Cons: "Our flight was delayed for two hours. We have a connecting flight from Osaka to Los Angeles, which we were worried we couldn't make it. They told me the flight will wait for us because there were 20 plus people also need to get on that plane. When the time of boarding we heard they were calling us to the front and explained the flight we were suppose to be connecting already took off. They had to booked us to another airline. We were extremely disappointed! We asked if we could took another Japanese airline but they said our luggages were already transferred to that airline and the tickets were printed! Mosf importantly we have already waited in airport 5 hours and they needed us to wait for another 3 hours! Very bad experience with how they dealing with this situation!"

Cons: "Checking in with Japan Airlines was a serious hassle. I had my e-ticket but they kept asking me if I had already paid. The flight was apparently overbooked but than at the last minute, they gave me and my girlfriend seats separated from each other. I sat in the back, she sat in front. The tickets also had trouble scanning and kayak isn't a known agency."

Pros: "The stewardess of the flight from LA to Osaka was awesome , I don't remember her exactly name , I think she is older then other crew members working that day on economy class . She was very professional , serving customer with the best she can. Always smiles. I feel good whenever I see her walks by, smile and very professional When the meal was serve but they only had one dish to choose instead of two ( I guess that day Chicken Masala dish was high on demand so there are only Japanese dish left) she said we are so sorry with a very sincere gesture , I chose Japanese food because I like Japanese food anyway , she politely thanks me for my choice and later bring a bag of small mix snack for me and said thank you for being flexible . Later on, when we getting off the airplane she even helped me to stroll my carry on out to the airplane because I was carry too many stuffs with me and my daughter being so tired of the long flight so I have to comforted my daughter . The stewardess saw that and helping me a hand . I wish every airlines has someone like this crew member . Thank you so much for the awesome service on Japan Airlines."

Pros: "I feel like I got way more than what I paid for with this airline! The hostesses were super friendly always offering some sort of beverage, the food was tasty (Be careful not to drop noodles on yourself like I did, those bad boys left a little mark). The video selection wasn't huge, but it was definitely adequate with good titles. Maybe I haven't noticed this before in other airlines, but they had new toothbrushes (packaged, not someone's forgotten toothbrush) in the restroom so the poor sap next to me didn't have to smell my stinky breath. Finally, they were quick with boarding! They were very punctual and we took off right when we got on, so nice!"

Also, I thought it was my headphones, but it happened on a couple of flights with different headphones, but the audio only comes out of one earphone which was slightly annoying... Other than those things, JAL is super solid and I would recommend it to anyone considering them."

Cabin foods are generous, filled with variety and tasting the best among various international airlines that I have experienced between LAX and Taipei, Taiwan in the past ten years. The seat belt on light and bell were kept at minimal, in contrast to other airlines like EVA, China Airlines, Korean Airlines and United Airlines."

The crew at check-in told me I could keep my purse with me, and the crew on the airline told me I had to put it overhead. Please be consistent! Flying is very stressful for me, and I want the staff to make it as stress-free as possible. As for boarding, I wasn't allowed into the gate until an hour before. What really bothered me was that they had already let some people into the gate and shut some other people out. Either let people in or don't. Don't follow the rules halfway because then they won't mean anything. I was very shocked by this and have never experienced this at any airline before. All I wanted to do was sit down and relax at the gate before boarding. If this ever happened to me again, I would not fly with the same airlines. To think that this was a JAL flight, with such a high reputation of customer service, makes me even more wary of booking a flight with JAL. I didn't appreciate being treated that way, and I will not tolerate it if it happens again."

Pros: "Even though the flight was around 45 min, still got a nice cup of consomme soup while I was working on the in-flight WiFi. Overall good for a short flight but basic interior with poor visibility of safety video on 787-9."

Only people at the front of the queue can see the correct places to stand, so many people were trying to push in the front of the queue because the signs weren't visible from some angles or from far away. Basically couldn't see the inflight safety videos from my seat (17K) because of the curvature of the overhead bins and positions of the few screens (no seat-back monitors)."

We took off late (which, personally, at this point, I had just been on a 14 hour flight plus the 2 hours layover) - a delay just added to the exhaustion. Also, the plane was very old and very hot...even though it was only a one hour flight, it was very uncomfortable and outdated."

With a warm blanket provided, I would suggest keeping the cabin a bit cooler and providing extra blankets if people need them. Also the movie selection on ANA is not nearly as comprehensive as what United provides on international flights."

It took the airline 3 hours after the cancelation to get out luggage back. When we finally got out, the next day, our flight was delayed and we almost missed our connection. Every one who was trying to make the same connection said that every time they fly Air Canada they are always running. We needed up being the last ones on the plane.... they gave away our seats so we were separated for 12 hours. And shoved into corners!!! Our bags made it two days late."

Flight was scheduled to take off at 1210 pm, delayed to 1510, delayed again to 1700 then delayed to 2110 and hen finally boarded at 2230 but the flight did not take off for an additional 2 hours making the total flight delay 12+ hours. My mom did not speak English and the staff at the boarding gate would not provide her a translator nor where they willing to talk to us over the phone to assist her. I understand that delays happen but the lack of assistance and multiple delays was alarming (with clear weather). Air Canada device over the phone was unprofessional as well when I called to discuss the lack of assistance we received."

Cons: "No apology for lateness, flight boarded late, took off 40 min late, arrived 35 minutes late but we sat at gate waiting for someone to open it ?!, then another 15 min before bags started to unload Ridiculous but indicative of airlines You are not their valued guest or even their customer, you are a problem that needs to be solved and are consequently met with preloaded annoyance and a readiness to dismiss, placate at the best of times but definitely not please, impress, sympathize or satisfy. There is no evidence that it's even in their lexicon- not a part of their recruitment or selection process or training, ever! They're main focus and only positivity is saved for themselves. There may be a long line of concerned and anxious travelers but their priority is getting coffees for the battle ahead! They break their focused indifference only for each other and enthusiastically leave their post to satisfy each other's needs and attention. This has got to change! Why do we put up with such awful service for which we are the paying customer? Why are we, their customers, not valued? This airline makes record profits, provides less, charges for everything and increasingly delivers bad service, sometimes offensively bad! It doesn't cost more to hire a customer centric pleasant person, or incorporate guest experience into training or at the very least be friendly and smile! What if an airline just did that?! They'd differentiate themselves and develop a positive customer centered culture. Don't we deserve that, at the very least?!"

Those machines also could not read foreign passports though Canadian ones were fine. So we had to wait for our friends who were from overseas. The stewardess doing the announcements went so fast you could not hear her except for a few words, and she had a very strong French accent so it sounded like she was speaking in French all the time. But at least she was better than the pilot, whom we could not hear at all. The only word we heard was "cloudy"."

I was delayed by airport security and by the time I made it to the gate it was already dispatched, flight closed doors 10 min after it was scheduled to board, very efficient boarding crew that left 6 passengers on the ground !! Since it was a short flight between Toronto and Montreal they gabe me a seat in the next flight which had a delay in boarding (30 min) and then delayed departure too another 30 min ... All in all i spent almost 5 hours in the airport for a 1h flight"

Yesterday, the flight was again delayed for 90 minutes while mechanical repairs were needed. Several people missed connections. It is making me think that I cannot trust the timing of your flights and as I am going to Paris through Montreal on Sept. 25th, I feel I should change my flight to give myself more time to make my flight to Paris. I currently have 1 hour and 5 minutes to make the flight. Do you think I should change my flight and will I be charged for it. Please advise."

Pros: "Like like the fact that we we're bump to fist class. The customer service was great. The flight attended was very nice and pilot."
Cons: "The price was expensive."

Cons: "I almost missed my connecting flight due to AC delaying departure in Vancouver. I received no solid information from the stewardess on the flight on whether the connecting plane in Toronto would wait. I mean, really. There was never any explanation as to why the Vancouver flight was late either."

Pros: "The crew members tried their best in the unfortunate circumstance and the choices of movies was okay but it was better than nothing."
Cons: "I chose to fly directly to save time, and I spent the extra $100 for choosing this option over flights with a layover. I ended up waiting an additional 2 and a half hours before the flight took off -- in this time I also requested for a blanket since the air craft got cold. There was an extra charge for this as well. It is ridiculous considering, the purpose of my flight choice was to ensure that I saved time and in return I paid for the convenience, ironically it didn't work out that way. There was no form of compensation."

Cons: "Boarding area was a nightmare - hot , miles and miles of walking to get there, and crowded. The system for check-in is the stupidest i have ever seen - we were asked to scan passports and boarding passes then stand in a crowded area to wait for names to come up on an electronic board that could only be read from the front of the room. Who thought of that????"

Cons: "The flight was smooth and the crew was excellent. They ran out of food so there was very little to choose from to eat."

Pros: "Almost everything, from check-in, to boarding, the crew, comfort, food and entertainment were great. Was able to easily check-in from my mobile. Boarding was one hour early and gave everyone enough time (due to this, we left early about 15 minutes before actual departure time and arrived even earlier at about 40 minutes before actual arrival time). Whole crew was friendly except for one (see my other comments). Seats were comfortable and roomier compared to other airlines. Food was perfect. Did not feel hungry or bloated. Entertainment choices provided tons of movie and TV shows to choose from. Even the customs procedure at Toronto was very easy. I would fly Air Canada again to and from Tokyo. Thank you."
Cons: "My flight was almost perfect except for one snafu. There was one flight attendant who gave me a broken plastic glass when I asked for apple juice. The juice was flowing out so fast that my aisle seatmate got drenched. He never offered any apologies and when my seatmate and I both asked for some extra napkins, he looked at us very rudely. It was a surprise as rest of the crew were very nice that I regret never getting his name to report here."

Pros: "As a 6'5" guy, I was worried about spending ten hours on a plane. Air Canada made the flight enjoyable with comfortable seats (even in the economy class) and high quality flight attendants."

There would have been plenty of room for our baggage! One more reason to never fly United again!"

Pros: "We were diverted to Austin due to weather. We had to refuel and we were stuck on the Tarmac for over an hour. While all of this was miserable, the Crew stayed active answering questions. The Captain gave several updates and walked the aisle. They even let people off the plane who were trying to get to Austin. For a bad situation this crew made it so much better!"

Cons: "I want able to select my seat and ended up being separated from my sister. We had a 3 hr lay over due to problems with the plane. By the time we got to our destination we almost didn't get a rental car. There was some turbulence on the flight, which is expected. Landing was very rough, came in too fast and hit the breaks so hard I thought I was going to end up in the back of the seat in front of me."

Cons: "The flight attendant was rude to passengers and my luggage was lost so I arrived at my destination with nothing!! I had to wait at the airport for 6hours for my luggage to be returned to me!"

Cons: "Flight was cancelled due to pilot and crew never showing up. Customer service didn't offer a hotel or any type of compensation for wasting time and money. Instead they put me on a flight another day which I incurred cost on parking, hotel, food and etc."

Cons: "Small plane, it was hot. Delayed, missed connecting flight."

Pros: "The price of the flight was affordable."
Cons: "The plane was dirty. Seats were uncomfortable & worn. Other airlines offer free wi-fo or entertainment. They did not have enough condiments for coffee. There was not good direction to passengers for boarding."
