The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!"

Shortly after take-off, our calm and comfortable more or less empty section of the aircraft was colonised by an extended family of Orthodox Jews in a kind of airborne West Bank situation. They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet."

Cons: "We were told over the phone that we could bring our kayaks with us to Africa but the airport staff denied not only our kayaks, but also our paddles which were in a standard ski bag. Their excuse was that both the kayaks and paddle bags were 2 inches too long. .. TWO INCHES!!!!!! We had record of the person we talked to and the time and date, but none of that seemed to matter. It caused A HUGE INCONVENIENCE for us since we are in Zambia for 6 weeks without our gear to paddle one of the most challenging rivers in the world... the Zambezi. Now we are constantly trying to acquire the proper equipment with very little success. We run a nonprofit called the Montana Kayak Academy which provides free whitewater instruction to youth between 8 &18 yrs old and we will be sure to tell everyone we know to NOT TRAVEL WITH EITHER VIRGIN ATLANTIC OR BRITISH AIRWAYS.... EVER!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Pros: "I was selected for additional screening at the gate. I have no problem with this at all. From the start I told them I am traveling with my fiancee. They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

Cons: "The complimentary headset breaks easily. Tray table was broken and they can't fix it. Very small bathrooms, knees almost touch the door when sitting down. Food selection for dinner ran out quickly, resulting in only 2 choices and one is hot spicy, so basically only one choice. All beverages are given out in small cups, even water is given out in small cups increments (finish in one gulp), they don't even give out small bottles of water. No complimentary packet (eye shades, socks etc.) , not even a barf bag for collecting trash."

Flew Business Class on Swiss Air once to Geneva (#1) and all the flights I have had with Porter Air are comparable to your airline, but the free cookies and beverages at Porter's terminal in Toronto wonderful."
Cons: "A couple things went wrong on this trip, my checked luggage got misplaced for a day, and a nice women in baggage claim told me what was happening and a nice man handled my claim and my bag has now been returned to me. The bigger thing is my flight bas delayed taking off by 3 hours. Let me start that I would rather have a part replaced on the runway then not, safety is paramount. The fact is my flight took off 3 hours late from London (VS11), and got to my destination (BOS) 2.5 hours late. Kudos to the flight crew for getting me to my destination faster by gaining a little time. Plus, since BOSTON was my final destination it was all fine this time. But if I had had to get home to the elder person I take care of or my teenager it would been a problem. Again, I'm annoyed, but I do understand the reasons and they are valid and preferred. I have heard that airlines to keep their flight rating high, wait for planes to leave the gate on time and then do repairs on the tarmac. If this is still a SOP for airlines you should change the way the statistics are collected and figure out a way of not perpetuating this type of disincentive. This is just hypothesis on my part, and my whole trip had little negatives."

I have flown international on Delta, American Airlines, British Airlines, United, and others and any difference in the experience was negligible."

"I'm not really sure what the difference is between Economy and Premium Economy on these long-haul flights, especially when the plan isn't very full and people in Economy can lie down across an entire row. The seats in Premium Economy are a bit bigger, but you can't recline or lie down and I'm pretty sure we get the same food options as regular economy. You get a little goodie bag that you don't really need. Also, there is really no point upgrading to business class on the short flights with Lufthansa. The seat size is the same as the rest of the plane. So, you're paying $50 or so for a pretty small snack/meal and a curtain between you."

I had to put my luggage under the seat for the entire flight, which ended up reducing the very reduced legroom. What this airline is trying to do is; to charge passengers twice for cabin size luggage. This has been my worst experiences with airlines. Lufthansa is definitely an airline to avoid."

However, this leg of the trip was so late that I barely made it to third leg of the trip. A huge problem is that each of these international airports require that you go through the security check again. For that reason, connecting legs of trips through these airports should not be scheduled so close together. Heathrow is the worst, with security staff that, at best, don’t care that you have a close connection to make and just ignore your pleas to speed up the process, and at worst, are just plain rude."

Cons: "Flying to Munich- flight was cancelled. Had to rebook on United for the following day. Arrived almost 2 days late (the original was direct, the United had layovers) and missed a planned trip to Neuschwanstein castle. Flying from Munich- The entertainment screen was broken, completely unusable. After a hard reset by the flight attendant several times... Still broken. She said she thought it would fix itself once we were at cruising altitude. Nope. Notified the flight attendant who said vaguely "I'll see what I can do..." Never came back to check, never got offered any sort of compensation (even something like a free mixed drink would have been nice), offer to move seats, nothing. So- ten hours with no entertainment/nothing to watch, just a malfunctioning screen. Food was mediocre. We boarded late, and left almost 1 hour late because they had to wait for an employee (who was not working, just getting a ride back) to board. Literally there and back with Lufthansa was a fiasco. On top of it, we have been back for 3 weeks and are still waiting to hear back from Lufthansa customer service. Apparently they only communicate by email with complaints. Not over the phone. So after repeated emails, just radio silence. Terrible airline."

Cons: "Boarding process was torture. Lufthansa invited us to check-in early, but would not allow us to finish the check-in online process the day prior: seemed to be glitch in their computer system. We arrived at the airport early, but no one at Lufthansa could help us with seat assignments in order to seat our 12-yo daughter next to a partent. The airline did not open the gate area until 1+35 prior to the flight (advertised 2-hrs prior), and did not put anyone at the gate-desk until 1-hr prior to departure ...and they still could not help us. Boarding was disorganized; Lufthansa appeared to board by different groups, but there were no announcements as to which group(s) should board. Instead there was just a large crowd milling about, waiting to push their way to a gate agent. Very un-German."

"Flight crew was excellent and I appreciated being addressed as "Dear Passenger." Connecting to wifi was difficult/confusing (and a bit pricey, but that's not unique to Icelandair). No free snacks (beverages only). Passengers were seated with plenty of space between us (flight was not full). Very comfortable economy class on the Boeing 767-300s, less so on the 737-MAXs. While my first flight was delayed due to weather, the connection and return flights were on time and even landed early. If you connect at the Keflavik Airport, do buy the Nordic Deli Green Energy Smoothie--so delicious and refreshing!"

Cons: "Boarding was walk-to-outside-stairs, more an airport versus airline thing, in truth the fresh air was nice, just glad it wasn't pouring rain. Seat comfort was barely okay, the 757 seats were basically in contact with my knees, tough for such a long flight. Their 767's are much better. Didn't like paying 60 GBP (pounds, about $75) for 3 sandwich lunches with 3 alcoholic drinks, IcelandAir could do better."

Seems like choosing seats early does not get you said seats with Icelandair. Given the fact that the boarding process was an absolute mess I found it difficult to remain patient. There was no organized line, and only one available boarding agent. Recipe for disaster if you ask me but hey, what do I know. Several agents were present for decorative purposes (?) and telling people that the line was a mess. It is the airline’s duty to organize the boarding process, not the passengers’. Not being served dinner on a 7h+ flight is unacceptable. Food available for purchase was very disappointing in both quality and service. Blankets were not available on this flight while they were on the outbound flight."

Pros: "The crew is excellent and the seats in economy are as comfortable as any I've seen. The movie selection isn't the newest, but the ticket prices were low enough that it seems fair. The boarding process is a little crazy, though again, not as bad as many airlines. The worst complaint is about the Reykjavik terminal, which is tiny, way overcrowded and lacking adequate shops, bathrooms, etc. PA announcements are nearly impossible to hear. Gates are too small and seating non-existent. That said, I will happily use Iceland Air for future trips to Europe."

Cons: "Seats very close together--if the person in front of you reclined all the way, you had to as well. Seats were a little stiff (not terrible, but not very comfortable). Boarding at Reykavik was chaotic. Airport was boarding 4 big flights all from the same small (but new?) end of the terminal and it was hard for people to figure out which line they should be in due to the placement of the screens and the sheer number of people all boarding simultaneously. This is not an IcelandAir problem but likely an issue of Reykavik airport being under-prepared for the ginormous amount of visitors and layovers."

Cons: "Not enough space for legs in the economy class. The chair back support was not working correctly ( couldn't be blocked in the reclined position). Very uncomfortable chairs overall. No food included in the price of a ticket for such long flight? Poorly organized and managed departure process. The passenger next to me was sick looking. He was coughing loudly and frequently all the time during that flight. For more then 7h of the flight no flight attendant demonstrated ANY interest or offered any help. Furthermore when his female companion (wife?) asked just for cup of water so he could get his meds at the beginning of the flight they were told to wait for the regular service to start (what took app 30min). So overall my impression of the Icelandair service is no more then just O'k."

Cons: "The plane, or at least our section of it, was very warm. We were near the doors between Business Class and Economy, so we were expecting it to be even a little cold, but it was so warm that I was in a tank top the entire flight. The boarding process in Reykjavik was very odd, even for them. There was just a door in the wall under our gate # and without warning it was opened and everyone just got up and went through it. There was no announcement. Apparently the checkin desk was upstairs. We then waited 20 minutes in line, before they finally started boarding us int he order we were queued - again, no announcement."

Cons: "We were 3 hours late to Denver after leaving Iceland late. This was partially due to weather. The only upsetting thing was the $31 "dinner" available in the airport consisting of a frozen individual pizza, sandwich and 2 waters! We felt like we were being gouged for the airlines issues. The entertainment system on this flight from Iceland to Denver was a bit old and of all four flights, the system was difficult to access."
Pros: "The plane was clean, the flight attendants were friendly and made sure that the passengers were ready for take off and landings (both of these areas were a problem on the last airline on which I flew)."

Cons: "The boarding makes no sense. If you let people board from 2 ends of your plane, you should at least tell rows 1-20 to go to that door and 21- 35 go to the other. Since that's not done, mayhem ensues. The whole no free food thing is ridiculous but I will either fly a different airline (Lufthansa) or bring my own food. Also the entertainment is what you see on TV in the USA, there are no new movies AND the content is the same east and West bound."

Cons: "Admittedly this is something of an airport issue more than an airline issue, however considering Icelandair is one of the few airlines servicing the airport in Reykjavik there has to be some level of coordination going on between the two entities. Regardless, 5 different US-bound flights were all scheduled to leave within 15 minutes of each other in the same small corner of the Reykjavik airport, so when delays started coming in due to weather that area became an extremely congested mess. Perhaps its a cultural norm in Iceland to just remain silent in times of mini-crisis, but the desk attendants made no effort to communicate what was going on to the hundreds of people crammed in atop one another in the waiting area. This led to a lot of frustration from the waiting travelers. Both of these problems could have been prevented by better planning (not scheduling all outbound flights happening in a quarter hour's time into the same small corner of the airport) and better communication from the airline staff, the lack of which really aggravated a difficult situation for the people there. Once on the flight, though, everything went very smoothly, and the flight crew was quite apologetic and professional."

Food selection for an over water flight of 7 hours was abominable! And passengers are asked to pay for it too...unheard of for trans-ocean flights."

Cons: "The crew were rude and unwelcoming. Having to actually PURCHASE food and drinks on an international, transatlantic flight is ludicrous. Having made the trip from the USA to Europe many, many times, this was a shock and something that i didn't prepare for. The cabin crew were extremely rude and uncaring. Being offered a drink of water once in 7.5 hours is ridiculous and frankly dangerous for some. This was not a cheap flight, so for such poor service, I think things need to change. A smile from a crew member may not go a miss either. Thanks Icelandair, but i shall not be choosing you for my travel needs in the future, and neither will my friends and colleagues."
Cons: "When we arrived at Keflavik airport the terminal was immensely crowded with several flights due to leave the US at once. It was overcrowded to the point of being uncomfortable and there was a 30min+ wait to buy food from the only shop. As a result we did not have time to grab a bite to eat between flights. My partner was subjected to additional TSA checks which I am aware is a random check and a nescessity but due to the amount of flights departing for the US this took an extra hour, and delayed our flight. I'm thankful that Iceland Air didn't leave without us but it was an immensely stressful experience that I don't wish to go through again."
Pros: "Nothing to like except that we finally got here."
Cons: "Late departure. Not enough fuel in plane so had to refuel in Minneapolis. Even with headwinds, there should have been enough fuel put into the plane to complete the trip. They stopped in at an airport that was experiencing thunderstorms, and while we were refueling, our plan was struck by lightening and then had to to be examined for damage before continuing on. We were on the ground, in the plane, for a total of 4 hours, waiting. Finally were advised that the crew had "timed out" and could not fly any more that day, so we spent the night and all the next day sleeping on the floor in the airport. Icelandair was not at all prepared for such a situation. Situation was somewhat chaotic with incomplete and inaccurate information given to passengers. Very poor communication on the part of Icelandair, or whoever they contract this function to. We expected to be able to leave the airport the next morning, but were told that the flight would not leave until 5 p.m. Then they changed the time to 8:20 p.m. but didn't announce that. Then that flight delayed until 9:00 p.m. We finally got off the ground a little after 10:00 p.m. On top of all this, many passengers' entertainment systems did not work, and this made for a very long and frustrating flight. Not good, Icelandair."
Cons: "Our plane was diverted to refuel - after an hour and a half of increasingly cryptic and contradictory communications while sitting on the ground, we were removed from the plane and given cots to sleep on the airport floor. No staff present to provide information, no communication by email, noone available by phone, no updates on the website, vague rumors from another airline's staff of a "possible flight" the following evening.....no idea how/when we'd get back to Denver. We got a car and started driving...huge vote of no confidence in Iceland Air, its equipment and staff."
Cons: "Every flight I took, except for the connecting flight from New York to Reykjavik was delayed. Everything was extremely unorganized."
Pros: "Crew was pleasant. Leg room was better then on airlines in the U.S., and it was much easier to get out of the seat with the armrest lifting mon the aisle seat."
Cons: "The boarding process was difficult, as four flights to the U.S. were leaving at the same time and it was almost impossible to get to the gate because of the thick wall of people and no aisles. We were then put on a bus to the plane, but the bus didn't leave for over 30 minutes, well after the takeoff time, and no explanation was given. The temperature on the plane was extremely uncomfortable. Most of the time, it was very hot, and I am accustomed to flights being on the cool side and requesting a blanket. But someone must have been adjusting the temperature, because it would get cold for a short period of time, and then very hot again. It was difficult to sleep because of the temperature. It would have been nice to have some small snacks like pretzels offered with the drinks, and a larger selection of food available."

Cons: "In summary: The cheap ticket is not worth the stress and aggravation. The details: 1) Lost luggage - Over a dozen passengers were told that the pilot deliberately took off knowing that not all of the bags were loaded. We were lucky that after some Facebook shaming, Icelandair was able to locate our bags. We got them the next day, albeit after losing 24 hours of our trip. We were fortunate because our schedule was flexible and we could stay a little longer than intended to pick up our bags from the airport. We met other passengers at the airport who had been waiting for their bags for more than 2 days. Ground crew told us that 16 luggage carts needed to be used to bring in all of the late/lost bags. Worst of all - no compensation offered whatsoever. 2) Flight delays - Two of the four flights we took on Icelandair were late. There was no explanation for the delay, and the airline has so few people on the ground that it could not update the gate or boarding time information timely. This resulted in a mad dash through the airport to get to the gate when the plane finally arrived. We were given no notice but told to get to the gate for immediate departure, as if we were the ones running late. 3) Boarding/stampeding - I have never been on a flight where there is absolutely zero order to the boarding process. Almost every other airline assigns boarding zones/groups but Icelandair simply opens up the doors and lets chaos ensue. Even if the airline does not want to go through the cost of changing its systems to assign boarding zones, it would not cost a thing for the gate agents to simply board from the back of the plane to the front. This is why the boarding process took twice as long as normal and even for the two "on time" flights, we still took off and landed late."
Cons: "Again, at the gate, there were only about 22 seats in the waiting area for multiple flights. It was a mess of people sitting on the floor and standing around. The flight was not called--the board just said "go to gate". How would one know that that meant to board the plane, unless you saw people boarding? I think that the sign should have said "now boarding". Before we arrived in Denver, the crew passed out US Customs forms. I told the flight attendant that Denver has electronic Customs and we didn't need forms. She said that we did. Guess what Icelandair, Denver DOES have electronic customs and that form was a waste of time and paper, since I didn't need to use it at all. Wouldn't you think that an airline that flies into Denver everyday would know that? Other airlines do. They need to get their act together and I don't plan on flying with them again."
Pros: "The air personel were really professional, nice and accomodating except for the flashing light of the duty free cart at 2am in the middle of a dark sleepy plane."
Cons: "Where to start? I'm traveling with my wife and we decided to consolidate our stuff in one luggage since she is pregnant and I don't want her to carry any bag... We are allowed for 2 luggages of 23kg each combined it's 46kg, our bag was 30 kg. Through my previous trips with various airlines we had no pb with that until we reached the check in counter, the lady very politely explained that she has to charge me 35£ back and forth for excessive wait on the bag which I found outrageous so i had to squeeze a bunch of stuff in the hand luggage to send it as a cargo Then she infomed us that the plane is gonna be late for 1h while eventually it was delayed more than 2 h On the plane the staff was very friendly however the variety of food is so limited and the hostess passed by in the middle of flight with the duty free cart decorated as a Christmas tree while the lights were off and everyone was sleeping Finall we reach the airport, the bags took 45 minutes to reach us I love Iceland but i will not book with the same airline again"

Cons: "Strikes at the airport in Iceland are causing significant delays and causing people to miss connecting flights all over Europe and in the US. The airport was completely jammed with people waiting to fly out to the point you could not access the bathrooms. My checked bag also must have been left outside in significant rain for quite some time because it was soaked completely through with water. I had a thick wool blanket on top as well as my clothes in packing cubes and it was all soaked with water. Terrible!! You get what you pay for."
Pros: "They upgraded my to economy comfort, which made all of the difference for an 8 hour transatlantic flight."
Cons: "Flight was delayed leaving Reykjavik. I watched our baggage be removed from the plane and head to the opposite side of the airport. It was over 30 minutes later that they announced that there was a mechanical issue with our plane and we had to switch planes. The passengers deplaned, boarded buses and were transported to the new plane. We finally took off over 2 hours late. The other major issue we had is that we were located near the back of the plane and the smell of urine and toilet chemicals was overwhelming. Every time the restroom was used, the stench permeated the back of the plane."

Pros: "The aircraft, especially the restrooms, was very clean. The crew worked very hard to ensure our comfort. The seats were as comfortable as they ever get on a 757. R routing slips through the gift shop between arrival and departure is a good idea . Even those with a short connection get a chance to buy a puffin."
Cons: "The terminal at keflavik is under construction this makes arrivals and departures extremely chaotic both on the ramp and in the terminal. The arrangement of gates is so chaotic that it is often very difficult to get to your gate because of large number of passengers waiting in line at their gate."

Cons: "In general I like the flight stability of 747s. However the seats were very cramped for such a long flight, and unlike more modern aircraft, the seats lean way back pinching the person behind. Entertainment system is rudimentary at best, with few choices and a minuscule screen (but I shouldn't complain, at least there was something to watch). Also, at Heathrow airport (nobody's favorite airport) we had to board buses to get to the airport and walk up stairs. Inefficient, and difficult for older passengers such as myself."

Pros: "Things went as planned in the beginning. The young lady who checked me in at the BA counter was very friendly and helpful. The preboarding and boarding went very smoothly as well."
Cons: "The plane boarded as usual then things went wrong. There was apparently something that went wrong with furl getting into a separate storage tank (that's scary in itself...how does that happen?) and they announced that they couldn't get the fuel tank to fill completely and the mechanics needed to get a "special tool" to complete the process. Then they needed some "tool" to drain the fuel from the mysterious storage tank. That was done and they announced that they had decided that they had plenty of fuel to make it to Denver. An hour and a half later of sitting in a sweltering hot cabin the y announced that the mechanical issues were taken care of BUT we'd have to wait another 20 minutes to take off because of the traffic waiting to leave Heathrow."
Pros: "We enjoyed the entertainment, the food, (dinner, snacks, ice cream, juice and wine) the service and the crew. After our flight from Madrid to London we were expecting the worse as that flight was dismal. We were pleasantly surprised that this flight was on a clean plane with great amenities."

He must of thought that it will get delayed if I have to claim baggage and proceed for connection as the flight was delayed."

Cons: "The greatest problem was dealing with the usual chaos and discomfort of traveling through Heathrow airport. Primitive and time-consuming transportation system between terminals- Had to ride overcrowded buses packed with so many people that your body was pressed against your neighbor. Inadequate number of restrooms and poor signage to find them. Bad selection of restaurants. Then at the terminal, boarding time listed as 10:40, but they did not even announce the boarding gate until 10:40. Then a 10 minute ride on another overcrowded bus to the plane which you had to board by a staircase (and a staircase to the door on a 747 is no small thing!) Although flight was smooth in the air, the pilot landed so "hard" I thought the landing gear must have been damaged!"
Cons: "The transfer from T5 to T3 was chaotic. Queues to join queues to get the transfer bus. People were getting caught on a moving escalator because the crowd in front had nowhere they could go to make room. Extremely dangerous! It took longer to get from T5 to T3 than it did to get from Dublin to London. Boarding in T3 for the flight to Denver was almost as bad. Bodies everywhere, no organisation and no help. Then the aircraft itself was so old with uncomfortable seats and an almost unwatchable screen. I will never transit through LHR again."

Cons: "2 drunk guys speaking Russian I think totally ruined the flight. They were ridiculously loud, making it impossible to sleep. Drinking multiple wines, they got louder and louder and more animated and sloppy. Really gross and for a 9+ hour flight, not enjoyable. Eventually, a flight attendant gently told them no more to drink and was very good. But it was too late. I have flown a ton and have never heard passengers this loud, in a foreign language. In addition, one of them was quite large with a bald head, thus intimidating. We had a very long day and just wanted to rest and that was not at al possible."

Cons: "We missed our connecting flight because somebody checked in and checked bag for our incoming flight, but did not get on the plane. It delayed us an hour. The problem was when we got to Heathrow 45 minutes before flight left, but they had already bumped us from the flight. We could’ve easily made the flight, but they blamed it on the computers, and we had to get on a flight the next day. I think we need to quit relying so much on computers, and use our actual brains!"

I have a problem with my foot, and there is piece of hard plastic or something that runs the length of the plane, under the aisle seat. I had to make sure my foot didn't rest on time because it was painful to my foot."

The cancellation on the return trip was extremely inconvenient since we didn't have a phone to contact BA. After wondering the airport on the day of our departure, for a BA representative that could help, we were directed to a ticket sales office. Then after waiting for another one (1) hour in a line, the BA representative rebooked our return flights. This was not a good way to start or end a trip!"

"DO NOT FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE! I wish I would have taken the negative reviews I had read to heart before I had to discover it for myself. To start with, we were charged an extra $100 for our carry-on baggage apparently being overweight. This was not something we were told about prior to flying or we would have packed differently. During our layover in Portugal, we were delayed. Once they started to board, we got on the bus and drove out to the plane. Upon arriving at the plane, there were already two other busses there that had not even offloaded yet since they were apparently still servicing the plane. We had to stand in a crowded bus for about 45 minutes packed in like sardines. So much for social distancing and covid concerns! The plane itself was uncomfortable and the service terrible. I have flown across the Atlantic many many times on other airlines and have always received amazing service. This was not the case with TAP. Other than a small glass of water, we were only served drinks one time. There were no refills or additional service, which for a 9-hour flight is unheard of. I hated every minute of my time with TAP and will never fly with them again even if someone offered me a free ticket."

Cons: "We travelled with 2 carry ones and one checked bag throughout our 2.5 week honeymoon. Check in agent suggested that we check all 3 of our bags since the flight was full. We did. The flight from BCN to LIS was delayed 2 hours at the gate, but we were told we could somehow still catch our flight from LIS to PDL. We trusted that was true. We arrived at LIS without a single garment of clothing (we checked all 3 bags through to PDL), and then realized we missed the flight to PDL. We stood in line for 3 HOURS at the TAP help desk, only to wait behind a group of very angry people who monopolized the staff. Once we told the agent our situation, he told us there were no more seats on any flight to PDL the next morning. Not only that, but he could not provide a hotel for us to spend the night. This is 2:30am, 3:30am BCN time. He told us to find our own hotel, but we do not have international phone plans, so we could not make the reservation ourselves. He had nowhere for us to sleep. Then he had us wait for his SATA associate to help us, and he put us on a flight to PDL the next day, but it was not direct! We had plans for the following day, a hotel reservation in Ponta Delgada that is NOT refundable, and now the final portion of our honeymoon is ruined. No one ever offered to give us vouchers for ANY costs or for the anxiety and total of 14 hours lost on the most important trip of our lives. Shameful."
