Pros: The crew and food was amazing, with ample entertainment selections.

Cons: Seats. For some unknown reason, JAL uses different seats on this 787-8 flight from NRT-SAN that's 2-3 inches less in pitch than all of their other planes. This was not comfortable on a 9-hour+ flight. The flight attendants also woke us up everytime food was served so we could recline up seats.

Pros: One of the JAL ground crew was fantastic at Narita airport. I didn’t have enough time to get on my next flight. She provided me full assistance to take me to the connecting flight gate on time.

Cons: Several flight attendants gave me wrong drinks.

Pros: I liked the free in ight movies which makes a 5 hr plane ride a a lot more enjoyable. Having 2 rounds of free beverages was also what I liked. The seats are comfortable, plenty of leg room, love that there are plug/ports to charge you electronic devices.

Cons: What could have been better especially on a 5hr flight to Honolulu would be free wifi, free meals, if not free meals then 2 rounds of snacks, and I know it's out of the airlines control, but families with their screaming babies who's parents leave the tray down to keep their toddler entertained so she could kick it up and down through out the flight. I feel the airlines should place families with babies and toddlers together on a portion of the plane.

Cons: I would have liked the ebooks section of the entertainment options expanded. I love to read and that would have greatly distracted from the discomfort of having to sit so long in such cramped quarters.

Pros: The coach seats were larger than seats for domestic flights. The windows were dimmable for optimal lighting.

Cons: The armrests did not go up all the way, which made it difficult to maximize comfort with my travel partner.

Cons: I don't think it could be made better but legroom on this flight was cramped. Certain planes in the JAL fleet have really cramped legroom and uncomfortable seats.

Pros: The flight attendants were nice enough and the snacks/beverages were average/as expected.

Cons: This flight was delayed for more than 2.5 hours and the communication was poor. The gate agents weren’t helpful. The airport didn’t have enough outlets. Or chairs. My flight out to this location was also delayed by over three hours. At least they tried to make us feel better by telling us what was going on. The staff at the airport were rude and unhelpful and United airlines is unreliable.

Pros: Boarding was on time and ran smoothly. In flight crew was friendly and attentive.

Pros: What mede this trip so poor was that the agent at the desk informed me that as I was boarding the plane my carry on suitcase had to be checked due to limited space in the overhead bins. This is the same carry on that I have stored in overheads on literally over 100 flights including a United flight 4 days earlier. I was the approximately the fith passenger to board in group 3 and after I let her check my bag I walked on to the plane to see not only was it only one quarter full of passengers, most of the overhead bins were completely empty. So I had to go to baggage claim to get my checked bag after we landed which took almost 40 minutes. Very frustrating!

Cons: Half the screens were not working - crew were made aware but nothing was done. Vegetarian choices were poor to non-existent ; I witnessed crew insist to a passenger that there were no vegetarian options! They finally cobbled something together for him but not a pleasant experience

Pros: The crew tried to be helpful but were equally frustrated with the ground crew.

Cons: Follow your own policies. Allow people to board (economy plus) with their hand luggage who have followed all the rules and chosen a seat in the front of the plane. My daughter and my KLM approved baggage were taken by the boarding crew while allowing other passengers to go with more than allowed
