Cons: "SAS has introduced hand luggage measurement and weighing at checkin, for a maximum of 17.5 lbs or 8 kg. SAS does not care if you have flown on another transatlantic carrier, which allows more than 8 kg. Then you need to start emptying your hand luggage at checkin. The whole checkin process was a big mess, the contract employees eg. at Heathrow do not help much (they probably do not do this to any other airline). SAS staff does not remind you to take your IDs and passport, medications etc. from your hand luggage, which is then checkedin luggage as opposed to hand luggage. It is obvious that transatlantic passengers have more hand luggage than many local passengers."

Iceland Air didn't have a representative at the gate in MSP (instead, they seem to have contracted employees from Sun Country to manage check-in and boarding) so they knew nothing about any connection flights and couldn't help us whatsoever."

We were very late for our plane, but they held it for us. Finally, although the interior of the plane was new and well appointed, the bottom seat cushion had very little cushioning. Compared to other airlines it was hard."

The customers were "sorted" but I finished up on a very long line with only one person serving; after 30 minutes, that person just wandered off, presumably for a break. We, on the queue waited for 15 minutes for a new person to return. When it was my turn to check in the process took no more tan 30 seconds whilst for others it had taken 10 minutes and more. Dreadful experience. The choice of entertaining films was limited on my flight; normally AC has a wide choice."

So we decided to book a hotel for the night through Kayak and paid over $200. Went to the hotel and were told there were no more rooms available until the next day. We called kayak customer support and they wouldn't refund our money!! Horrible experience never again! Never flying Air Canada again !!"

She got us to Winnipeg on a midnight flight and we then booked a $1400 Delta flight to Minneapolis from there. We needed to be there by 10 am to attend the legal adoption ceremony of my daughter's infant son. It was very close but we made it. On top of that they sent my bag to Buenos Aires which was the planes next destination. My bag was eventually brought to my home. Overall the experience with Air Canada has been horrible. It was stressful because I had one night before I was leaving for a back country trip and the " lost" bag had " no hits" when the bar Cade was scanned. Cons: "11:45pm flight delayed by over two hours! Boarding was unorthodox and time consuming given the arrival of the delayed flight. Due to the delayed arrival of the aircraft at Los Angeles, the gate assignment was given to another aircraft and we had to board a bus and be ferried to a remote field at LAX that was literally 15 minutes a way by bus in order to board the flight to Toronto. The boarding process was incredibly time consuming and inconvenient. Flight ended up departing Los Angeles at 2:15am."
