Cons: "When my flight with American Airlines cancelled, I felt so panicked because I needed to be in Florida on Saturday night. But thankfully, lady who works for American Airlines solved my problem on the phone in couple of minutes easily. After that, when we were boarding to the aircraft, there was a cabin attendant lady. She came to us and ask me and my mother if we can talk English.I answered her with yes we can, but she demands to talk with my mother. And English is not her native language, but it doesn't prove that she doesn't know it. She tried to ask questions to her like, "where were you today?" so we couldn't really understand the reason for her to ask those questions in the first place. So we couldn't really say anything. While we were talking about my mother's English, the all aircraft was watching us, and trying to figure out what was going on. After all, she made us to sit there and wait her to replace us with other passengers. We waited the whole aircraft to be seated, then she took us to another seat with my mother. I can understand that it is her job but I'm not sure, if it had to be that much discomfort. We got pretty upset about it and it affects our flight quality. Plus, while cabin crew serving beverages, they didn't really ask us anything. We needed to call them for our order. To be honest, I would never flight with Delta. It was a disappointment."

Pros: "Flight 1751 Miami to Cleveland 1/11/21. Flight attendants did not enforce mask policy! Family of four sick sneezing, coughing, short of breath. The fathers mask was down the entire flight. Even when the flight attendants picked up the trash. They were informed after the flight they did not comply with CDC, Department of health, and state policies. Their response was “ I made announcements overhead. Didn’t you hear?”. Appalling endangering customers and disregarding Federal, State, and local policies."

Cons: "I take this flight quite a lot. These comments are for this flight (MIA/MSP) - but not necessarily only for this exact flight that I took on 10/1. To be clear - the crew says "this is not AA", it is Republic Airlines". Well, they must think of themselves very poorly. Their food in first class is always changing - oh, I meant only the names for the same exact meal change. "Grilled Chicken with Couscous", "Grilled Chicken with Risotto", etc.. - all cold meals as they do not have an oven/microwave? on the plane. They are charging first class international prices for economy domestic service. For this amount of money, they should have better meals and a more modern airplane. The first class is always freezing (even in summer) while the rear cabin where the crew stays when not working, is hot. So if they make the first class happy with the correct temperature, they cook in the back. I have also observed more people than usual coughing and getting colds - both ways - than any of the other flights I take regularly (over 115,000 miles on AA this year). I would suggest that AA make it clear that Republic must offer better service to their customers - especially for the large airfares they are receiving."

Had it been busy, it would have been different in that seats were not very wide, aisles very small, if the seat in front reclines and you don't, you can't see your screen and not a lot of space in general."

On their own with nothing else and it arrived 30 minutes before we landed so very rushed. On a 9.5hr flight the 2nd meal needed to be an actual meal and come sooner than it did."

Pros: "I had to buy new clothes after lost bag and since bag had been lost twice during my trip, I was reluctant to check the bag. It was of size to cram into my carry on so I did that, but American staff demonstrated concern, had a sense of humor and helped me get a comfortable seat to sort of take some of the sting away. All that was great of them I was aware of being in an upgraded seat. No complaints, but it stung a little because I was deeply aware of the reinforcement of class. The small, extra comforts were wonderful and I wish everyone had them while risking their lives together over the ocean - especially the extra room At times, on the way over I felt a claustrophobic panic. But to stay positive, they were kiind, sympathetic, funny, sweet. I appreciate them."
Cons: "The original booked flight was about 12 hours before the rebooked flight. We got up at about 2:00 am to leave for the airport at 3:30 am for a 6:30 am flight. We were all packed and booked our ride and shuttinlpg down the computer at the last minute when we noticed an mail after midnight telling us the flight was cancelled. We called and were told there was nothing they could do, due to connections and this was entirely their fault. Approximately 12 hours later we took a “red eye” thus arriving a day late for our hotel and car reservations. We were charged baggage fees and not sure if our priority boarding will be refunded."
Cons: "My flight from SFO to Miami was delayed so I missed my connection to Rio and now I’m NYC on my birthday instead of my final destination. The flight status was changed 7 times. And AA said they would get my bag off but they did not and now I have to wait at JFK and hope it got rerouted here. And if it didn’t to hope it can on another flight before I hopefully actually get on a flight for Rio. Nobody has comped me for losing a day in Rio and for my hotel room. And this has been the worst flight exeperience or my life which unfortunately landed on my birthday. One I’ll remember in a sad and bad way. American Airlines refused to compensate me because I got my tickets via Kayak and I haven’t been able to find a number to complain to a Kayak agent whom I sure would say I had to contact American Airlines and nobody would help or take responsilvitu for this disaster."

The check-in process was slow and i was overcharged for my bike, On the way down it was $25 the same price as previous AA flights, On other airlines, it also just counts as a piece of luggage. On the way home i was charged $150 oversized luggage, yet it was <50 lbs and within the size limits. The flight crew was not overall friendly. Very business like and not warm at all. If they were a restaurant i would not be returning. The locks on my bike case were both broken off. the case was not locked. Nor was this done by TSA as they would have left a note as they have previously done."

We hit so fast and hard that the plane teetered from one wheel to the other and fish tailed so hard that people's necks were hurt. If possible, I'll never fly United again."

Cons: "Due to power outage at the airport, my flight was cancelled. I called to talk with an agent, who were only able to check alternative routes one at a time and it was a total waste of time. I suggested that they call me back after they do some research. They promised to call back in 30 minutes but never did. After more than an hour I called again to talk with a second agent, who simply asked me to contact the third party through which I booked my ticket. The third party called them on my behalf and I was offered two options: 1) to get a full refund; 2) to get a replacement ticket for a flight that's FOUR DAYS after my original flight. What a joke!"

Pros: "Direct floght for the route with really no competition for the same airports and similar times. Checkin staff was courteous, embarking was swift, flight on time, safe, no issues."
Cons: "No quick bag drop off option, very slow to be processed. Tons of fees, they really add up and if you pay the extras it can easily be more expensive than the competitors. Super rude and careless flight attendant. Asked for bathroom permission for my 3-year-old once we were at full altitude and she denied. Sure enough 2 minutes later an adult just went for it. Then as the seatbelt sign was off she was blocking the aisle with the trolley. When I asked kindly to make room, she didn’t even acknowledge that she heard my request... she did, eventually, without even looking at me. Also very slow to get the stroller and a bit slow to get the baggage but these latter issues may be airport dependent."
Cons: "For beginners, my fisrt flight on new years eve got delayed, and then it got canseled... in order to make it to new orleans i had to book a flight with American airline for a much greater price (frontier $50 AA $375) Frontier was only willing to cover another flight with them, which would not leave untill Tuesday (jan 2) and that meant i would miss out on my new years experience and also a lost of $250 on a non refundable reservations, after calling costumer service they were only willing to provide a 200 voucher to fly with Frontiers instead of refunding me the full amout on $375 for the AA ticket i had to buy... my other r flight from New Orleans got delayed 2 times and i got in the plane 4 hours later to a flight where they didnt even provide complimentary drinks like a soda or water, last but not least i am currently waiting for my flight back home and i received an email saying that it got cancelled but when i called costumer care and they said that the status is unconfirmed... but if so i will be loosing a day a work and prob have to book another flight that will probably cost me more money to which i am not certain that i will be compensated for"

Cons: "The flight was delayed, which on its face is understandable, except that it seems to be a pattern with Frontier. Whether I'm flying them myself, or picking up someone who's flying them, the last several Frontier flights I've experienced have been delayed, often repeatedly. And then there's the luggage fees . . . I booked this most recent ticket well in advance, and wasn't sure what my luggage needs would be. When I went online to add bags, I learned that adding them post booking, but pre-airport still incurred a significant cost increase - from $25 (at booking) to $38 (a week before check in). To carry one bag and check another, I had to pay nearly $80, which was more than the cost of my actual plane ticket! I'm sorry, Frontier, but I think our relationship is coming to an end . . ."
Cons: "Our flight was cancelled for "weather" yet every other major airlines, United and Southwest, had no issues. The customer service representative was unprofessional. She was unwilling to provide any proactive assistance. In fact she offered us an alternative flight that was scheduled to depart AFTER our scheduled returning flight. Contrasting this with our experience speaking to a Southwest airline representative who was courteous and knowledgeable was unbelievable. I will never fly Frontier again."
Cons: "Showed up to the airport in New Orleans to find out my flight was canceled, but had to be told by people from another airline because the Frontier desk was vacant. Received no email, phone call, text or anything to tell me the flight was canceled. Not even one Frontier employee was at the airport to explain the situation. They just left a stack of papers to say the flight was canceled and they weren't offering anymore flights that day. Had to book one on another airline for the next day, so called Frontier to get reimbursed (they said very clearly on the paper that they would reimburse up to $400 in another airline) and spent over two hours on the phone getting passed around from person to person who said they couldn't help me. Still no idea if I'll be getting reimbursed. DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINE."

Cons: "There was a lady sitting next to me with a small dog that was not in a kennel and it tried to bite not only one of the flight attendants, but me as well. The man who almost got bit told the woman that dogs should be in kennels during flights and she said "oh I don't know he's never done this before." Well awesome for you but I've never been bit by a dog on an airplane before either. The guy let it slide and moved on. The tray tables are a joke. They ONLY offer complimentary WATER. No leg room. Would not recommend."
Cons: "Frontier cancelled return flight without telling me and refusing to do anything other than refund 75$ or give me a flight 4 days later. Frontier refused to help with hotel or other accommodations and I had to rebook flight with delta for 350$ so I could get back home. Also, the employees from Frontier were extremely rude and refused to even look at me or even answer my questions. They said flight was cancelled due to weather reasons, but American Airlines was able to get planes running on only an hour delay. And, again, I never even had the common courtesy of a call or email, or text that my flight was cancelled! I had to find out when I got to the airport,"
Pros: "The check in staff were rude, we felt like we were rushed. Frontier is a deceitful airline, they didn't tell us that the bags were SO expensive, usually an airline gives you some bag for free, nope! Carry on and checked luggage cost a ton of money. Not to mention you have to pay for seats, which is expensive! If you're travelling with someone and you don't pay for seats and you wait until the end to be assigned then you won't end up sitting beside the person you're travelling with and I must tell you the response I got from them was that they're busy and they have no time to deal with this. Then there is the flight crew, through the flight all I could hear is the flight crew talking about how they are on a waiting list and something about becoming a full attendant and every other word was accompanied by a bad word. I would file for a refund if I thought that would get me anywhere. Sorry Kayak I like you but from now on I'll be going direct to American Airlines. By the way! The CEO of Frontier is the former CEO of spirit...That alone should tell you stay AWAY."
Cons: "Received email at 3:30pm that 8:15pm flight from New Orleans to Philadelphia was cancelled. Was on the way to the airport already, so didn't see the email until the lady at the desk told me it was cancelled. When I asked why, she said it was "due to weather" because it was snowy up in Philadelphia. Since they were claiming the cancellation was due to weather, they would not help arrange or pay for an alternate flight on another airline, nor cover a hotel during the time stuck there. They told us that the next flight we could take was Friday (it was Monday), which was also the day before Christmas eve. It was not snowy in Philadelphia. The plane we were supposed to be taking was arriving from Philadelphia on time. After 2hrs of being on hold and arguing with Frontier customer services, they finally admitted to my travel partner that the reason for the cancellation was actually because it would put the flight crew that they had over the legal limit of fly time without breaking/sleeping. So they lied to me completely about the reason to begin with, offered no help whatsoever to resolve the problem in a reasonable manner, and eventually admitted the real cause of the cancellation but still refused to pay for another flight. Luckily, one of my other travel companions was headed to Philadelphia via American Airlines at the same time, and had miles they were willing to let us use. Otherwise, it would have cost $2000 for the two of us to get home - or whatever it would cost to stay in a hotel for 4 nights while missing work. Never choosing them again."
Cons: "Airplane is new but chairs are made of plastic and very thin, they don't recline and you have very small space -- very uncomfortable. I flew from Miami to Vegas (5 hours) The plane flew at low altitude the entire way and went right through all storms just to save fuel/money. People were afraid for their lives because the plane was shaking so bad. I travel 1-2 weeks out of each month by plane for work and I am not afraid, I knew it was fine, but others had no idea and were very afraid. I know it is a cheap airline, but the real problem I had with them was they are not honest. Their website says that if you chose your seat online you have to pay, but if you do at check in it is free and they will try to keep your party together as long as there's seats available. Upon arriving at the counter they wanted to charge me to keep me and my fiancée together, otherwise she was at the front of the plane and I was all the way at the back. The plane had extra seats and we got there early to get assigned seats together but even the manager would not help me even after showing their website. He said the computer will make them charge me and there was no way around it. There's always a way around it. At the end of the day, paying for seats, all bags you check in or carry on, foods/drinks in the plane, I paid just as much as flying with a good airline such as Delta. I will never fly with them again, that is for sure."

Cons: "When I needed assistance it took the attendant at least 15 minutes to recognize my call. Another passenger had to assist. The attendant wasnt serving at the time just chatting with other passengers. i was surprised by the added fees and the seating was tight. the staff at the New Orleans terminal was borderline rude when checking bags. My friends bag was about an inch longer than the required size because of the handle and was forced to pay as a carry on. The staff in Philadelphia was more pleasant and helpful when explaining the added cost."
Cons: "I've traveled consistently between 4-6 times a year for the last 15 years and this was my first trip with Frontier. It was by far the worst travel experience of my life. One of the passengers was so drunk that she threw up all over the gate agent's podium, and this passenger was still allowed on the plane. When we boarded, we had to circumvent the vomit because it hadn't been cleaned up yet. There were multiple passengers on board who brought their own alcohol, were noticeably drunk and extremely loud. I understand that this is not your crew's fault, but there was a complete lack of understanding as to how to handle the situation. The pilot scorned passengers as a whole, and noted that if people didn't calm down, he would force a landing in North Carolina. The responsible passengers such as myself not only had to tolerate the debauchery, but also felt like we would be potentially be punished for other people's bad behavior. The flight crew seemed to have no idea how to handle this situation. I don't understand why is passenger are blatantly breaking federal regulations, the crew would not do anything about it. When I attempted to check in online, literally ever seat (including middle seats, back row) had an up-charge which is simply ridiculous. the seats were small and very uncomfortable. I will never fly Frontier again. I'd pay double for a flight with another company just to avoid them."
Cons: "My suitcase was 1 month old and in perfect condition when I arrived for my flight. When I picked it up two hours later, the main zipper had been mangled past the point of repair in such a way that once it was opened, it was impossible to zip it again. When I brought it to the attention of Frontier staff, they said that they don't offer any compensation for "just zippers." As if a suitcase is usable without a functioning zipper. They handed me a xeroxed slip with a phone number if I had a complaint - turns out it was the wrong number, and after waiting over a half hour without a person answering the phone it was crystal clear that Frontier doesn't care about repeat business."

I had to pay a taxi, extra night at hotel then a fee for rescheduling flight. Ridiculous, NECER flying Frontier again! Even if tickets were free! I booked/found flight on kayak app. I would suggest kayak remove them, experience was so bad that negatively effects kayaks reputation too. Also, every other airline provides complementary beverages and snacks, NOT Frontier. Also free bag check? Nope frontier charges everything! Even a carry-on which is free everywhere else. Absurd, truly worst flying experience EVER!"

It soured the rest of what was otherwise perfectly good service. Other passengerss reacted the same way. I was charged and then noticed the family next to me was charged only $40 for checked bags. The looks on their faces for having to pay for both types of bags was priceless. I mentioned the cheaper check-bag fee at the counter and she said, "Oh, but you said it was carry-on". It just felt scammy. Easy-Jet has been a discount airline for ages and they give you all the options up front so you know what you're getting into. They practically charge you for toilet paper but there are no surprises. Add the extra aggravation of LaGuardia's third world style and you end up with a frustrating day for avoidable reasons."

She was pissy when I asked for gin, because she had to go look for it. She was agrivated when I asked if I had to buy the mixer separate, as it was my very first time on frontier. They didn't have gin though it was on the menu, as expensive as the alcohol was that I did buy, the mixer should have come with it. The fact that one has to pay for a carry on is ridiculous! On to of it all the flour was late boarding. I was not impressed with frontier. Cons: "I booked tickets with this airline for the first time because prices were significantly cheaper than with other airlines. However, I didn't realize I would have to pay $45 for carry on luggage, pay extra if I did want a seat in the middle, and even pay for soft drank! After factoring in all those things, it would have been a lot cheaper to use a different airline. Plus, it was by far the most uncomfortable airplane I have ever been on. No leg room, small seats that do not recline and have no cushion. Terrible experience!"
Cons: "There is a lot to complain about with this airline. I cannot comment on the comfort, food not entertainment because I missed my flight. Granted the flight missing was not the fault of the airline however I would have imagined that the staff would have told me in no way would I make my flight with the security lines the way they were. Once we made it through we ran the entire length of the airport to try and make the flight in hopes that they might delay the plane. That's is not the whole complaint because it happens. However; my bags flew with the flight I missed. The ticket agent assured us the bags would get to the destination and I could pick them once I arrived on the later flight (through a different airline). When I arrived NO employees where to be found. The "helpline" not helpful not even to tell me if the bags were there and lock and I could get them in the morning. Instead I was talk to condescending and rude, thanks to Kim in Colorado. I stayed the night over since my home is 3 hours from the airport. Next morning at 8:30 I call to speak to someone, helpline again unhelpful. Could not tell me when someone would be there or anything about my bags. I show up the airport. No staff. I waited for an hour and half for a ticket agent. Once I posted on their social media page that I was unhappy that person told me when they would be there and their hours. NOT THE HELPLINE but I already stood around picked up my bags and was out of there. I will never fly this airline. They nickel and dime you and have terrible customer service."
Cons: "They wanted,discharge me $40 dollars for a carry-on, let's just start there. So in addition to whatever I would have paid to check a bad now carry on items are 40 bucks? Get real. Next there's the issue of the flight itself which was horrible. The seats were no better than plastic folding seats you would buy at target and about as comfortable. Frontier's idea of first class is what every other airline would call coach. There is so little leg room or room in front of you that I couldn't lay my head down on the tiny little excuse for a folding tray. Additionally none of the chairs leaned back. Not that they could as you would be in the lap of the person behind you.so I had to sleep on a red eye for 4 hours sitting straight up on hard plastic, crammed into a row like sardines. I will never fly frontier again."

Cons: "I've flown frontier before and I have never had a problem. Tried to check in for our flight 30min before it took off as we were running late. The rep who was working the desk (young female, approx. 20yrs old) gave us the worst guest service I have ever received. I did not understand why we could not check in, nor attempt to board our flight, although I understood it is our fault for running late. We did not need to check any bags as we were carrying them on. The woman behind the desk only kept saying you missed your flight and was very disrespectful when our friend tried to talk to her saying "I don't know why your even trying to talk to me, I told you I am done with you." I work in the guest service industry and have never been treated or talked to with such disrespect. I would have understood if she was apologetic and explained to us WHY we could not board or make our flight, compared to being rude and rolling her eyes constantly. I will not be flying frontier again I can avoid it."

If you like to not move your legs around or not be able to recline slightly while in an air plane, then this is your airline. The flights are cheap but they forgot to tell you they charge for one carry on! You might as well fly with a legitimate company and not end up paying the same price if not more because of all the "fine print". The saying goes "buy cheap, get cheap" but this airline is a little out of control."

They were so loud we heard their entire conversation from what they did on their free time in the summer, to what they think about game of thrones & talking about their fitness. It’s very misleading to have a reasonable flight price, making it appear like it’s a good fare when actually the end result/price is MUCH MORE than other reputable airlines. An outrageous fee for luggage whether it be carry on or checked; a ridiculous fee for a seat if you want to sit next to a family member; a fee to check in at the airport if you don’t check in online; no complimentary beverages/water and expensive fees for a nonalcoholic beverage on a FOUR HOUR FLIGHT. SPIRIT AIRLINES IS VERY MISLEADING!!! Their motto of “only pay for what you use“ is outrageous!!!!!!! ALSO, if you think you can actually speak to someone from their 1-800 number, think again!! Something was wrong with their website when I tried to pay for the luggage 24 hours prior to check in and it wouldn’t allow me. I could NEVER actually speak to anyone for 2 days. So we had to pay $100 at the airport for TWO SMALL pieces of luggage. We will use the airline to get back home but will never use spirit again."

Cons: "Didn't like baggage fees for carry-ons, didn't like paying for seats to ensure that my wife and I sat together because she has travel anxiety, didn't like having to pay for a ginger ale on the plane, didn't like small tray tables and the fact that the seats did not recline, didn't like that there was no entertainment on the flight (screens, music, charging capability for phone). I understand the appeal of "pay what services you want" as there were many services that we "needed", and because of that we certainly paid for them. In addition to our airfare, we paid $32 for seats, $160 for 2 carry-ons and 1 checked bag, and then $6 for 2 ginger ales to help settle our stomachs for the flight. It was very unexpected. Spirit did reimburse us $60 as a one-time courtesy because this was our first time flying with Spirit, and we did not know what to expect, but had we not complained, we would have gotten nothing."
Pros: "I will never fly spirit again. I thought that I would be saving money, and yet I spent more on this budget flight, than I would with delta or American airlines. I was charged twice for carry on and check in, because I had to stop over in florida to transfer. So, on top of the flight costs, I paid an extra $110 for my luggage. I think being charged for carry on is ridiculous. The seats were super uncomfortable, there was no entertainment offered, and not even a soft drink was complimentary. Needless to say, I am not a fan!"
Cons: "There was nothing to like about this trip because the website would not send me a boarding pass although I checked in online twice the day before, so I never had the opportunity to even get in the gate. I asked for a boarding pass through an email and it didn't come through, twice. I did not think much of it because I have had problems receiving emails from Spirit in the past and I have always been able to log into my account and access the boarding pass on the website. The morning of the flight, the website locked me out and wouldn't allow me to log in. I actually had to leave the security line to try to sort the issue out. The kiosk at the airport told me I was at the wrong airport (I was not). I went to the front desk and the agent was SUPREMELY unhelpful and unconcerned, and marked me as a no show at 7:05 for a flight leaving at 7:25. Even though I was standing right in front of her. Even though I had left the security line to deal with the issue. I had to get to my destination that day, which happens to be the reason I bought a ticket in the first place, so I had to spend an additional $500 on a Southwest ticket because the agent at the front desk of Spirit said I had no other options with Spirit that day. I called customer service and despite escalating the issue to a manager, I was essentially told "sorry for your luck" and sent on my way. The manager even asked, at the end of the call after telling me a refund would not be possible, if I wanted to purchase an airline ticket while I was on the phone. I have bought a fair number of Spirit tickets in the past. I unfortunately already have a ticket lined up with Spirit Airlines in November but I will never be purchasing another ticket from this airline again. It was an absurd scenario - I paid for a ticket and was not able to redeem the ticket I paid for - and I should not be have to pay the price for Spirit Airlines having poor IT."

Cons: "I don’t like that I had to pay $55 to have a carry-on. I travel light for those reasons, and if I’m going to pay extra for a bag I might as well check it and get to take my toothpaste with me. I don’t like that I paid $27 to be in the exit row. There was no tray table on the seat in front of me, or anywhere for my usage. There is no headphone jack. You shouldn’t even ask if I enjoy the entertainment because they don’t offer anything, not even for the people that pay extra money. Also don’t like my seat didn’t recline or have an armrest and overly obese couple that they squeezed in next to me took up all the space of the row. What’s the point of paying extra for comfort, when you get less than the guy who paid nothing and is in a middle seat, who I’m sure he was uncomfortable and miserable as well. I also don’t like that you have to pay for water!! Who makes you pay for water!? Not even the peanuts or the pretzels were complimentary… Absolutely never ever flying with this airline ever again! The cheap airfare was definitely not worth the lack of professionalism and being taken advantage of to have to pay for every extra thing that should be expected in regular travel."
Pros: "The website and App crashed on multiple instances. When I first created an account my flights were not coming up for my name. I had to call on both of my flights to get this issue fixed. How hard would it have been to fix for both flights on the 1st call? I didn’t get a seat assigned for both of my flights and had to call customer service. All on my friends got seats assigned and based on past experiences, this led me to believe the flight was overbooked. Therefore, on the one flight I had to pay 18 dollars just to ensure I had a seat. I had my boarding pass on my app when I through security at BWI. Then mysteriously the boarding pass didn’t show up when I got to my gate. There were no employees at the counter to print my boarding pass. Horrible experience overall"

Cons: "I didn't like the flight attendants attitudes. On all of my flights they shared a common theme , rudeness. They weren't as nice and sweet like other flight attendants I have encountered. On my first flight one flight attendant was eating while we were taking off , omg !! When I ask for assistance because The kiosk instructed me to contact an agent , the employee at the desk told me with an attitude to go back to the kiosk and try again instead of just helping me . I'm not sure I will book with spirit again ."

Cons: "The flight was drastically delayed, without appropriate notification. They offered no remedy without any option to arrive at my until 3 days later and this with me staying overnight at the Fort Lauderdale airport, to be on stand by for the flights on said third day. Their only other offer was to refund me the value of that 'first flight". It took two hours and 15 minutes of declining those offers and being very disrespectfully for them to offer a full refund (5 to 7 business days later). They offer no help with rebooking, so I had to purchase with another airline at full last minute price."

I was wearing a head scarf and one of the air hostess, even though she looked embarrased doing it, came up to me to ask my name she marked something on her paper too. She tried to make it very normal because I can understand it hard to abide with the rule that you dont actually agree with. Well I literally have no problem being looked over or being asked the name, but i just think its pretty sad if they treat people differently just because the way they are dressed up. I had my baby with me and i would never want him to get a bad impression about people. putting a scarf is just a way of dressing like wearing swimming suit would be for a lot of people swimming. I am part of America and I used to not wear the scarf because the way people look at you but I took the fear out and started practicing something my religion teaches me, but being treated differently just because there is some addition in my dressing is pretty sad. if there is a rule like that wiyh airlines, thry really should change it: just my thought..otherwise, my religion teaches me to respect everyone and follow the legit rules, and I have no problem kn answering unnecessary questions too because I know I am right"
Cons: "Flight was cancelled TWICE in one day. I ended up having to book on another airlines and paid quadruple the original price out of my own pocket. Spirit told me I should go to the airport (an hour away), and they would "try" to make put me on a flight with another carrier. This was a business trip and I absolutely had to be there for a certain time, so I couldn't risk waiting on Spirit to "try" and place me with no guarantees. They gave me two $50 flight vouchers, as if I'll ever fly with them again! Awful, stressful experience."
Pros: "Spirit airlines does not try to give you the ringer. They tell you what you are getting and how much it costs. The staff is also incredibly pleasant and they seem to love what they do."

Cons: "Three of the four flights on our recent trip from Seattle to New Orleans were Canceled. Stop over in Las Vegas on the way there flight cancelled to New Orleans---3 hours in line at airport only to find next flight out 24hours later. Told due to weather. Next day we returned to airport to be told our flight again cancelled --this time pilots did not show for flights--placed on another airline and got to New Orleans 36 hours later then Planned. Four days later flights home from New Orleans to Seattle also cancelled. Long wait on hold with Spirit costumer service and no reason given for cancelled flight again. Asked and received refund form Spirt for those legs of flight then booked a flight home on different airline. We will never fly Spirit again. We feel sorry for their employees having to work for such an inept company. We lost a day and half of New Orleans time and two nonrefundable nights at our hotel in NO. Including cabs, and hotels over $700.00 lost plus the stress."
Pros: "The fact that I was flying to Detroit. The flight itself was smooth and passengers were nice and quiet. Very funny flight attendant was making all the passengers laugh when she was speaking to the phone, while we were leaving the airplane."
Cons: "I was not aware of the fee for carry on bags. When I ordered the tickets online, it clearly said that they are free. When I arrived the the airport, I was told I have to pay for them. I was traveling with my kids, so I had to pay for all of them. I booked my flights with Spirit before and never had that issue, yet this time I was not happy about how things went. I told the staff by the bagging area, that online it says something different and she told me sorry I cant do anything about it. I told her I didn't bring that much money with me, but that didn't matter. I had to call my friend to pay with credit card for my bags."

Cons: "Fares may be cheap, but they gouge you on everything else. A carry on bag $57 is daylight robbery. Also overbooked my friends flight and bumped him so the whole trip was ruined because we didn't have much time. The seats are super uncomfortable as well. I guess you have to pay a lot more for a seat that doesn't send you to the chiropractor. Spirit should be ashamed of it's business model. It should be called set the hook with a low initial price then gouge all you can. I even took money to the bathroom because I thought they would charge. That is next by the way. I would have to say my Spirit experience at least matched my many prior experiences with United, which is the worst airline on the planet. Spirit maybe second by a slim margin. I will never fly Spirit again. They stink."
Pros: "I recently traveled with my wife and 3 year old for the first time on Spirit Airlines. I have never flown with them before. We travel a fair amount and have always flown with other airlines but I saw a good deal they offered and I jumped on it. After the check in process was completed online, I headed to the airport. The service I received in the terminal with staff standing at the entrance was unexpectedly pleasant. Without asking, the staff had already guided me in the direction and next step I should take for checking luggage. It was awesome! Once we went through the boarding process and boarded the plane, I was totally shocked! The flight attendants were completely kind and over the top hilarious. They were making funny/silly comments about the flight and flying in general. Although there was no electronic entertainment offered on this flight, they made up for it in their fun personalities. It was the best atmosphere between all of the passengers around me who were all enjoying the outgoing spirit with the crew. It was a flight to remember!"

Cons: "We paid for the TSA check boarding and were rejected from this line on the way back to Chicago. Had to go back and wait 1 1/2 hours to go through TSA because: Spirit offered TSA check for and additional fee, but didn't print it out on our return boarding passes. Web site is so much like a comic book, its very difficult to find what you need. I couldn't print out return boarding pass move than 24 hours in advance and didn't have time to look it over before finding out we were taken for 66.00 for the TSA check pass. Very disappointed with this airline organization."
Pros: "The flights themselves were both on time and smoothly done in spite of gusty weather at both ends of the flight. The boarding for both flights was reasonably short and efficient. As far as comfort goes, you don't expect that at Spirit unless you pay extra and we won't just for that. Crew did their jobs well (but see dislikes). We received timely information from the deck crew as well."
Cons: "There were unnecessary and lame attempts at humor by both boarding clerks and on-board attendants. If you think you are a stand-up comedian, seek a different career path. I know others may find it amusing and I understand the need for finding distractions from routine, but it can distract from useful information, especially during boarding. NOTE: some people do funny by nature, but it is not a universal talent. When it's natural, it's a great good, but if not..... Spirit also requires a constant sales pitch for their credit card at the end of every flight that becomes irritating and I'm sure is not pleasant for the crew, either."
Pros: "The departure and arrival times were the only reason I chose this airline."
Cons: "I don't care for all of the additional fees such as seating and baggage, and then trying to charge me more because the website didn't work and I had to call their help line. Upon arrival only one of 4 kiosks worked and the staff told us it would cost extra to check in at the counter, so we waited in an unnecessary line with everyone else. When we boarded there was trouble with someone's ticket so they pulled the last 6 of us off to scan our tickets again. The seats and tray tables were in poor condition with noticeable wear and coming apart in multiple places."
Pros: "I paid twice as much to check bags as I do on other airlines. It costed me a total of $94 to check one bag to and from. Also the customer service was poor. It took forever to claim my luggage because the flight attendants told me an incorrect carousel number. I was on a wild goose in the airport and because of this I obviously don't feel it was worth the extra money checking bags. Also I didn't like that I had to become an online member only to save ten bucks on my returning checked luggage. Don't waste your money!"
Pros: "This flight was canceled because the AC didn't work. I rescheduled for the next day (after being on hold for at least 20 min), but was almost charged a rescheduling fee of more than $100. I am disappointed to be away from home still, but am more concerned with how disorganized they were during this process. It took them hours to decide to cancel the flight, and once they did still more time to clarify where people should go and what the next steps should be. People were left in a line of at least 100 people, but only attended to 2 at a time. No one was directed to call Spirit, even though it would obviously be the most efficient way to get the line moving. Yes, machinery goes wrong, but this should not get in the way of customer service."

Cons: "The say they are the home of the "bare fare" like it's a good thing. What they mean is, by the time you pay for a lite checked bag or for a single carry on you'll be paying just as much as any of their competitors. And forget about getting any type of snack or refreshments. That is unless you Want to pay out the nose for the grossest drink selection I've ever seen. No entertainment options at all, staff was barely attentive, seats were dirty with no comfort amenities. They were as bad as you can expect from a bargain airline, and not actually cheaper once you include the ridiculous baggage charges."
Pros: "For the most part everybody were professional and friendly . Except for one customer service rep in The New Orleans airport. We always arrived on time to our destination"
Cons: "There are fees for everything. I checked in my carry because I was going to have to pay anyway so did not have to lug it around. Unfortunately it did not make it with me. The clothes I was wearing to travel in was not for New Orleans weather. I had to use some of my vacation money to buy clothes. I'm hoping I get reimbursed for the inconvenience. Luckily the young lady that helped us was efficient and friendly. Lastly the customer service Rep in new Orleans was extremely rude bordering hostile. Auro Bonilla. I asked her for her name and she tried to spell it in Spanish after repeatedly asking for her name because she would not give it up. I can assume she tried to spell it out in Spanish hoping hoping I would not understand and spell it wrong. Luckily a friendly manager Ashley came to assist and assured me she would speak to Aura I am hoping this woman no longer works with customers and maybe somewhere in the back."
Cons: "On the day we were supposed to leave Spirit needed to cancel our flight due to weather conditions. We checked online an there weren't any warning about the weather. They were very unhelpful about placing us on another flight. After 40 minutes, they placed us on a flight the next day but also gave us the option of a full refund in case we found another flight. Luckily United Airlines had flight out (2 hours after the Spirit flight) to New Orleans. We booked the new tickets and got our full refund from Spirit."
Pros: "I liked the price of the ticket. It was a great deal for a relatively short flight from New Orleans to Atlanta. I liked that you knew up front what was and was not covered by the ticket price. There was actually better leg room than I thought there would be."
Cons: "The seats seemed smaller than most airlines' coach seats. The seats were also a little harder with what seemed like a thin cushion. It was not possible to put a magazine or bottle of water in any kind of holder on the back of the seat immediately in front of me b/c there were only elastic cords holding the safety cards and other airline items in the cords (and no bottle or water or magazine could be put in that). I wanted to go back in after I printed my boarding pass so that I could add a bag, but was not able to do that; I understand why that was the case. I only wish I had realized before the last minute to leave for the airport that I was going to need to pay for a bag if I wanted to bring more items with me. The flight was delayed at least 30 minutes so that a light bulb could be changed on a piece of equipment in the cockpit."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, constantly checked in and no time was given as to when the flight would depart. I left to get food and I was assured the plane wouldn't be there or board in the time I took to get food. It had been an hour and a half of delays at that point. Went to grab a bite and came back and the doors to board were closed, and was given lackluster help to resolve the situation. Not one call was given for my name over a loud speaker, meanwhile every other airline was calling passengers who were required for their respective flights. I ended up leaving the gate and was met with a terrible attitude considering the situation, and I proceeded to purchase a ticket with another airline and took said flight. It was a terrible travel day to say the least and spirit made it that much more difficult and ended up costing me a lot of money."
Cons: "Just about everything! Pilot was 2 hours late,which was known,but we boarded on time.Air conditioning broken,again known,but repairs delayed for unknown reasons. Spirit's response to passenger discomfort,we all got a sip,not a glass,a sip of water! Once we got going we discovered that the rear of the plane had its own unusual design feature - - - an aisle facing toilet. I will not delve into the problem but try to imagine what 6 hours of togetherness includes. Still the same rigid seats,silly dropdown tables and outrageous baggage charges. We will not fly this airline again."
Cons: "The plane didn't take off. I found out that the same flight was cancelled yesterday for the same mechanical reasons. They should be more staffed to help with situations like these."
Cons: "The flight was delayed. They changed the gate 3 times AND took a very long time getting us to the gate. also, they charged a lot of money ffor my bags unnecessarily."
Cons: "There is no reason to keep people waiting for 5 hours, only to then cancel the flight. That flight arrived from Atlanta and was obviously working just fine and then the excuse was a "mechanical issue and paperwork" - we all know that paperwork really means "Scheduling issues" - had we all known that the flight would be cancelled, we could have just booked a flight on another airline with other connecting flights to Vegas. Some people, like myself, have important things happening (like for instance, open-heart surgery) and need to be at the destination at the expected time. Obviously things happen and there are delays due to weather, etc., ---i'm not angry about initial delays. But to keep us for so many hours once that plane arrived without saying a single word about what was going on (unless people directly asked) is poor customer service."
Pros: "I liked how cheap it was! I also thought it was a very clean plane and the staff was all very friendly. It was a short flight and had fantastic air circulation, I've been on some stuffy flights before and they are not fun, this one was great though."
Cons: "Having to pay for every little thing including a carry on. I ended up just bringing a personal item, but if you are staying somewhere for longer than a couple days spirit gets more expensive than other airlines."
Cons: "My flight was cancelled while I was on the shuttle on the way to the airport so that was not very convenient for me."
Pros: "Since both carryons and checked bags cost money with Spirit (a smaller personal item such as a backpack is free), a lot less people bring large carryons, since (I'm assuming) they can just check an even larger bag at roughly equivalent cost. This makes boarding and getting off much faster, and the baggage compartments above the seats aren't nearly as full. Also, since food/drink aren't complementary, the staff aren't constantly carting stuff up and down the aisle, so you're not as liable to get your feet run over/have to move if you have an aisle seat. Food and drink are reasonably priced (I got coffee for $2 with unlimited refills) so the fact that you have to pay for food and drink aren't really a big issue. All in all, not a bad deal at $250 for a round trip 2.5hr flight."
Cons: "Basic low fare seats don't have enough leg room for a 6' 4" dude. Seats should also be taller and/or have adjustable headrests to accommodate taller people trying to sleep. I'll probably pay the $40 upcharge next time and sit near the emergency doors."
Cons: "Do not understand their business model. Spoke to numerous people coming and going and everyone was upset about something. All of the hidden costs were the most mentioned along with frequent flight delays. Never fly Spirit with a connection! But it all trickles down. Because their luggage size and weight standards are less than the industry standards [Scam] and the attending charges check in is at a snails pace. Took us 30 minutes to check in with no line because one person was unpacking their bag to get under weight charge. Also since they are dealing with irritable and angry customers all day long the employees attitudes are terrible. The most common remark I heard, and I concur, was I will never fly this airline again. This is the part that leads to my confusion of the overall business model. At some point you run out of first time customers."
Cons: "Where to start...... the fact that you offer the lowest prices in the market does not make up for all of the charges you tack on to the flight usually unbeknownst to the passenger. You know full well that people do not read small print and it is disgusting to take advantage of lower income passengers looking for a good deal by asking people to pay to check in?!?! That is so rude an unheard of, let alone the fees for bags. You make it cheaper for someone to pay to check a bag before they get there, but then when I got there I realized that I could have carried on a much larger bag. The seats on my outgoing flight were incredibly small. I am 6ft tall and there are a large number of people as tall as or taller than me and when I was sitting fully upright my knees were touching the other seat so I can't imagine how a taller person could fit. You should put a disclaimer that you practice prejudice against tall people. I have never been on a plane where they have poster advertisements, and the one on my plane was for what looks like a strip club, which is just so low and trashy of you. What really put the cherry on top of this repulsive experience is when you advertised for a CREDIT CARD YOU FILTHY CHEAP JERKS at 9:30 pm after we had been delayed an hour and people were trying to sleep. You had us trapped in a confined space in the air and you held us captive while you sold us a credit card. Also, again, you KNOW your clientele are lower income people and you are taking advantage of them. We all KNOW that credit cards are a huge problem in a lot of people's finances and you are knowingly taking advantage of that. Last thing. Water is a human right and even the flight attendant was incredibly embarrassed to have to ask a thirsty passenger to pay for WATER. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER take a Spirit airline flight again in my entire life and I will be openly advertising what an awful, disgusting airline you are. I will also be doing research into what other companies are affiliated with your airline and I will be boycotting them as well."
