Cons: "Many groups were not seated together. at the airport I asked if my husband and I could be put together . One worker seemed interested in helping, but another rudely butted in and said there "were no seats together, the flight was full." Come to find out the flight was not full, there were whole rows not full. The groups near our seats rearranged ourselves so we could be by our family members, so it worked out. No thanks to the person at the terminal. Really long walk from the gate to the plane. No food on a cross country flight. Only a few cups of water/soda and a cookie. which unfortunately is typical now days. The lights were off the whole trip. The captain kept turning on the seat belt sign for the turbulence. Which there was a lot of. But then he would announce for everyone to go back to their seats. It wasn't huge bumps, just a little rough. and it woke everyone up by announcing it multiple times."

Cons: "I was traveling alone with my tired, cranky 13 month old. I get that it's no fun for anyone, including me, to have a tired toddler on the flight! But from the moment we boarded the flight attendant was unfriendly and unhelpful. I asked for help putting a heavy bag in the overhead compartment. She half-heartedly tried and then told me it "didn't fit". By simply turning it on its side, I was able to easily make it fit, but it was uncomfortable for me to have to do so while also holding my baby! The flight attendant then commented that I couldn't have the child in a carrier during the flight (something I am well aware of!). She also neglected to offer us a snack later on. Overall, she was rude and inconsiderate and made a difficult trip more unpleasant."

Cons: "I purchased the earliest flight of the day from Vegas to Los Angeles so I could be in LA by 11am so I could attend the 1pm Dodger game at dodger stadium... ( I specifically flew into lax for the game that I spent $100 on tickets for) well I arrived to LAS at 5am by 515am I received my first notification that my flight wouldn't be leaving until 1030am.... I was a little annoyed but hey I'm still going to make it to my game, ( I just needed to let my ride know who's lives 3 hours away from LA that my flight was going to be 3 hours late not to rush) well about an hour later I got another notification that my flight was now being pushed back to 230pm.... at this point I have no choice but to look for another flight.... I found another flight on Southwest leaving Las at 1210pm arriving in lax at 120pm... perfect I can still make my game... That flight was boarding on time... ran into some hiccups on the runway... arrive to lax at 130pm... not a problem can still make my game... sat on the runway at lax until 335.... needless to say I missed the game... while in the air I received another text that my American airline flights was now pushed back to 530pm... mind you my day started at 5am on Las Vegas to catch a flight out at 720am.... Now had I not found that other flight I would have been sitting around Vegas airport for over 12 hours.... I was not a happy flier today, specially because the actual flight is normally no more than 45 minutes start to finish... I could have rented a car and drove... would have been cheaper and I would have made it to my game ...."

Pros: "The PWM airport, ALMOST makes air travel tolerable. Great little airport. Crew was pleasant, Seemed to enjoy their work. That, alone makes a huge difference in an industry that truly doesn't put customer service anywhere NEAR the top of the priority list."

Cons: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

Pros: "The comfort and ease were perfect and they were very helpful and accommodating with my bringing my guitar on board. The food was fairly mediocre in business class although the croissant was good. The stewardess who waited on business class was a bit unfriendly but her service was fine I would definitely fly with avianca again. Overall I had a very good experience."

Cons: "Flight was good until, after arriving 30 minutes early to PWM, our plane had to wait about that much time for our gate to open. Once pulling to the gate we waited another 15 minutes for someone to figure out the walkway and open the door tom the plane-- all with no communication from the crew."

Cons: "i decided to purchase a separate direct flight at a different time instead of changing my flight, only to be informed later when i tried to hop on the back end of my original flight, that they had canceled my ticket since i hadnt boarded on the front end of that flight. i had spoken to a customer service rep about my option before purchasing the extra ticket, and she did not mention that this would be an issue. then i had to pay extra to get back on my original flight."

Pros: "American Airlines is my favorite Airlines to fly. There is a little more leg room and the seats are a little wider. The staff is very professional and courteous."

Cons: "My flight date was changed because of a medical issue with my grandson, and I was outraged by the amount of the change fee."

Pros: "Boarding was smooth. Flight was on time. Some weather en route but pilot was able to avoid the turbulence. Overall a good flight."
Cons: "Unrelated to the flight- but immigration and customs in Grand Cayman was slow. 200+ people arrived on this plane and there ware 4 immigration agents although they had more stations. We spent about a half hour in line in each- immigration and then customs. Rental cars is another situation to be aware of regarding insurance."

Cons: "Uncomfortable; charged $50 for checking bags only to see them checked for others for free at the gate. Seat selection on our three flights that day were ignored on 2 of tge floghts."

Cons: "My flight out of Portland was canceled and it took hours to rebook. I had to fly American Airline to Washington DCA where I roamed the airport at 9pm looking for someone from United. The crew in Portland ME told me the gate person would have a hotel for me.... The baggage crew had to help me."

Cons: "As stated above, we never made it to Liberia (where we had family waiting for us). We had to fly first to Panama and then to San Jose and figure out a new rental car situation, as we already had one booked in Liberia."

Cons: "I only made it as far as Chicago, and my bag was fairly comprehensively lost as I did so"

Cons: "After being so delayed on our first flight from San Francisco, I was nervous about getting to our connecting flight in Houston. We were assured by the flight attendant that when a flight is delayed and has connections, they communicate that to the gates and we would be fine. It was the OPPOSITE of fine. We landed with 10 minutes until the flight to Costa Rica left and they let all of us who were connecting deplane first, only to run full speed to a gate who’s plane left 10 minutes EARLY and decided that it was not going to wait for the 12+ passenagers who had no control of the delayed flight. My fiancé and I were flying to our WEDDING. So now I’m sitting here in Houston for a full 24 hours waiting for the next flight to take me to my wedding. The only “accommodation” united airlines gave us was a hotel. No compensation for the night we paid for at our resort in Costa Rica that we are missing, no upgrades to a better class on our new flight and no reassurance on how terrible they feel for this giant and heartbreaking inconvenience. I am furious."

Cons: "JUST BEFORE BOARDING THOSE OF US PASSENGERS NOT ALREADY BOARDED WERE TOLD WE COULD NOT BRING OUR CARRY ONS WITH US AS THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO STOW THEM OVERHEAD. SO WE WERE TOLD TO SEND THEM DIRECTLY TO OUR FINAL DESTINATION. WHEN I BOARDED THE PLANE I COUNTED 7 OVERHEAD STORAGE BINS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE TO MY AISLE WHERE I WAS SEATED WERE NOT FILLED AND THERE WERE SEVERAL SUCH BINS ON MY SIDE OF THE AISLE (I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO COUNT THEM BEFORE I SAT DOWN). I ASKED AN ATTENDANT WHY THIS WAS SO GIVEN WE WERE TOLD THE BINS WERE FILLED JUST AS WE BOARDING FROM THE DEPARTURE AREA. SHE WAS POLITE AND SAID SHE WASN'T SURE ABOUT WHO MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE TERMINAL BUT THAT IN ANY EVENT MY CARRY ON WOULD ARRIVE SAFE AND SOUND IN VANCOUVER - IT DID BUT WITH MY BOOK FOOD SNACK WHICH i HAD INTENDED TO USE WHILE ON MY WAY TO CHI. AND VAN."

Cons: "Being separated from my wife in seating when we booked before others that we talked to!"

Pros: "The flight attendants. Especially Meagan and Heather. Amber was a,sweetheart too. I had the same attendants 3 out of 4 of my flights that weekend. So cool. When they realized it was me again they spoiled me rotten. So good I feel like unless I have those 3 as my attendants I won't fly United again"

United said it was a TSA thing while TSA said it was at the prerogative of the airline. Why did this happen? So much for TSA Pre or Global Access."

Cons: "The crew, on the flight, were very short and rude. Acted like it was a inconvenience to them to even be there. I was very disappointed. I am a ex airline employee, and it hurts my heart when I see staff treat people with disinterest. So, over all I was very disappointed."

After final arrival time came and went with no plane or even announcement, I had to go back through security to front desk to find a rep and remind United that they had forgotten about us. They handed us off to the Delta counter with no apology (except the "new girl" apologized)"

Airline profits are at a peak yet very little is flowing back to improve the flying experience."

Cons: "No agent to check in when I arrived at airport. Only at gate. No advance check in or advance seating. Allowed passengers to have more than 2 bags. Flight was late. No help getting to next gate or holding aircraft. Absolutely uncomfortable sitting."

Cons: "Had to purchase new flight day of, as I was told of flight cancellation 5 hours before leaving to the airport. I then had to spend $500 on a new flight, and one of the connections refused to let me on the plane. Stil not home."

On my way to the airport in Portland I got a text from United that my flight to Newark had been cancelled and there was no way to fly me out of Portland to San Diego that day. My sister had to drive me to Boston so I could catch a flight to San Francisco, which took 6.5 hours because it flew over most of Canada for some reason AND had three babies that cried from start to finish. Oh and because I was a late addition, I had a middle seat. The second I turned my phone on after we landed I had another yet another text from United saying that my connection to San Diego had been delayed three hours and wouldn't take off until 11:15 pm."

Cons: "Tried to get assistance at the United desk where my gate was located at and they could not answer any of my questions and would not assist me or many others who had the same issues."

Cons: "I paid for the internet access and it says all flight, but that's not true, it doesn't cover the whole flight."

Cons: "The airplane was cramped, legroom nonexistent (and I'm small and skinny). The plane was delayed and hot. The ride was bumpy. The crew was slow. I thought United was a premier carrier. I've had better experiences with Frontier and Spirit recently."

Cons: "Payed to upgrade seat was not comfortable and person next to me kept moving onto my side. Flight was 2 hours late so I missed my connection and had a terrible time to find a flight home. United staff was not helpful and kept telling me to go somewhere else for help. No food was served only tiny packet of way too spicy pretzels. Sat on the runway for an hour. Flight crew said 15 min and it was much longer. Crew seemed to be really confused."
