Cons: "Multiple delays mean we deplaned nearly 3 hours late in Chicago. The plane was late inbound, had a minor mechanical issue, and on top of that we were at a remote gate so they had to bus everyone to plane. After all that, we sat on the tarmac even longer because of “traffic”. Our takeoff clearance had expired and we were behind a bunch of planes. After landing in Chicago, we waited an additional 30 minutes because our gate was occupied."

Cons: "It was the first of three flights. I was automatically rebooked on a flight that didn’t allow nearly enough time to make my connection. United didn’t want to help because only one of the flights was really theirs. Same with Swiss Air. It was a terrible beginning to my trip. I lost money on shuttle fair since I never went to Minneapolis, too."

Cons: "It began going downhill at the United Lounge, where I put two chairs together to get a little sleep since my flight was scheduled to leave at 12:30am. I was summarily woken up and told that it wasn't appropriate to sleep in a lounge. I complained at the front-desk (politely) and was told ... "This is a lounge". Oh and yes, the Wifi wouldn't connect and the food was stale ... so I left, and found a very nice sofa in the concourse. On the flight, service was non-existent, whoever was in the galley was clattering things about, despite the fact that this is a short red-eye flight ... the coffee was awful. The steward forgot to give me my coat and I had to ask twice AFTER we landed and were leaving the plane to get it. By contrast, Lufthansa has daybeds and a special quiet area to snooze, and offer pillows and blankets. Clearly, the Germans are louche compared to Americans."

Pros: "economy is so cramped! It really should not be legal. Any flight at 5:30 AM should give people more than a cookie. All airport food shops are closed at that hour."
Cons: "Why is every connecting flight in Denver located in a different terminal and at the farthest gate? It's always a sprint to make the flight. I got singled out for a complete pat down. I was wearing light summer clothing. I'm 65 years old. It makes no sense. Those machines need recalibrsting."

Cons: "Check in kiosk couldn't scan phone was glad to unload my carry-on and check it for free. Should be encouraged to check 1 bag for free from start for smaller bags. Flight attendant was crabby when I tried to squeeze past into my seat. She kind of apologized by being nicer to me after that. They kind of yelled at passengers to take their seats to take off. I liked United. Too bad about the incident I read about. I was on a flight with no available seats to LA and thought someone had taken my seat. Turns out I was reading it wirong on my phone abd the last seat available was actually mine."

Cons: "No space for even one carryon and I was told that the luggage space is not associated with my seat. People have more than 2 can bring them on board yet I have to check in and my valuable items were inside"

Cons: "No USB charge connectors/power outlets (integral these days on a long international flight). The quality of in seat tv screen is mediocre - best to watch on your own device (but then you need the USB connection that is missing on this flight). The wifi kept on dropping in the plane (both ways). The food is not as good as served on other airlines and they ran out of dishes both ways and we did not have choices and had to eat what was available (which was not good either). Should indicate on seat selection when making purchase if there will be items below seat such as metal boxes that will limit legroom more than for other seats. I was placed at such a seat both ways, and had no legroom for over 8 hrs each way. :/"

Pros: "Seats and plane interior were updated and surprisingly comfortable. Update made plane feel new, clean, and made more ergonomic sense. Crew was good and helpful."
Cons: "Confusing entertainment system that seemed to require a credit card even for free content. Boarding process overly confusing; used boarding group method usually used for general seating flights even though we had assigned seats. They could have filled up the back of the plane first boarding by row numbers, for example. Boarding group signs caused confusion for everyone; they were angled to the right, but had small arrows pointing to the left where we were supposed to line up, all passengers were asking other passengers for help as to where they were supposed to be. Very long boarding wait added to confusion."

Cons: "Code share between United and Air Canada, operated by Mesa. Many troubles finding the correct website. Confirmation number changed once. Terminal changed twice while we were at IAH. 1 hour late taking off, 45 minutes late landing. Missed connection in Toronto. Bags showed up in Toronto 2 hours after landing."
