Gate people awful, boarding 20 late and a mess. 1 st class crew nightmare sat on runway they didn't even offer us ice
The gate agent (when I got off my flight from Lexington to Charlotte) had dismissed the person who was supposed to wheelchair me to the next gate I waited 10 minutes for her to call for another wheelchair assistant After 25 minutes of saving I ask her to call again as no one had shown up She was too busy talking to a friend and then left and went up to check on the next flight while I sat there I personally flag down three people asking for assistance Finally one of them told me that a person with a clipboard type device would be the one to help me I explained I had had nothing to eat in Lexington my way there because the restaurant closed due to some kind of flooding or other plumbing problem before my order could be brought to me I saw a person with a clip for type of device is actually help me get to the restaurant where I waited in line to get a table This person stayed with me as long as she could before she was called to assist another customer I was able to get something to eat then had to walk to my fly and barely made it onto the flight I have never been treated so poorly as I was in this situation I have a new knee and was in a lot of pain and was hungry I would like someone from American to contact me and indicate what Itgey will do id to compensate me for my time, trouble, and inconvenience as well as pain in his poor treatment of a customer
We were delayed in Charlotte for almost 2 hours because American Airlines didn't have flight attendants for our flight.
Delayed for 2.5 hours, ending up awitching planes. As we left Charlotte at 0035, no services were offered. It was not a full flight.
Cons: "Enforcement of federal rules requiring children two and over too wear a mask. Flight attendant did not believe it was her responsibility to ask the age of the child sitting next to us, sneezing and coughing."
Pros: "Quick flight time even though we left late."
Cons: "Needed larger plane. The passengers were smashed together in small seats."

Cons: "They could have delivered on the most important aspect on-time arrival. I know that a mechanical issue delays such as tires however ongoing maintenance should prevent these delays. Your failure to deliver on your promise impacted my ability to deliver on mine."

Cons: "There was not enough fuel to make the connection in Charlotte as well as mechanical issues with getting the luggage off the plane resulting in being stuck over night. Also they lost my bag."

Cons: "They boarded the plane for the ‘on-time departure’ scam, then proceeded to do maintenance for 30 minutes, then when you think your on your way we wait another 15 minutes for takeoff. We spent more time sitting still than we did in motion. Horrible."

Cons: "I hate American airlines. It is the WORST. We were held for almost 4 hours waiting for "maintenance call" then flight was cancelled. THEN it took two full hours to get back checked bags. By ths point it was 5 pm, had been at airport since 8:30 -- no food offered, no apologies, not even a glass of water. Of course, no flights back to US so I was stuck an extra day, completely messed up school and work. I THOUGHT I was booking with Iberia but it was a code share. I WILL NEVER fly American Airlines again!"

Cons: "I had a connecting flight in DFW to BOS. My plane left late from OKC, giving very little time to get to my connecting flight in DFW. The flight arrived in BOS and I got to the gate at 6:15pm; with a flight departure of 6:25pm. I felt the gate agent handled the situation very poorly. Instead of letting me, and another passenger with the same situation as mine, let us know why the gate was closed 10 minutes prior to departure was rude and brusque and said sorry, nothing could be done. A simple explanation of why we couldn't board would have gone a long way. She finally barked out for us to go to Customer Service to re-route us. Customer Service was very slow and the agents had attitudes. I did get on an AA flight the next morning, including comp vouchers for dinner and breakfast, but I missed an entire day of the conference I was attending in Boston."

Cons: "Our plane was very old and there were engine problems that kept us grounded for hours at JFK. I was terrified the entire time we were in the air that something might go wrong. Additionally, the air conditioner worked very poorly."

Pros: "Very pleasant employees at the Hattiesburg/Laurel airport. We were thanked for our patience even though it wasn't directly their fault for the call-out."
Cons: "They kept delaying the flight in Hattiesburg because of someone who called out earlier in the day. My family had to take off of work early to take me to the airport and it was difficult to know how late they could work due to the flight delays."
Pros: "Flight from CLT to CDG was excellent surprising amount of room in economy, modern plane with usb power and good IFE. Service was excellent but plane was only half full."
Cons: "Flight from CDG to ORD was awful. Dated 767 that American Airlines should be embarrassed by. No Wifi, IFE was a few screens suspended from above, overhead compartments couldn't fit standard size roller board bag, which makes no sense."
Cons: "Missed connecting flight because they left late out of our origin location. We were only 2 min late but they closed the door eventhough they knew the previous flight had landed and we were on our way to the flight."

Pros: "I fly this route with American pretty often. The cabin crew was good. Everything else seemed sub par."
Cons: "Our take off was delayed, officially due to fueling the plane, but if the plane wasn't fueled ahead of time, someone failed to do their job properly. Also, while I'm starting to think that A320s just suck mechanically for landing (they always seem to land harder than a 737), this one seemed a little extra rough."

Cons: "There was no tvs- extremely old plane. Which makes for a very long 9hr flight. No wifi and no outlets to charge devices. Had to go to back of plane and ask for water and come- staff didn't come round regularly enough offering beverages."

Cons: "American canceled my original itinerary on direct flight to Los Angeles and put me on a flight to Dallas, Dallas to LA, and charged me for the change. After 8 hour delay at airport (boarding plane, on the runway) they turned us around and flight was delayed to the next day. I luckily got a direct on United and will avoid American at all costs."
