Cons: "even though I was in Delta One -- the seats in the reclined position were kind of narrow, arm rests in the way made it difficult to turn over, IF I were trying to sleep. but i loved being in first class -- the only way to go on a long flight :)"

I would rather be hours late getting home than feel like my life was possibly gambled with. I have my pilot's license so I am not unfamiliar with having to create an alternate flight plan when inclimate weather strikes. However, this was scary. My boyfriend quietly had a panic attack while we were on board. Would not fly Delta again because of this experience."

Cons: "Delta lost the plane for over an hour. After already spending 10 hours in ATL because of an earlier delay due to human error I was extremely disappointed in Delta that my flight out of Atlanta was delayed by an hour because they LOST the plane and couldn’t find it or the truck to bring it to the gate. This kind of error on Xmas eve is embarrassing. Delta didn’t do anything for the passengers affected by this. I was dumbstruck by the apathy of the Delta employees at the gate (the exception was the flight crew, who tried to get the aircraft there earlier). Because Delta did nothing but make error after error I arrived at home 11 hours later than my original flight was booked for on Christmas Eve, missing Christmas Eve Services and family traditions. When I need to get somewhere on time I’ll never rely on Delta after this experience."

Cons: "Let me just say that I’m a loyal Delta costumer until now. The flight attendants (the two women) were an absolute nightmare. They were so rude and condescending. I was carrying with me my service dog and a bag containing an expensive medication (it couldn’t go on the top bin). Despite being in the comfort class and having the seat next to me empty, we were tight for space. The flight attendants were unreasonable and forced me to put my medication on the top bin despite the fact I had told them it was extremely delicate, that it that to go upright, and that I needed to keep it with me. They did not listen and pressured me into giving them the medication. The medication could have easily gotten broken. Thankfully it didn’t but this is no way to treat a human being."

I wish Southwest flew to Madison."

Cons: "I was apparently "flagged" by British Airways for extra security checks. As I understood it in London, I was randomly selected for this security check. This then apparently meant that I was to be flagged for all subsequent flights. This meant that in Chicago, after going through two other security checks that day (Zurich and London) and completing customs, I had to engage in a full Homeland security check. This involved removing protective covers from my laptop and phone that were hard to get off (not meant to be taken off regularly) and a full body search that I did not have to do in London. After many hours of traveling, this was very a frustrating experience."

Cons: "Plane left because pilot was late, little to no legroom for a 6"2 person. Boarding procedure is a joke. Instead of their group system the plane should be boarded from the back. By the time group 8 comes on board there is no room in the overhead bins."

Cons: "Without notice or warning, I was required to pay $200 for my dog, tranferring from Alaska Air, to ride in cargo for the 2nd leg of my trip. My fare was approx. $84. They would not accept cash, but made me spend another $5 on a "gift card," because I don't own credit cards. Rude, uncaring, marginally competent ground crew."

Cons: "The flight was cancelled. Transferred to Delta Air Lines and had no problem.. American Airlines kept us in the JAN airport way too long without helping us. fortunately Delta had a flight."

Pros: "NOTHING AA IS THE WORST. This is my 2ND AA experience within a 5 month time period and the first experience i tried brushing under the mat as it was bad however this one TAKES THE CAKE"
Cons: "The airport staff after TSA are RUDE! I was suppose to leave from one destination to another, last night. AA rebooked me without my consent and assumed i would be ok taking a later flight 24hrs later. After hassle, i thought i received a perfect flight which would get me to my destination A WEDDING at that in time. However, i have been rebooked over 5x in under 24hrs and still at the airport from 9hrs later! They do not compensate you and do not even extend the offer!"

Cons: "I didnt like that we were an hour and a half delayed and we werent informed why. Then as I am trying to update my pickup person one of the crew members was really rude and I tried to explain and it didnt help. She was rude infront of all the passengers. Not planning to fly in AA anymore."

Pros: "An elderly lady sitting next to me with a broken arm.....was approached by the flight attendant and the flight attendant was so considerate that she took the lady to the empty seat in first class!!! I noticed this kind gesture and noted it to the flight attendant. She told me sometimes folks get upset asking why they did not get the upgrade! It amazes me....I always think if that were my mother how would I want to be treated!!! CUDOS to this Flight attendant....Thank you AA for making this gesture and God Bless you all!"
Cons: "Surprise....American Airlines no longer food nor one bag free! Well if you can stomach the not even a snack nor one bag...then Fly AA so not so bad after all. But Gate agents, baggage handlers, pilots and flight attendants take away any negatives whatsoever! Great work AA."

Everyone really loved working for American, which tells me it's an employee sensitive and supportive company, and that is reflected in their attitude which is what makes my trip so pleasant. I love the darkening windows - great for daytime flying back from Europe when the whole plane becomes tranquil! Food was very good on this flight! Pilot spoke very clearly and was very informative."

Cons: "The aircraft was downgraded, so there were 12 "overbooked" seats. The flight was delayed several times, with each new delay only being acknowledged after the previous departure time had already passed. Eventually, the flight was "delayed" to 3:15, but then it was bumped BACK to 2:45, so one woman ended up missing the flight because she had gone to the lounge based on the 3:15 departure. I accepted a voucher, but as the original flight kept getting delayed and I couldn't receive the voucher until the doors closed, I almost missed the flight I was rebooked on. If airlines would just communicate better (e.g., tell us there's a delay *before the departure time has passed*), people would be much more willing to deal with the hassle."

Cons: "The AA station in Madison (MSN) is notoriously SLOW in downloading bags from the plane and getting them to the baggage claim. So far this flight ot is about 30 minutes from when the plane pulled into the gate and still no bags yet."

Cons: "AA used a ground hold in ICT. Was told connection to Flint would not be a problem. When I got off of plane in Chicago the flight Flint had already pushed back. Could either wait for the next Flint flight that would get in at about midnight and risk not having a rental car or take an earlier flight to Detroit and pay $85 for dropping rental car off at Flint."

Cons: "The third party agent, webjet.com, was horrible. American airlines contacted them several times about canceling the ABQ-ORD flight and they never responded. WEBJET.COM did not put their name on the electronic ticket so I was unaware of who to contact. Finnair was not particularly helpful. They discontinued my chat conversation and didn't have an option to call back so I had to wait for 20 minutes. American Airlines was impressively helpful. They figured out that WEBJET.COM had canceled one leg of our fight and AA.com reinstated the flight. American had also contacted WEBJET.COM numerous times and WEBJET.COM had never responded."

Cons: "Only one plane really gave me a bad experience. The plane was pretty old and cramped and the crew was very rude. Maybe they were having a bad day or didn't want to be in the old plane either, but their performance was bad. One of the attendants, I think his name was Juju, asked me is a soft voice if I would like a drink. With the engines roaring in the background I thought he asked have you been served a drink? I responded "No, I have not." And he started off serving everyone else. I had to call him and asked if he was skipping me and he replied "I asked you if you wanted a drink and you said No!" I explained the engines were loud and I mistaken his words and with an attitude he served me a drink. For the whole 9hr flight I avoided him at all cost and just responded to the other attendants. The other attendants seemed annoyed and would roll their eyes or make a face when people would try to pass them on the aisle, but I in their defense, they were moving a large cart in a small aisle. Passengers should have waited until the aisle was clear before moving. That was my only issue. The next flight was better with no problems."

Would seem like they could set up the system to assign people to seats in the aisle/window first and then start putting them in the middle. We all moved before takeoff, but it would make things quicker and easier if they assigned seats in a more logical way."

Cons: "Newark Airport is the worst, and that is not United's fault. However, I'm new to the experience of 'boarding' onto a bus that then takes us to load onto the plane from the Tarmac. Small plane - no frills like wifi, magazines but still a 2+ hour flight."

It’s around -10 degrees outside so the guys getting our bags are saints and the delay is to be expected, but the buzzer..."

Cons: "all flights from Madison to Chicago ended up being canceled, but they did not tell us until around 430pm. I ended up having to take a bus after waiting in the airport for 4 hours. If I had taken the bus as soon as I arrived I would not of missed my job interview."

Cons: "I didn't like that my flight got canceled and rebooked 3 different times. My final flight got delayed 8 times. I, a 22 young woman traveling alone, got stranded in Washington traveling from New York at 1am because of weather. United didn't give me money for a cab, couldn't help me with a hotel since they were all full and told me they wouldn't be refunding my pet deposit or help with my next flight out pet deposit. I wish I could give them less than 1 star overall. They didn't care about my well being or safety at all. Very disappointed United"

Cons: "Airline did not provided information ahead of time related to carry on being checked on the gate bc of size. My carry on was small and still was checked at the gate because the aircraft did not have space for it. I was not provided with that information ahead of time"

Pros: "Absolutely nothing, the flight was cancelled and the airline offered little or no assistance."
Cons: "The flight was cancelled and we needed to return home for work the next day. It was the last flight out so we asked about a ground transportation voucher. The telephone agent told us to see the customer service rep at the terminal counter. After waiting inline for almost 45 minutes we asked an agent who was standing there about a voucher. She checked with a supervisor and said they would not provide them, we would have to wait to see an agent. Rather than miss the next bus to be delayed another 2 hours waiting for someone to tell us they wouldn't do anything for us, we left the line and purchased bus tickets. We had to pick up our luggage at the airport because we 'missed' our flight rather having it delivered. We understand flight cancelations but at no time during the process, especially at the airport, did we ever get the impression that anyone cared about us or what happened to us. We will avoid this airline."
