Pros: "Pumpkin soup instead of a heavy entree was welcome and tasty. Breakfast yogurt portion was generous, the granola less so. Accompaniments were good. Butter was not ice cold, thank goodness."
Cons: "Inbelievably chaotic boarding process for Kili to Dar leg. No boarding lanes so had to fight through the crowd. Was able to observe cleaning process at Dar stop, which was cursory and am sure there was no cleaning of seats of those who boarded at Kili."

The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Unfortunately, the French issued a year ago the following rule: to enter France, the foreign passport must not expire at least 3 months after the return date. British Airways let us fly to London, explaining this to us, how it would be on us if there were problems further down, and that we would have to get our luggage in London. We chose to fly thinking it would be OK, we had listened to an online person who had had the same problem and the French later told him they would have let him in, also I am myself a dual citizen of France and the US, plus I am autistic, an invisible disability (in my case) that makes it impossible for me to travel alone. I usually do not even say it since not much is understood -by those who do not have it- on how to accommodate it However in London BA did not allow my partner to go on. Due to the fact yesterday was Easter Monday, the American consulate in London was closed. We have spent the night in a nearby motel and now, the next day, I am waiting alone back at the airport with our 2 large suitcases while my partner is at the American consulate. We are poor, do not have phone, currency or charger for England, and I do not do well with stress, so it is difficult. Now we cannot easily reach one another. We hope to be able to fly on a standby basis (that's what BA told us we could hopefully do) later today. Sorry for this long letter, I hope it does not bore whoever reads it (if it is even read :). Cons: "The phone, ground and flight crew, though impeccably polite at every turn, passed me from phone to service desk to gate for answers to questions about itinerary changes and seating upgrade until I just gave up. I tried changing my return flight to leave from London- that is, simply dropping the Newcastle/London leg, but went back and forth several times between you and the airline- then simply gave up, instead travelling back to Newcastle to then fly back to London. I then tried to change my seating assignment and the desk agent was unable to give any information about the cost of an upgrade. I finally found out that upgrades are to the cabin, not the seat so just stayed with my middle seat in coach for the 8.5 hour flight. It was puzzling that these issues were so impossible to resolve."

They said this was because the plane was already full with others' luggage and could not handle my bag for safety. Had to shove my things in a Tesco carrier bag and in my daughters small backpack on wheels. The backpack broke later as it was not made to carry more than a few books. And to top it off, the suitcase I was made to check never made it on my connecting flight to Chicago. I am still waiting for it to be delivered 36 hours later. This suitcase is virtually empty. Well, it's actually carrying a pair of sunglasses and my phone charger. totally inconvenienced and the crew saved the plane from being dangerously overloaded by an empty suitcase. Absolute nonsense."

I understand this happens, but for the inconvenience BA should give some sort of compensation. After the long wait we were starving, but they ran out of all of the food choices. We were scheduled to arrive at 16:30 but ended up arriving after 22:00. this wasted our first night of our vacation in Rome. There was one passenger in particular who was yelling, swearing and causing a scene because of the flight delay. His rude behavior was rewarded with an upgrade to first class. The message this sends to your passsengers is that we should all be loud and obnoxious when problems arise. I was not impressed with my first experience with BA."

They 'allowed' us to leave the airport nine hours after we got there but unfortunately there were no trains, planes or buses going to Milan until midnight. After we searched for two hours to get to Milan we found one but had to spend nine hundred pounds to get a flight with another airline to get to my friends wedding. They lost our bags so we had to borrow clothes for the wedding from friends which was so embarrassing! We then continued our trip and they still have not returned our bags seven days into what was going to be the holiday of a lifetime. Not only have they ruined the trip for us both, they have cost us a bomb as we have had to buy clothes as we go."

A simple sigh on the door was all it needed."

Just a couple pounds over the 50lbs and you get screwed with a $100 fee. There is very little AC in the airport and very few outlets so if you have to wait for a flight make sure to charge your devices prior to getting to the airport. WiFi on this an all other American Airlines flights I've recently taken has been useless - almost impossible to use."
