The plane pushed back from the gate on time. However, it stopped on the ramp, and we waited for over 20 minutes before the aircraft pulled back to the gate. Apparently, something of importance had to be removed from the aircraft by the gate agent. I found this to be odd. The delay was not significant, but I felt that whatever was on the aircraft that had to be taken off, should’ve been done before we pushed back from the gate.
Smooth boarding process. Early departure, smooth flight, early arrival. The entertainment package has very good recent movie options. The flight crew were friendly and professional.
My suitcase was destroyed. The top part where the handle is is completed broken. And unusable now.
Since when do I have to pay for my checked bag? I have a United Explorer mileage plus silver card and I was charged for my checked bags. This also is an international flight. So I would like an explanation to be clear before I choose an airline please?
Michael, our FA was very attentive, even finding me a chocolate brownie from economy class when the dessert selections were all dairy based. ( intolerant, not allergic so don’t usually need to order dairy free)
I had a bad experience with the security at IAH and felt like a sardine on all 4 legs of my journey.
I don’t understand the purpose of the orange “priority” tag on my bag. This tagged, my bag is last or near to the last bag to come down the carousel at IAH.
Plane 3 hours late. Missed connection. No help from gate staff. App horrible. Lost connection repeatedly. No service desk. Finally got help from young girl driving cart.
Oh my gosh, I loved my experience with United! they made me want to travel more often.
Everything was good. Flight was on time, luggage pickup was quick. The staff were great. Could not ask for anything more.
Late departure. When the flight arrived in Medellin the plane sat at the gate for 20 minutes waiting for a bus for us to get off the plane.
i think the flight was late because they were so strict about measuring everyone's personal items to try and charge them $119. It was really petty and made us late.
A few years ago long flights 6 hours or so used to have video screens and they offered ear phones. The food cart used to come and drinks. Now absolutely nothing. Avianca is as bad as Spirit Airlines. Avianca will now be my last choice when booking my next flight.
Terrible, We had to stay in Bogota for two days due to weather but the airline did not provide for the same day flight. Only two days later
Business class seats did not lie flat. There was only powdered milk for your coffee....in Business Class!! Food was good.
Boarding was somewhat confusing in that the wrong messages were being displayed at the gate. It was somewhat annoying that I got off one flight and straight onto another (from the same gate), but in between they re-checked my hand luggage and made me get rid of my water (which they charge for on the plane). I was sitting in their 'Plus' seating, but the leg room was still too small to be able to sit square. The food options on the flights are pretty cheap quality (but not price). They got me from 'A' to 'B' on-time and for a relatively good price, but the experience itself was below average.
So so, you feel like you have to pay for everything each time
COP 7,000 for a cup of mediocre coffee. I thought I was on Spirit Airlines for a minute. Otherwise the flight was fine. Nothing exceptional to report.
Overpriced checked bag price of $120 and they charge you for carryon if the size is not minimal of $120.
Be very careful of the initial low price because Avianca wil bill you for a carryon of $120 or a checked bag for $120. Also, be careful with connections because the customs entry process is slow and the connecting terminal is not close.
Flight was delayed a bit, but that was expected (and updated), so really not bad at all for the price. Could’ve used one less email asking me to upgrade my seat; otherwise no significant complaints
Easy boarding. Met expectations for a 2-3 hour flight. Early arrival at DFW caused a 39 minute delay on the tarmac in getting to our gate. 😏 overall, good flight.
My experience with Spirit went pretty much as expected. It's a no frills airline, and you get what you pay for. I don't require much, so I was grateful to have an inexpensive way to travel. It is sad to me that the gate agents and flight crew don't smile much or seem very friendly or helpful. They are competent and efficient, and that's really all I need.
It was fast but uncomfortable seats. Had to pay a bit extra not sure why? Maybe in selection of all my 4 tix together ? Just knew I had a balance before getting boarding pass online when departing from satx ? And flight was delayed..
Last minute 2-3 hr delay in flight schedule; no explanation Unexpected extra $52 charge What's the benefit of choosing a cheap airline if you trick people last minute and force them to pay extra last minute? Did not appreciate being cornered.
Most uncomfortable seating I have ever experienced. And they do not provide any beverage unless purchased. Water was 4.59 a bottle. Same for a soda. A cup of water should be free. I will never fly Spirit again.
Seats are uncomfortable and too close together. Also, you missed my connection in Vegas on the way back and I ended up sleeping in the airport, flying back to Burbank instead of LAX and I got home 12 hours late.
They are very particular about size of the bag. Mine is small bag and has wheels. Bag wheel edges are bit outside of the measurements bucket. They charged $99 as carryon bagage
Non-professional acting crew, Very uncomfortable seats…!! Very bad pricing with all the add-ons for seat choice, luggage fees, etc….soon you’ll charge extra for oxygen. The ticket price means Nothing because in the end, the actual amount i paid, i could have and will in the future continue to fly on a real airline…
For a round trip ticket costing US$460 extra, I did not get priority boarding, hence people took my overhead luggage space, the steward almost threatened me when I told him to remove the suitcase that was there. Airport staff in USA and Colombia, are NOT flexible or helpful when you pay extra, and look away or walk away when you want a correction. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: Ads say "wine and dine" when you pay extra, NOT AT ALL!!! you get ONE alcoholic drink, ONE soda, and as much popcorn and/or nuts as dinner on a long trip. MORE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: out of 4 legs on my trip ONLY TWO had WiFi, and there is NO movies nor magazines on board, so why do you ask about entertainment? ... If it was not for the fact that you are the only choice for trips to many destinations from Newark Airport, I would never fly with you! ... How about a refund for the extra money paid to make my trip bearable, was, in some ways worse than if I had just flew coach! ... YOU ARE BANKRUPT, DO BETTER, EARN RESPECT AND TRUST
