Cons: "When I was boarding the flight from Denver to Jackson the ticket agent was extremely hostile and rude. I was carrying a back pack and a small purse strapped across my shoulder which was maybe 4"x6". He shouted at me after I had handed in my ticket and started down the gangway that my purse needed to be in my backpack. I have never heard of such a thing in all my years of travel. I complied and started to put my purse into my backpack when he shouted at me "Ms. Derbyshire get back here now! You cannot be past the counter!" Your employee was rude, hostile and made me very upset as well as the other passengers waiting to board. Later other passengers who witnessed the event told me how upset they were. Sadly this is not the first time I have had issues with United. Clearly this type of behavior is in your culture. There is no need to shout at anyone."

No more united airlines for long flights."

The first one was a missing rivet - which turned out to be so bad they had to put Us in a different plane. Then, that plane developed some mechanical/software issues as we were taxing. My 3-hour flight turned into a +5.5 HR endeavor. When you are on 2 broken planes in a row with the same airline you start to to wonder about how well they are maintaining their equipment. I feel like I deserve more than a "sorry" for the use of my extra time, but no credit or flight certificate was forthcoming."

Cons: "Newark Airport. The terminal was probably 60 degrees. Navigation signs were the least helpful of any airport I've flown out of or into."

Only entertainment you have to pay extra for. The international flight UA929 was the WORST. Old enough to all have the loop playing screens and mine didn't even work."

Cons: "My flight got canceled and nobody could help. The first person I spoke to said there was nothing that United could do for me, and it was company policy that she could not find another airline to help me reach my destination. I asked her about Mobile and she checked. She found a flight flying into the same city she told me had such bad weather nothing could land. At this point I was completely confused. I had to call back several times to get a realistic answer and flight. At the airport checking in we were told our flight was canceled again. They rerouted us several times. The customer service rep for United, last name Barret, told us he upgraded our seat to economy plus on our flight back. This did not happen, we sat in the very back by the toilets. Back to leaving pensacola; so we we're rerouted to Denver through American Airlines so we had to pay for our shuttle in Hayden, CO which we couldn't use and we had to now pay for a shuttle from Denver to Steamboat Springs. We did not arrive until after 1 AM the next day. We had to also pay for a day that we did not use at our lodge in Steamboat. Back to landing in Denver, our luggage was left in Dallas so we had to pay for ski rentals, again another added cost. We were told by both airlines, American and United, that we would be contacted and reimbursed for their failure to provide the services they promised and any added expense. I have never heard from them! There are multitude of other systemic failures throughout the company and especially within their customer service department. I am extremely unhappy with their failure to follow through with the commitment they promised."
