The supporting staff were good and supported a super senior citizen traveling alone. This is much appreciated. It would have been an excellent experience if your staff knew Kannada a local language. Without that, traveler had to scramble to understand the steps, the issued documents. and to find next steps.
For a business class window passenger just to use toilet has to disturb the aisle passenger. Only the middle row has the freedom in this case. The flight from San Diego to Tokyo the seats were better positioned with the same configuration of 2-2-2.
Flight crews are very attentive and polite. Cabin and toilets are clean. Food is above average for economy class. We missed our connecting flights because the first flight was delayed, the ground crews at Tokyo were very helpful, providing all the information and support (including cash for our train ticket) to get us to our destination. Very impressive. No wonder they are always at the top ten lists.
Economy is very uncomfortable. Feels like they are punishing you for flying economy. There was no premium economy at all in the plane. Obviously old vintage plane, They should not be flying those planes. It is dangerous. Need to think more of passenger comfort than their money pocketbook. Hari Doss
Japan Airlines was excellent as usual once on the plane. Cabin crew was wonderful as usual. Boarding was solid on the Honolulu leg. For Thai Airways the boarding was less organized. I was in an earlier group but they weren’t clear with the numbers or instructions. Flight crew from Japan to Thailand was very good.
My wife had vegetarian meal and food was meh. Needed to have a but more flavors instead of it being just boiled vegetables.
for a such long and tiresome flight with halt of 10 hrs. during night Indigo should provide night stay arrangeement to such transit passengers we both are senior citizens of nealy 75 with some diability. any responsible air line should provide such arrangements.
Excellent crew, immediate attention for any request. Both ways on time (rather before time arrival at Haneda). Only complaint was that the seats are not reclining like rest of the airlines that I travelled. The Backrest is fixed. The reclining is only within the box seat, so you slide down forward for reclining, not backward. So it was bit uncomfortable. The food for the day trip was excellent. For the night flight, no breakfast was served, only dinner, which was disappointing.
Japan airlines is excellent. I had a great flight with them, and they are the consummate professionals. I booked my flight through Kayak and they sent it on to Underpricer. That felt really scammy. My Oneworld number would not attach to the reservation and I could not choose a seat. I called Japan Airlines and got one but it was in the back. Later I drove to the airport and worked with the excellent agents there to find a better one. Later that day, I got a phone call from Underpricer trying to upsell me the option of choosing a seat. It felt like a Spirit Airlines level crappy move. The flight itself was exactly as nice as you would expect from JAL. The meal was good and the flight crew was awesome.
Flight attendants did great job for the families who has toddlers. One of toddlers behind us was crying for 4 hours straight and they helped the parents very well. and flight meal was delicious
