Everything was fine it was just cold
The airport needs to have some type of shuttle for passengers who have to make connecting flights between Hawaiian Airlines & Delta for example. I’m 65 & my sister who was with me is 70, lugging our luggage from one end of the airport to the other was extremely difficult.
Mika, was outstanding. Always available when needed by passes gers. She's very hospitable.
The staff was the highlight. Only thing that could have been better was the temperature on the flight from Hawaii to Seattle. The plane was too cold to get comfortable
I loved the hospitality of the crew, they were a great crew. What I didn’t like was how the airport I was going to be in for a layover closed down due to it raining in the area. I missed my connecting flight, and got put on a flight that departed 8 hours from the time I arrived to the airport. I also have no news on where my luggage is.
Cons: "The social distancing, the cdc is recommending 6 ft but there are passengers directly behind and in grinning us and only one passenger seat empty between 2 people. With covid on the rise, how are you actually doing your party to take care of your customers."

They had to stop service with only a few rows left to go due to turbulence but rather it just being a delay in service, the flight attendants never came back to check on the customers they hadn’t served even when the seat belt lights turned off. I really enjoy flying Delta but not this time!"

Very comfortable, and easy to fall asleep in, without disruption from other passengers who insist on keeping their reading lights on while everyone is trying to sleep."

Cons: "I went through security at Lima Peru (Jorge Chavez International), everything was fine. I arrived to Panama, and the gate was next door which is just great awesome. The bad part was that I had to go through a security check once again there, although I had not left the airport since I left Lima. I went through the exercise, I was told that there would be no liquids (8 oz bottle of water, soda, etc) allowed passed that check point. Yet they were selling these items next to the gate. It made no sense why this checkpoint and why the liquid restrictions. Once in the area if I wanted to go use the restroom or whatever I needed to go through the checkpoint. There were 6 Copa employees manning this station, that's extra expense that the company passes on to the flyer for a step that should be evaluated and look at to see why other airlines do not do this. I was not the only one getting frustrated with this setup, but also passengers that did not speak Spanish they could not communicate with Copa employees. I saw this liquid restriction with Spirit Airlines in Lima, and I decided not to fly with them any more, no matter how inexpensive their fares were. Spirit told us that it was US law that made them have people throw away their drinks, although they were bought in a secured area. To me this was just a way to charge for drinks on the plane. I never had to throw away my drink if I had bought it in a secured area."

We were not rebooked for a flight from PHX to SAT. But after a few hours we were finally booked. We didn’t really appreciate the 7 hour layover at 0100 in the morning and nowhere to get a meal or even coffee. However, the flight had the same crew from the night prior and they were excellent. The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on."

Had we not questioned the agent, we would have been stuck in PHX with no room, no car, and if we eventually would have gotten a flight, our reservations for car and hotel in SAT would have been cancelled and I would have been out $1700. I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future."

In fact, there appeared to be more non-functioning machines .than working ones which created a huge backlog of passengers. We then had to wait in another long line to have our bagged checked and boarded. This was one of the worse situations I've seen in a very long time."

Cons: "This flight was actually from Denver to Kona. There was 1.5 hour delay due to mechanical issue with plane, so we had to switch gates and planes. That wasn't so bad. What made it bad was an extra 45 minute delay because apparently maintenance forgot to sign off on the new plane. Also, the space below the seat for my feet and carry-on was unacceptable. All the aisle seats like mine had only half the space of the window seats for their feet. If you're in an aisle seat on that plane, it's impossible to fit anything but the size of a small purse under the seat in front of you. And the middle seat fares only a bit better. Finally, with 7 hours of flight time plus about an hour waiting to depart from gate on plane, the crew ignorantly decided to hand out the Hawaii form to fill out within 2 minutes of preparing to land. Many people didn't have time to fill out the form before being required to put tray tables up. Fortunately, these forms aren't as serious as going thru customs, but it's stupid to pass out the forms that late into the flight expecting people to complete them."

Cons: "First leg of my journey was delayed, so it was crazy connecting to my second United flight to Vegas. Poor service overnight."
Pros: "Flight was on time. Everything went smooth for being in coach."

Cons: "At check in time being told I needed a eta visa to enter Canada!"
Cons: "The food options are poor at best and it's really sad that they don't offer anything for free. My ticket wasn't cheap so I can't imagine they're saving me money on my ticket by not offering better food on that long of a flight. Especially lacking in any gluten free options or anything resembling healthy. A small thing of fruit that probably has 70 calories is not enough to sustain someone on a near 8 hour flight."
Cons: "My new luggage was mishandled so poorly that the bottom wheel assembly snapped in two and there is a puncture hole about an inch long in a different area of the bag. The bag is also very dirty. When I brought it to the counter I was told "Minor tears and wheels are not covered" and that I could "...make a homeowner's insurance claim." Not even an apology."
Pros: "*Sat in Economy Plus so had a good amount of room"
Cons: "*Ran out of overhead bin space early on. *The inflight entertainment worked for about 15 minutes and wouldn't work anymore."
Cons: "Change of seat w/o any notification."
Pros: "Lots of good movies to watch; inflight meal was pretty tasty."
Cons: "Couldn't check in on line; couldn't get a seat at airport check in and had to get assigned at the gate. Understand that the flight was fully booked but still was a little uncomfortable as I couldn't get an aisle seat."
Pros: "Checked on carry on for no charge"
Cons: "The passenger in the seat next to mine rented a tablet from United and proceeded to spend the entire night playing games or watching movies -- he never turned it off the entire flight. The glare from the tablet made it impossible for me to sleep or even nap on the flight. I asked the fellow if he would mind dimming the screen but he told me that wasn't possible. If United could put dimmable screens on the tablets it would help create an environment conducive to sleep, which is what most passengers want on a redeye flight. Alternatively, privacy screens would cut down on the shared glare. As it was, the flight was a nightmare."
Cons: "Noise level, couldn't use my light as it kept children up behind me and the guy next to me. Had to purchase food if desired."
Pros: "The crew onboard the United flights were very friendly and capable. Plus I downloaded the United app and was able to watch any show I could think of but Landed on Westworld, cause I can never catch-up."
Cons: "Virtually no food included on an $800 dollar 5 hr flight. I even upgraded economy elite. In the equivalent range Alaskan gives a very nice fo-meal in a box. Finally, I arrived for my flight from San Luis Obispo an hour and 45 minutes early and stood in line to check my small bag for the first 45 minutes. At which point the desk agent made the announcement she would no longer take bags. Luckily my bag was small enough to be considered a carry on so I just went to security. I don't know what people with large bags behind me did? then it takes another 45 mins to get through security at which point they see my 5 inch knife on X-ray machine. Which I packed 3 days earlier when I planned to check my bag. Lost the knife, fine, my fault, goodbye favorite pocket knife. but now I am randomly selected for explosives LOL by TSA. I get to the gate the gate agent scans a ticket for the person infront of me. I step up and the same gate agent puts her hand over the scanner and says sorry it is late!? There were 6 other people behind me and this is a 22 person plane. So I still not upset walk back out of the security area because TSA closes the area in between flights and call United. They get me on the next flight out and rescheduled my following flight only a 3 hour wait. An hour goes by and the first desk agent, they have been holding the first flight because enough people aren't onboard. SLB is a joke."
Pros: "SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD AND FRIENDLY STAFF"
Cons: "The movies kept doing out. They told us to log in and get compensated in a few days"
Pros: "The flight was on time and our luggage arrived on time."
Cons: "There's not much attention to friendliness any longer. The stewardess isn't any longer interested in making you feel welcomed. Seats are now so cramed together that you can barely lower your tray unless of course you want to pay an extra $100."
Cons: "I had to miss an extra day of work because of the delay coming back to Los Angeles. Thankful the Kayak app informed me of the delay in time to not go so early but once at the airport, my flight got delayed 2 more times."
Cons: "The most rude staff I've ever encountered, at least at the HNL airport. Movies didn't work"
Pros: "Comfortable seats and good service."
Cons: "Not really flight related, but having the call buttons located on arm rests was terrible and interrupted sleep for everyone whenever someone's arm would bump a button and set it off."

Cons: "Same experience on ANOTHER 8 hour flight I have NEVER flown on an international flight and NOT received a complimentary meal or two...When I'm flying for 8 hours. On top of that the seats were very small and uncomfortable. I shouldn't feel a person grabbing a magazine or pulling down a tray when I'm sitting in the seat in front of them. I couldn't consistently watch a show or movie for 3 minutes thanks to the wifi and or app on MY Samsung tablet....it's SO sad that you guys couldn't have them already installed like other airlines. This airline is already in hot water, I expected MUCH better customer service. I will do my best NOT to use them again and tell others to do the same."

Cons: "Not getting a confirmation email or check-in reminder. No working wifi or power docks on plane (marketed as having in-seat entertainment). Moved to the back of the plane with no recline and destroying my back after telling them I need at least minimal recline. Out of most food options upon being served last and given a soggy undressed chicken wrap for 12.00. Finally, the gate dock was not able to connect with the plane upon arrival yeilding a 30 minute delay at the gate. Unapologetic crew simply ready to turn onto the next flight. This is why I don't fly united."
Pros: "Flight attendants were great! Friendly, efficient, and helpful. Power outlets are outstanding."
Cons: "Luggage pick up was delayed. And the constant selling of products during the flight. Come on, a nine hour flight should have complimentary WiFi in this day and age. Also, few people want to pay for on board for airline food."

Cons: "$660 in baggage fees for a military traveller who signed up with a U.S. Flag carrier. The whole purpose of choosing United was their baggage limits, instead its just a code-shared flight with ANA as the operator and I end up paying loads to bring home equipment. Will use a budget airline that is more upfront with their fees next time."
Cons: "Seat are very cramped. I'm short and hardly ever complain about leg room but it was terrible."
Pros: "The crew were very friendly. The internet didn't work to be able see a movie so at the end of our 7 hour trip the airline compensated money for another trip within a year. That was cool!"
Cons: "Entertainment availability...interent/wifi"
Cons: "We paid extra to have seating together in an upgraded to business class. We paid an additional $89.00 each for this option on top of our airfare. When we got to the boarding gate and we were ready to have our ticket scanned we were told, "unfortunately, you two won't be able to be seated together, we had a seat change that affected your seating." then we were asked to go to the counter at the gate to see what could be done, but there was nothing that could be done, the flight was full. So our money was collected but due to the mess up on seating and loss of our $600.00 epi pen medication we didn't take the flight."
Cons: "Terrible experience ever!!!!! Didn't get economy plus that I paid for, seats didn't recline and luggage got damaged and was not replaces or compensated for."

Pros: "Everything else was fine. I was even able to access my luggage in LAX to retrieve my medication, which I accidentally had left in there. Thanks for that."
Cons: "Stewardess was so big and clumsy, that she had to hold on to the overhead bins and wake me up every time she squeezed through aisle and scraped by me. I know you cannot discriminate against big staff, but you have to make the aisle wider if you want your passengers to be comfortable and undisturbed."
Pros: "The return flightf we had our be on from S,an Francisco to Atlanta , we had only 20 minutes to make it to the boarding gate. We were tired and didn't have time to use the bathroom nor eat before boarding. This is because my flight was changed. I'm so upset with United."
