After an hour, we found ours and made our way towards what used to be rental car check in. Found there was now a shuttle bus system to get to rental counters, but waited in line outside with our three bags for 30+ minutes just to get on the shuttle. After a 15-minute ride, we finally arrived at the old rental check in/garage area. Bottom line, it took over two hours from arrival to finally being able to leave the airport."

Most of us had already gotten off the plane to use the restrooms and get food. Then because the caterers took to long they cancelled the food order and told us they were having fingers out food vouchers. It was annoying g cause we had already gone and gotten food and spent our own money. Now everyone booked it off the plan to get food and we now waited another hour for people to come back. So altogether the plane was delayed 4 hours they could have just given us the food on the plane for free."

They gave me a $12 voucher for food but my dinner (only dinning in the terminal) cost me $20. Was forced to take an additional day of leave & had to make arrangements for my pets. Was only given (3) $600 vouchers for my 3 tickets."

Cons: "Upon deplaning in Cancun, ALL passengers are put on a bus and driven far away from the terminals to an arrivals area. Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare--and God help you if you don't have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection...and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare."

That same plane, upon taking off back to DTW blew a tire upon take-off, had to do an emergency landing and everyone had to spend the night in NOLA after being delayed all day."

Also I would imagine that during Covid-19 these companies would do a better job of not overbooking flights but all of my flights with American this past weekend were overbooked. Which delayed us even longer as they searched for volunteers to adjust their flights. In today's age of technology the idea that they are still overbooking planes makes no sense to me in the slightest. I will be walking, driving or taking a boat before I fly American Airlines again."

By the grace of God we were able to cram two checked bags worth of stuff into our carry ons which I still do not know how we did that, and were fine. On the flight we had a decently nice lady and a horrible male. When passing out drinks he seemed almost irritated that we had asked for water and rudely gave it to us which was room temperature. He totally skipped the lady in the row with us and got irritated when she asked for a water as well."

Cons: "The child behind me kicking me"

Pros: "UAL gate agents were nice."
Cons: "TSA precheck still funnels in with non-precheck passengers and I had to take out my laptop even with precheck. Not efficient."

Cons: "I was forced to check my carry on because others were allowed to bring several carry one bags I counted 18 passengers that were allowed to bring 3 carry one bags & a personal item to store under the seat so if you are in the 3rd, 4th or 5tn boarding group there isn't any overhead storage available I paid to check check my other luggage so I would follow the rules others should be made to do the same I worried all the way to New Orleans that my carry would be lost"

Pros: "couldn't access wifi. crowded cabin. passengers being loud/obtrusive. long delay for takeoff."

Cons: "I paid extra money for a better seat and it was crowded and uncomfortable. When I walked back there were plenty of more comfortable seats empty!!! I wasted $80!!!"

Cons: "Small plane, seated in very back row, unable to tilt seats back. no food no service."

Cons: "I had to be in New Orleans at 12:00am so I could arrive home for an important interview on Monday morning.. My trip was cancelled and I had no knowledge of this until my arrival to the airport.. I had to pay an additional 75.00 to go back to Racine then another 75.00 to head back the next morning. When i arrived to New Orleans I was charged an additional 30.00 dollars for parking!"
