Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."

I had to keep adjusting my body because my lower back was in so much pain. I ordered a kosher meal for both my sister and I but they only bought it for her. When I asked where was mine they said they didn’t see my name when I was the one who bought the tickets. It was extremely frustrating. I will never fly on this airline again."

But no checkin counters were open. The first check-ins began 3 hours prior to take off. By that time the line was backed all the way out into the main corridor. It would be MUCH better for ANA and the customer to begin the checkin process 3.5 to 4hours prior instead of 3."

The turbulence announcement was made once in english and japanese by the auto-plane service followed by the crew announcing it again in both English and Japanese. The same was done with the duty free. The plane pressure also felt very strong and cause discomfort for the wife. The movie selection was solid (but badly organized) and the TV show selection wasn't terrible. It should all be better. Come on ANA! Contact me for recommendations."

Then no overhead space avail when I did get on and I was in bulkhead seat. I got my seat back.. But it was annoying, unnecessary, and uncalled for. And the woman who did it did not apologize."

Pros: "On an overnight long-haul the thing I hope for most is sleep. The crew rapidly started beverage service after takeoff. Dinner was cleared and lights turned down about 1.5 hours later, including three opportunities for beverages. Lights came back up only about an hour before landing. Despite that no one seemed rushed. Seconds were offered for coffee, passengers had time to use the restroom before de-planing. We likely had almost 4 hours of our approximately 7.5 hour itinerary to attempt sleep."
Cons: "Having said that, the seats are not made for my over 6 feet tall spouse and myself. More leg room isn't going to help a lot. There's too much room between our necks and heads and the headrest so we end up slumped over even if we recline the seats. Hoping to win the lottery so we can afford first class some day."

Cons: "Cabin temperature was probably 60 degrees. Could understand if we left a 90 degree city. But not on an early morning flight with 70 degree ambient temps when we took off. I’ve been warmer in mid January flights from Chicago."

Cons: "No charging outlets on seat ( this something pretty standard on most planes now). The flight was delayed because of the plane had a problem with the tire. The passenger next to me had a broken tray with tape around it. The bathroom had a broken sink."

Cons: "After flying 24 hours one of four bags got put on a later flight. The line at baggage service was so long that by the time I waited for the bag it arrived on another flight 2 hours of wait! Unbelievable! Disappointing. And by the way if a passenger is assigned to a seat that doesn’t recline it should be heavily discounted. Heavily as in half price of a normal seat. It really is sad that airline industry is not more service focused and more efficient."

Pros: "AA canceled our flight on 9/13 and rescheduled us to 9/15 for no apparent reason. There were flights leaving Orlando. When I called to ask why since all I received was a text message the customer service rep was rude. Then I received another text message on 9/13 at 4:30 am saying my flight was canceled and we were rebooked again!!! After calling again I was told if I want to leave on Friday we would have to leave from another airport that was over an hour away which means $225 in transportation to get us there! This is on top of the 2 additional hotel nights we paid for and additional meals. When I asked if we would be compensated for all the additional expenses we were incurring I was told it's weather related so probably not. I informed the rep that flights have been leaving Orlando since Tuesday 9/12 so that cannot be the case. She said to try to contact them online. UNACCEPTABLE. I will not fly AA again and I will not recommend them to family or friends. If I could give zero stars I would but the survey defaults to one star."

Cons: "The crew was abrupt, harsh, spoke down to the passengers, sighed, rolled their eyes, etc. It's their job to serve drinks, and attend to passenger requests and needs. They made it seem like they were being put upon to get a glass of hot water or coffee. If someone asked what type of juice they had, they rolled their eyes and answered rudely. No one smiled and seemed friendly"

Cons: "That my flight was delayed four hours or more and then cancelled so I had to be transferred to a totally different flight in the early hours of the morning and that my luggage was delayed and travelled on a different flight to mine. The entire experience was very discouraging."

Cons: "AA used a ground hold in ICT. Was told connection to Flint would not be a problem. When I got off of plane in Chicago the flight Flint had already pushed back. Could either wait for the next Flint flight that would get in at about midnight and risk not having a rental car or take an earlier flight to Detroit and pay $85 for dropping rental car off at Flint."

Pros: "The new Dreamliner was amazing. However my great experience was also directly a result of the unfilled nature of the plane. This gave so much room to the passengers, food service was fast and plentiful, and crew was in a good mood."

The whole middle section of the plan had static in their headphones so they were unable to watch the movies. The crew was friendly but seemed very confused as if it was their first time working together. Announcements were choppy And confusing. They also asked me to pay 190 dollars extra to sit with my husband. Not the best experience"

Cons: "I didn't like the idea that I've had a four hour delay due to the fact that the airplane and DeRego showed up an hour late. There were no explanations and no apologies. I got to Dallas I was furious complain to customer relations. I at least wanted them to let me in to the admirals club so I could be comfortable for the next four hours. They refuse that but one lady at the customer relations apartment did give me a meal voucher which made me feel a little better."

Cons: "I was trying to check two bags, and I get three free bags. My one bag was my wife's bike in a case and it as 60 pounds and the other was a suitcase that was only 20. They made us take stuff out of the bike case and move it to the suitcase to get it below 50 pounds. Ridiculously nitpicky. It's the same overall weight..."

Pros: "When I arrived in Orlando, Luis Camacho assisted me the entire time and was incredibly helpful. He was able to get me on a flight to Chicago from Orlando without having to get on a bus."

The flight was operated by AA, and they told me I wasn't on the flight, but after many phone calls LATAN assured me I was booked on the flight. When I got to the airport, I was not allowed to board my direct flight from GRU to LAX, instead I was sent to Miami then Charlestown , I took me an extra 12 hours to get home. I lost a day of work. Who's going to reimburse me for that ???"

Cons: "I did not like how we were treated by the United Airline Crew front desk when we were getting our boarding pass, they immediately say that due to myself having a Philippine Passport and A US Green Card holder they needed to check with Japan Immigration and in the end of waiting they said that we can’t board the plane because of my citizenship status and I needed to get a Japan VISA, I felt discriminated for something I do not know about when I purchased the tickets via online it doesn’t even show if there were any requirements needed in order for me to travel to Japan. My overall Review is a big ZERO and Unsatisfactory of how they treat their customers."

Pros: "Everything was quick, organized, and on time. The flight attendant was the best, made sure I had snacks and drinks."

Point is, United doesn’t care about their costumers. I see them going out of business soon. They have terrible costumer service. I missed the holidays with my family and had to buy a new plane ticket on a different airline because they could not reschedule me on time!"

Pros: "Landed safely. The stewardess was very nice and engaging."
Cons: "My plane took off late from Wichita, and missed departure to LA in Denver by five minutes. Despite their being several of us, they didn't hold the plane. It's 7:39 before I'm guaranteed a make up flight because I'm told by customer service that united flies fewer flights during holidays periods despite being the busiest season of the year. United did nothing to make up for the night with family they have taken from me on vacation."

Pros: "The Boeing 787 plane was very nice. The window shading control is unique!"

Pros: "787 is starting to show its age but efficient and comfortable 3 3 3 seating. Reasonable as you can expect crew., do the minimum required."

Cons: "It was kind of hard to sleep on the plane. I ended up propoing up the armrest next to me and leaning my pillow against it, which sort of did the trick. My hips hurt from sitting so long, so maybe there's some kind of cushion technology that can help with that."

Cons: "The plane was freezing cold. I came prepared but had to hunker down under blankets even though I had two shirts and a jacket on. This is not acceptable for any flight or airline. I caught a cold on my return trip due to this. I'm disappointed as it seemed like a newer plane. The stewardess acknowledged this but was unable to get our section to warm up. Everyone in my area of the plane was Ice cold."

Cons: "Bathrooms too small and unsanitary. Sick people on board spreading germs. Headphones fall out of kids ears. Airplane too cold. Food not good. Bread is terrible. Wasteful packaging and serving of food. Nowhere to throw away trash. Bad timing and content of meals based on final destination."

Cons: "EVERYTHING. My flight was originally scheduled for 650p. I understand that weather can cause delays. That's OK. However, the flight departure kept getting shifted. We ended up boarding for a 9:58p departure. I was told there was no more overhead space for my bag and forced to check it. When I got on the plane at 930p, there was clearly enough overhead room for my bag. I'm not sure why I was forced to check it. We then sat from 930p to 958p. We pulled away from the gate and then were told that we had to wait another 20 min. We turned off the engine and then waited until sometime between 1130-45 ON THE AIRPLANE on the runway. Is this even legal?? We finally took off and landed at 115a PST. I waited for 35 min for my bag that they forced me to check. They loaded our bags onto the wrong carousel, which caused all of us to be waiting for our bags in the wrong place for 10 minutes. This was the worst experience I've ever had flying. It wasn't the delay but the lack of clarity, being forced to sit on that plane for hours, and having my bag taken. I got to the airport in Denver at 550p PST and got home to SF at 3a PST for a 2 hour flight."

Pros: "The captain continually updated is as we were waiting for a gate to enter."
Cons: "The wait in SFO was long. The plane was warm without air circulation. My connecting flight was not held for me and actually departed 10 minutes early. I had to wait 4 hours for the next flight at which I was told they would seat me at the end of boarding. I was never seated and after repeatedly asking was told they would get me on the next flight. Poor customer service."

Cons: "My experience would be fine except when I went through security and they checked my luggage, they opened my suitcase in front of everyone and riffled through my clothes out in the open. I don't care that they needed to go through my bag, I care that there was no concern for privacy."

Cons: "I selected my seats day I purchase. I didn't get the seats I had selected. I prechek in online. I ended up the very back in a single row against the toilet which made me throw up 3 times. I don't get sick on flights. But the smell was so bad!,"

Cons: "Flight attendant, LaToya, was the rudest I've ever encountered on United. Didn't greet anyone, basically slammed drinks down on the tray tables, didn't say goodbye to us when departing, and was overall very unpleasant. Could tell she didn't want to be there."

Cons: "It has always seem really counterproductive to load the front of the plane first. All five of us said the same thing. Really dumb, so what....... if we were to have paid more money for first class. It would be faster. No need to wait for someone to get their bag in the overhead for so long."

Pros: "The crew members were very nice."
Cons: "I did not like that there was no individual TV entertainment and that I had to download the United app in order to stream on my phone. Also, the food was not good. I feel that there should have been two meals but the second meal was a cold sandwich that had thick dry bread but meager portions of filling so that it was mostly bread."

Cons: "Ac didn't work on ground. Not tall enough."

Pros: "The crew kept us up to date on the ATC delay."
Cons: "Weather in the DEN area and Eastern Colorado generated a ground stop in DEN delaying our departure from ICT for about 2 hours. Even with the overall delay in DEN my SMF flight was long gone putting me on a late flight into SMF. This of course lead to a short night's rest...just another day of travel on the airlines."

Pros: "It's always worth the extra money to fly United! I love this airline."

Cons: "Too warm in flight. Did not run Ac enough."

Cons: "All flights should have free wifi and power hookups. Greyhound does this, why shouldn't united."

Cons: "Arrived SIX hours late, did have luggage which was nice."

Pros: "Everyone at the Wichita airport were very friendly - especially the TSA personnel. Everything moved quickly and efficiently. Plus the airport itself is so beautiful and easy to get around in. Took us less than 30 minutes from parking in shuttle parking lot to going through security to getting to our gate!"

Cons: "Our flight was delayed. I was traveling with a baby and there was no gate agent anywhere to be found to help us get re-routed after the delay caused us to miss our connection. Terrible experience with United."
