Meeting a friend at Heathrow was difficult as there are many terminals so far apart. Access to the train was great and an easy way to get to the downtown area.

Leave plenty of time if connecting in London as most connecting flights are in a different terminal which requires a bus or tram ride. Also if you’re not at the gate 30 minutes ahead they will not let you on the plane. Apparently this is a Heathrow not airline rule.
