When I booked with Kayak, I paid extra for a window seat for the long flight, so I could sleep more easily. But when I checked in, they changed my seat to a middle seat. This happened on both long flights to and from Chicago to Anchorage. For one flight, upon request they changed my seat back to a window seat. For the other, they would not and said the Alaska Airlines does not allow seat requests.....just disappointing.
Crew was not happy to be there and neither was I 😭 well at least the lady that helped me.. I was stuck in the middle seat between two men. Totally my fault since I didn’t pay a fee to select my seat though. I recommend paying the fee even if you’re in a budget. It’s better than being placed aaaaallllllll the way in the back next to the smelly bathrooms. The seats didn’t recline either!! It was a red eye flight so I got no sleep whatsoever. Ordered a coffee and it tasted like…. Let’s just say it was horrible. I had to to return it to the same crew lady and she looked at me like this girl…. Sorry but I was not going to drink that- please take it back!! Oh and lastly, my luggage was completely broken and damaged. All wheels were missing by the time my luggage came around in the luggage cart. Lmao. Overall poor experience to say the least. Tickets were cheap though😂😂😂
All airlines seem to be a scam with having to pay force assignment, baggage fees, and completely garbage food. Our flight attendants now seem to have a power trip complex. It’s clear they know we have no other choice if we want to travel so they don’t care and let you know it.
I recently flew with Alaska Airlines on a trip to Oregon and had a very frustrating experience that I hope the airline can learn from. I purchased upgraded seats with extra legroom for my flight, paying the additional fees for the comfort and space. During my trip planning, I called customer service to inquire about their pet travel policies and conditions, as I was considering bringing my dogs. However, I ultimately decided NOT to bring my pets and never authorized or confirmed any pet travel arrangements. Despite this, Alaska Airlines took it upon themselves to change my seat assignment without any notification or contact. When I arrived for my flight, I discovered that my paid upgrade had been downgraded to a regular seat - presumably because they assumed I would be traveling with pets based on my inquiry call. I hope Alaska Airlines will improve their communication processes and ensure that customer inquiries don’t automatically trigger booking changes without explicit customer authorization. Better staff training on distinguishing between inquiries and actual bookings would prevent this type of situation in the future. While I appreciate that the airline tries to accommodate pet travelers, making assumptions and changes without customer consent is poor service that needs to be addressed.
Overall it was good. There was a delay in departure, which is why I did not rate it as excellent.
Seats hurt and can't recline far enough no screens in the back of the seats food or snacks not good
Better could be service of your checking staff on the gait N15 at Seattle Tacoma airport... Flight AS 378 , 08/02/2025. Time 9.45 AM. I was very disappointed of their job.
It was a good flight, short so there was no food or water service
The customer service personnel were excellent. We had pre-ordered two meals but they could only provide one of them; they substituted the meal with a snack at no charge. Flight was on-time.
My 1.5 hr flight was 5.5 hrs delayed. We switched gates twice. We planed and deplaned once. Three total planes, two had “mechanical issues.” None of this even makes sense as the original plane was sitting at the gate since yesterday evening. Then when the second plane was finally brought to the gate from the hangar, it too needed repair. Don’t worry. They gave us a $12 foot voucher. All other flights in the same area of the terminal were hours delayed. It was an actual nightmare. This was after a few hours delay on my first flight a few days ago. And I thought that was bad.
Having to up charge for a seat assignment is not good. Delta can do better
I liked the friendliness of the staff. The cleanliness of all 3 planes.
Was charged for my luggage despite having been on one ticket from an international flight. Too tired to argue after 15 hours on flight. Was charged for rechecking it at JFK airport. Not sure why those off Kenya Airways were required to do that.
De planning was an absolute mess. We were never told that we weren’t at the gate and that we had to go down unstable stairs and then hop on a bus. People were falling, we couldn’t tell who was in charge. Overall terrible communication that ended up leaving a bad impression at the very end of the experience.
My experience on any Delta flight is always overshadowed by the time Delta removed me from a flight for no apparent reason.
Delayed and took off even later than the scheduled delay time
For a 69 year old with health problems I had the worse experience, no wheelchair when I entered a lady told me to sit and wait while a gentleman told me I had to walk to the Delta station, which I did. I had a carry on and a bag, and I was traveling with my service dog, which was on his carrier and the lady charged me for my carry on luggage, beside all the waiting cause of the delay, I had to walk to get my luggage cause no wheelchair showed up, I am so disappointed. I will get in touch with the company. I got home at 3:00 am, not good for my health situation.
Great experience on Delta. Staff from baggage check to flight attendants were very courteous and professional. My only issue was a personal preference for pretzels instead of the chips and cookies that were offered.
There was no problems, just a little uncomfortable with seats that do not lay back a little
Always good but we must do something about people in rows ahead of you that don't put their seats back up when they are suppose to. And It's rough to not be able to even lean over to get something out of my purse.
