Pros: "Middle seats were not booked. Cabin appeared very clean. Bathrooms were kept tidy. Very friendly staff. Appreciated cold drinks and the snacks."

Pros: "I paid $118 for an extra legroom seat (D26) which then turned into a pass through for passengers to cut across to the other side to use the lavatory. This happened throughout the flight, hence took away the comfort I paid for and needed on this long flight."

Cons: "The flight was delayed by 3 hours. They didn't tell us it was delayed until 2 hours before the flight, by which time we were already at the airport. They first delayed it 1 1/2 hours and then another 30 minutes every half hour. The airline/crew never even acknowledged the delay or apologized for it."
Cons: "There is always a plane waiting at the gate in Miami if one arrives early. Not really American’s fault. Miami International Airport is the one that needs to be more flexible."
Pros: "Because the flight wasn't full we passengers in the main cabin had the chance to spread out a bit more, which was great on such a long flight. Also the flight attendant let me have my scotch for free! Hooray!"
Cons: "Without power at each seat it's difficult to take advantage of the otherwise free entertainment that is only accessible through the app or on a laptop. There was a DC power outlet at my seat (not all of the seats in the main cabin even have that) but guess what--it required a cigarette-lighter-style adapter to plug in. I certainly don't travel around with one of those! And most of the other seats in the main cabin had no access to power at all. My battery wouldn't possibly last through a 7-hour-plus flight without supplementary power. Oh well, fortunately there are still books and magazines. Just like old times. Be more like United or any other international airline, American!"

Cons: "I purchased a business class seat and did not get a business class seat. In Philadelphia the agent would not give me the available seat because I was not on an upgrade list. He said I would have to call american. I tried several times. (I also called british air and they said they could not help.) Each time i tried American the message said they had high volume call back later. I reported this to BA and have not yet had a response."
