Pros: "The flight started with a visit in the recently renovated KLM crown lounge in Amsterdam airport. I liked the various seating options and of course the upstairs bar. The service on board was attentive and efficient, the food options I really liked (especially the Chinese dish) but also the little touches like the nuts & gouda cheese which were served in small porcelain bowls. The seat itself was very comfortable when sitting and the structure gives a lot of privacy. However for couples or friends travelling it's a bit cumbersome to have a conversation even when sitting in seats next to each other. Overall my expectations were fulfilled."

On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Attendant on plane totally unhelpful and could have rearranged a few bags to make room but preferred to stay in back of plane and talk. To be fair, rest of flight was pleasant although late due in part to boarding issues."

Cons: "Business class, Boeing 767-300 The seating configuration was 1/2/1 I would give these seats on a scale from 1 to 10 a 5, this was a very basic B/C seat, without a TV screen integrated to the seat in front of you, instead the flight crew hand out individual passenger entertainment systems, that are a pain to deal with and get in the way of everything your trying to do (ie eat, work, sleep.) I’m only 5’9 and I found when the seat was in the bed mode, the seat slopped down very slightly, and your feet would end up underneath the side table to the row of seats in front of you. As i wear a size 13 shoe, i found that space to be rather cramped especially for my feet."

Cons: "On Monday, September 3, I traveled from Frankfurt to Washington Dulles on United 933 (this return trip to the US began in Rome on Lufthansa earlier in the afternoon). The plane left on time and we touched down at Dulles on time (a little before 8pm EDT), after flying 8 hours. It was 2am Central Europe time. Experience with customs / passport control at Dulles was the worst I've ever experienced, in any country. In my life I’ve traveled to 40 countries (lived in 7) and flown many different carriers. I stood in line 2 (TWO) hours before finally seeing passport control and quickly getting cleared through. There were no announcements of any kind as we waited, and the airport acted as if it were routine and expected that all these people, some with small children be put through this ordeal. There were about 4 or 5 men or women manning the passport control booths, though capacity for maybe 20 more. Some people while in line downloaded the Mobile Passport and were able to then bypass the line. I had technical problems with my phone and could not. Again, NO communication was made by airport personnel or United; we were on our own. Because of this unexpected delay, I had to catch a taxi to my home in Arlington for a fee of $55. I had planned to catch less expensive transport but was already late for a planned event."

The representative was confident that 40 minutes between my flights at Delhi was enough time to make it despite me reminding her about the time it took to get off the plane, pick up my luggage, get through immigrations and travel to my terminal. She was very wrong. She insisted I call them when I land and that I go to the ticket booth. Little did she know that once I miss my flight my ticket is no longer valid and I was no longer able to enter the airport in India. Once I reached the entrance I was directed to a Untied booth all the way at the end of the terminal and was told to buy a new ticket. There was no United representative at this booth. I waited 3 hours and even called the number posted at the booth. No one picked up and no one came. I had wasted several hours. I ultimately decided to buy a ticket online spending another thousand dollars to get back home when I was told that I would be given a new ticket at the booth by United. But I had to wait another 24 hours outside the airport because I was not allowed in so early prior to my flight. Very unprofessional and unhelpful when I needed it the most."

Cons: "2 hour delay after almost 3 hour layover"

Cons: "Paying for entertainment"

Cons: "The plane was not at the airport on time and when it caused us to miss the flight they blamed the weather instead of the plane not being at the airport on time. They were rude and refused to give hotel vouchers."

Cons: "Overhead light did not work properly."

Cons: "Thought we were going to have to spend the night on New Jersey. Because of it. No apologies or compensation. As a result, we didn't get home until almost 3:00 A.M."

Pros: "I was able to board on time. Service in-flight was ok."
Cons: "I wasn't able to check-in at the self-serve kiosk. Customer service took a long time and helped two people that got in the inexistent line after me first. During the flight my seat was broken, wouldn't recline. I don't like I can't turn off the screen if I want to, rather I have to put up with that undesired content someone else manages."

Cons: "Nothing"

Cons: "Flight was 4 hours late. The seat was so small, I could not open the tablet (folding tablet in armrest). I am 6" tall and medium built. That tablet can only fit a kid"

Cons: "The Audio Visual was inoperative!!"

Pros: "-Avoided the foul toilet -No overbooked passenger was clubbed into submission & dragged off.. although the threat hung in the air..."

Pros: "I like that the seats were more comfortable and had at least some padding."
Cons: "The gate had no comfortable seats and looked like a minimalists ' lounge. The gate agent did not actively give any updates to the boarding process."

Pros: "There was room for my carry on on both flights."
Cons: "The bathroom on the plane smelled of urine. The only snack offered on both flights was a stroopwaffle. Seat didn't relive at all."

Cons: "Departure was delayed. No explanation. The boarding area is crowded and confusing. The plane's bins were too small for roller boards so passengers had to carry bags outdoors in snow and terrible wind, to get them loaded. The Newark airport where the plane landed was miserable! Departure from Newark was worse than landing if that could be possible! Awful!"

Pros: "Not a thing."
Cons: "Ended up missing our connector flight into Boise. They gave us a food voucher and a hotel room. Very pissed off! Made me miss a full day of work on Monday the 23rd."

Cons: "Upon approach we were suddenly deverted to Seattle. I had a few issues. Number one you could not hear the pilot so that made it worse. The lack of communication was horrible. I have been on flights when there has been clarity given a change in plans but this was bad. We sat at the gate for an hour and a half, again no real communication, the fligh attendant t hope was joking when he said there was a half a bottle left for the whole plane...much later we were served water. Announcements were made but no clarity. We were told to collect baggage at number 2. Get a voucher for a hotel. After deplann9ng about 25 of us stood in line at the customer service desk where there were two staff working slowly. Then after an hour they announced we were in the wrong place, couldn't that have been explained earlier? Once we made our way out of the terminal to the ticket count the line was all the way down the hall. still with little info we waited. We landed at the alternate airport at 945, at 130am I had my vouchers, the food not useful until the following day, the hotels were full, no one picked up the phone for the shuttle bus to the hotels. I finally elected to sleep at the airport on a bench. We had actually all been reassigned a flight on our same plane. So I am not sure why we had to wait in line all that time. Our bags were not removed from the plane an irritated baggage claim attendant told me. It was a mess. The flight the next morning was fine, short, without problems for me. united needs to work on its communications. It would have been helpful to have someone out side running the line giving out info. And at customer service they should have been paying attention to their line. Would have been helpful."

Pros: "They boarded us knowing there was a mechanical issue so we satin the plane for two hours before moving. They also did not have the courtesy to inform us what was happening. DO NOT FLY UNITED AIRLINES."
Cons: "After leaving two hours late and having them force us to sit on the plane rather than in the airpoet, they did not offer a free snack or drink or even apologize. Then when we landed we sat on the runway for another full hour and the pilots didn't come on EVEN ONCE to tell us what we were waiting for. We are human beings, not cattle, and we paid good money for this service; yet we are treated like less than human and simply fleshy cargo. DO NOT FLY UNITED AIRLINES."

Cons: "I am handicapped. Boarding agent abused me. Made me walk to plane on tarmac in stocking feet. Asked for wheel chair and was denied. Have congestive heart failure and could hardly make it on the plane. The man should be fired. Deputy sheriff with him was just as bad glad to go into more detail with someone. Will report united to govt. small Airport would not ever be reorder."

Cons: "My flight was cancelled they never told me , and after I explained to them I bought this ticket two hours ago because my grandmother and uncle were dying and I needed to get there, they lied to me told me I would be on a different flight and still get there at the same time. Well my flight was not the same time it was three hours different and if I made it there like they promised the first time I would have been able to kiss my grandma one last time. She died a hour before I got there. And now I'm fighting with them for a refund."

I don't mind paying upfront when purchasing tickets but having my wife look at me while I'm about to purchase WiFi for the trip made me uneasy. Thanks"

Cons: "After booking my flight two months prior and checking in 12 hours earlier, I was not allowed to board the plane because United had overbooked. Thus forcing me to fly to Charlotte then Newark at a 5 hour delay. There was also no drink for those in my row during a two hour flight from Charlotte to Newark."

Cons: "Delays, had to stay overnight in Chicago since we arrived 6 hours late"

Pros: "That I finally got home although it was 4 in the morning!"
Cons: "Delays started early in the afternoon and continued for several hours. At one point the flight was cancelled. About 30 minutes later another flight was created with a 1-3 am flight. We should have been given an option to fly this late or rebook for free. It was too late to travel at this point."

Cons: "Both flights were delayed by 20 mins which made it hard for the connecting flights"

Cons: "It was delayed 2 hours with no explanation. The airport workers weren't even informed. So we had to sit in the airport until 1 am. Not fun with 3 kids and no food options available."

Pros: "It was a direct flight."
Cons: "no food unless you bought it no wifi or entertainment at all unless you bought it, or had the united app on your device (which, you can't download on plane). overhead compartments smaller than usual, as was under seat area"

Pros: "The staff was helpful and friendly and boarding was fast"
Cons: "There was gooey stuff in the cracks of the inside paneling near the seams where something had seeped in, but overall, not bad. There was no entertainment other than their magazine provided, so that is not applicable."
