Pros: If I hadn’t had any difficulties, I would rate everything as good. But since the customer service I received at my initial location (ATL) was lacking, it diminished the rest of my travel w/ Jet Blue.

Cons: Let me preface this by saying that prior to this experience I generally though highly of JetBlue. To change my opinion of them, JetBlue had to monumentally screw up, which they did. This was the worst experience I have had on any airline, ever. Why I am mad: - I had a 4.5 hour delay due to maintenance that caused me to miss a flight to India. The 4.5 delay was on a 50 minute flight from Portland, ME to JFK. I nearly could have driven faster than JetBlue got me to New York. - Because of my missed flight to India, I missed day 1 of a two day wedding of which I am a wedding party member - In order to get to India in time for day 2, I had to book a new flight on a different airline for an additional $1000, on top of what I paid for my original flight to India - I was originally told by JetBlue in Portland, ME that they would offer me a reimbursement for the Portland flight, a hotel in NYC, and a travel credit for the trouble. While not totally satisfying since I was still going to miss a day of the wedding, I thought this to be a fair enough offer. - However, at the JetBlue desk in JFK, they completely reversed course. I was told that all they could offer me $100 travel credit. No reimbursement for Portland flight. No compensation for the extra $1,000 flight I had to book. And best of all, no hotel in New York, I was stranded at JFK for the night. I spoke with a supervisor at the desk who repeatadely told me that JetBlue had done their job in getting me to JFK and that they were not responsible for anything after I arrived to JFK. A 4.5 hour delay on a 50 minute flight is bad. Being steadfastly unwilling to compensate for missed flights is worse. And stranding me in JFK after telling me they would offer me a hotel room is just plain unacceptable. My family will be cancelling their JetBlue credit cards and we will look elsewhere for flights in the future.

Pros: Flight from SEattle to Atlanta delayed due to mechanical problems for 6 hrs. Once we got to Atlanta there were no flights connecting to Argentina until the following night at 10 pm. Delta did put us up in a hotel but with no food vouchers or any upgrades on delayed flight the next day. Flight attendants and crew were curteous.
Cons: Fairly small seats and food isn't very good (as seems to be standard these days with most airlines). In flight music is very limited. Movie choices ok. No consideration to upgrade to first class or financial compensation have to be delayed a whole day for a long flight to Argentina.

Cons: The flight and the entire process with American was just fine. What bothered me most was the rude treatment from security staff in Philadelphia. Compared to security staff overseas, the U.S. rates the lowest of the 55+ countries I've visited. It does not reflect badly on American Airlines, but it does give travelers a bad lasting impression. As an American, I'm embarrassed by their behavior.

Cons: AA has nine boarding groups, which queue up in two lanes. Each of the two lanes hold about 5 people, at most. This is ridiculous. It creates enormous crowds of people jockeying to be near the tiny lanes for when their number is called 5 or 10 minutes down the line. AA needs to reduce the number of boarding groups, lengthen the lanes, and provide more of them. No other airline boards this way. That's because this boarding method is stupid. Unsurprisingly, our plane took off late because they couldn't get everyone boarded in time.

Cons: Everything else. American cancelled my first flight from MSP to ORD. And when I got to Chicago, it cancelled my next flight to Nashville. The flight I managed to get on departed two hours late. There was no explanation for each of these cancellations/delays. There was virtually zero inclement weather anywhere, save for most of the country’s temperature being nearly equivalent to the surface of Neptune. And, the surly, clueless Chicago-based gate agent was the coupe de grace in my search for a reasonable explanation after which I waited impatiently for this episode to conclude. American get your act together.

Cons: These planes feel like they are made of Legos. They are absurdly tiny and uncomfortable (and I am a small woman). Hot and stinky when boarding and no room for you or your carry on luggage. The days of glamorous air travel seem very far away.

Pros: The flight attendant was fantastic. Very friendly, very helpful, checking on all the passengers. He even loaned his phone charger to one passenger. It was a full flight and he was working hard, but had a smile on his face the entire time. Give him a raise!
Cons: the airplane was absolutely freezing. It was so cold, you could actually see the air blowing (like in winter). There's no need for that. Somehow European airlines manage not to freeze out all their passengers. It was less than a two hour flight but felt like an eternity because it was so uncomfortable. Seat size - this is absolutely the smallest it can/should go. I am pretty skinny, but even I'm running out of room and the seat backs could be made a bit more comfortable. Not only is there almost no recline, but the way they are constructed - they actually push my head forward - not made for short people.

Pros: The PWM airport, ALMOST makes air travel tolerable. Great little airport. Crew was pleasant, Seemed to enjoy their work. That, alone makes a huge difference in an industry that truly doesn't put customer service anywhere NEAR the top of the priority list.

Cons: i decided to purchase a separate direct flight at a different time instead of changing my flight, only to be informed later when i tried to hop on the back end of my original flight, that they had canceled my ticket since i hadnt boarded on the front end of that flight. i had spoken to a customer service rep about my option before purchasing the extra ticket, and she did not mention that this would be an issue. then i had to pay extra to get back on my original flight.

Pros: I liked the comfortable seats.. The crew working for American Airlines are polite and nice. From the very time to get the boarding passes and my luggage handling and all the hospitality, am really looking forward to fly more on American Airlines.

Cons: Seeing as this flight was cancelled and we had to wait as two elderly people until 3pm the next day to get another flight and American Airlines would not compensate in anyway. I would say that we will never fly American Airlines again nor will my family. This was not the only delay or cancellation because of American either. We spent 48 hours traveling because of delays and cancellations and still American would do nothing for us. I'm 66 and my husband is 72 (who also has had back surgery for five slipped discs) and we had to sleep on concrete floors and had very limited money to buy food. It was by far the worst experience of my life and I would encourage everyone to not travel with them.

They delay flights regularly but there’s never any additional information...they just send you a text or email saying your flight is delayed, never tell you why, but they want you at the gate at the regular time...so you sit there for hours with No further communication and the gate agents never come to the gate to let you know what’s going on or what to expect because corporate has gotten stingy with regard to compensating folks even when THEY are to blame for the delay. Two trips in a row, two weeks apart, they’ve done the same thing to us. I appreciate the low fares, but I’ve just about decided I’d rather pay more for good customer service because theirs just sucks.

Cons: I cancelled this flight and somehow it doesn’t show in your records and now I cant find the cancellation.. I am not in Orlando.. last time I will use Kayak.

Cons: Worst plane trip. I am a bigger girl, and I could not even buckle my seat belt due to the size of the chair. I have never had this issue on any other plane flight. It was incredibly noisy, and rough ride. I will not travel again.

Pros: Everything was great during the flight but...
Cons: We were delayed over 7 hours, with only a $50 dollar future airline credit and an $8 meal voucher. That's not nearly enough for that kind of headache. It was 2 am before we arrived at our hotel.

Pros: That fact that they did not suply even one free bottle or cup of water is awful. I was very thirsty but did not get a drink because they chaged $2.00 for one bottle of water, and the is just plain wrong.

Pros: Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Plane was very clean and more spacious than any other airline coach seats. We departed on time and arrived 15 minutes early at our destination. Flight price was hundreds of dollars cheaper and the only airline which offered non-stop service from nyc to Knoxville, TN.

Cons: Nothing that the crew could have fixed. Delay due to previous plane coming in as well as too much oil on the plane so it took about 1.5 extra hours to finally begin taxing. A little frustrating to arrive so late but nothing they could have done. They handled it well and had positive attitudes

Cons: JUST BEFORE BOARDING THOSE OF US PASSENGERS NOT ALREADY BOARDED WERE TOLD WE COULD NOT BRING OUR CARRY ONS WITH US AS THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO STOW THEM OVERHEAD. SO WE WERE TOLD TO SEND THEM DIRECTLY TO OUR FINAL DESTINATION. WHEN I BOARDED THE PLANE I COUNTED 7 OVERHEAD STORAGE BINS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE TO MY AISLE WHERE I WAS SEATED WERE NOT FILLED AND THERE WERE SEVERAL SUCH BINS ON MY SIDE OF THE AISLE (I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO COUNT THEM BEFORE I SAT DOWN). I ASKED AN ATTENDANT WHY THIS WAS SO GIVEN WE WERE TOLD THE BINS WERE FILLED JUST AS WE BOARDING FROM THE DEPARTURE AREA. SHE WAS POLITE AND SAID SHE WASN'T SURE ABOUT WHO MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE TERMINAL BUT THAT IN ANY EVENT MY CARRY ON WOULD ARRIVE SAFE AND SOUND IN VANCOUVER - IT DID BUT WITH MY BOOK FOOD SNACK WHICH i HAD INTENDED TO USE WHILE ON MY WAY TO CHI. AND VAN.

When they realized it was me again they spoiled me rotten. So good I feel like unless I have those 3 as my attendants I won't fly United again

Cons: The plane was almost unbearably hot prior to departure. We had to wait in the plane for ~25min due to an issue with the plane, and everyone was fanning themselves down. I actually was worried about the health of some of the older passengers on the plane. Bad experience overall.

Cons: United should explain why they wanted to create the Basic Economy Category. What is the benefit for the airlines? I feel that they just took the lowest price they always offered and took away the flexibility we had.

Cons: I HATED that our flight was delayed. Not even delayed once or twice, but a total of 6 times?! thats just ridiculous. Sitting in the airport for over 6 hours should NEVER be tolerated.

Cons: It took a long time to hook up to the jetway once we taxied in to EWR. Pilot even commented that he didn't know what the heck she was doing out there.

Cons: We had confirmed reservations to go visit my daughter and son in law in Nashville. We had purchased tickets to see a concert in Nashville. We missed the concert and a full day of planned activities. We were bumped off the flight although we had confirmed reservations. So we decided to drive and incurred hotel charges. We will be driving back home and will incur hotel charges on the way home. We had to pay for gas and wear and tear on our car. This has been an awful experience.

Pros: Honestly I just tried to sleep.
Cons: What got me was the 2ND flight where a very large lady who pulled out three different seat belt extenders out of her purse was sat next to me. I could serious feel her sweat on my leg the whole ride. If a seat belt extender is need then she should have had to buy two seats.

Pros: I liked when Delta stepped up and had us booked on one of their flights within seconds, after United abandoned us at their own terminal.
Cons: Flight delayed 3 times due to maintenance, total of 5 hours. After final arrival time came and went with no plane or even announcement, I had to go back through security to front desk to find a rep and remind United that they had forgotten about us. They handed us off to the Delta counter with no apology (except the "new girl" apologized)

Pros: It was a smaller plane. But it went smooth. The flight was great and we were delayed but arrived like 15 minutes after our original time.
Cons: Nothing really, security lines were long but that wasn't a shocker.

Pros: Flight delayed, had to check carry on Bag and didn't receive it for over 30 mins after flight

Pros: Comfy enough. Wider than the first plane.
Cons: Crew was a little short temperee but the plane was over a half hour late. Also, somewhere between Tucson and Nashville they played football with my suitcase and I ended up with broken gifts and a suitcase full of cookies from where thr damn container broke.

Pros: The associate at the desk confused my flight for the next flight. I was given the wrong information and I watched my plane depart from the gate. Upon realizing that employees of that gate had left, and we're not coming back, I had to ask passing personnel about my flight to find that it left already and that I had already been rebooked without being notified. I now had to fly from Houston to Chicago to Nashville. The new flight boarded almost 2 hours later than expected, and upon landing in Chicago, I had already missed my connecting flight to Nashville by 35 minutes apparently. Unacceptable.

Cons: Kayak did not provide me with confirming email for flight in either direction and I missed my first flight to LA from Portland This is the second time I was not contacted via email from Kayak on flight reservations

Cons: People took my seat, family in front of me had tv blaring the entire time and flight attendants did nothing, child next to me threw up on me since there were NO bags in the seats. Took 45 minutes to get luggage. Never again!! And no free wifi?? $7.99 is ridiculous when most other airlines give it for free.

Cons: it took me three days to get home. the first plane had a mechanical error. the second flight united booked me on was over booked so i didnt get a seat. the third flight they tried to send me on was also over booked. luckily someone volunteered to give up their seat.

Pros: We stood in line forever to then be told the clerk couldn't ch we ck us in. When we tried the kiosk it didn’t work. Long story short we missed our flight due to their poor organization of the line and crowd.
Cons: The confusion caused by lack of direction from the staff.

Pros: The Flight Attendant who was in the back of the place was awesome and very caring.
Cons: Someone was sitting in my seats and instead of making him move they made us move and tried splitting up my wife and 6 month old child about 4 rows apart. The air started blowing very hot air about halfway through the flight. Everyone was sweating and it was better to just turn the air off completely then keep it on. They tried taking care of it which helped for 5 minutes and then it started blowing hot again. Also the WiFi would kick you off after about 30 seconds and then make you go through a login that takes like 60 seconds. Needless to say... this was the first time I haven't flown Southwest in years... and with the kind of experience it's no wonder why it won't happen again any time soon.

But thes days, the basic ticket costs are high and increasing despite ala Carter pricing. The flights are always full and the number of flights are down. Airline profits are at a peak yet very little is flowing back to improve the flying experience.
