During my return flight from LHR to LAX the in flight entertainment system for my seat was not functional. I requested it to be reset several times and in spite of the hostess resetting it several times, it did not function. I had to stay without an entertainment system during the entire flight. This was my first time travel with Virgin Atlantic. I may never fly Virgin Atlantic again."

There saying they don’t touch anything that we enter into the booking but somehow everything they claim we entered is now in all capital letters and the space between our first name and middle name is now gone and all run together. The coustomer service number gets you to someone in India. I have tried to get this addressed four times now at first they tried to place the responsibility on the airlines now us and they have hung up on me twice. Kayak has been worthless, they also just pass the responsibility on to someone else. We will never use them again ant I intend to make sure that this mess is put out in social media to hopefully keep others from having their travel plans ruined by their flawed system."

Cons: "I paid €60 extra to sit in the emergency door seat to get more leg room but once.i was in the plane learned for more leg room I accepted a smaller seat next to a bathroom and no entertainment. I could not store my belongings near me. No power outlet to charge my devices for my own entertainment on a 7 hour flight. Dealing with constant traffic for the bathroom. I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade""

Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

Cons: "Horrible. First, we lost a suitcase. It could happen but for two days they did nothing and only told us stories (so as not to use the word lies). Within a few hours (and thanks to airline assistance) we were able to locate the suitcase. Even then it took them two days to bring it to us, two precious days off our planned vacation (7 days) At the end of the shortened vacation, we got to the chek in, and told that since the ticket I had purchased form them two months earlier was too cheap ... and since the flight was Over booked, they would take me off the plane if all the passengers would arrive. It's unnecessary to describe what I felt until the plane took off. They apologize constantly, but do nothing practical. a bae company. no me nor my freinds/family will go with KLM"

They automatically rescheduled the flight only giving us 25 minutes to reach our next flight...impossible. so, after calling, we were re-booked again and forced into a 13 hour layover in Amsterdam. Our original flight plan had 4 hours. so, because we are a family of 7 with a baby, we had to buy a hotel room to rest, costing us a lot of extra money we had not planned to spend. We contacted KLM for help with the cost but were rejected. We also lost 5 bags somewhere between Chicago and Lusaka, but after 2 days, we received them."

I am still at my city of origin in London as I write this review."

I was seated next to a couple with twin babies and of course they cried every so often. Only a few rows away there were another two babies. - food selection was super heavy on sugar or carbs. Entre choices were pasta with tomato sauce or chicken with cheese ravioli. Almost no one chose the pasta. Please introduce healthier options with actual protein for meat eaters and vegetarians."

I saw a lot of food being thrown away. Mine included. If you are trying to force people to buy food before they board, you have succeeded. TV displays and remote were very poor compared to your competitors."

Cons: "We ended up missing our scheduled flight because the ground staff at the check in counter area was totally unorganized. We were transferring from a British Airways flight and we reached the terminal area almost 45 minutes befor the departure time. we just needed to get boarding passes . There was no signed counters were one could avoid the very long lines of people checking their bags. By the time I found a airline agent willing to help us (30 minutes befor departure time) she said that they had closed the flight for check in and could not issue us boarding passes. So at no fault of our own we missed our connection to Venice. So when I asked them to put us the next flight they refused saying that we should have arrived sooner for check in and that it was British Airways fault. Air Berlin staff has no concept of customer service and I wouldn't be surprised that this Airline goes out of business in the near future. They suck!!"
