Ran across the entire terminal to get there and they would not let me on. Last Flight of the night to Bismarck. Missed my uncle's 90th birthday party. Would not give me food voucher. Delta gate agent told me she would lose her job if she did not close the doors 8 minutes prior. However the Minneapolis flight waited for 15 minutes for people to board that plane. How does that compute? Why would they not wait 3 minutes for me rather than pay the money to put me up in a hotel?"

That same plane, upon taking off back to DTW blew a tire upon take-off, had to do an emergency landing and everyone had to spend the night in NOLA after being delayed all day."

Cons: "Long Delays, Over Booked Flights, Customer Service is not helpful, Wrong info delivered by Customer Service, No boarding gate info, Luggage was damaged, and I was charged a large premium with no added value. Delta sold me a 1st class flight because of their delays and overbooking their flights. This was because they could not fulfill the ticket I had. This was Delta's solution to their problem caused by them. I still have no idea why the flights were delayed. On top of all this, I overheard a walk-on pilot ask if there was room for him to catch a lift home. The flight attendant responded with "absolutely this flight is not full at all, you can sit right here". Wait I had to pay 200 bucks extra for an overbooked flight and you are having your Delta representatives say different. This was my first and last trip with Delta. I spent 1000 dollars for round trip ticket from Seattle to Spokane WA. No way is that OK or acceptable under any circumstances to treat your customers like this. The best part about all of this is, I have sent feedback and called customer service to talk to a manager to hear the blame put on back on me. Perception is reality Delta. Awful service, awful prices, awful care, awful communication, and awful value for the money."

In today's age of technology the idea that they are still overbooking planes makes no sense to me in the slightest. I will be walking, driving or taking a boat before I fly American Airlines again."

Then, when we finally got on the plane and were about to take off, the air traffic control tower called and said that their flight path was incorrect and to not take off...but didn't give them a new flight path for nearly two hours as we sat on the runway. Nationalize the airports in DC, fire the whole lot and start fresh, I'd say."

If you find a reasonably priced flight you don't have to worry about paying extra for baggage or stomach during the flight. On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are "free" and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn't mean I will never fly United again."

Try sitting in a middle seat after two overseas flights... especially as a tall person with no knee space and a super-uncomfortable seat with the headcushion area reaching only your neck. Those seats were clearly made for folks under 5'8"-5'9"."

I wasn't allowed to actually check my heavy bag, was made to carry it on, which was over whelming and hurt my back, really annoying and stressful. Felt ignored because I was a woman. Felt annoyed that they gave me a hard time about paying them cash. No where on the website does it say credit cards only. Also the seats were small and did not recline. On my return trip they changed the gate 2 mins before boarding and I had to run to catch the flight. I would not recommend."

Others felt like me after gettting ripped off, and it creates tension on the flight, when you just hate the airline the entire flight and you just want to sue them- its not a good feeling added when you fly."
Cons: "First my flight was canceled do to " weather conditions" even though all other airlines were flying out to the same city. When I asked for help the desk attendant said I can look on my phone for available flights. So I didn't feel like the staffed cared at all. The flight back went without a delay but the airplane felt very cramped and with no entertainment to distract us from our 4 hour flight. When I did finally order a coffee and muffin the flight attendant staired at me like I wasn't speaking English. And passed everything to me 1 by 1 in the most awkward uncomfortable way. I don't know how exactly to describe it but it was incredibly strange and not very professional. Over all I won't be flying with this airline again."

Cons: "I have traveled around the world as an auditor. I am no rookie to the game. I laughed when they informed me my carry on was $54 since my flight was purchased for $45 (one way to New Orleans). I was in the boarding area 1 hour prior to loading (Not fully paying attention). I was standing 30 feet from the gate 20 minutes before boarding time (paying full attention) and did not realize they had already loaded the plane. They said they called my name 3 times which means I couldn't /didn't hear them. My bags left without me. I ended up buying a ticket on delta because I had to link up with my family for a reunion. This was one of the most memorable crappy experiences of my adult life."

Okay where do I start. I flew or at least tried to fly from Las Vegas to New Orleans with Spirit Airlines. My flight wasn't till 7:30pm. I showed up early to find out my flight had been delayed till 9:30pm. That wasn't a big deal. I left the airport to go back into the city since I had extra time. I received an email at 6:45pm saying my flight was on time so I raced to the airport to find out that they had a computer problem and my flight had been delayed till 10:30pm now. I hung around the gate from 7:10pm till 8:30pm just to see my flight being delayed more and more. I would look up to see it change from 10:30pm, 12, 12:30am. I went to talk to the front desk at 9:30pm to find out why my flight kept being delayed. She said they would know more in the next five minutes. Soon after that they came across the intercom saying that the flight had been canceled. I raced down to the check-in and talked to them about a reschedule. They said they didn't have another flight going out till tomorrow at 7:30pm. They would put me in a hotel and give me a shuttle or they would give me my money back without anything. I asked to get help with another airlines that could get me to New Orleans sooner but they wouldn't help. (Rumor has it the shuttle didn't leave till everyone was on it that was going to the hotel. There had to be 75 people in line trying to rebook a flight and get a hotel.) I ended up getting a refund for my ticket, booked with American Airlines and flew back the next day at 6:15am. Long story short I didn't save money flying with Spirit Airlines. I won't fly with them again. If I were you I would just pay the extra money and fly with another company because after baggage fees you're not saving anything. Safe travels!"
Pros: "My flight to Las Vegas was delayed 7 hours with no compensation. Then the flight from Vegas to New Orleans was delayed 2 hrs at 2pm then site 2 hrs at 5pm until it was finally canceled at 10pm. After I spent 3.5 hrs standing in line I was re-booked a non direct flight the next day with another airline,and they put me up in a hotel for 2hours until my next day of flying to Denver, Houston, and then new Orleans. I was originally supposed to arrive in new Orleans via a direct flight Sunday night but ended up not reaching my final destination until Tuesday afternoon."

The steward woke me up at midnight to ask if I wanted to purchase a coke. My return flight was delayed all day then canceled. Services were less than professional and filled with hidden fees."

Pros: "I almost swore off Spirit a few years ago, after terrible customer service and unclean planes etc. This trip has made me reconsider. The crew was the best asset. They were entertaining, so pleasant, joking and engaging with customers all while being professional and efficient. Better service than the "premier" airlines that I have recently flown. We were more inclined to order drinks and food onboard because we were in good spirits and felt that we didn't need to wait until touchdown to allow vacation to begin. Thank you for a great experience (it was the same crew for both legs)"
Cons: "Bummer that the seats don't recline (but for short flights, not terribly bad) We had a layover on both legs of the trip, however were unaware that we would not be switching planes. We had to choose to run off the aircraft to grab a sandwich etc vs waiting 3 more hours to eat. When we decided there was enough time, we made no stops, walked off the plane and to the first food booth we saw, and we walked back to the gate and sat to eat our food. Only after watching someone else run onto the jet bridge, did I ask the gate attendant (who was 5 steps away from me) if we needed to board. She casually said "oh yea, we're going to close the gate in 2 minutes" !!! there was no overhead page/announcement/ or her asking if we were on that flight (when she had seen us de-plane and ask her directions, and could tell on her flight logs that some people were still to board). We were super lucky not to miss that flight and I wish we felt that she was working in our best interest. --This was the only lacking part of our flight. --maybe on boarding tickets, you could ** and state that both legs are on the same aircraft? So we could plan ahead? -- perhaps train gate attendants to page prior to gates closing if not all passengers are on board (like all other airlines do) Thank you for considering changes and feedback"
