It took them two months - TWO MONTHS - to email me back, to tell me there was nothing they could do. I also had to be reticketed on my flight from Tokyo to Hanoi. It took them 3 1/2 hours to do this. I had to sit in the airport for 3 1/2 hours to get my ticket changed. Unbelievable. They could’ve chiseled it in stone faster than they issued it."

The courtesy packets had many useful items including eye refreshers, lip balm, and the bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked with both mouthwash and toothbrush/paste. All together as flawless and comfortable an experience as possible on a commercial carrier."

Cons: "We were informed our flight was not to land in Haneda but at Narita. We specifically picked that flight pattern because of the ease of traveling from Hawaii to Haneda to Naha. We wouldn't have to drag two large suitcases and a rollaboard after checking out of customs and immigration very far. Same airport to land and depart. Well the arrival airport was changed to Narita $32.00 per person for Airport Limobus to Haneda. We get off at Haneda and are informed we cannot stay there and wait at the domestic airport for our 6:25 am flight to Naha. We had to load all 6 pieces of luggage on the shuttle bus and transfer to the international terminal because they close the domestic terminal at midnight. There was no hotel accommodations at the domestic airport as the hotel was booked two months in advance!!! We had to wait at the international airport terminal till 4:30 am when we then transferred back to the domestic terminal with our 6 pieces of luggage. Tell me how happy you'd be!!!"

Cons: "We had a last minute flight change to extend my business stay in Asia. Our firm contacted JAL on 3/1 to extend the return date from 3/3 to 3/8. We were told that it was done and just call back on 3/7 to confirm flight. When we called back on 3/7, they said the flight was never rescheduled and could not find a voice recording of the request. Despite our offering of evidence of our other ticket from Osaka to TPE (3/3-3/8 round trip) showing that it was not a no-show, and we have phone records of calling JAL on 3/1. Nevertheless, their customer care center in CHINA was firm that it cannot be done. The money has been wasted. Ridiculous service for a 3,500 business class ticket."

The food and beverage options were comparable to most airlines like Delta, United, etc, but presentation was better so they get style points. Their wifi connectivity was far better than Gogo's services, which is the provider for most domestic airlines. The real improvement compared to most my travel was the level of service. The staff was incredibly attentive."

I had to sit over the aisle from my children as it was a 2 2 seating but the staff didnt seem to pursue where their mother was even though i was 1 row back. They didn't need me but i thought they should have at least enquired as to where the parent was of 2 11 yr olds. They were also curt trying to rush us off the flight as my daughter was trying to locate a lost item as we arrived. She has limited sight and we need time to get off and to find things.... given she has lost an iPad, and very expensive reading glasses and other things on the trips that span 24 - 36 hrs."

Cons: "Two key issues: 1. Split up seating 2. Required to pick up and check baggage with limited time due to customs check. 1. They split up all four of our seats (despite booking more than 30 days in advance). Our seven (7) year old daughter was by her self. So was our fifteen (15) year old son. When we addressed it to baggage check (part of major issue number 2), they put two seats together, across an aisle, with both children in them. We obviously just sat one of the adults with the seven year old. This was not just us. SEVERAL families had children seated alone and spread all over the plane. ANA needs to require grouped seating for children under thirteen (13) years old with an adult. 2. Tokyo Haneda is the only airport I can think of where I have to pick up and check baggage again just to clear customs. The flights were 1 hour and 45 minutes apart. With nearly an hour dedicated to getting baggage claimed and getting through customs, we barely had time to fix two of our split seats (see issue 1) and rush via a free bus route that took 6 minutes (luckily we were first stop) to get us to domestic terminal 2. We were then lucky again because we made it through security quickly and our gate happened to be right next to the security check we chose. Another side piece: Haneda Domestic Terminal 2 has four security check areas (A-D). We saw no identifying marks indicating which were closest to which gate. Our bags have already been through a bag check process. Feel free to run them through security scans. Don’t make us wait to collect them just to walk them through the customs desk and check them again."

Cons: "From Japan to other places they're always organised, but boarding in London was a little chaotic which is a common problem for ANA flights in other countries *to* Japan - they hadn't set up signs properly or made clear announcements for families with children, First Class, Business class boarding etc. The First Class/Diamond status queue (not for me!) was actually set up in front of a supporting pillar, basic organisational things like that. On balance though, still a top-class airline."

With a warm blanket provided, I would suggest keeping the cabin a bit cooler and providing extra blankets if people need them. Also the movie selection on ANA is not nearly as comprehensive as what United provides on international flights."

I had emailed and requested an aisle seat when I booked because I would need to express milk and get back and forth to the bathroom. I was told I would need to pay for the option to request a seat. Instead I had to sit in the worst seat on the plane without even being able to easily get out to wash my hands before pumping."

Cons: "Delay after delay. Took way too long for de-icing. The storage compartmemt door got stuck and I could not get my bag out. The flight attendant blamed the issue on my bag. She claimed it was too big. It was not. I have carried the bag on several flights with similar planes, the gate agent slowed it on the plane as many have, and I had no issue opening and closing other compartment as I tried a couple after maintenance retrieved my bag."

Cons: "Delayed for over an hour but not notified of the length of the delay in a fashion which would allow me to drive the 2 hours to Chicago in order to make my connection. Repeatedly told the connecting flight was the last one out of the entire airport to my final destination. Heard other travelers discussing that they had been rebooked onto an alternate airline and then found a later flight on Kayak, walked up to podium and asked to be rebooked on that specific flight, which they grudgingly did. Of note, I was repeatedly reassured that they were "sure" I would make my connection without a problem and to stop worrying so much. My flight left out of Madison 2 minutes after my connection departed Chicago. I usually fly a different airline, whose flights out of Madison were all on time that day, and will do so in the future despite more expensive ticket. The actual crew on the flight was lovely and apologetic, did everything they could to help us despite the delays. At least that's something."

Cons: "Very negative about this company they did two times cancelation, at first was problem with lights in plane and we stay over an hour, then they say that the airplain has mechanical problems and we waited about one more hour, then they returned us to airport and we waited one more hour, finally after 3 hours they start to board us but service was horrible so rod boarding people. So I hade meeting with singing contract in the morning, I was late contract cancelled and I lose my money..... The company did not any compensation. I'm so Negative, negative, about this company, not recommended will never have again"

Cons: "My connection was clear across the airport, it was quite the trek when the second flight was already boarding"

Cons: "During the flight, I went to ask for a glass of water. The flight attendant in the galley was doing a crossword puzzle, and when I made my request, she turned around and pointed to a pitcher of water, and went back to her puzzle. Unbelievable."

Pros: "I went a different route back to Denver I drove in a vehicle do the circumstances of a friend moving back to Colorado from Michigan. So I called ahead of time and let United Airlines know to go ahead and give my seat to anybody"

Cons: "No plugs for electrical, no entertainment and no internet. The seats were very tight. Especially the man next to me was 300+ lbs. Also I had to pay for baggage even though I have united cc. American has all these things and doesn't charge me for baggage."

Cons: "My flight in January was delayed because mechanical issues with the plane. My flight in February was delayed because of mechanical issues on the plane. Each time we were delayed about the amount of time the actual flight takes. The bathrooms on both planes smelled like a sewer."

Cons: "AFTER boarding, you endeavored to remove 41 passengers. Only interaction was through an overwhelmed flight attendant, who barely spoke english. Was an experience that eroded confidence in safety, something one would imagine from a third world airline. Unacceptable. No direction. Only instruction was to call United."

Cons: "United just doesn't stand up well against other carriers. It's becoming difficult to rationalize continuing to use United given their obvious tendency toward making money at the expense of the comfort of their customers. Everybody is aware and comments are continuous."

Cons: "Taxied on the tarmac in Chicago for almost as long as we were in the air from South Bend. Arrived too early and there was no gate. By the time we finally deplaned, my next flight was already boarding."

Cons: "first class seats not comfy. No wi-fi on the entire outbound. I had paid $149 to upgrade to first class. With no movies, no wi-fi, and being a vegetarian with 2 chicken entrees (chicken sandwich or chicken salad!) and no extra room, I decided to drink. I had 3 "free drinks" in first class, which was like paying $50 for a vodka tonic without a lime (3 times). Save you $$$"

Cons: "I'm 6'4" and if I would've had to sit on that plane much longer I would've been quite sore. Seats are small, space is exceedingly limited. But, it was a regional jet, so this was to be expected. Nonetheless, other airlines' regional jets haven't been quite so cramped."

Cons: "Maintenance delayed us for about an hour? supposedly a walky-talky, then paperwork problems. No food offered on a 5 hour flight. No free movie, only option was a 7.99 direct tv, Rippoff. Lots of turbulence. Main problem I had was no leg room. Im not a big person but I felt like a stuffed sardine between 2 other people."

Cons: "we boarded late. we were told that unless we were ready for take off in 6 minutes we would have to wait 3 hours due to ATC. It created an unnecessary level of worry on the plane. And...avoidable: we could have loaded on time rather than starting boarding at about 11:20 a.m. for this 1137 flight."
