First flight from Kauai was cancelled: notified by text when in line to check in. Able to rebook from Kauai to Honolulu after a long wait. Actual flight from Honolulu to Long Beach was bumpy but otherwise comfortable with very good service.
As advertised, they serve complementary meals! We had lunch and a snack! The flight attendants came along often with bottle water refills. Hawaiian Air also provided blankets. We even had complimentary wine with our meal!

Cons: "Broken backup computer not identified until 5 minutes before takeoff. Pilot said would be delayed one hour. Delayed four hours and didn’t get in until midnight, with busy day at work next day. Four hours is a lot longer than one hour. Just say four hours up front. Luckily we didn’t have to make a connecting flight. I would have been quite upset if I missed a connecting flight because they said it would only be a one hour delay and I didn’t try to switch to another flight because I was falsely told it would only be one hour."

I wrote several emails and made several phone calls and received no response. I bought a replacement pair but they're not nearly as good. I'm very disappointed."

Then it was translated into Japanese so took even longer while some people were trying to finish a movie. I was really disappointed by the small plane. We purposefully chose not to fly on a Chinese airline from China but chose Hawaiian instead because we thought the plane would be bigger. We won't be using Hawaiian again from Asia."
AA did horrible with the checking in. I was late my flight even though I got there 2 hours before my flight. There were bunches of people waiting in the line to check in and only had 2 agents at that time. More than half people in line couldn’t fly that day because the flight always took off before we checked in

Cons: "The boarding process for just about any airline is nearly identical. It always seems like it takes longer to board than expected even if, in reality, it's not an unreasonable amount of time. The only think I didn't care for was that overhead storage in the area I was sitting was just about full by the time I was seated which meant that I had to store my carry on a few rows behind where I sat. This meant that during off-boarding I needed to go against the flow of people to get back to my carry on. All in all, it was a minor inconvenience."

HOWEVER, I got to JFK only to discover I had NOT been ticketed. A lengthy call to AA resulted a a lame apology -“we don’t do that” they claimed, but the had previously! And had booked me, so what the heck was this??? I’m still fuming!"

Then the customer service line of Airlines @ LAX had 70+ people needing help, but only one person working. So it was an hour long wait, only to be told 'No' you can't fly. Yet once I walked over to British Airways, they found a way to get me to my destination. Airlines just does not have enough employees and doesn't care."

Cons: "This was a horrible travel experience, the worst I have ever known. My uncle had died, so I had to search for the soonest and most economical flight in order to attend the funeral. Traveling with me was my aunt (his ex wife) and my cousin (his only daughter). Our initial flight was delayed 'due to mechanical issues' and they said we weren't going to make our connection in Phoenix. So they had to reroute the whole trip, which took about half an hour because all of the flights were full. So instead of flying from LGB - PHX - CLT - CAE and arriving Saturday night, we ended up departing from LAX (which we specifically were trying to avoid) almost 9 hours later. From there to DEN - CLT - GSP arriving Sunday morning. Because of this I had to contact the hotel and let them know that we weren't going to check-in until the next day, but I still ended up having to pay for Saturday night. Then, I had to cancel the rental car and make a new reservation to pick it up at GSP and return at CAE since the hotel was close to CAE, plus the return flight was through CAE. Also, wifi was an additional cost (which we didn't use because of this), the snacks were pitiful, and the seats were very narrow and uncomfortable. I have flown with JetBlue in the past, but on this occasion, last minute flights to South Carolina were prohibitively expensive. That being said, if I had known how bad the experience with American was going to be, I would have gladly paid literally double the price for the JetBlue tickets. And in the future, I will be flying exclusively with JetBlue no matter what the cost."
