My plans changed and I was not able to leave on the original date booked. My great $58 fare was completely lost. To change the ticket, a $99 change fee had to be paid along with a $25 fee assessed because the booking went through a 3rd party. I ended up buying a brand new ticket on a different airline.
As a discount carrier, the published airfare price was very attractive and the flight took off and landed on time, which was what I wanted.
Those cheap fares mean they won't be providing anything more than the basic ride to your destination. Expect to pay extra for snacks, drinks, checked baggage (even my notebook computer was counted as a carry-on 'extra' because I also had a small backpack, which was rather annoying :: they're both quite small) and any entertainment (which, on my flight, wasn't even offered). $1.99 for a can of Pepsi or $8.99 for a pop and small bag of chips... well, they have to make money somehow.
The price of the overall flight and that I was charged less for a check in vs a carry on. The crew was also very friendly!
The seats no longer recline, you are charging for any other beverage but water (one of the only airlines I recall that does this), there are no longer any snacks provided. While these sound like minuscule things in the long haul, just providing these little extras would make all the difference in the world.
The crew members were very pleasant, professional, and efficient. The flight was relatively smooth and quick. Boarding and unloading went relatively quickly. Flight embarked about on time and arrived early.
There was absolutely no advance information regarding the additional cost for both checked and carry-on luggage. Apparently, the cost for checked and carry-on luggage varies from flight to flight, since what we were charged, $30 per bag checked and $40 per bag carry-on, differs from costs I see in other reviews. Additionally, we were not advised at any time prior to the flight that everything, including water, had to be paid for and only by credit or debit card. The seats were extremely small and there was no leg room whatsoever. If the flight had been much longer, we would have been in quite a bit of pain because we both suffer from a significant amount of arthritis. We were not offered a pillow...not even sure there were any pillows.
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.
If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us, please send us an
