Pros: "These ladies work hard on this plane. They were checking on you and serving food or drink every hour. Always polite and accommodating. The seats are very comfortable and roomy. Great selection of entertainment. I would highly recommend."

Our flight was delayed twice, once in Frankfurt for late luggage and the ground crew left without pushing back the plane, then again in Seattle for a plane on the tarmac on fire. A 10 hour flight turned into 14 hours but I still enjoyed it. There was plenty of leg room and the seats were very comfortable. The entertainment was very enjoyable and the meals were satisfying. For such a long haul Lufthansa made the time flyby."

Cons: "The single bright spot in this entire travel experience was an American Airlines employees named Rebecca A. This was the worst trip of my life, and I had real fears of missing the once in a lifetime experience of being at my good friends wedding. 1. My original flight plan was to leave on a Saturday afternoon from Salt Lake to Chicago to Madrid to Oviedo. My friends wedding in Spain left little wiggle room for dates. My flights were canceled 3 times, and I was never notified. I was also subsequently dropped from the connecting international flights, all without any notification. I found out at the airport, that the canceled morning flights from Salt lake City to Chicago actually departed. 2. I then basically had to re-book the entire flight and was offered no reimbursement or selected seating for the upgrades I originally purchased. I spent quite a while on the phones to do this, not including the many hours already spent trying to understand and rebook the flight situation. These were confirmed the Friday before I flew out. 3. The new flights left on a Sunday afternoon. I was flying to Dallas, then Madrid, and finally Oviedo. I was notified 2 hours before departure that my Dallas flight would be delayed. Given my previous issues, I quickly looked at all my flight info and realized I would have 10 minutes from landing to now make my connecting flight from Dallas to London. This was impossible. There was no mention from the notification that I would have been stranded in Dallas had I gotten on this plane. Who knows where my luggage would have ended up. 4. This is my 3rd re-booking, and I will ultimately miss almost 2.5 days of my vacation, non-travel time in Spain. 5. The new re-booking is to Dallas to London to Madrid to Oviedo. I am now getting in Late Monday night instead of the original early Sunday afternoon. Again, there is minimal seat help or offerings in the re--booking, and I still have not even left my original destination. Additionally, I have to pay much more for any possible seat upgrades given the last minute options. 6. I decided to just cancel the Oviedo flight and will likely not be reimbursed for my seat. The return trip somehow left off my TSA preapproved status. Normally a minor annoyance that I had to stand in long lines, I was now exhausted from the long list of horrible travel experiences. 7. I would also recommend that seats not recline so far in future airplane builds. I am 5'7''. When the family in front of me leaned teh seats back to full capacity, my knees were immediately hitting the seat for 8 straight hours. This is just bad luck flying and not the airlines fault. However, please remove the full recline ability."

I would think at a major airport like DFW where American Airlines has a hub, they would make sure to staff that longer. Just getting to keep my shoes on, while having to drag all my electronics and liquids out, take my coat and belt off, etc. is not acceptable. AA should put the pressure on DFW to treat their customers better!"

I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled."

They gave me the option of after a 13 hour flight at 11:30pm walking over to find AA staff in another terminal to argue for payment. I was too tired. After 1 million miles on AA I will avoid them now."

Pros: "The plane has improved greatly with their comfort and leg space"
Cons: "With checking my luggage my bag fee was waived a total of seven times this trip because I'm a military wife to see my husband overseas who is serving a year in Saudi Arabi except this past time on October 2nd at DCA airport. Spoke with the Supervisor Ralph who stated it was against policy. How stringent is this policy if it was waived seven times previously? Policy needs to be reviewed with entire staff. I will no longer use American Airlines because their military convenience and policies no longer seem to favor the military. My husband also after speaking with him will also no longer use your airline including all his members he overseas when they return after their year tour."

Pros: "The people"
Cons: "The seats are too small I'm 6'1 and that's not that tall"

Pros: "Almost 20 hours before regular flight time, received numerous texts from airline that flight will be delayed. Some were delays if 4,5 hours then changed to almost 8 hrs then back to 6 hours . Needless to say connection flight is messed up and no way of knowing what that might be until arriving at airport. Then more confusion, too almost an hour to get checked in. With connecting flight of 1.5 hours which is scary for international flight that requires going through custom then recheck luggage and TSA line again. The saving grace is captain speed up place on first leg of international flight so arrived airport 1 hour early, thus allowing enough time to connect."

Cons: "The Flight Attendant never gave me back my credit card."

Cons: "Have kinder staff. Be more customer oriented. Be more like Westjet."

Pros: "Nice crew."
Cons: "Would have liked some better movie choices."

Cons: "Toilets were dirty and not enough toilet papers"

Cons: "1. Broken arm, asked for 1st pre-boarding. Was told, “it’s over there”. That’s it. By the time I got on everyone in my section was already on. No one helped me w my one backpack, watching me struggle. 2. The crew appeared to hate their jobs. Scowls and general poor attitudes. 3. Food. Airline food in general is not good. However, this stuff was barely edible. Terrible. 4. Information. None. I had to use the APP to get any info. My connecting flight was almost 4 hours delayed - w NO info. In fact, NO GATE AGENT the entire 4 hours. After finally boarding my flight, the captain apologized for the delay because of a two hour delay in another city. Numbers don’t match - sorry. Then he announced we needed to di ice. No problem. Safety first. He said no longer than 30 minutes. One hour later we were on our way. Overall, I was extremely disappointed in my experience with Air Canada - very disappointed."

Cons: "Service counter at check in Vancouver was terrible and unprofessional. Poor to very poor. Flight delayed with no announcement until you ready to board then they inform you your flight has been delayed but wouldn’t give reasons. Twice. Both connections."

Cons: "Inability to check in online and via machine in transit. Cheap flight gets you cheap service. My entertainment console did not work and had to ask crew to reboot it. Many others had same problem. Food is below meh. My travel was Air Canada all the way but portions provided/partnered with Alaska Air. I was not able to check in for both portions of my travel from HKG to YVR to SEA."

Cons: "Amenity kit in Premium economy sub par. Ear buds inadequate. Need noise cancelling headphones for the entire plane. On line "best price guarantee" is hogwash and completely untrue when tested."

Pros: "Good service and landed early. Luggage was quick"

Cons: "Generally not friendly, bathrooms were filthy from the time we got on the plane. Everything is dirty bad smells everywhere. Delayed, no space, no good food, no fruit, so many little things missing, limited entertainment options. LBP airport is the most inefficient airport in the world, always wait forever for my luggage with lots of rude staff everywhere. Some 400-600 people were trying to leave the airport through two lines to pass off the last sheet which is unnecessary. They should take a lesson from other airports like Hong Kong and Singapore. Absolutely despise going through Toronto airport as well as Air Canada gates when departing."

Cons: "THe food as usual on AC flights is only passable. . The warm rolls as advertised are ice cold. Some of your flight attendants can often be rude to customers and many could benefit from attending Weight Watchers as they can scarcely make it down the aisles and often bump into customers."

Pros: "One flight attendant in particular stood out to me. She was extremely friendly and pleasant the whole flight. Flying is not always the easiest experience, especially during a 12 hour journey. Her positive attitiude definitely made it more bearable. Excellent customer service!"
Cons: "Certain members of crew did not offer the best flying experience. Ranged from being rude and curt with customers, and not being friendly and accommodating - need an attitude adjustment."

Pros: "The plane is new."
Cons: "Meal needs to improve. All Nippon airways served much better meal."

Pros: "The food and the crew."
Cons: "The choice of movies was not as many or as good as other airlines that fly between HKG and PDX, such as Delta and Cathay Pacific."

Cons: "We did not make this flight due to the first flight being over an hour late. This caused us to miss our connection to St. Louis. While they rerouted others on the flight, they did not reroute us because we didn't check any luggage! Their reasoning was we had a chance to make the connection. But they made us wait in a line for 10 minutes to be told that despite our requests to go to the gate. By then it was too late. We then had to fly stand by to Chicago and stand by again to get to St. Louis."

Pros: "The blankets and pillow provided to every single customer. The food was actually pretty good except for the breakfast meal could have been a little better."
Cons: "Pretty much just the breakfast meal and the buttons on the armrest, the person to our right kept accidentally turning on my light and changing my volume with her elbow."

Pros: "We were able to switch to an earlier flight. gate agent was very helpful"

Cons: "We got a hotel in St. Louis so we'd be plenty early for our morning flight. Got to the airport more than 2 hours early, checked in and waited. They announced over the overhead speakers that our flight was delayed due to mechanical issues. Then delayed again. Then cancelled. We were on the phone with both the airline and priceline ASAP. By "on the phone" I mean "holding for the next available representative...", which was more than an hour wait for both. The airline didn't have another flight they could fit us on until next week. We asked priceline to get us on the next available flight. We held, were disconnected, held, held more, disconnected, held more...until the day was gone. That evening they finally said they booked us on a 6:15 a.m. flight. I asked for an email confirmation and when it didn't arrive several hours later I called back. "Please hold" was the catch phrase of the day. Eventually a rep came on the line and said that we had a 6:15 a.m. flight, gave me the flight number, etc. and said the email would arrive shortly. We went to bed feeling good. We got up at 3 a.m. to get to the airport by 4 a.m. The airline didn't have anything on us. We had two hours to get this straightened out so we weren't TOO worried. "Please hold" When the priceline rep finally came on the phone she said we had reservations and the airline should let us on. Even though it was 5 a.m. now there was a long line at the airport check-in. When we got to the front of the line the guy dug deeper into his system, said he could find our reservation, but that priceline just hadn't purchased the tickets. I told this to the priceline rep on the phone. "Please hold" We watched as our flight left. We spent the day trying to get priceline to get us on a flight, but I was never able to speak to someone able to get us on a flight."

Cons: "We had a terrible time trying to get in contact with Air Canada. We spent literally hours on hold and multiple times we hung up without any answer. Customer service needs to drastically improve."

Cons: "You put me on Delta once I got to Detroit. Confusing and exhausting when you're not use to different airports and flying."

Pros: "The crew was friendly and prompt. They kept us informed and acted very professional."

Pros: "The entertainment/media center. The built-in digital movie, TV, music center was excellent! It was the only redeeming aspect of the flight. NOTE: one person in our party had a faulty unit that the volume went out of control when the crew spoke - she stopped using it as a result"
Cons: "The least comfortable flight I've taken for a long trip. My family complained constantly also, including my daughter that travels for pleasure more than I do. The seats seem impossible to get comfortable in. I'm 6 feet tall and 175 lbs and the seat is too narrow to try to do anything that sit up straight. The angle of the seat to the bottom of the seat in front make it difficult to find a comfortable position. Once I got my legs under the seat in front of me my own seat pad pushed into my thighs limiting the blood flow. The flight attendants on the flight there and the flight back seemed like they hated their job. Never cracked a smile and seemed to be trying to make it through their chores. They ALL seemed unhappy and stressed. The food was the worst we've ever had on any flight, domestic or international. The sandwich for lunch was TERRIBLE. Out of 5 people none of us finished it. We tore most of the puffy odd bread off of it which left the meat which lacked any discernible flavor - making it taste fake. Having visited a couple of 3rd world countries on this flight we felt more at risk of eating bad food on the airline than on the streets of Hanoi. First and last time we'll fly Air Canada."

Pros: "I've been taking this flight for many years. The flight times, crew, and boarding process are all excellent. The food is always very good for a plane flight with plenty of options. When awake, the new seats are a pleasure and I especially appreciate the extra storage areas."
Cons: "By definition, this flight is long-haul with the necessity to sleep on it. In executive class, they have recently changed the "seats". The old ones were too cramped (narrow) for a 6 ft guy. The new ones are not only narrow but the table that telescopes down restricts the vertical height when the seat is fully down. It is literally impossible to lay on your side. This was a horrendous design and unacceptable for a sleeping flight."

Cons: "Air Canada SQUEEZES 10 seats across on this 777 (I've never had more than 9 on any other airline) and it is very cramped and uncomfortable (you'd better like your seat mates because you will be rubbing elbows and shoulders with them for many hours, especially on this 12 hour flight. They have very little leg room as well. This is the most miserable long haul airplane I have ever flown on, and I fly a lot. Discount airline planes are more comfortable than this one. It was over an hour after we had our meal until they got around to picking up our trays."

Pros: "aircraft was new 787 - very spacious with excellent head and leg room. Plane ride was smooth and with very little roughness even during turbulence. Take off and landing extremely smooth."
Cons: "As a rule airplane food is not the best. Having the rolls warmed would be nice."

Pros: "Had heard a lot of negative comments about Air Canada online. There was no evidence of it."
Cons: "Food. The quantity was less. Even an eleven year old child was feeling hungry."
