Specifically, was were traveling with guitars and they gave us no hesitation to board early in order to Stowe our instruments safely. They were very pleasant during serving and with requests. Cons: "I purchased a round trip ticket from Costa Rica to Panama in order to comply with laws stating non-resident aliens must leave Costa Rica every 90 days for a period of at least three days. When it came time to return to Costa Rica, I understood that I had not purchased ANOTHER ticket to "prove" my intent to leave Costa Rica again three months in the future. I told the ticket agent I wishes to purchase a "fully refundable" ticket for a future flight, but she was (or professed to be) unable to assure me the ticket she was selling me was refundable. Upon return to Costa Rica, as before, immigration did not ask to see any such proof nor did they even ask my intentions. Isn't this called fraud? I did not need the ticket and, of course, in contacting Copa Airlines, I would have to return to Panama in order to even get a partial refund, which they won't guarantee. Not doing this again."

Es un aeropuerto del siglo pasado que ya es hora COPA que tiene su centro de operaciones pongan de su parte para hacer más placentero la estadía en ese aeropuerto; aeropuertos como el CR o el de Bogotá no más sale uno del avión y hay excelente wifi que le permite a uno estar en contacto con la familia."

Empty seats should be utilized for social distancing regardless of fare. First class and the back half of the planes were practically empty while everyone was in the center. One of the flight attendants (middle aged Caucasian male) was rude with an overall dismissive demeanor. For example, I requested water and he handed me a cup of warm water while giving everyone else around me a cup of ice with their beverage without being asked."

I watched my wife's screen for a whole movie and then re-asked a different attendant if they would mind restarting my screen. He did, and it loaded."

However, i paid extra to move up and i ended up being squashed, sitting very uncomfortably. The man took up half my seat. The flight attendants knew of the messed up seating but did not correct it. Overall disappointed, they should make sure everyone sat in the right place."

Cons: "After being so delayed on our first flight from San Francisco, I was nervous about getting to our connecting flight in Houston. We were assured by the flight attendant that when a flight is delayed and has connections, they communicate that to the gates and we would be fine. It was the OPPOSITE of fine. We landed with 10 minutes until the flight to Costa Rica left and they let all of us who were connecting deplane first, only to run full speed to a gate who’s plane left 10 minutes EARLY and decided that it was not going to wait for the 12+ passenagers who had no control of the delayed flight. My fiancé and I were flying to our WEDDING. So now I’m sitting here in Houston for a full 24 hours waiting for the next flight to take me to my wedding. The only “accommodation” united airlines gave us was a hotel. No compensation for the night we paid for at our resort in Costa Rica that we are missing, no upgrades to a better class on our new flight and no reassurance on how terrible they feel for this giant and heartbreaking inconvenience. I am furious."

I had to beg the flight attendant to get me a wine because I was asleep when they came by and missed them by not even a half hour... She acted like it was so hard and it took asking 4 times and finally just asking another person. I was so annoyed. They also have shitty food selections per usual. Who chooses those snack items?! They clearly have no taste. I was miserable the whole flight. I usually am not a miserable traveler so this isn't just me being negative, I seriously may write one review every few months, only if something is really good or really bad. The fact that I'm even taking the time to write this says a lot!!!"

Cons: "For boarding at the gate, attendant scanned boarding passes at one terminal and asked passengers to board next to another terminal across the room. Anyone could have walked onto the plane without a boarding pass, which seems to be a security concern. It felt as if I was seated over the rear wheels of the plane. During taxi and takeoff, there was an irregular bump that made a noise and vibrated the plane every second or so, and sped up as the plane sped up. I was concerned that something was the matter with the tire or wheel."

Pros: "I liked getting a snack and drink. I guess all planes are crowded. I didn't have any carrying luggage so I didn't have to worry about overhead storage- which would have been a problem."

Cons: "The flight was 2.5 hours late and during this time the crew instructed us to leave our seatbelts on and remain seated. The crew "didn't know" when were going to leave. No snacks were passed out during this flight or during the time we had to wait. The crew was hiding in the back of the plane giggling and gossiping about people which I found to be very rude. I could hear their whole conversation making my trip a terrible experience."

Cons: "I wanted to get on the earlier flight so after checking in I proceeded to the gate to speak with the gate agent about getting on the earlier 11:55 flight. She was no where to be found. Other members of my party that I had traveled with appeared and said they got on the earlier flight because they were looking for people to switch and offering it down stairs where you initially checked in. No body had offered it to me which infuriates me because now I could not go back downstairs through security. I was stuck upstairs waiting for someone in charge to appear. The gate agent arrived 1 minutes before the flight was supposed to board. She told me that it was too late to switch flights and that it should have been done down stairs when I initially checked in. She said they were looking for people which really irked me because no one had offered it to me. She then told me that she gave me the wrong bag tag and switched it out for the correct one. The air port was hot, crowded and smelly. The plane ride was over all okay. We did not start boarding on time (my tickecg said boarding would begin at 12 and we didn't start until about 12:45) and we left a few minutes late. Other than that I was grateful there was a TV on the plane"

Pros: "The price for the flights was great."
Cons: "The airplane was cramped, legroom nonexistent (and I'm small and skinny). The plane was delayed and hot. The ride was bumpy. The crew was slow. I thought United was a premier carrier. I've had better experiences with Frontier and Spirit recently."

Cons: "I am only 5 ft tall & petite but felt like a sardine with my knees hitting the seat in front. The overhead bins were so small that they couldn't fit carry ons efficiently so everyone was scrambling for space, delaying the boarding process & heightening frustration & stress. Boarding process was also inefficient causing delays."

Pros: "The crew was great and the food was passable"
Cons: "The 4 hour delay due to technical difficulties is completely unacceptable and I need to talk to someone about it."

Cons: "Three hour Houston delay; I accepted a change in scheduled flights with less delays and $300 compensation, but the offer was withdrawn without explanation. And had to switch seats in the first leg to redistribute weight."

Cons: "My flight was delayed and the crew and the company had different versions of the situation, plus if you sum all the extras you need to pay I'm no longer sure if the flight is still cheap."

Cons: "Todavía estoy en Fort Lauderdale no pudimos cojer el vuelo por un imprevisto en la carretera y a pesar de que llegamos 40 minutos antes el personal nos atendio demasiado mal no nos quisieron solucionar de ninguna forma es la primera vez q utilizamos esta aerolinia y su personal no sabe nada de servicio al cliente ni mucho menos de humanidad todavía estamos aquí en FLL viendo cómo solucionamos por nuestros medios pasa una vez dos no y más q pensábamos seguirlos utilizando y recomendarlos pero veo q lo q les interesa en asegurarse el dinero en sus cuantas y NO el bienestar de sus clientes"

Cons: "They didn't have a 1st officer present and could not get a hold of him. Instead of telling all the passengers, they decided to let us board and made us wait forever before they finally told us we didn't have a 1st officer. After all this they told us to get off the plane and they would let us know when to board again. Finally after the flight had been delayed almost 2 hours, the 1st officer arrived, we boarded and were on our way."

Cons: "The lauggage I checked in arrived in San Jose completely demolished. I can't even carry it anymore. There is a big whole in my bag pack, so my close are hanging out and the shoulder strap is ripped of completely."

If you get off the plane with out needing to see a chiropractor, Spirit hasn't done their job."

The crew gladly gave me some water for medicine and said it was something everyone is suppose to do if needed to take meds. why didn't the first flight??"
Cons: "We had to pay for the upgrade on a pretty empty flight so that we could be comfortable. We also saw people move to the better seats when the flight got going, and we paid $50 each for them and they took them for free."

Pros: "Friendly staff to makeup for the unprofessional services of the airline two and a half hour wait to checkin."
Cons: "What a waist the plane was full and we all had to get off the plane with all of our items..I tried to print my boarding pass on line but their system crashed and was not up to finish on line."

Cons: "Once they have your money the staff doesn't care. Lack of communication and over priced for the "quality""

Cons: "Not only do you have to pay extra to sit next to your traveling companion but I was also forced to pay an additional 40 bucks in order to leave San Jose CR. All other airlines include these taxes/fees in their ticket prices. Please factor in an additional 100 bucks for any Spirit prices once additional taxes and landing fees, baggage fees, seat costs, etc. also remember they wont even give you a free soda or 1 peanut on the flight."

Cons: "I have flown spirit a few times and each time all the staff from ground to stewards... are unfriendly, unhelpful, sour people. i believe it's because of your management style. I fly southwest and delta often and their staff is happy, helpful, delighted to be of service. while your fares are low, it's only 100$ more to fly better. and you coverup charges like departure taxes that are included with other fares in other airlines, so, hence, the fees, add up so quickly, it's become easier and more cost effective --even-- for the budget travelor to fly other airlines. we need friendly people in airlines. folks who love their jobs and treat each other respect. you can do a whole lot better Spirit airlines. really. everyone is becoming disgusted with your service."

Cons: "After an hour and a half on the plane, passengers were offered a glass of water and a small cookie. After the flight was cancelled, we waited in line for up to 3 hours for re-booking. No effort was made to make passengers feel comfortable, and communication of options/process was minimal, leading to a lot of confusion."

Cons: "Arrived at the airport three hours early and still only just made the flight. When we arrived the lines were out of the door and we had to stand outside with no shade in 90 degree heat for half an hour until the line finally led us inside. We flew with Spirit two years ago to Mexico and experienced exactly the same issues. We thought this might have been a one off and so gave them another try this year. Never again. There are never enough agents at the desk and $50.00 per bag is ridiculous. For three of us, $300.00, OUTRAGOUS! I looked for lines at other airline desks and there were none. Don't be pulled in by the prospect of a cheaper flight. By the time you have taken into consideration all the extra charges for luggage, checking in online and selecting your seats, one of the most expensive carriers in the airline business. Seats don't recline and no padding!"

Cons: "On top of the general and unavoidable things that make spirit awful like the ridiculous prices you end up paying with all its extra fees, for a very poor experience, the planes are rarely on time. Mine was an hour and a half late, luckily this was a small delay compared to my last experience with Spirit. I don't know why I booked with them again but I won't be making that mistake anymore."

Cons: "This was a terrible flight experience with awful customer service. I was scheduled for flight 498, Houston to San Jose. This flight was cancelled after sitting around for 3 hours due to a flight attendant not showing up. This was deemed as uncontrollable, which I have no idea how your staff members mishap is not controllable. We then had to drive 4 hours North to Dallas to catch flight 972 at 6 AM, which was also delayed. We had to go to Dallas because there was no other Houston flight until Saturday night. Once in Ft. Lauderdale, we boarded and de-boarded our flight, due to a pilots flight hours being over the limit. This is deemed controllable. I don't understand how two similar situations are deemed controllable and un-controllable. I lost money on hotels, time, taxi's, and gas. Spirit owes everyone of this flight a voucher for the future."

Pros: "The best part of this flight is that the boarding agent switched my seat at the last minute. I had been talking with a gentleman inline and we were getting along fabulously. When it came time to board, I told him it was nice talking but we were on opposite sides of the plane. The woman taking our tickets said "Let me fix that". I usually fly a different airline and prefer that other airline in every other way, but THIS was the best case of customer service I have ever received from any airline personnel."
Cons: "By the time we landed, my back was sore. Really uncomfortable seats. This is Spirit so I expected that there would not be any free water or snacks, yet that is still disappointing."
