I booked my flight business class trip to Thailand with kayak, but my final leg from Seattle to Denver was not processed correctly though Kayak (according to Qatar Airways). As such my first class ticket for a three hour flight turned into a 9 hour flight from Seattle Anchorage to Denver economy middle seat and no one is willing to answer what happened or take responsibility!!
Pros: "The male steward was very nice"
Cons: "Flight was delayed on tarmac for 2 hours better communication"
Pros: "Friendly crew. Great movie selection through gogo inflight entertainment!"
Cons: "Seat cushions are too thin."
Pros: "Great on time too"
Cons: "Very happy"
Pros: "Took off a a little late still made it early! Flight attendants were very nice!"
Pros: "Very courteous staff and crew throughout both flights"
Cons: "Nothing. Two short hop flights"
Cons: "Two rows up from us, I kid threw up all over the center aisle as we were pulling away from the gate. We returned to the gate to allow a cleaning crew to board and clean. However, the cleaning job was rushed and left remnants of the throw up behind which smelled the whole 2.5 hour flight. It really felt unsanitary and unsafe being that it’s unknown what caused the child to get sick. It very well could have been a stomach virus and could have infected the people in rows around the incident due to the mediocre cleaning job. I understand that it’s important to keep flights on-time, especially for connecting flights, but the safety of the passengers and their health should ALWAYS be the #1 priority."
Pros: "The flight attendants were friendly and professional and took time for a little personal conversation."
Cons: "Boarded without breaking up main cabin, lost my place in line in the rush forward, once on board we’re delayed about 30 min - would have preferred to wait in lobby, crew nice, small plane in storm"
Cons: "I missed the flight"
Cons: "i wish Alaska would fly straight to Denver from Montana. I fly from Montana to Denver a lot and it ends up being a whole day of travel instead of a couple hour flight."
Pros: "It was a short flight. The overhead bins weren't overloaded."
Cons: "Boarding was a hassle. The flight was too crowded. The food was non-existent.. Seats were uncomfortable."
Cons: "Our flight was cancelled and nobody told us!!"
Pros: "Take-off and landing in these planes is great. The boarding process was quick and easy."
Cons: "No snack. If you know that the flight is going to be bumpy, maybe hand out a snack and drink as you board? Just a thought."
Cons: "Food and wine way over priced."
Pros: "Basically on time. I appreciated the Captain's extensive comments before flight about how it would be bumpy starting about mid-way and continuing to Portland."
Cons: "My seat was changed so I changed it to as close to front as possible; they changed it back so I was unable to sit near my 2 colleagues who I was traveling with. Alaska changed our return flight to 2 hours earlier so we missed part of the conference we (3) were attending. I called about this and the rep gave me a song and self congratulatory dance about how they were meeting my needs! We booked the flight a month in advance and they changed it 2 days before. Guess where my seat was on the new flight? Yep, all the way in the back away from my team."
Pros: "I'm a big fan of Alaska Airlines and their partner Horizon Airlines. I travelled from Edmonton to Denver via Seattle last night. All the staff if pleasant and treats you as a valued customer."
Pros: "Friendly staf. comfortable seats. And no charging for checknig my bags."
Pros: "Boarding was a breeze, crew communicated well, seats were comfortable, plane wasn't too hot or too cold"
Cons: "Had a problem with checking my baggage in anchorage which led to $300 being held from my account for 5 days. They refunded my baggage fee though"
Pros: "Crew was polite and accommodating."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed due to the pilot not being able to get there in time, announcement made after boarding that the airlines did not get the pilot there on time. Close connecting flight proved to close as the airlines called ahead to hold 3 separate flights into Montana, however our connecting flight left 8 minutes early! Courteously rebooked by the airlines for the following day was unacceptable. We were able to make a connecting flight to a different town and had to rent a car to drive 2 hrs to our original destination. First time flying with Alaska Airlines was not a great experience."
Pros: "Flight was hours late. No explanation. No offer to switch us to the Oakland flight. Kept the curtain open so we peons in coach could watch the flight attendants hold us up while they ostentatiously lifted first class's bags for them."
Cons: "Just get us where we're going close to on time. And don't even try to claim the delay had to do with the weather in SF. Even the Caotain admitted over the PA system that the weather in SF was beautiful, mild, and clear."
Pros: "Everything but…"
Cons: "You lost my backpack with $2000 worth of hiking gear that I will not be able to replace before I am supposed to leave on a trip. How could this happen?! This bag was full of all the material possessions in the world that matter to me."
Pros: "Friendly staff. Made up time after a mandatory tire change."
Cons: "Other passengers not listening to the staff."
Pros: "Boarding was quick and painless, and the crew was pleasant and friendly despite the early hour. The plane was pretty full, so being a slightly larger woman I felt a little claustrophobic, but it was a short flight so not bad at all. The coffee was not the best but the little cookies are always delicious, and as the flight was not even an hour there was no need for in flight entertainment, so I read on my tablet ad listened to music for the entirety of the flight."
Cons: "The coffee was a bit too strong and tasted burnt. But then again, I tend to be a bit of a coffee snob, being accustomed to the local fare in both the rogue valley and the Portland area."
Pros: "Safe flight"
Cons: "Late departure and very little feedback from ground crew as to what was happening."
Pros: "The crew was great. I am recovering from a fractured shoulder. The crew was so helpful."
Pros: "I loved how friendly the crew was"
Cons: "Completely satisfied"
Pros: "Flight crew was courteous."
Pros: "It was a short flight!"
Cons: "Despite no welcome, acknowledgment or greeting from the flight attendant, as he was focused on his phone, he was friendly during the flight. Very loud flight. And of course, the amount of space we are squished into is obscene, almost criminal."
Pros: "Almost everything. First time flying with Alaska Airlines thought the food would be better o thought the food would be better on such a long flight but it was enough to snack on until I got to Seattle great experience in between flights was able to get an earlier flight to Denver"
Cons: "Wish there was a little bit more offered for food but overall a fantastic experience mahalo"
Pros: "Just fine. Staff was helpful and actually very kind crew (stewardess) I don't recall her name but middle aged blond. Very nice."
Cons: "Charis could have more room and there was bad turbulence but what can be done about that? we arrived safe and sound and that was good."
Cons: "Service was amazing"
Cons: "very rough landing, delayed flight with little communication"
Pros: "Early flight, and short. I think I slept through it. Woke up sore, but eh I'm not surprised by that. I'm a giant and no one woke me up for anything so I was satisfied."
Pros: "The crew and captain were amazing and very apologetic!"
Cons: "I paid an extra $300 for preferred seating because I wanted the extra legroom to sleep. I'm over 6 feet so coach is very uncomfortable. My girlfriend and I got in our seats and 10 minutes later, a crew member walked back and asked us to get off the flight. We got off the flight and were met by police officer. Low and behold, the woman sitting next to us said that she believed we were intoxicated and feared for her safety. I am a police officer and my girlfriend is a nanny/preschool teacher. Not very threatening. The officer on the ground looked us over and asked us a few questions and determined we were not intoxicated and we were no threat to the other passengers. The airline asked us to get back on the flight and we would be sitting in coach because the woman adult children were now sitting in our seats. I told them to book us on another flight with the same seats that I PAID for or put us back in OUR seats on that same flight we just got kicked off of. We were escorted back onto the flight and the crew asked the woman's children to go back to their seats so we could have our seats back. They then asked us not to speak to the woman sitting next to us (which we never did to begin with!!!) and then told us we could have free food and drinks. The whole experience was insanely embarrassed and I can't believe that woman sitting next to us can get away with what she did. I am absolutely livid that they would ask us to get off the flight and then give our seats to the woman's ADULT children without vetting the situation and making the easy determination that we were NOT intoxicated. So embarrassing!!"
Pros: "My flight attendants were sooooo friendly. Also really enjoy the complimentary glass of wine!"
Pros: "Glad I discovered Alaska Airlines!"
Pros: "Leg room was great"
Cons: "The outside walk to the plane"
Pros: "It got cancelled due to 3 inch of snow. And I missed work in Denver because of it. Very inconvenient"
Cons: "I would like to not have it cancel"
Pros: "Flight was on-time (a rarity at my airport) and crew was very friendly and helpful."
Pros: "Offering price"
Cons: "Real price. Ridiculous after carry-on and other fees"
Cons: "This flight ended up being delayed because of an overhead bin door that wouldn't latch. I understand the rules, but it took 1.5 hours for the mechanic to arrive and assess the situation. Consequently, I missed my flight to Reno from Portland. The airline paid for my hotel (thanks!) and I arrive home with my luggage the next day. Mostly this was an inconvenience, and all turned out well. Just annoying when the problem seemed so minor. The time frame was too long for most passengers to make connections."
Pros: "Thought the complimentary beer and wine offering was fantastic! Even on a short flight like that. Very nice."
Cons: "Being way early and missing flight airline host mistake!"
Pros: "Ditto statements above"
Cons: "Ditto statements above"
Pros: "Roomy seats and plenty of legroom"
Cons: "The whole experience of making a connection in SEA detracts from the travel experience. There is little room for passengers to sit while waiting for their Alaska flight. It causes masses of people in the walkways, and makes it hard to walk through, or get out of the way for others. It may not be the airline's fault, but as I said, it detracted. I don't remember SEA being that overcrowded on previous trips. Our incoming flight was delayed due to weather. Again, not the airline's fault, but we were told we'd be able to make up the time and be on time in DEN. We were still late."
Pros: "Went very well. Not stupid"
We flew First Class to LA from Denver on the Delta-branded contract airline - Sky West. On the way back, we flew First Class on a Delta Airlines owned jet, and the experience was so much better. The flights should have been comparable; but unfortunately cost-cutting by Sky West was evident.
Cons: "Wouldn’t change a thing! I don’t always fly! But when I do!! I fly delta!!"
Cons: "For options none. No drink carts at all. Had coffee once after I asked. Poor quality entertainment. Just a huge waste of money."
Cons: "The main economy seats were far too narrow."
Pros: "I always have a consistently good experience on Delta. Everything was great."
Cons: "My flight was delayed almost 3 hours. Not good. Once in the air it was fine."
Pros: "Everything ok. I was hoping to buy food but glad to see almonds as one of the free snacks. Delta seems to be upping its game a bit lately."
Cons: "No US carrier seems able to master smooth boarding without standing waits."
Pros: "The crew was great and the free entertainment was great"
Cons: "Bring back pillows and blankets especially on red eyes out of Anchorage"
Cons: "Delta is top notch!"
Cons: "1.5 hour delay...no reason given!"
Pros: "The seat was great, I wish all seats on the plane were that comfortable"
Cons: "Nothing, everyone was great"
Pros: "The male crew member was excellent. He was responsive and speedy with trying to find a solution. He gave me a few flyer miles for my trouble and was empathetic, which is rare."
Cons: "The tv/monitor didn’t work so there wasn’t any entertainment for the majority of the flight."
Pros: "The gate agent in Medford for delta was awesome"
Pros: "The crew was great and super nice!"
Cons: "Screens with games, more leg room, and not having kids behind us messing with tray tables the whole flight."
Cons: "Better screens for in-flight movies. More legroom or upgrade options."
Cons: "Boarding at JFK.Always messy"
Pros: "Boarding was quick"
Cons: "No entertainment, plane was small"
Pros: "Good entertainment selection and great crew"
Cons: "Seats are more uncomfortable relative to other airlines"
Cons: "First delay notification: 1 hour 20 minutes 1 hour later, Second delay notification: 3 hours 15 minutes 2 hours later: Third delay notification: 3 hour 50 minutes Fourth delay notification: 4 hours 25 minutes Fifth delay notification: 4 hour 32 minutes No explanation for reason. Last time flying Delta."
Pros: "Early and middle seat was open!"
Cons: "Coffee tasted like fish. :("
Pros: "Delta cramps people into these planes and forces you to put your bags under a seat because they stuff at the overhead spaces. They nickel and dime you for every single thing. There was even one person I saw who had to pay for his headphones to listen to the onboard entertainment. I think Delta should quit being so cheap with the profits they make and give it back to your flying customers. It borders on gouging."
Cons: "Delta cramps people into these planes and forces you to put your bags under a seat because they stuff at the overhead spaces. They nickel and dime you for every single thing. There was even one person I saw who had to pay for his headphones to listen to the onboard entertainment. I think Delta should quit being so cheap with the profits they make and give it back to your flying customers. It borders on gouging."
Pros: "Entertainment choices were excellent, many new movies available, so I was able to see movies is been meaning to watch. There were drinks available."
Cons: "The air vents barely trickle out any air anymore. No relief to be had. Airline crews say hi and goodbye but that doesn't make them friendly."
Pros: "The crew on the airplane was great. We had 2.5 hours turbulences but the crew started to give out drinks as soon they got the ok from the pilot"
Cons: "We went in LGA to the Baggage drop off and the employee there was super rude. On the flight to New York with Delta we had to check our carry ons at the gate because it wasn't enough room for bags in the airplane.so we asked when we checked our one suitcase if we can/should check our carry ons to avoid having to do it at the gate. The delta employee told me sure no problem. He checks in my one suitcase I purchased gives me the tracking paper and says ok have a good flight. I asked him so what is with our carry ons and he told us that that would cost 25$ and we can't check those in at the drop off?!?We ended up taking the carry ons with to the gate and then off course there wasn't enough room on the airplane that we had to check it in. And surprise it was free?? We had never issues with Lufthansa, icelandair etc. with checking our bags at drop off to not needing to carry it around and than still end up to check it at the airplane. Every airline has been more than happy that we volunteer to check our bags that they don't have the trouble at the gate."
Pros: "We boarded close to on time, no hassles. Allowed my husband and me (retired military) to board early, thank you."
Cons: "LAX security is awful. We never left the airport (arrived LAX from Sydney AU) yet were forced thru security again. Had to remove shoes, was scanned and "frisked" by TSA to get to Denver. To go to Australia, Denver TSA waived the removal of shoes, skipped the scan for the metal detector and no one touched me, ditto for LAX on the trip to Sydney. Where's the uniformity or standards for TSA?? Why did I have to be subjected to this garbage on the way home?? This is why I despise flying. It makes no sense to me. This ruined what was a great vacation."
Pros: "Free drinks and snacks - great entertainment system (please read this Frontier)!"
Cons: "Boarding process was agonizingly slow and ineffective"
Cons: "Very little leg room."
Pros: "JFK to Denver the flight Attendants were once again great. Lots of entertainment choices again. The usual rough air coming into DIA."
Cons: "From JFK to Denver the seats were to close for leg room by an inch or two. The temperature was hot most of the flight."
Pros: "Love the built in tv’s with free entertainment."
Cons: "The plane got delayed on the runway and the shut the engines off so the plane got super hot, but even after we got up in the air it never cooled down. Normally I’m freezing on flights, but I just sat sweating this whole flight. It was terrible."
Pros: "The seats had plenty of leg room and the crew was was very kind."
Cons: "My seat was uncomfortable and I was seated in the only row of the aircraft without entertainment for a four hour flight. Then on top of that the passenger next to me removed his shoes and you could smell his feet from a mile away but the flight attendants never requested for him to replace his shoes."
Pros: "I usually have had great experiences with Delta. The meal selection was limited. By the time they made it up to my seat they had run out of what we wanted. Also, the entertainment system at my seat and my husbands wasn’t working well. One of the bathrooms had a cabinets Tvst oliiiooooiiooooioiooiiiooiio"
Pros: "In a pinch they were able t"
Pros: "Great in every way"
Pros: "It got me home, eventually."
Cons: "Poor communication, a 6 hour delay followed by a 7 hour layover (during which we had to sleep on an airport floor because Delta couldn't offer us any hotel vouchers). Gate agents disappeared after 7pm becuase they were due to be done with their shifts when our flight was originally supposed to leave at 6 pm. It felt like we were trapped in the movie The Terminal. Oh! And our bag was misrouted, because that was just how things went those 2 days. All in all a 6 hour trip turned into 18 hours. I could have driven home in that amount of time!"
Cons: "Check in lines were crazy long"
Pros: "Not sure who thought every passenger is 5'6 but for the rest of us, the seat pitch is ridiculously close. Like knees to the seat in front close. I'm 5'10 and I was very uncomfortable the entire flight."
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "free texting and entertainment!"
Cons: "our flight was delayed half an hour."
Cons: "I don't like that I already completed this survey several days ago and have been receiving reminders to do so. I guess you don't have a good system in place for knowing who has and has not completed your surveys. That's too bad."
Pros: "The boarding process in Atlanta was as smooth as could be expected given that it was a full flight. I appreciated the gate announcer's suggestions to everyone about how to ease the overhead baggage crunch."
Cons: "Economy is very tight quarters."
Pros: "Crew was all very nice"
Cons: "Flying is always uncomfortable"
Pros: "When deplaning in Denver, I was impressed that the captain was the staff who got behind my wheelchair and offered to push me up the walkway :)... New aircraft, kind staff, shorty flight!"
Cons: "Nothing disappointed, butt i didn't have any good besides pretzels."
Cons: "Excellent service excellent pilot"
Pros: "Overall, the flight was very smooth and I thought the crew did a great job."
Cons: "I know this is a federal regulation, but I have to mention it as it is part of the boarding process. For the life of me, I can't understand why it is necessary to go through security again after re-entering the country. Understandable that I have to go through customs, but going through security again is ridiculous."
Pros: "Free in flight entertainment"
Cons: "One of my bags went to Santa Fe"
Cons: "This is my third flight this year with Delta and every time we wait for the "crew" to get off from another flight. And as soon as they get there we can board. It's getting very annoying. Fix it."
Pros: "Early arrival. And service"
Cons: "I was assigned very last seat and there is no reclining option."
Pros: "WiFi, good flight attendants"
Cons: "Would like to see Direct TV along with Delta Suite so can watch live TV"
Pros: "Attendants and entertainment"
Cons: "Delays for no explained reason"
Pros: "One male attendant from the first class cabin - super sweet and attentive to our needs even tho we're not seating in the premium cabin"
Cons: "Junior attendants in economy comfort seat - so lazy and whiny!"
Pros: "From the Ground crew to the Flight crew, you can feel the genuine care and thoughtfulness of everyone! They even remember you, if you fly often enough, and let you know how much they appreciate your business."
Pros: "plane had individual movies for free with each seat!"
The plane was SO hot and we waiting 30 min for one passenger to get on. Sweating. Then the plane never cooled off because it got SO hot waiting.
Cons: "There are too many announcements on the screen before you can start watching entertainment. It takes about 15 minutes."
Cons: "Not a thing. Good airline, all the way around"
Pros: "Really enjoy flying first class."
Pros: "Fast and easy flight"
Cons: "It’s was very good flight"
Cons: "The plane we needed for our flight arrived really late so our flight was then of course delayed."
Pros: "Everything was great"
Cons: "Tried to cancel the flight because of an emergency but American only wants money."
Pros: "Appreciated the pilot keeping us informed re: turbulence and avoiding it"
Pros: "Crew was tight, friendly, flight comfortable & painless."
Pros: "Even on a full flight, there was enough overhead storage"
Cons: "Pretzels were lame"
Cons: "Flight got delayed. We paid for assigned seating for our almost 85 yo mom. And the change in flight no one asked for to get seated in the front of plane. Instead she was seated all the way in the back. It was physically exhausting for her."
Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "Absolutely no accommodation for seat assignments and the lady at the gate was so rude for even just asking to sit next to my fiancé even though there were tons of single people on the flight."
Pros: "No major screw-ups this time!"
Cons: "It's AA, let's not try too hard here."
Pros: "Crew was good, flight was on time"
Cons: "Old plane, no TVs"
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "Not enough leg room. They did a gate change and I almost missed the flight because nothing was announced and when I looked at my phone app it had the previous gate."
Cons: "Flight was delayed so had to drive to connecting city just to make it home."
Cons: "My bags were not checked all the way to my destination, I had to get them re-tagged and checked for this part of the trip and the American Agent was EXTREMELY rude and made us pay oversized bagge fees even though our baggage was within the Qantas allowance, the main carrier for our flight."
Pros: "Pretty standard flight"
Cons: "Inconvenient timing and overcrowded with obnoxious children sitting on laps. No attempts made to change their behavior by crew or parents."
Cons: "Ran out of food that I like"
Pros: "The plane looks like new. Great seats, phone and tablet holders at the seat back, USB outlet and a smooth flight."
Cons: "The WiFi did not work and so no entertainment for a flight of almost 4 hours."
Cons: "I hate Americans boarding process"
Cons: "The sound on the entertainment system in my seat didn't work well. Also, the flight was really late getting in to Denver."
Pros: "Fine for a domestic flight. Normally, American Airlines offer a small snack to go with the drinks. But on this particular flight, they went the United way and offered nothing but drinks. Crew was pleasant enough during the flight, although they didn't greet half of the passengers entering or exiting the plane."
Cons: "Flight was a little late taking off and therefore getting to Denver. But there was no announcement about it. There was one announcement from the captain, but it was so soft that I couldn't hear anything. Upon landing and arriving at the gate, we stood there for a while with no lights on and seatbelt sign on, but no explanation of what was going on. There was no welcome to Denver message either. Maybe their announcement system was down."
Pros: "Landing and deplaning"
Cons: "Literally everything else"
Cons: "3+ hour flight with no TV/ entertainment"
Pros: "Not using kayak."
Cons: "Worst flights in history. It took three days to get from Italy to the US. Do not use kayak!"
Cons: "Didn't like the two hour delay, especially when I was notified only a half hour before boarding! This seems to be a normal thing for American Airlines."
Pros: "Great service in first class"
Pros: "David took really could care of our cabin. Likes his cheerful attitude. He was excellent. Hope you let him know."
Pros: "They got us there quickly."
Cons: "Flight departure was delayed for 30 mins by a flight attendant not showing up on time."
Cons: "Flight crew was late and didn’t try and make things move faster to make up time. Kept saying they wanted to go Puerto Rico and that’s where they should have been going."
Cons: "Flight was delayed by 90 minutes because the incflight mint flight was late"
Pros: "Easy and quick boarding. Excellwnt service in first class. Comfortable ride."
Cons: "Nothing. Excellent travel experience."
Cons: "the drink service came through pretty late in the flight. i asked for hot tea. a few minutes later i was provided with extremely hot tea. about 10 minutes later it was a temperature i could tolerate drinking. about 1/3 through the drink i was required to throw away my drink because we were preparing for landing. i understand that, fine. bad timing. it’s just a drink. what was unsatisfactory is that the attendant rudely commented “you have to give us your drink. it’s not that long of a flight.” the comment made me feel like i had done something wrong even though i had just been drinking my tea as soon as it was at a drinkable temperature. i was not impressed with the attendant. also, there weren’t any biscotti cookies."
Pros: "The first leg had awesome pasta. Then, on the 2nd leg, Philly to Denver, they had a "pay for meal" option for turkey with Chutney sandwich - again, delicious. I should add that the service was very good as well."
Pros: "Staff was great!"
Cons: "Seats were really uncomfortable up and reclined. Overhead baggage was full by the time I boarded and there was no enforcement of the carry-on baggage sizes... This needs to be addressed and contributed to our lack of comfort, noting this was the last leg of an 18 hour journey. My body still hurts today after a good nights sleep."
Cons: "the new seats are awful"
Pros: "Confusion, delays, rude employees...you name it, this trip had it. I will do my best to avoid flying with these guys in the future."
Cons: "Flight delayed 15 hours. Poor communication and outright lies from staff. Unwillingness to help find or pay for a place to spend the night. Rude staff"
Cons: "Watched a very weird interaction between Muslim (with a hajib) women with a kiddo and desk crew. She wanted to sit next to her child on the flight and needed to switch seats to be able to. Woman was very gracious and understanding that she was asking for an accommodation. Ends up her flight to Philly had been moved to a different gate after they had found a volunteer to switch seats. Volunteer was totally unfazed but Desk crew made it seem as tho the Muslim mom was at fault for the time and trouble they had had to go through to accommodate her. She apologized profusely and was very appreciative for the trouble evernote had gone to for her. . As she walked away the crew looked at each other and shook their heads. Pretty crummy way to treat customers!"
Pros: "Missed the flight. Money was not refunded."
Cons: "I can't rate it because they canceled my entire itinerary without so much as an email. I did not take my flight to Wilmington via my original flight. I had to book another flight because the change fees were too expensive. I did not know that my return flight to Denver had been canceled until I was checking in a few hours before my flight. I was told my ticket had no value. Awesome! It really stings that I then had to book a new return flight, and because I am a teacher who makes about $23,000 a year, I had to book the cheapest flight, which was with American. I do not plan on giving them any of my hard-earned money in the future if I can help it."
Pros: "The plane was sleek and clean. I had a good amount of room even in coach!"
Pros: "Nothing. AA is the worst airline. Period."
Cons: "Rude flight attendants, delayed flight (as always), just AWFUL."
Cons: "Flight was delayed and then extended by 2 hours due to weather."
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats Crying child"
Pros: "We were able to get to Denver"
Cons: "Jammed in like sardines, rude flight staff, extremely hot aircraft for November"
Cons: "Unexplained delay in leaving but only arrived about 10 min later than scheduled. Took an hour from pulling into the gate for bags to arrive though which caused me to miss my shuttle. Never had to wait more than 15 min for any other airline at DIA."
I didn’t eat any of the snacks nor drink any of the beverages available on the flight. I tend to fall asleep on the plane, which is what happened. It has been a while since I have flown United, I appreciated the spacious seating, comfortable seats and improved planes. Thanks for making the flight easy and enjoyable, it seems like the company has been working on making general improvements to their flights and it’s paying off.
No food. Got a window seat and of course 21a had no window just a perfect panel of plastic
Bad information from Kayak. unhelpful and confusing.
No food…. : ( - we survived!
Pros: "The crew was nice. When I finally arrived in Denver, Marlin in customer service was the only saving grace for United for me. When I asked for options for an earlier flight into Rapid City so I didn’t have to wait 24 hours and miss my visit with my sister, he looked at different hubs (Chicago, Minneapolis) to see if they had any available flights into Rapid, he checked for double bookings, and when he couldn’t find anything, he put me on the standby list for the first flight out in the morning and wrote down the flight information for all of the United flights from Denver for the following day. Marlin provided excellent customer service and was a huge credit to the company."
Cons: "The flight was supposed to leave at 3:56 pm and didn’t leave until 7:30 pm. I would estimate at least 15-20 people missed connecting flights because of the delay. According to the United app, the delay initially started in Portland due to mechanical issues, which took over 3 hours. Then, there was a weather delay in San Francisco according to the gate agent - there was a ground hold and no planes were landing or flying out. At some point, I would think another plane would have been an option rather than delaying a flight for this long and disrupting holiday travel for so many people."
Pros: "The flight was great. No complains to the crew."
Cons: "The drop-off bags at LAX is a mess and you have to stand in two separate lines to drop off your bag. First you have to print the tag and then go to another long line be with 2 employees only to drop it of instead of having one place to print and drop off at the same time. Poor system. Moreover while there was plenty of time my bag did not make it on the same flight. It will arrive on the next flight hopefully. I had to wait in another line for 30 minutes to arrange the delivery and verify all my information. I truly believe that to make a trip great both arms - the airport and the flight experience should be perfect. Unfortunately the ground experience does not allow me to give a higher rating."
Cons: "I paid $100 for an upgrade on a United which turned out to be the first row, and right beside the rest room (which was erroneously showing as occupied for the first 20 minutes). The traffic made it feel like I was sitting on a bench in Grand Central Station. I chose an aisle seat but ended up mysteriously in the middle seat. I had extra leg room but if I’d eaten the free 5 pretzels I wouldn’t have been able to fit it my seat any longer. The WiFi wasn’t working for the first hour of the flight. The flight attendant got really annoyed when we didn’t look up when he came by with beverages the first time. We all had headphones on and were looking at our personal screens. The activity by the rest room was constant so we didn’t notice it wasn’t just someone waiting for the loo. The luggage took so long to come out I thought my conference would be over before I got it. Overall, I thought it was bad and confirmed why I don’t fly United. Old, dingy planes, poor service. The pilot was pleasant and communicative so there was at least that..."
Pros: "The seats are cramped and uncomfortable. They were built for Asians & old people who were smaller. Please understand that the descendants of Norway Germany & Native Americans are large people, we require a larger seat! I was stuffed into this seat so tight that today I will have to see a chirop."
Pros: "Not much but it was the best price"
Cons: "The space was so tight I couldn't open the lid to my laptop. I had a small personal item, the gate checked my bag, and there was no room for my feet. I just flew Alaska, delta, American,d Lufthansa recently and none of those airlines were as bad. Like a sardine can. I will avoid United at Ll costs."
Cons: "The United boarding staff was no help at San Diego airport. I was at the gate 30 minutes before flight take off time, but by the time I arrived, the door was closed, so I was waiting in front of the gate seating area. the flight time was 10:40, and my clock says 10:41, and the flight was gone. This is my first time in 20 years gate attendant didn't announce anything, and there are other people who missed this flight. Because of this, my rest of the trip was miserable, missed meeting in Santa Fe. I need a money back."
Pros: "That I eventually made it home."
Cons: "Flight from Calgary to Denver delayed three and half hours. Informed of this delay thirty minutes before scheduled departure when our plane hadn’t even left Denver yet to head to Calgary. ( 2.5 hr flight) once finally made it to Denver was informed that we missed connecting flight to Boston. We were then informed since it’s for “weather” reasons earlier in the day that caused a sequence of delays they couldn’t accommodate us for hotel. We were given two “blankets” which were as thin as a sheet and each one bottle of water. Some other people around us received good voucherS. We did not. We walked around the airport for close to an hour looking for anyplace we could lay down and sleep. None were to be found. We tried to sleep on the floor but was so cold and uncomfortable I literally got sick to my stomach. Another fun thing added to mix. We were placed on another flight as 6 the next morning. After no sleeping at all we boarded our next flight Which was not a direct flight to Boston but would be from Denver to Newark then Newark to Boston. We were suppose to originally land in Boston at 0600 Monday. Instead we arrived at 1430 after getting zero sleep. My husband and I were also unable to sit together which was extra special for people around me because after not sleeping I continued to be sick to my stomach."
Pros: "Smooth flight into Denver"
Pros: "Seats were comfortable, we were in first class. United provided a good selection of recent movies."
Cons: "United stewardesses have little to no interest in their duties. Questions were clearly an annoyance to them. The leg of flight from Denver to Des Moines was very uncomfortable, seats much to tigh, no leg room. Gate staff in Denver were exceptional. United needs to revisit their time for loading. We preloaded, I had a broken leg, I was traveling with a special needs woman. We just reached our seats when other passengers were prodding us to sit so they could board no time to settle. Not impressed"
Pros: "I no longer expect tolerable so that was nice"
Cons: "No food available by the time I ordered. Entertainment was not working unless I had downloaded the app. Battery life limits entertainment"
Pros: "The flight attendants were so nice, and although our flight was delayed and hour and fifteen minutes and our layover was an hour and fifteen minutes, we were able to make our connection! Since our connection to Portland in Denver was the last flight of the night, they were able to hold it for us. This was wonderful because there weren’t many flights out that weren’t booked solid for the next day. The attendants on this flight were great about updating us with information for the connections and telling us when we would land in Denver."
Cons: "The plane was delayed over an hour for cleaning. It was frustrating to say the least."
Pros: "For the first time I did not fly on a puddle jumper. Not only was it a real jet, it had good seat comfort and leg room even in economy class. The crew was friendly and attentive. They came by with offerings of water at least 4 times for a 2+ hour flight. Contrast that with my last two 5 hour flights on Virgin and American where they came by with water — ONCE. WiFi wasn’t working for either flight and of course the lack of decent food is discouraging. The coffee has improved which is a plus. Overall, good job, United! Nice not to be jammed in like sardines for once."
Cons: "Every time I fly to Denver, we land in one terminal and your connection is in another terminal that requires a train ride to get there. ,ayovers are short — generally barely an hour. If the flight is late you stand a very good chance of missing your connection, as I’m betting happened to over half the passengers on this flight. I was the lucky exception — this aircraft was actually the connecting flight too. Why can’t all United connections be in the same terminal? It makes no sense."
Pros: "The flight was on time"
Cons: "This was a smaller plane (4 seats across). Knowing this, they didn't bring enough luggage carts, so they only brought some of the luggage to the baggage claim and didn't tell us this. 5-6 of us waited and waited and finally asked someone who told us that they had to go back to the plane to get the rest of the luggage. Those of us still waiting got to wait another half hour for our luggage. Talk all they want, United just can't seem to get it right. PS: those of us who had to wait were the ones who got to the San Antonio airport the earliest and thus our luggage was on the plane first."
Pros: "We will never fly united... NEVER EVER AGAIN"
Cons: "United airlines employee Mearle at the check in counter was extremely disrespectful, Rude, and arrogant towards everyone in line at the counter Trying to check in. Many customers including us waitted in the check in line for 35 minutes or more while Mearle proceeded to chat on her cell phone (personal call), and taking a break leaning the check in counter while everyone waited on her so she could assist with check in. Finally the passengers in front of us voice their concern to mearle stating that everyone is going to miss theirs flights if she didn't assist us all right away. Mearle responded by snapping back by saying "it's not my fault that united keep us understaffed and pay us enough to care " then laughed and walked away again. At this point we realized that if we did not get immediate assistance, that we would surly miss our flight. I walked in front of the line on behalf of everyone standing in line and reiterated to Mearle in a firm tone that she insisting check in the remaining 12 passengers immediately. Mearle snapped back telling me to "worry about my own self and don't tell me how to do my own job". Feeling very stressed out And worried about missing my flight went and stood back in line again. A few moments later I over heard Mearle tell the passengers ahead of us " you're too late. You've missed your flight" these passengers became very upset with Mearle telling her that she's the reason they missed the flight and Mearle laughed and said out loud to everyone else in line.. "you all missed your flight. You all should be more responsible next time and get here earlier" and then Mearle walked away never to be see again. Many of us missed our flight which caused many of us to also miss our connecting flights. We immediately called the 800 number and filed a complaint. Then we were forced to drive three hours in traffic to LAX where we caught a later flight and barely made it to our destination in time for our work event. We swore that because of Mearle and her disgusting behavior that we will never ever fly united again (and I fly a lot for my job) and since that horrible experience with Mearle two months ago, I've flown on four trips spending over $2300 dollars and every flight has been booked through American Airlines. Do to Mearle's bad attitude, disrespectful personality, and poor representation of united we will never do business with united again. We suggest united airlines remove Mearle from Having any contact with the general public as we are sure that Mearle is loosing customers for united at a very rapid pace."
Pros: "The crew was so friendly and made up for the small space."
Cons: "The express plane was extremely tight."
Cons: "Seats to small. But I am 6'3"" and my son traveling with me is 6'5"."
Pros: "Nothing about this airline."
Cons: "The crew at the gate was really rude. Zero customer service. She raised her voice at us and another customer who was charged $50 for our carry on. Not only was the flight delayed for over 2 hours. We were not informed that we could not bring a carry on even when we were at the main entrance with an agent for over 30 mins when you entered the airport. All their staff needs new training everyone kept on giving us a different answer. We asked because of this delayed will our room be comp due to the fact we will be missing our connected flight. On the phone the agent said yes. When we got to the airport that agent said no. When we got on the plane that agent said no. When we landed in Denver that agent comp our room. We ended up booking a room making sure we had a place to stay at night. It created more work for us because we were trying to cancel our room took even more time. Definitely wanted to give United the benefit of the doubt that they were at least at the level of American Airlines. The last time we flew United it was delayed for 8 hours they ended up canceling the flight. When we called they said it was the weather and we told that agent it's mechanical issue because we are watching someone remove the engine. We will stick to American Airlines. Free entertainment."
Pros: "I liked the legroom of Economy Plus. The flight itself was good. Didn't buy any food."
Cons: "We arrived late in Denver and had to sit at the gate and wait for the jetway person to arrive and connect the jetway to the plane. I also didn't like the fact that I had to buy Economy Plus because my wife and I were not only not assigned seats together after booking, we were not assigned seats at all. When I booked the flights I was only allowed to choose seats for the first flight - Charlotte to Houston...but not for the other three legs of our Charlotte to Seattle trip. The only two seats together from Houston to Seattle were in the very last row. And, on our return flight we had to purchase Economy Plus in order to sit together."
Pros: "Flight was smooth and on time"
Cons: "The boarding gate attendants were rude and uncaring when we asked them to help us switch pre-assigned seats to ensure our two year old sat with us. While we might have understood better had they been empathetic, they were rude and uncaring and said when you book online you sign a waiver and they can not do anything about this. Wow. This was our flight back. Originally on the way to our destination we had used Delta and that customer service experience was completely different even though that flight was full too. Never flying United again as long as I can avoid it."
Pros: "free movies on the flight with the united app"
Cons: "The flight attendant was late delaying boarding 20 minutes. Once they started, people were lining up to board. This is a normal behavior however, there employee decided to stop boarding because she said people were crowding. she stop boarding for another 20 minutes. Now, this was a large flight and there wasn't enough room for everyone to stand off to the side. She was rude and there was no reason for this especially when the flight attendant was already late. The plane was delayed 45 minutes due to this"
Pros: "Nothing I won't be flying united again!"
Cons: "The lady at the gate when boarding was not friendly and was not willing to help us get seats together. I was traveling with my mother, husband and two infant children. And it was like pulling teeth to get any information out of her. She did not even tell us we could board early to get situated on plane! I also called earlier that morning and spoke with a man on he phone at united who told me he put us all in the same row. That was a lie bc when we checked in at the gate to get our seats the lady said no one was sitting next to each other! That lady was rude and short tempered! Awful experience will never fly again!!"
Cons: "When all the passengers, who book the flight, cannot be accommodated, the airline should not allow booking for that flight. Having a ticket and a boarding pass to board my flight, I was still told (and was not asked if I would like to do this) to take another flight route, which would take me to my destination 5 hours later than my booking time. The complimentary vouchers is not always appreciated when the passenger is already exhausted from previous flughts, and then is told to spend additional time at the airports/flights just because the flight went overcapacity. I wish the flight staff had asked if anybody on the flight was willing to volunteer for a different flight, instead of just making the 4-5 passengers take this alternate route, all because of the overbooking. Also, the flight gate as mentioned on the boarding pass was not accurate, and the only way a passenger can come to know of the change, is if the passenger makes an effort to go verify this information. IMO, the airline should make an announcement, at the least, at the gate mentioned on the boarding pass that the gate has changed."
Pros: "I liked that they were polite and friendly during the national United flight groundings due to the computer error."
Cons: "I did not like the terrifying situation in which the pilot said we would be landing in 15 minutes (at this point we were close enough to the ground that I could see cars ) but then without any further announcement proceeded to point the plane upwards and started flying up up up so that all the city lights disappeared and all I could see were stars next to us. I asked 2 different flight attendants wtf was going on and they both said "oh he's just looking for smooth air" which was clearly BS because I was in the very last row of the plane and if there had been rough air I would have been the first to feel it. After inexplicably shooting upwards for what felt like an eternity we finally turned around and ultimately landed and guess what, no rough air to be found. Now I know why airplane pilots update you all the time, because when he pulls a maneuver like that without any warning it is terrifying and all I could think of was the suicidal dude in Germany from Lufthansa. Not cool. Other than that the flight was fine and they were really nice despite the like 3 hour delay or whatever it was. It cost me an extra $60 cause I arrived so late my husband and baby couldn't pick me up anymore but they offered a credit for a future flight so it's ok. I appreciate the gesture."
Cons: "A passenger had to move because of an allergy to the "emotional support dog" in the seat next to her. They moved her before the rest of the flight had boarded, so the seating got messed up and took quite a bit of time to sort out. The flight crew seemed to be extremely put off by the whole scenario and couldn't seem to keep their displeasure professionally under control. I ended up volunteering to move because the passengers who caused the problem refused to bend. For all the crew's displeasure, they didn't handle the passengers, the passengers handled them."
Pros: "Get to Denver, they tell me I don't have a seat, they asked me if I wanted to fly out the next day because they over booked met three other people who had been there for 10hrs because they did the same thing to them! One girl told me they told her it was because we paid less then other people! A nice couple stayed so I could come home. I was pissed! My daughter flew into Houston, the flight was late getting in to LA, by two hrs, missed her connecting flight to San Luis Obispo, her sister had to drive down 4hrs to pick her up and drive back because she had work! Not happy!!!!"
Cons: "I was flying home the day after having broken my L5 Vertebrae. I was held up in security because of the patch the doctor put on my back and although the TSA employees were very nice and friendly I almost missed my flight. While boarding, the staff took the opportunity to berate me for being late. While I understood why, it was really unprofessional to speak to a passenger like that without the full context. It didn't help that I was really cranky. Never had a bad experience with united before so I was very disappointed."
Pros: "The friendly co-travelers as there is no food or entertainment for people on a budget. Better than my flight TO SLC which was cancelled the first day, then delayed the 2nd day. Airport services saved my day by carting me to the connecting flight TO SLC from Denver as there was only 15 minutes to get from one end of the concourse to the other. A little difficult to run there at my age. Any chance of allowing people with connecting flights disembark first instead of last in this situation?"
Cons: "Due to inclement weather conditions no liquids were served. Small bottles of water would be great - less likely to spill over in bad weather and thirst would also be quenched. Lack of luggage space for those of us with the correct allowance hand luggage instead of all the extra large pieces because people don't want to go to baggage claims or pay for baggage. Truly their suitcase not paid for is the same as mine paid for. Difference is the inconvenience of having to keep my hand luggage at my feet because of the larger pieces filled by passengers in group 1, 2, and 3 over my designated seat area."
Cons: "I told the checkin agent that I would need a wheelchair at the Denver and OHare airports. I told the flight attendant on both flights. I would need a wheelchair at arrival. No wheelchairs for me. At Dwnver they were able to find one for me but with no one to push me. Eventually the pilot who flew us to Denver stepped in and got me to my connecting flight gate, bless his heart. At OHare no wheelchairs for anyone who had requested one. Complete chaos. I finally had to walk to my connecting flight from terminal C to terminal B. Very exhausting for someone with cancer who is exhausted most of the time. Your wheelchair service is completely ineffective, disappointing and a cruel joke."
Cons: "Unable to pre-check online. Unable to check at the check in machines--had to go up and check in at the counter, long wait because there was only one clerk. We were then given a ticket just to get through security and had to check in a second time when we get to the gate for seat assignment, which is ridiculous. Why couldn't that be done at the 1st check-in? The clerk told me she will call me when she has the seat assignment/ boarding ticket but she never did and I had to go back up to ask for them when it was getting close to boarding time. At the last moment minutes, volunteers could check in their carry on for free....It would have been nice (and less hassle) to have that option at the 1st check-in."
Pros: "Once flight began it ran quite smooth"
Cons: "I chose seats when I booked the tickets. So... Not quite sure how both myself and my partner didn't end up seated together, and both ended up in a middle seat sandwiched between 2 overweight people... Are you little people profiling to break up the overwhelming number of big people? another couple with 2 kids were also broken up into distant areas on the plane. I know everyone complains about so many things, and this wasn't the end of the world, but still, it's not ideal. The seating/etc seemed more disorganized than usual for this flight."
Cons: "I'm usually a patient person, but my flight was supposed to leave at 525am and didn't leave until 730. This was the first flight in the morning. We boarded, waiting 30 minutes on the plane, they told us to get off because there were computer issues. Why wasn't that checked before everybody was boarded? Once we got on the plane we had to wait another 30 minutes for the crew to get someone's luggage from under the plane. Why wasn't that done while the computer was getting fixed? I didn't get to Denver until 1040am missed my flight and didn't get to get on my connection until 500pm. In the meantime I called to get on a different flight at 1, but the guy on the phone didn't actually book me a seat. The gate people weren't very nice."
Cons: "My boarding pass was not scanning which was holding up the line. A second person came over to approve me getting on the plane. That person made me check the size of my carry on bag, which had gotten bigger from some things I purchased in the airport but was just a touch too large for their sizer. She attempted to check the bag meaning I wouldn't have it until my final destination, which I was NOT ok with for two reasons. One was i had a 3 hour layover after this flight and needed work materials inside. The second was i was on a time crunch to get my ride at my final destination and was only traveling with carry on. She was very rude and insitant on it fitting inside the sizer as she stood over me with the tag to check my bag. I managed to take some things out that I moved into my backpack, which meant I had to awkwardly carry my blanket and travel pillow onto the plane. The most frustrating part was when I got on the plane, it was oversized top carryon bins, so the extra inch my bag grew would have been fine. Because of the time it took me to rearrange, i was the last one on the plane and all the bins had been filled with tiny second bags, but a few people on the plane had seen what happened and they rearranged a space for me. Also my video screen was broken and everyone else's worked. And there were two screaming babies around me the whole flight, but that is no one's fault."
Cons: "Plane was late then sat on run way for 30 minutes. Over one hour late."
Pros: "The plane was clean, flight was smoothe, cost was good."
Cons: "Made me check my carry on because they stated there was no room which was not the case when I walked on ( found at least 6 spots). I requested to at least be able to look for myself seeing as how my seat was in the very back, but they refused. Also, allowed many customers to store their personal bag ( their backpack) in the bins that were oversized which should have counted as their carry on, just allowed them because they wanted to. They should have made those individuals check their "carry on". Also limited snacks available by the time they were able to provide service to my area of the plane."
Cons: "About two hours before my flight, it was canceled after previously making an airplane switch the night before after checking in online. The I received an email while I was on the way to the airport saying that the airplane that I was going to fly out on was canceled due to airplane maintenance. While I am happy they didn't fly the plane while needing maintenance, they should have planned ahead and known of the maintenance or had a backup ready to go. Obviously it must have been something they just found, but in the big picture of things. You have to pay an way to much for a flight as it is. They should have to solve their own issues to honor their part of the contract. We (as customers) can't cancel a flight with out penalties. Why shouldn't they have to do the same?"
Pros: "Smooth boarding. Friendly crew. Got us there on time, despite a late start That included a gate change."
Cons: "Was asked to check my carry on bag, because the flight was full. Meaning they sold the seat I purchased for my wife (who was unable to make the flight). I did so, but when I looked in the overhead bin after the flight, it was empty. When we arrived in Denver, I waited at the baggage carousel, watched everyone pick up there bags, until there were only 5 or 6 bags going around. I then went to a counter behind the carousel and asked about my bag. I was only then told that my bag had been there the whole time I was waiting."
Pros: "Very friendly and helpful staff."
Cons: "The fact that we had a connecting flight to minot from Denver. Arrived late to Denver because of weather, but my stroller that I had left on the jetway in Seattle was never put on the plane which I didn't know until I got to minot. I was going to wait for it in denver, but I would have missed my flight to minot had I waited 5 more minutes. We arrived to minot only to find out that our 3 suitcases, one stroller and 2 car seats were never in the flight. Awful! And my connecting flight was even delayed an extra 55 min so I don't quite know where my things are."
Pros: "Once on the aircraft everything was just fine"
Cons: "First of all it was delayed, no big deal but once i checked in I wasn't even assigned a seat. I try to find an agent at the boarding gate and none to be found. They finally arrive 30 min before take off and then assign me a middle seat when I specifically picked my seat weeks earlier and of course was one of the last people to board barely enough time to search for a place for my bag and get to my middle seat in the back of the aircraft. Not even a sorry or any type of compensation for a terrible experience"
Pros: "On time."
Cons: "United has squeezed its Economy class customers into seats that are tolerable only for the shortest. If I were an inch or so taller, I would have found the space intolerable. As it was, my knees were against the seat in front. For a flight as long as this one (over 5 hours from Anchorage to Denver), it was uncomfortable to say the least. The middle of the plane was nearly empty, because United charges $75 per seat for an upgrade. For the round-trip for two of us, that would have added $300 to our bill. The fact that so few are willing to pay the upgrade fee indicates that the increment is too large."
Pros: "The flight was smooth. And the wine was good."
Cons: "I paid for 2 round trip tickets and because my son was not there for the first leg, they resold the seat. So they got my money and the other person's money for the same seat. I wanted both seats and paid for both seats. It is theft and should not be allowed. The flight attendant was extremely rude and dismissive. It is a poor practice. You could have at least asked first before rebooking the seat. At least have offered compensation or something. I probably would have said yes Anyway. It's the principle of the process being wrong to the consumer which only benefits the corporation."
Cons: "Not enough time between flights!"
Cons: "My flight was scheduled to leave at 4:51 pm. I arrived at the airport 2 and a half hours before my flight was to leave and I read the departure board to see that the flight was delayed due to maintenance. Then I saw that it was delayed again because we were waiting for a flight coming in from the Bahamas. Well my flight didn't take off until about 7:30 pm. I arrived in Denver around 10:00 pm which made me miss my shuttle to the Springs. I am a diabetic and was in need of my medication so I needed to get home. I spent extra money to take a bus to downtown Denver and a grayhound bus to the springs and a cab to my home. So my trip cost my an extra $55.00 dollars I didn't have. I have always taken United but after this experience, I will never again take United."
Cons: "Recently United decided to cancel all of their flights to Denver due to an April snow storm. United was the only company that chose to cancel rather than delay flights. Our flight was cancelled 24 hrs before any snow fell. Their solution was to offer us another flight over 72 hrs out. After spending 6 hrs on the phone with this company (not exaggerating) I feel entitled to say that this company holds zero accountability or concern for their customers. We had to spend an additional $500 to get to our destination last minute through JetBlue."
Pros: "The crew is AMAZING!!! Personal, professionals, they go above and beyond my personal standard of customer service. Very comfortable atmosphere. Not to be mistaken with the uncomfortable seats. I like to think United doesn't overlook the work ethic their employees represent the company with on a day to day basis."
Cons: "I travel for work from Grand Junction, Colorado to Dickinson, North Dakota every 4 to 6 weeks. I always fly United. On one occasion I met family in Colorado Springs, so I bought a round trip ticket from Dickinson to Colorado Springs. I missed the second half of my round trip flight from Colorado Springs to Dickinson. I had to pay my own cab fare from Colorado Springs to Denver to catch my flight, because your plane, that i paid for a flight on, had mechanical issues and didn't make it to Colorado Springs. Second, my flight in Denver was cancelled 3 times and almost a fourth. I all but got down on my knees and begged to catch the fourth flight they tried to cancel. Third, I didn't even get to fly into Dickinson. So instead of somebody coming and picking me up in Dickinson which is a 30-minute drive from where I work, somebody had to drive 3 hours to Williston where you guys ended up getting me. Which cost me 3 hours of gas money to get picked up, instead of 30 min of gas money. I didn't get either of the flights back to North Dakota that I paid for. I've asked for the reasonable request that I be refunded 50% of the cost of the airfare and the $235 it cost for cab fare. When I contacted United about this I got the runaround from everybody. At this point I've pretty much accepted the loss, and the financial hit. I'll continue to fly United only because it's pretty much my only option. Just make sure you keep the crew around. They're great. I'd hate for the experience to go from unsatisfying, to miserable."
