I am extremely disappointed that Alaska Airlines has decided to drop their mask mandate. I was anxious the entire flight because there were people coughing and sniffling around me, completely maskless. Flight attendants were also mostly unmasked. I will not be taking another flight with Alaska until the mask mandate is reinstated.

Pros: "Very upbeat, efficient, and helpful crew"

Pros: "Crew was pleasant and very polite. I like that one carry on was included in my ticket. Enough leg room. Love the free in flight movies! Glad I didn’t have to purchase a beverage either."
Cons: "I will never understand the way boarding works. Did going from window groups, middle seat groups to aisle seat groups not work? I hate having to squeeze through and hope I don’t knock anyone in the face with my bag. I don’t like I can’t pick my seat and that my seatbelt is a little too tight. If I get a seat in the back I’m waiting for everyone else to get on and then for them to get off the plane. I guess I’ll have to pay the $75 fee for “first class” next time since that’s the only way to update my seat. And if I have a “saver rate” ticket - I should be able to still change my flight within 24 hours. I wanted to come back a day earlier and it was the same price! But I would’ve had to cancel and repurchase for an additional $200!!!"

Pros: "Everything was great! This was my first time flying Alaska Air and I could not have had a better trip! Everything ran according to schedule, I was comfortable during the flight, slept the entire time, staff was great!"
Cons: "The woman making announcements did not specifically announce the duration of the flight as we were departing. I was able to figure it out on the map option on the screen, but I would've liked to hear it verbally. Only suggestion I would have is an announcement on the plane for which baggage claim belt our luggage would come out of. I may not have heard it though, if there was an announcement. It was not difficult at all to figure out once I was in the baggage claim area, however if this was known while we were still on the flight, I prefer to know this info!"

Cons: "Had to pay additional $25 each for earlier flight then had seats behind a dog and toddler both unrestrained and noisy during a 3 1/2 hour flight. WiFi connection was very slow. Only water and one pack of crackers - on travel West via Delta, we had at least 2 offers of variety drinks and snacks."

Cons: "My luggage didn't make my connection so it was put on the first flight from PDX to SAN in the morning. The bag was scanned as arriving in San Diego, but it is lost and they think it's permanent. I had all my favorite things in my bag (it was a 10 day trip) and now I have to account for all of them, submit a claim and hope I'm reimbursed. It was a horrible end to an otherwise great vacation :("

Cons: "While traveling recently with Alaska Airlines, my traveling partner and I were offered seats in the exit row, by the lady who checks your boarding pass at the gate. We gladly excepted the roomier seating. We were issued new boarding passes, and made our way to our seats. Once we settled in, a flight attendant asked to see my boarding pass. She looked at it and said, "Yep Amber so-and-so, seat 17B." Apparently, the airline had combined 2 flights, so people were all crammed into a new tighter space. There was even a bumped "first class" customer all squabbling over the seats. My traveling partner and I, eventually just asked them to please give us our old seats back. Finally, we were seated in our original seats. We never asked to be moved in the first place, it was offered to us. The whole thing was humiliating, and unnecessary."

Cons: "I was sitting in the last row, next to the bathrooms. Since they did 4 in-flight beverages during the 5 hr flight, people kept getting stuck by the bathroom unable to get back to their seats. This seemed like an excessive amount of beverage services (contributed towards people needing to use the bathroom so much) and contributed to a bunch of people covering over my seat for most of the flight."
