Many people on my flight were worried about connections because Delta delayed our start by over 30 minutes to "change a switch," whatever that means. Then for passengers with short connection times, they should NEVER be seated in the rear of the plane when it takes 20-30 minutes for the rear-seated passengers. Not very consumer-oriented."

Cons: "Not only did we miss our Delta connection but when Delta rebooked us on a British Airways flight they refused to help when British Airways could not access our tickets. they kept saying since it was Virigin Atlantic who we originally booked through that VA woulkd have to fix it, even thought Delta was the actual carrier and the ones that did the rebooking onto the British Airways flight"

So after everyone had boarded, at the minute we were supposed to take off, they beg for 2 volunteers to get off the flight to compensate for the weight of the excess fuel. Eventually 2 people b3came annoyed enough to get off and take a $200 voucher (probably for another delayed flight.) so we were late taking off for that. At our destination there were clear sunn6 skies. Extra fuel was needed for that. So I was stuck in a seat the size of a child’s car seat for an extra 40 minutes? And when we could finally get off, my legs had fallen asleep ffrom being too squeezed in for that relatively short flight. When will the airlines focus on the passengers’ safety & comfort and not on excessive profits?"

When we got to the Gate for this flight, complimentary checking of carry-on bags was allowed, and that helped speed the boarding process, not just for us, but for all the people on the flight."

Cons: "First flight was delayed. Delay not related to weather. American refused to provide hotel. the provided hotel and meal voucher for a fellow traveler on same flight who missed his connection. I was told he was accommodated because he is priority. When asked how I become priority I was told "he spends more money and flies more often." To me that means as a customer I am not a priority to American Airlines."

Cons: "i didn't like my seat 8c with no room to put stuff under the seat in front because there was no seat in front and its like theres even less leg room than a normal seat bc crew going up and down the aisle i had to really squeeze in"

Cons: "The flight was delayed, at not fault of the crew on board, however the flight attendants did very little to update the passengers on connecting flights and did not try to help in making the connecting flight aware that some passengers would be delayed. I missed my connection by MINUTES (I saw it still taxied at the gate) and they could not hold the plane for 5 passengers connecting. Awful service and procedures."

(a female alone) -finally after 45 minutes they received my reservation. -I didnt get to my room until 1am and had to get up at 5 to get the shuttle back to the airport -Frustrating and nerve racking experience"

When I did talk to someone found out I needed to have my passport validated by another Ryanair person and would have to leave the line. The person checking me in couldn't validate my passport, Really?? At every other airline the checkin person validates your passport."

Pros: "Check-in was good, no queues. I arrived about four hours before scheduled departure time and check-in had been open already for an hour. In Mexico City Airport I had missed a flight three days earlier as I'd been observing the departure screens and they'd failed to update the status of my aircraft: this time I was informed of the gate at check-in. Flight was on time and didn't do anything scary. I was lucky as my neighbour found another free seat so left me with more room."
Cons: "I've found Iberia to be uncaring. This flight was much the same. The food and drink service was cheap, and I felt the attendants didn't feel like they had to try to give good service. The new entertainment screens kept coming on, and I kept turning them off as I wished to sleep. Eventually I discovered they were being triggered by the electrostatic charge on the pillows that I was rearranging."

Nothing is offered on the flight not even water spacialy after running around to find the gate, not on time made international connections difficult"

Finally, the temperature was freezing & the bathrooms were disgusting."

Pros: "On my return flight to the United states, I got to fly with Iberia airlines. After flying my first segment with British airways, I wondered if the Spanish airline could keep up with BA's standards. Well, Iberia not only met the standards, but raised the bar! I am not sure if the fact that this was a day flight (unlike BA's red eye trip) or the fact that it took 2 more hours, but the crew served a full lunch, a snack AND a light meal, when with British i only received one full dinner and a morning snack."

I think the seats on the larger planes are older but they are more comfortable for me and I loved my movie selections! I took 4 flights with Iberia 2 long ones (11 hours each way) and two shorter ones (5 hours each way) and they were on time, friendly and very comfortable on every flight! I will definitely be flying with them again!"

Cons: "There was bad weather which understandably caused delays, however the communication during this eventual 16 hour delay was horrendous. We were told for the first two hours that we would be delayed each hour and then they would make a decision to delay another hour. This went on for 4 hours (the last two hours of which we did not receive any updates). The flight was originally scheduled to leave at 8:10. At 12:30am we were told our plane was at the gate and being prepared for us to board and the agent giving announcements said we were "guaranteed to leave TONIGHT". At 1am we were told that unfortunately the plane got to the gate just a bit too late and not the crew are not legally allowed to fly and the flight would be pushed back until 8am. At the time, I thought 7 hours was strange and I'd assume the crew would need more like 8-10 hours to rest. Unfortunately because we were told so late, all hotels were booked up. I live in NYC and would've gone home for the night however because we needed to be back by 6am (what the agent suggested), there seemed no point in leaving. We were not provided with any pillows or blankets until 4 in the morning. At 6am the next morning, we were told the crew needed "more rest time" and that our new departure time would be 9:30. How is it that the crew now needs more time? Shouldn't that have been figured out at 1am? Before we board, one of the agents thinks they will "lighten the mood" with the following comment - "Who would've thought a little bad weather would've caused this?" Absolutely not a time for jokes and people were very angry. We finally board for what we think is finally a 9:30am take off. No - now two new issues - 1, the co pilot is late (LATE? how can you be late when a flight has been delayed 16 hours) and 2, they needed to remove package from the plane for people who were no longer taking this flight. In the end, we took off around 11:30am which messed up a lot of peoples connecting flights, pick ups at the airport, etc. I will never fly this airline again."

Cons: "while on my way to the airport i got a message that my flight was cancelled. luckily i had a friend who took care of putting me on another flight to toronto. weather created changes but just sending a message your flight is cancelled is not the right way to deal with things. when finally arriving to toronot i had to rush to my flight to tel aviv, it was insane, just to realize that also this flight was postponed due to the weather. air canada should be more involved in helping travelers to deal with their connections."

Cons: "Air Canada knew we were going to miss our connection, as the flight was delayed over and over, yet the staff on the ground insisted all connections would be made, there had been no missed connections all day. As soon as we got to Montreal, we were told due to ice in Montreal Air Canada had been cancelling flights and many connections couldn't be made all day. By that time it was too late to call Vancouver and set up alternative plans for the following day, which is when we would finally leave Montreal."

Pros: "Entertainment system has a bunch of varieties to keep you entertained for a 12 hour flight."
Cons: "The delays were horrible!!! Had 4 flights with them. Seattle to Vancouver, Vancouver to Beijing, Hong Kong to Vancouver, and Vancouver to Seattle. Seattle to Vancouver was delayed so long that we almost missed our connecting flight to Beijing. Because of that delay our baggage missed the Vancouver to Beijing flight and we had nothing for 2 days!!! It was a hassle to get some kind of compensation and just having to wear the same clothes for 2 days. Also the Hong Kong to Vancouver, and Vancouver to Seattle flights were also delayed"

Pros: "Staff all friendly and helpful, both at desk and in plane. Seats were pretty comfortable with sufficient leg room (I am tall), but if you are a wide person (or next to one) it would have been pretty cramped. Neither of my flights (to Newfoundland) were full so we all had a bit of extra space. Food was adequate but could be improved with fruit instead of dessert."

Cons: "I have taken 6 flights with your company in the last two weeks. Each has had a minimum of 45 min delay. Your seats are very small. Your planes seem dated and have no entertainment system on board, oh unless I want to pay another $10 bucks for an Ipad.. Food , what food. You did not have half of the items on your own menu.. and when I bought some cheese and crackers, I had to remind the lady that cashews were in the picture too. You have a mediocre airline, nothing to brag about here."

Weather started the problem but human error meant an incredibly stressful rebooking, requiring three agents at ticketing plus the IT help desk just to figure out what the agent I had reached over the phone had done. In Quebec City not nearly enough agents to check bags; huge lines, people being shunted to the front so they wouldn't miss their flights."

One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of communication by the staff! We could see them at the counter where our gate was but no one would come out and talk to us! Our plane finally got off the ground at 8:30 PM!"

Cons: "Very rude staff, my flight from Dublin was delayed for three hours on the runway why they fix the leak for the restrooms. Once we landed I had to clear customs in Canada and get to the new flight. They told me when I finally had to make through the airport and through customs that I need to manage my time better and understand and give myself plenty of time to make the flight.. REALLY??? It wasn't my fault that their crappy plane wasn't working right wasn't my fault we were delayed but I need to manage my time better I think they fell and bumped their head!!"

Left 20 minutes late due to 14 people stuck in those lines. Airplane sat 1 hour and 15 minutes on tarmac at Laguardia waiting for a gate. We were behind other planes waiting for a gate too. Once out of plane, tough time getting up to the terminal as the terminal was so crowded. Will avoid Air Canada and Laguardia like the plague."

It was stressful because I had one night before I was leaving for a back country trip and the " lost" bag had " no hits" when the bar Cade was scanned. So I spent hours trying to find someone who could assist me. I lost one whole vacation day dealing with the bag issue. Sure wish I could get some compensation."

Then, we sat almost another hour on the tarmac at Bradley Airport because the flight plan was not approved. This caused me and several travelers (out of a small flight of approx. 20 people) to miss our connections in Montreal. Miscommunication seems to be normal for AirCanada, at least in Montreal (almost missed my connection on the way home, too). I will not fly again with this airline in the foreseeable future."

Pros: "Contacted by AC that flight from Hartford late leaving and only option for connection to Moncton was through Toronto instead of Montreal-agreed to this change"

Delay of 10 minutes to disembark once at terminal because of unexplained problem. Once at security gate D line of approx.. 30-40 people at dead standstill for 25 minutes (security issue?) . Missed connecting flight to Moncton because of above. Overnight stay in Toronto with hotel and meals approx. 35..00-400.00 extra cost. AC unwilling to pay for hotel. Lost following day's employment. Very disappointed in AC service in Toronto."

Pros: "I had not paid attention to know this was going to be such a tiny plane - 18 seats! Transborder flight, 1:20 hours, single seats so both window and aisle, two fantastic pilots (no flight attendants) who did everything, young, friendly and in charge, smooth trip, and I was in seat 2 and looking directly ahead seeing the pilots' view! I didn't need snacks or other entertainment. Will not hesitate to take this flight / Air Canada / small planes again."

"I didn’t eat any of the snacks nor drink any of the beverages available on the flight. I tend to fall asleep on the plane, which is what happened. It has been a while since I have flown United, I appreciated the spacious seating, comfortable seats and improved planes. Thanks for making the flight easy and enjoyable, it seems like the company has been working on making general improvements to their flights and it’s paying off."

My husband and I looked at our tickets and were surprised to see the seat assignments I had chosen when I purchased the tickets were not there and instead the boarding pass said "see agent". She then assigned us seating in separate rows and handed us new boarding passes. No explanation. We looked at them and handed them right back and said no thank you, we had purchased tickets together. She said, "this flight has been oversold" and motioned for the next passenger to step up. This really upset my husband who told her, "Wait, we are not finished discussing this!" He went on to explain to her we purchased our tickets together with seat assignments - Together. She then said if we didn't reclaim them when checking in, 24 hours prior, the seats then became available again. What kind of logic is this?! Ugh! If I wanted to be treated like cattle I would have stuck with Southwest! We. It's back to Southwest for us. At least they are up front with their rules."

Also having to pay $200 extra for rental car because return flight departs from Sacramento and not able to return rental car from originating rental location."
