That i booked a flight that departed 6:20pm on Alaska Airlines and found out i was put on a red eye American Airlines flight that left at 11:50 pm. In addition did not reciveve any notification of the change. Had to leave the airport because i thought i was leaving at 6:20 pm :("

Cons: "I bought some items when I was in Belize I get to Dallas to check my items into my bag and American Airlines has one person checking in bags and one guy standing in the hallway with a red coat on telling us where to go so I stood in the line for and hour and ended up loosing my items and missed my flight so I'm on a seven hr wait cause American Airlines can't get bags checked in on time"

Cons: "Seeing as this flight was cancelled and we had to wait as two elderly people until 3pm the next day to get another flight and American Airlines would not compensate in anyway. I would say that we will never fly American Airlines again nor will my family. This was not the only delay or cancellation because of American either. We spent 48 hours traveling because of delays and cancellations and still American would do nothing for us. I'm 66 and my husband is 72 (who also has had back surgery for five slipped discs) and we had to sleep on concrete floors and had very limited money to buy food. It was by far the worst experience of my life and I would encourage everyone to not travel with them."

Cons: "When arriving in Charlotte North CAROLINA, waiting to board my next flight to Nashville, Tennessee, upon exiting the flight there was no mention as to check your boarding passes because of a change at the gate to our flight fiying back to Tennessee. So i go to the terminal and wait patiently at my gate for my flight to arrive. The departure came but it wasn't for Tennessee it was for Norfolk?? So when i went to the flight agent asked her what happened to the Tennessee flight, she said the flight left 2 hours ago. And when i mentioned no one said anything different about some gate checks had been changed. So i ended up missing my regular flight back home to Tennessee, no thanks to everyone involved, and had to wait an extra 2 hours to receive another flight back to Tennessee. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!"

Upon realizing that employees of that gate had left, and we're not coming back, I had to ask passing personnel about my flight to find that it left already and that I had already been rebooked without being notified. The new flight boarded almost 2 hours later than expected, and upon landing in Chicago, I had already missed my connecting flight to Nashville by 35 minutes apparently. Unacceptable."

Cons: "Someone was sitting in my seats and instead of making him move they made us move and tried splitting up my wife and 6 month old child about 4 rows apart. The air started blowing very hot air about halfway through the flight. Everyone was sweating and it was better to just turn the air off completely then keep it on. They tried taking care of it which helped for 5 minutes and then it started blowing hot again. Also the WiFi would kick you off after about 30 seconds and then make you go through a login that takes like 60 seconds. Needless to say... this was the first time I haven't flown Southwest in years... and with the kind of experience it's no wonder why it won't happen again any time soon."

We were forced to stand in the back of a long line to rebook. In that amount of time ( which was over 2 hours) in line and online booking were being made for our same flight.They WOULDN'T accommodate us with a hotel even after we stood in line for another 2 hours just so they could tell us that if we wanted to fly to Dallas it wouldn't be till Tuesday. By this time shuttles werent even running for the number they gave us for a discount on a hotel. The supervisor, GREG HALEY came over and covered his lanyard id with his hand the whole time he spoke with us. We asked for his name and he just said Greg and tried to walk away. We asked him for his last name and he was hesitant but told us it was Haley. We asked his supervisor's name and he scoffed and told us that he didnt have to give us that information, then walked away. We tried to sleep for 3hours on the freezing airport floor to catch a 8am flight to Houston so I could drive my boyfriend all the way to Dallas to pick up his truck and both of us drive back to Houston. Luckily our connecting flight to Houston was in Orlando for 4 hours so it gave me enough time to jump on a standby flight to Dallas Fort Worth out of Orlando in just under an hour. Worst airline and Supervisor (GREG HALEY-OUT OF FORT LAUDERDALE) I have EVER dealt with in ANY company."
