Cons: "Our original flight was cancelled with no explanation. My girlfriend was notified of this and I was not. When I called to get my flight details I was informed that I was to fly out on a completely different day instead. After explaining that there was no chance of that happening, the call center rep was happy to help. The flight was now an American Airlines flight booked through Alaska. About 3 days before our flight we both received calls from American saying that they did not have our passenger information. Apparently Alaska just didn't transfer that over. We also now had two confirmation codes as the returning and connecting flights were still with Alaska. Once we got to the airport on the day of I was able to print my American Airlines boarding pass, however I could not print my Alaska boarding pass on neither American nor Alaska's kiosks. It was a redeye flight as well so there was no staff at the check in counters yet. We ultimately did get to our destination, but it was such a completely unnecessary headache to get there."

On my iPhone 6 it worked perfectly and i happily enjoyed multiple free movies on my flight. My wife did experience some troubles connecting with her LG 6. Hopefully as you go along you will continue to work to get better support for all phone types."
Cons: "I think mostly it is because the world has become so allergy sensitive that these things must be avoided at all cost, but I'd say my least favorite part about the flight was the inflight "snack" service. I don't know where these biscotts came from, but I miss the old days of peanuts and pretzels. I will commend you that the drink cart came around 2 times during our flight. I think that is great. But the drink cart was definitely missing Dr. Pepper."

Then waited an hour on the tarmac while they “rebalanced the baggage” which turned out to mean “taking 60 bags off the plane and leaving them.” They didn’t ask for volunteers or even tell us until we got to baggage claim and our bags didn’t show. The carryon I was asked to gate check will now be held at least 24 hours. Totally deceitful and unprofessional."

Delta was of very little help in assisting us in making a connecting flight. They could have at least helped with travel arrangements and provided us with a little food, a pillow and a blanket as we waited in their terminal for the next flight on their airline which was a several hour wait. I understand these things happen but the passengers didn't cause the problem and Delta needs to take care of people better if they expect to earn repeat business."

Vyama is blaming us for spelling our name wrong and claimes that it’s our fault this happened because everything is automated. There saying they don’t touch anything that we enter into the booking but somehow everything they claim we entered is now in all capital letters and the space between our first name and middle name is now gone and all run together. The coustomer service number gets you to someone in India. I have tried to get this addressed four times now at first they tried to place the responsibility on the airlines now us and they have hung up on me twice. Kayak has been worthless, they also just pass the responsibility on to someone else. We will never use them again ant I intend to make sure that this mess is put out in social media to hopefully keep others from having their travel plans ruined by their flawed system."

Cons: "LEX to ATL to GRU did NOT happen because the LEX flights were delayed to the point of missing the ATL connection. While Delta re-booked me on United, my flight arrived 3 hours later than scheduled (so transportation plans had to change), my bag did not successfully move from the Delta flight to the United flight (and was thus delayed in getting to GRU) AND once the bag was received, 4 shirts had been stolen. While a delay/theft claim has been filed with United, this could all have been avoided if the Delta flights had been on time."

A short transfer was made even more difficult, and a massive waste if time and fuel sitting and waiting. Figure out your gates early and better, and move around if needed. At the very least, bring up some stairs and buses to get passengers to the terminal and then tow the aircraft in when you have a gate available."

Therefore, I had to spend the entirety of my redeye flights crammed next to someone while I was looking at an almost empty economy plus section. Also, we boarded earlier than expected but we spend an extra hour on the flight waiting to take off. I would not have minded boarding early if we had taken off early, but we took off an hour later."

There was no device to view movies. Leg space too tight."

Crew admitted in latest redesign of planes they've managed to squeeze another six seats in coach. My seat wouldn't go back but even if it did, would feel too guilty for person behind to do it - so little legroom on newer planes. They've also cut down on restrooms so for most of the flight there was a line of 5-6 people waiting in the aisle. American Airlines seems to have older planes but at least decent legroom (and I'm not tall - anybody over 5'10 would have to sit at an angle on new United planes!). Been very impressed by Delta's service lately. United feels more like Spirit"

Finally after the flight had been delayed almost 2 hours, the 1st officer arrived, we boarded and were on our way."

I fly southwest and delta often and their staff is happy, helpful, delighted to be of service. while your fares are low, it's only 100$ more to fly better. and you coverup charges like departure taxes that are included with other fares in other airlines, so, hence, the fees, add up so quickly, it's become easier and more cost effective --even-- for the budget travelor to fly other airlines. we need friendly people in airlines. folks who love their jobs and treat each other respect. you can do a whole lot better Spirit airlines. really. everyone is becoming disgusted with your service."
Cons: "After an hour and a half on the plane, passengers were offered a glass of water and a small cookie. After the flight was cancelled, we waited in line for up to 3 hours for re-booking. No effort was made to make passengers feel comfortable, and communication of options/process was minimal, leading to a lot of confusion."

When we arrived the lines were out of the door and we had to stand outside with no shade in 90 degree heat for half an hour until the line finally led us inside. We flew with Spirit two years ago to Mexico and experienced exactly the same issues. We thought this might have been a one off and so gave them another try this year. Never again. There are never enough agents at the desk and $50.00 per bag is ridiculous. For three of us, $300.00, OUTRAGOUS! I looked for lines at other airline desks and there were none. Don't be pulled in by the prospect of a cheaper flight. By the time you have taken into consideration all the extra charges for luggage, checking in online and selecting your seats, one of the most expensive carriers in the airline business. Seats don't recline and no padding!"
Cons: "On top of the general and unavoidable things that make spirit awful like the ridiculous prices you end up paying with all its extra fees, for a very poor experience, the planes are rarely on time. Mine was an hour and a half late, luckily this was a small delay compared to my last experience with Spirit. I don't know why I booked with them again but I won't be making that mistake anymore."

This flight was cancelled after sitting around for 3 hours due to a flight attendant not showing up. We then had to drive 4 hours North to Dallas to catch flight 972 at 6 AM, which was also delayed. We had to go to Dallas because there was no other Houston flight until Saturday night. Once in Ft. Lauderdale, we boarded and de-boarded our flight, due to a pilots flight hours being over the limit. This is deemed controllable. I don't understand how two similar situations are deemed controllable and un-controllable. I lost money on hotels, time, taxi's, and gas. Spirit owes everyone of this flight a voucher for the future."
Pros: "The best part of this flight is that the boarding agent switched my seat at the last minute. I had been talking with a gentleman inline and we were getting along fabulously. When it came time to board, I told him it was nice talking but we were on opposite sides of the plane. The woman taking our tickets said "Let me fix that". I usually fly a different airline and prefer that other airline in every other way, but THIS was the best case of customer service I have ever received from any airline personnel."
