Fiji airways lost about a third of the baggage on our flight and no representatives would give us any information. Then when we were sent to file a claim for lost luggage, no one was at the office for another hour. While I understand things happen, the way that they handled this situation was completely awful.

The flight itself was good, the front end/airline was not so good...

They were a minimum 45 minutes late (one 2 hour, 2 one hour) for every flight. Their running late caused us to miss our connection to Brisbane, so they sent us to Sydney. The ,late flight into Sydney cause us to miss our flight into Brisbane (our ticketed destination city). As we de-planed on the Jetway was a woman holding a sign with 12 - 114 names on it, we were one. She told us to go the the transfer desk and they would help us. We had never been in Sydney, could not find a transfer desk (there was none) found the ticketing counter - nobody there, found the airline office - nobody there, went back to the ticket counter nobody still there, asked a competing airline, they directed us to an air travel management office, where we found Fiji Air personnel. They were surprised we were not told where to go. they tracked down the office manager. We finally met with him at 1:40 PM, he told us our flight was in the domestic terminal and scheduled to leave at 2:00 PM. There was no way we could make it to the plane on time. He was rather rude to us and asked us how we thought we were getting to Brisbane, We responded with "I don't know as we've never been here before". Having never been there. we did not know there was an international and a domestic terminal at the Sydney airport. He told us who we were to fly out on and he was going to call over to the other airline and straighten it out. We went to the domestic terminal tried to check in for our flight, but we could not. That airline called Fiji Air to find out why, after half an hour they were told Fiji Air would not honor our flight as we were noted as "no Shows"/. We had to book another flight to Brisbane. The flights were great, we have had VERY BAD EXPERIENCES with the ground personnel,

When my passport was renewed, for whatever reason my visa didn’t update. The person at the gate offered to help with the renewal — or said I could do it myself. Since it came down to part of the boarding process, I had her do it. It took about two minutes and she charged me $20 extra for the $20 visa. Your strength is supposed to be customer service. Really? On the plane, the seat bottom had nearly no padding for a 14-hour flight. I sat on the small provided sleeping pillow part of the way.

There was a blanket, pillow, and headphones on my seat when I arrived.

We were not able to select our seats and didn’t realize we had received the seat and bag fare. We only received a cup of water and were seated in the next to last row, often overlooked and not acknowledged.

Great choice of entertainment, crew was very fun! Food was good. Nice leg room at my seat. Carry-on compartments are very high in these planes, great for tall people, one can actually stand without hitting the head.

I could not select my seat (for free) at booking. Later I could not checkin via internet on my mobile, I needed the APP but couldn't download it (not enough battery at the time), consequently I had to take seat given at checkin at airport but attendant kindly found me a seat that was best in what was left on a fully booked plane.

We fly a lot and have flown American, European, Asian airlines but this has to be the best experienxe ever. First, their checkin is all automated, even baggage. That makes the lines really short. Their staff standing by to help at every moment. When we used another airline in Australia Jetstar, we waited in line for one hour and then were scolded for being late! We even had to pay for our water and the staff took turn scolding us over our overhead bin stuff. Boarding of NZ airline was so comfortable, without pushing or crowds. Staff always welcoming you with a smile. Seats are wide and we were given free drinks, free headohones, and wait for it.... free dinner! And all served so politey and in the most gracious manner as if we were their guests. We were so taken back by their service and this was the aecond time we have flown with them in 10 days. My young daughter thought may be their staff gets paid more so they seem to be so much more happy. I also think that there is something when you dehumanize your customers by charging them for water and being uncaring to their needs. The staff also starts to treat the customers as cattle. Besides Southwest Airlines, I havent come across one another airline where the staff treat their custmoers with reapect while charging them for water. So airlines, take note. I would pay $50 per ticket extra just to be in NZ airline.

Because the flight was short, we had no entertainment options offered. I think I’d like flying more if movies were show, even if the whole airplane shows one movie like they used to do. Otherwise, it was a normal flight...nothing memorable. Though, my fiancé did love the granola bars and raves about them after the flight. I didn’t eat mine so I gave mine to him.

The plane was clean.

Needed to use a desk since I was unable to check in online. Luckily I got there early enough but waited an hour and a half on line and when finally getting there learned it's because I didn't have an ETA which the website could have told me but didn't so had to keep our fingers crossed that it went through within 5 minutes. To be honest they also could have had someone talking to people on the line to see if they had all the necessary paper work horrible experience.

The check-in process was extremely simple and easy. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. They didn't make a huge deal out of small problems, as so many seem to like doing.

There was a blanket, pillow, and headphones on my seat when I arrived.

We were not able to select our seats and didn’t realize we had received the seat and bag fare. We only received a cup of water and were seated in the next to last row, often overlooked and not acknowledged.

We fly a lot and have flown American, European, Asian airlines but this has to be the best experienxe ever. First, their checkin is all automated, even baggage. That makes the lines really short. Their staff standing by to help at every moment. When we used another airline in Australia Jetstar, we waited in line for one hour and then were scolded for being late! We even had to pay for our water and the staff took turn scolding us over our overhead bin stuff. Boarding of NZ airline was so comfortable, without pushing or crowds. Staff always welcoming you with a smile. Seats are wide and we were given free drinks, free headohones, and wait for it.... free dinner! And all served so politey and in the most gracious manner as if we were their guests. We were so taken back by their service and this was the aecond time we have flown with them in 10 days. My young daughter thought may be their staff gets paid more so they seem to be so much more happy. I also think that there is something when you dehumanize your customers by charging them for water and being uncaring to their needs. The staff also starts to treat the customers as cattle. Besides Southwest Airlines, I havent come across one another airline where the staff treat their custmoers with reapect while charging them for water. So airlines, take note. I would pay $50 per ticket extra just to be in NZ airline.

Fiji airways lost about a third of the baggage on our flight and no representatives would give us any information. Then when we were sent to file a claim for lost luggage, no one was at the office for another hour. While I understand things happen, the way that they handled this situation was completely awful.

Thank you for allowing 1 free bag since many carriers now charge even for the 1st one. Hot meal was good but serving curry may not appeal to all passengers.

The lines were long to check our bags. I enjoyed the chicken curry meal but other people did not like it since it was a little spicy.

The flight crew was friendly and efficient. it was a pleasure to fly with them.

The entertainment system had EXACTLY the same movies/shows we had on the flight over. Since we flew like 14 hours, we saw everything we wanted to see the 1st time. Maybe offer different choices on southbound and northbound itineraries.

The seats are super comfy and the staff are lovely and very attentive to ones needs. The only down fall would be that I had to pay for movies and a meal wasn’t included with my flight, but that’s minor. Also, baggage cost me 120.AUD for one bag! I thought that was pretty outrageous for one check in bag. But the pilot was very good and informative as the overall flight was smooth. Thanks again air New Zealand.

Over priced check in bag. Due to it not being according to weight. Ridiculous.

we purchased a sky couch for an extra $700 and was not put in a skycouch row. I have contacted Air New Zealand and have yet to hear back from them.

The space between seats is exceptionally small. It was cramped without even enough room to bend over and pick something up off the floor.
