Kayak booked it in such a way that my schedule was from lagos to Frankfurt to Zurich to toronto without considering the fact that I needed a transit visa which I was not aware of as no one to advise me ahead of time . I ended up paying additional $750 CAD just to change my itinary. This was a very sad experience will never use kayak or recommend to others. My booking number is T28V67. One child had one on tye chair and I asked him if its suppose to be on the seat or given later on. He said it will be passed later and then with a patronizing manner he gave another head phone set and said: "I guess we havw an emergency". On the flight, every time he with the food and drinks he just stood there next to me talking over my head with the passenger begind me. Very uncomfortable, especially when it happens 6 or 7 times. When asking what drink we wanted ( the first time), i replied apple and orange juicewith no ice. He replied, with a patronizing manner "this it European company, not American company. Here we don't put ive if you do not ask for it".The incident that bother me the most is one that involved my kids also. My daughter (3 years old) was a bit scared of the flight, tired and did not want to sit on her chair. We tried to keek her on the chair buy she started crying laying down on the floor infront of our seats. Jorge the flight attendant saw her and told me to put her on the seat. Not in a manner I expect out of soneone in the service industry. I told him we are working on it and we will have her on the chair as soon as we can. When I said that he got irritated and a bit aggressive. For no reason the situation became hostile. The flight attendent on the other side (do not know his name). Can over and asked us what we needed amd if we need help. I told the other flight attendant we need 5 minutes and he said OK. After a few minutes she calmed down. Anotger passenger asked Jorge what beer it is and he replied, with contempt, " its German beer, its good"."

Pros: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Cons: "1.Outdated website information: I have a small travel guitar that fits in the overhead bins and I always take it with me when I travel, with no issues. It counts as my overhead carry-on. I checked the British Airways website prior to leaving the U.S. and it said small instruments were okay. I was able to board from San Jose, USA, with no issues. However, I was told at Heathrow that no stringed instruments were allowed at all, under no circumstances, ever, no matter the size, even Business Class, even First Class, even if other airports were not enforcing the rules. The rules that ARE NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE 2. Poor customer service: Due to the above, at Heathrow airport, I had mixed signals everywhere and had to check-in THREE times, twice to oversize, I was sent back and forth all over the place, finally having to go all the way through the airport to pay to have my item boxed. Most of the folks along the way were extremely unpleasant and rude and acted as if it was the craziest thing in the world that I would have a carry-on travel guitar. TRAVEL guitar, small, not full size, not needing any special treatment. Most of the agents, who knew I was struggling with this, did not help me, for example, I had to wait in line all over again, twice! There was one woman that tried to help me and put me to the front of the line on one occasion and the last agent was helpful as well. I did not get any names, which I should have, because at the end, I FINALLY had those two staff members who helped me (see liked comments). I still had to check my box, but the final agent really went out of her way to make me feel better about the experience because she could see that I was given the runaround. But the folks at Oversize and the pre-Security line, were absolutely horrible and rude. No excuse for it at all. None."

When we explained how difficult it would be to catch another flight to Denver from NY with it being the weekend, and attempting to get a flight to another airport with higher chances of getting us home, their customer service rep informed us that as long as they 'fulfilled their contract' to get us to NY, it wasn't really their problem how we got home (or couldn't get home) after that."

Every other airline I've flown, when they can't process your card, they accept it as their issue and just give you the beverage. BA were quite happy to leave me sitting thirsty without even a water for the two hour flight, with nary a apology for their technical issue. A rather basic plane, without entertainment, nor internet."

When I exited the bathroom after being violently ill, no one was on the plane except the cleaning staff, and no one was keeping an eye on my bags. I found my purse unzipped. Luckily nothing seems to be stolen. I proceeded to vomit and have food poisoning symptoms the next few hours while waiting for my connecting flight to Rome. I vomited through the entire flight to Rome - no one seemed particularly concerned. No one asked if I needed a hospital. British Air would not take a report about the food poisoning onsite. Nothing was done to help me change my flights to avoid flying so sick or make any helpful suggestions whatsoever."

Cons: "We were stuck in the plane for an hour and a half after landing at JFK. On the ground they ran the engines so loudly my husband got a terrible headache. We mentioned the noise problem but were ignored. Once allowed to debark we were crammed into a long cold hall and waited another 1/2 hour before moving towards immigration clearance. To top it off the baggage conveyer system was broken and we waited another 45 minutes before they shut the building down. So we left with no luggage exhausted. One piece of luggage was left back in London. Not pleasant at all. We did get our luggage returned 3 days later. That was good."

New York to Toronto, Toronto to Edmonton and return. Not one single flight was on time! We got put in a Hotel - only nice part of the trip - got Vouchers for $15 each - such a low amount!!! Didn't get our luggage with our clothes and amenities to use at the hotel - had to sleep in our plane clothes. Spend extra money we didn't have... it was awful! We will be staying away from Air Canada for awhile!"

Cons: "They had nothing together. My first flight was delayed so I got in late and my connecting flight was rescheduled for 5 hours later. Their "free meal voucher" for rescheduling amounts to one slice of pizza and no drink. The airport then lost my checked bag and kept me waiting in one room for 4 of those hours to where I was still rushing to catch my next flight. Air Canada then forgot to assign a plane to my new second flight so I waited another 2 hours to board. Once boarded, the airline made us wait another hour while they loaded bags, then unloaded some of the wrong bags thy put on. They then tacked 25 minutes in the wrong direction and we went all the way back. I have never seen so many people rushing the customer service desks because they missed their connecting flights, throughout the entire time I was stuck in Toronto. Additionally, their "in flight movie system" doesn't work unless you rent one of their iPads. It prompts you to download Java Flash player even if you already have it instead of asking to run it. Then once you allow it, you get a 1-2 second animation then the movie breaks. There are similar errors with their music and tv show features, I tried all of these in my laptop and phone."

Cons: "This was an absolutely terrible flying experience. Our flight from Toronto to Vancouver was delayed by almost 5 hours, which meant I missed my connection to Victoria. Almost no information was given about what to expect about our onward travel connections in Vancouver (most people had connections). I was told that not only would AC book me on an alternate flight, but there would be an agent to meet us with information about baggage, hotel stays, etc. There was no such agent. An agent was only available for folks connecting long-haul to Sydney, Australia, but for no other destinations. I tried to call the airline directly to get information, and kept being told "you will have to speak to someone at the airport". No information was given about where my bags where, whether they would be at the airport or about my connecting flight. I was also told that if I chose to stay in a hotel I would need to pay out of pocket and then seek reimbursement. Unwilling to take the risk of not getting reimbursed, I, like many of my fellow travellers, chose to suck it up and sleep on the floor at the airport. They also failed to tell me that I would need a brand new boarding pass, so after waiting 30m to get through security, I then was sent back to wait another 30m to "check in" yet again and get another boarding pass. This was absolutely one of the worst flying experiences I've had recently, and it utterly frustrates me that AC has a near-monopoly on Canadian air travel. I live in Victoria and will likely go back to what I did in the past, which was take sea travel to Seattle and fly from there just to avoid Air Canada."

Cons: "The least comfortable flight I've taken for a long trip. My family complained constantly also, including my daughter that travels for pleasure more than I do. The seats seem impossible to get comfortable in. I'm 6 feet tall and 175 lbs and the seat is too narrow to try to do anything that sit up straight. The angle of the seat to the bottom of the seat in front make it difficult to find a comfortable position. Once I got my legs under the seat in front of me my own seat pad pushed into my thighs limiting the blood flow. The flight attendants on the flight there and the flight back seemed like they hated their job. Never cracked a smile and seemed to be trying to make it through their chores. They ALL seemed unhappy and stressed. The food was the worst we've ever had on any flight, domestic or international. The sandwich for lunch was TERRIBLE. Out of 5 people none of us finished it. We tore most of the puffy odd bread off of it which left the meat which lacked any discernible flavor - making it taste fake. Having visited a couple of 3rd world countries on this flight we felt more at risk of eating bad food on the airline than on the streets of Hanoi. First and last time we'll fly Air Canada."
