However, a reasonable airline would upgrade their customers to first or economy plus to not only appease their customers but to fill some empty seats. Therefore, I had to spend the entirety of my redeye flights crammed next to someone while I was looking at an almost empty economy plus section. Also, we boarded earlier than expected but we spend an extra hour on the flight waiting to take off. I would not have minded boarding early if we had taken off early, but we took off an hour later."

I was not compensated for any of this. My return flight from Fargo to St. Louis was also Delayed. Both from Fargo and from Chicago. I have never experienced such poor scheduling from an airline or as many delays or cancelled flights in just a few day period."

We sat on the ground quite a while while they fixed the PA system with no water then there was a women they'd let on the flight even though she had a different destination - supposedly they spent an hour looking for her bag on the plane. Do you hold up a whole plane load of people that got on the right plane for the woman that didn't and how come when they checked her ticket - no one noticed?"

On a commercial on one flight, during the spiel about safety, the movie screen showed about 5 or 6 cabin attendants putting up their trays in prep for landing. Tey all leaned forward as far as they could to reach their trays. I looked around. I could reach my tray with my arms at my sides. If the actual airplane had had it'w seats spaced apart as in the movie, the plane would have been fully loaded with some 35 passengers. I forgot what airline it was, maybe yours?"

Cons: "Flight was delayed for 40 minutes because of "paperwork" according to the pilot. We boarded the plane on time however had to sit on it during the delay. We were not informed of what was going on until we had already been waiting for 30 minutes. When they informed us of the delay they offered everyone free direct TV in flight to make up for the delay. Once we finally took off they announced that the direct TV was not actually working. The flight attendant making the announcements was not sincere and rather unprofessional. Luckily the pilot flew fast so we ended up arriving only 10 minutes late."

She had an odd way of speaking with strange pauses, she kept calling it Kansas instead of Kansas City, and she made condescending remarks about it."

My neighbor did not check his and took up more than half of my leg room. He was NOT friendly and I was not willing to anger him by complaining. Still not the worst price, but it was very scummy that this wasn't just charged upfront. Seats are uncomfortable, which led to many people getting up despite the seatbelt sign being on."

Cons: "We arrived at DIA 1.5 hrs early only to find frontier lines wrapped around the entire lobby and 100 deep on the curbside check in. We finally got to the baggage counter 4 minutes after the 45 min cutoff and were told that they could not put us on the plane. The cause? SIX check in attendances failed to show up to work in retaliation for Frontier's recent outsourcing of jobs and the fact that their "Discount Den" specials, which have flights out of Denver on Sundays as low as $3.50 were taxing the staff, so they essentially boycotted. All flights back to MCI out of ALL airlines were full so we and our small children had to rent an expensive suburban and drive all night to get to work on Monday after a 12 day vacation. Absolutely the WORST travel experience we have ever had."

She said the plane was still loading and running a bit late, but impossible to get on because I was booked on the 7:30 flight. I will probably not fly Frontier again. 4 hours later and $50 dollars in the hole for food and drink sitting here dreading my middle seat and no room to move for 2 hours. Then, have to pay for a Lyft to get to my car because my cousin was my ride back to her house. I sure do miss the old Frontier."

We sat on the plane 35 minutes while he waited for an out of order decal for the lavatory door. Dumbest flight crew I ever encountered. I'm going back to United."

I spent 25 bucks to upgrade my seat to avoid the nuisances of an everyday flight. I didn't think I'd be stuck next to an animal. How is it acceptable to not disclose that I'd be stuck next to a service dog? I was miserable the entire 2.5 hour flight back to denverz I am extremely irritated."

They were rude when they spoke to us and when I asked for refreshments they turned around as if to get them for me and then the lady sitting next to my husband had to get their attention again to ask a second time if I could have water and Chex Mix so I could take my medicine. I have serious health conditions and I couldn't even get water without paying $3 a bottle. It is disgusting to me that we are charged for flight and then charged for Refreshments during that flight. Any other Airline who charges for a seat to take you to your destination includes at least drinks and nuts for free but not you."
Cons: "Fronteir created new seats that do not recline, are quite thin and small tray tables that don't lock. The consequence is that the man next to me couldn't lean back enough, so slumped onto me most of the flight. A one year old behind me constantly pulled up and down the unmatchable tray table and kicked my thin chair -- so I felt every little tiny foot. The stewardess refused to give us water when our row asked and they forgot to call boarding zone 2 when boarding so it was a mess. I would say Frontier was a terrible airline. Their discounted prices are a farce as they charge for a seat and carry-on luggage, so I may as well have paid for a regular fare from a more comfortable airline."

Air travel is much different than it was in the past and it will never go back to the way it was -- so based on today's standards -- this flight was great. I was surprised that the flight attendants did a commercial offering passengers the opportunity to purchase a Frontier MasterCard on the plane during the flight. Clever selling technique and could have been seen as offensive to some passengers but I didn't mind it."

I was given a seat on the computer and then when I got on the plane there were two people with same seat. The floors and seats were unbelievably dirty as well. I have never seen so much trash and crumbs everywhere. It was an awful experience. Our trip to Vegas the first night was ruined because we were planning to see a show Thursday evening and landed two hours late and could have possibly made it but we sat on runway for an hour before deplaning."

Only after pounding on the door, cajoling the customer service people 10 feet away and telling 50 others waiting in the service area did the door open!"

Get to the destination with no transfers and my luggage is the only piece that doesn't make it! The baggage claim attendant was all nonchalant and informed me every bag in their history has ALWAYS showed up in a few days. I'm traveling for a weekend business convention....so I had to repurchase clothing and items and possibly another suitcase fot the return trip. I will not be using this airline in the future."

Cons: "The airline increased the bag fees for the summer without an obvious communication. Very unfair and un professional from such a company. I paid $10 extra than 5 days before. The only problem with Frontier is that to check in bags there is only 1 maybe 2 people taking bags for full planes at least 100+ passengers. As it is cheaper and better to check in bags than carry on the airline should make this proccess more efficient. I spend at least 20-30 minutes to check my bag each wat ok my last trip. Very unefficient!"

The seats are the most stripped down uncomfortable airline seats I have ever experienced. After all the add on costs, there is no value in the cramped, crowded, uncomfortable flight. Also, on every flight at least half of the passengers were not aware of the baggage policy until it was too late to check it for less money and had to pay extra to carry on. To top it off, we had to change gates at the last minute, resulting in having to go out of the Domestic terminal and sent us all back through the check in!!! We should have at least been able to fly through the pre check if not rerouted us through another way that did not require the total shoes off, open bags, metal detection all over again!!!"

The attendant let me board the plane anyway and I put my carryon in the overhead without an issue, which deeply concerns me. It seems as if Frontier arbitrarily tacks on that charge, tricking their customers like con artists who will fall for this absurdity. The air conditioning did not work well and they almost forgot to give us water. Maybe they even charged for the water. The attendants were rude. Dont fly Frontier unless you really really really need to save a dime or two."

The associates at the gate in LAX said there was nothing they could do and directed me to exit the airport and go to the front ticketing counter. When I approached the counter I was greeted with lackluster focus and no sense of urgency. The ticket agent told me to go wait 'outside' for 45-60 miniutes until a supervisor would return. I let them know this was not acceptable. One agent ignored my situation completely while the Jr agent attempted to assist me by making calls on her personal cell phone. They let me know they could get me home within 24-48 hours, but I would still need to talk to a supervisor. I informed them there were flights on other airlines that day, to which they said they could not help me and to book it myself if I wanted to fly home that day. On multiple occasions during our conversation the agents said 'they should have helped you in Seattle before your flight left.' At one point walking away from me. I stated 'well, that did not happen. I inquired in Seattle regarding the connection and the agents at the gate stated that 'every flight is delayed' from LAX and it won't be an issue'. I booked a flight with American and flew out that evening. I will never book with Spirit Airlines again. I will always use the airline sight first before booking through sites such as Kayak as well."

But then they get hit with $50 for the checked bag, and since it's 5 pounds over weight, They have to pay $80. $80 for a checked bag. So they take 5 pounds out, and hold it with them, to not incur the $30 charge. When they get to the gate, they are told to stuff everything into one bag, if they can't do it, they get charged another carry-on. $60-$100 dollars. This is a SHADY business. Please tell me you won't show them by DEFAULT!"

Cons: "Spirit is a low cost, low class airline that works only in a situation where no other carriers can be used. The front desk staff are so-so and the internet website never works correctly. Their IT department needs fired and the website needs completely redone. Patience when working with this airline is very necessary as you encounter many frustrating roadblocks. Seats are so close together that the other passenger is all over you. If the adjoining seat has a larger passenger as in my case, this passenger will make your flight absolutely miserable."

Slept with our coats over our pillows. Bad start to trip.... we were told our trip was extended 1 day because we lost a day. When we got to the airport on our new day to leave we were told we were NO SHOWS to the flight the previous day which was supposed to be changed for us. Thank heaven there was room on the flight and they quietly put us on it. We never made any kind of scene or had any harsh words with anyone.... but, DONE WITH SPIRIT AIRLINES!!!!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed over 2 hours due to mechanical issue. No back up plane or alternate flight. We finally boarded the plane and sat on it for 20 minutes or so, then were told the pilots left the plane and there was no backup crew. They only offered either refunds or the same flight the following day. I had prepaid car and hotel reservations as well as critical things to do the next day. They offered no compensation, not even bonus miles, vouchers, or meal tickets and showed a real lack of concern for their customers. This cost a lot in terms of wasted time, extra expense, and lost opportuniy. I will never fly this airline again. I had to rebook another airline at a much higher rate as well. Terrible experience, wasted time and money. I did not feel valued as a customer."
Cons: "My connecting flight was delayed due to maintenance problems with the plane. They made us board another plane just to tell us to de-board because the pilot traveled his max miles already. After that the flight was cancelled with the earliest flight being the next night. Everyone was very unhappy as we all had somewhere we had to be. Customer service did do refunds and rebooking but it was just an overall terrible experience. If you're looking for reliability, spirit is not the way to go. I'm never booking with spirit again."

The trip was nothing more than a big sales pitch to continue investing in the company. I understand that business is business, but this went too far. Furthermore, after one of my flights was cancelled due to weather, I was informed that the soonest Spirit could fly me out would be 3 days later. Understandably, Spirit is a small airline, so I'm sure this was not uncommon. When I asked to be transferred to another airline to leave sooner, I was told that Spirit was not responsible for getting me to my destination any faster. A woman at the 'help desk' then took a leisurely 45 minutes (while my flight was boarding) telling me that buying any other flight would cost me between $2,000-$3,000. Spirit airlines is treating their customers like credit cards to be swiped. The self-centered money-hungry culture throughout Spirit will surely be their downfall if swift action is not taken immediately."
