Cons: "There were two runways in Mexico City and one was under maintenance so it took a long time from the moment we landed to the time we were able to get out of the plane. Then, they took our check-in luggage from the plane and it went through an inspection (bag by bag), so this caused another hour delay. After that they gave us our check-in luggage for us to take it to another location (to another floor) within the airport to be checked-in again. They wanted to charge us $20.00 additional per check-in bag even though they were half of the weight limit. After we complained, they dropped this charge. Due to all the delays we lost our connection and we had to book another flight. Not a good experience. We will never make a stop in Mexico in the future."

Cons: "Tried to pre check a day before the flight using Volaris app and wasn't able to complete the process, as the app was timing out and it was forcing me to buy a seat in the plan, which I wasn't interested in. It seems to me that the airline is trying to nickel and dime you in every opportunity they have as they wanted to charge us 50 USD extra as our carry on luggage was under the 22 LB restriction but our backpack added 2 pounds. I have never seen an airline that is weighting each and every passengers backs and purses during the boarding process to see how much more money they can get per flight. Also, I found it kind of funny that after take off the flight attendants were selling the empty seats in the front which didn't had more leg room (not first class) but were just closer to the cabin. You are already charging for sodas, CAN YOU JUST STOP THERE?"

I understand that may not be the way the airline feels about the LGBTQ community; however, the pilot is the highest ranking member of it for this particular flight making him the “image” of Volaris while wearing the company uniform. The seats were so close together you couldn't even rest forward onto the tiny tray tables without hitting your head on the persons seat in front of you. I am by no means a large person at only 5' 3" so I can only imagine how awful it was for tall people! For a three hour plane ride it would be better to go with any other company."

Cons: "I had discovered the carry-on bag charges AFTER purchasing the ticket online which is a bit underhanded. My 'bargain' ticket was now the same price as every other airline plus the 'privilege' of food and beverage purchase whereas all the vanguard carriers still offer free carry-on, snacks and soft drinks. BTW unless you're drunk or completely exhausted, don't plan on getting much sleep: the seats were made with some of the thinnest padding I've experienced and you might get 3-4 inches of recline, IF you can locate the lever! IMPORTANT!! If you don't order THE WORKS pkg ($55) when you INITIALLY pay for your ticket, which includes refund waiver along with check-in, carry-on and seat choice, you're stuck with THE PERKS ($45) which has all the above EXCEPT the refund waiver. The refund fee is $99! You can do everything a la carte, but will cost more beyond 1 bag. BTW, do it all online or you'll pay more at the airport. All in all, absolutely fine for the price if you have a personal sized item (i.e. up to a small backpack) but a standard size carry-on or check-in will definitely put a wrinkle in your flight budget!"

Cons: "I contacted Frontier about a week before my flight to let them know my friend I was flying to visit had to make an emergency trip to see her father who was dying of liver failure. On the first attempt I was notified that only immediate family members were would be an excuse but that I could try to request through a different faucet of emergency circumstances. I put through another request and was never contacted. I did not fly to Salt Lake but I was still charged even though they could very well have sold my seat to another person and made double the money for the seat. I am very disappointed with the service I received from Frontier."

Cons: "-$30 (at least) for ONE carry-on. Some people had a personal item only. I then noticed that at boarding, the attendent didn't seem to be checking people's ticket and wether or not they had a carry-on. ಠ_ಠ -When you check-in online, they make it look like you have to pay for your actual seat. ($13-30) I was shocked. However, I realized later that if you scroll down all the way, there's a "skip" option. They replaced their humane, padded chairs with these ultra slim hard plastic ones that don't recline so you're stuck sitting at a 90 degree angle with basically no padding so they can fit more seats on the plane with tiny tray tables. I'd like to see the CEO spend a couple of hours in one these. I'll never fly Frontier again because they've completely lost touch with the concept of treating customers with dignity."

Cons: "Even though the ticket is cheap, you have to pay outrageous prices for literally everything else. You have to pay to reserve a seat (any seat) otherwise they can separate your family on the plane. You have to pay for drinks (even water) no matter how long your flight. You don't get a free carry on bag and if you don't book the bag before you get to the airport it can cost you north of 45$ to check it. The accommodations themselves were not great. The chairs have no cushioning, don't recline, are so close together that I couldn't cross my legs, and the tray table is 4 inches wide and couldn't even hold my laptop. The flight attendants on both flights were extremely rude and ran into me with the drink cart twice. One of the flight attendants when asked if the AC would be turned on since the flight was pretty warm asked if the woman wasn't just having hot flashes. She was upset tingly abrasive. The flight was delayed on the Tarmac for over an hour because the team couldn't load the baggage on the flight. The flight team didn't give us any explanation of the delay beyond that, they didn't update is on the expected time delay and they never apologized for the delay. When we did finally get going the flight crew was very rude with asking people to sit back down. Worst of all was that after all of that they lost my luggage. Despite a 2 hour layover and 1 hour delay at the gate specifically because they weren't done loading the luggage Frontier couldn't manage to get my luggage from gate 42 to gate 44... The whole experience was awful. I would never fly with them again no matter how cheap the ticket."
Cons: "This was the oldest plane I had been on in quite a while. The tray tables where half the size of the regular ones and metal. There was hardly any legroom. There was absolutely no entertainment options. No Wi-Fi on the plane. And you had to pay for any snacks and drinks. Although I did get a great amount for the cost, I would have paid a little extra to fly a different airline in order to have Wi-Fi and entertainment options."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 hours, then we boarded the plane at 1:46AM. Only to have the flight cancelled. After 45min on the plane we had to get off and wait until 3:45AM to find out what the next step was (rescheduled for 11:30AM). Overall the communication and transparency around this ordeal was handled terribly. Staff had no plan to deal with situation, provided helpline numbers were useless, email/text communication of the rescheduling was nonexistent All of this is not even getting into the cheap service and setup of the flight itself. Will not be flying frontier again"

Now they charge $15-35 to get a seat,another $30-$35 to check or carry on each piece, and sit in uncomfortable seats that do not recline. These extra charges cause long delay at the check in counter even if I already checked in and only needed to check a bag because everyone else had to pay. Now I'll only fly Frontier if there is no alternative."
