Didn't get the seats my wife and originally booked with China Southern/Delta, but the substitution was quite adequate! Problems with checking in on flights, as neither airline seemed to be able to deal with this split ticket! But they tried very hard to make thing up to us, which goes a long way to making us feel like we are valued customers!"

It arrived back to Salt Lake late causing the Dallas flight to leave late. I got a message at 6:24 pm regarding the late departure for the 8:15 pm flight to Dallas. They knew this info hours before. It should have been communicated sooner"

Cons: "Planned my trip for my birthday/10 year anniversary. The first leg of the trip, flying from ft Lauderdale to atlanta was ok except for the pilot having to circle around bc he was too close to the airplane in front to land. This made us supposedly late to our connecting flight which by the way was not supposed to leave before 8:10. My husband and I arrived at the gate about 10 minutes before only to be told that the door was locked. Needless to say, we weren't the only ones. When we got up to the desk, the attendant was extremely rude. I was having a conversation with my husband about a dog that had just passed us . She immediately made her way into the conversation asking me what i was saying. I told her I was talking to my husband about the dog and under her breath said : " I'm sure you were." I then told her that i was more than sure about what I was talking about. We get booked on another flight and my seat was the only one without a working monitor. We asked the suitardess to see o If there was anything that could be done They tried to reset it to no avail. Since we didn't say anything else, it was forgotten about. My husband shared his screen with me so that I wasn't totally bored on the flight. Not the way I wanted to start off my birthday but I'm glad that nightmare is over Delta really needs to retrain their employees on customer service bc it leaves a lot to be desired!"

Cons: "Flight was delayed due to weather. That is understandable. However the crew was not helpful in sharing any information with customers about changes to connecting flights. Much time was wasted and I had to reschedule my flight. The staff members that booked my hotel and my new flight were short and brief and not very helpful or accommodating or informative. Overall I didn’t not feel like a welcomed guest and I do not feel enough compensation was offered for such an inconvenience. Not being able to have my bag overnight was a hassle. I had no clean clothes and had to throw out my contacts because I had no solution. I also couldn’t use the meal voucher they gave me because everywhere in the airport was closed by that time. No stipend was given for toiletries or food delivery. Very unimpressed."

Cons: "American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me."

The AA member then said "how many have you had?" Wow would be an understatement. We had been gate tied due to maintenance for over 30 minutes."

The headphone connection was broken on the plane so I had to constantly try to move my headphone plug in around to make sure the sound was at least coming through one ear."

Cons: "The flight was cancelled. Transferred to Delta Air Lines and had no problem.. American Airlines kept us in the JAN airport way too long without helping us. fortunately Delta had a flight."

Cons: "AA has nine boarding groups, which queue up in two lanes. Each of the two lanes hold about 5 people, at most. This is ridiculous. It creates enormous crowds of people jockeying to be near the tiny lanes for when their number is called 5 or 10 minutes down the line. AA needs to reduce the number of boarding groups, lengthen the lanes, and provide more of them. No other airline boards this way. That's because this boarding method is stupid. Unsurprisingly, our plane took off late because they couldn't get everyone boarded in time."

Cons: "The overhead space was smaller on this plane and as I learned on my trip to DTW my weekender carry-on would not fit with my shoes in it. Because of this, I pulled my shoes out and put them in a collapsible bag that fit under the seat in front of me along with my small personal bag as I had done on my previous flight. However, the gate agent would not allow me to board the plane and would not listen to my explainations at all as I tried to keep the boarding process moving along. She kept repeating "you have 3 bags" and made me steep out of line and check my carry-on (which I would then have to pick up at baggage claim). When I asked why I couldn't get out on the jetway like she had done for other passengers she said, " I only did that for airline employees" (quick happened to be a flight attendant from Spirit). My overall experience on both flights to and from Detroit was that the gate agents and flight attendants were the most unhelpful and rude airline employees I have delt with and I will stick to my preferred carrier, Delta, for my future flights back and forth to Detroit. They certainly make me feel like a valued customer when I fly them, which I did not feel with American."

Cons: "My flight ended up being canceled due to weather which was understandable. I explained to the attendant at the counter that I had to get to Denver because I had my brother who is a minor meeting me at the airport in Denver and I did not want him alone by himself in a place he'd never been. when trying to reschedule my flight at the counter the attendant was rude and told me I had to call united myself to reschedule my flight. I was on the phone with them for over 45 minutes just to be told there was nothing they could do to help me. They said they had one flight leaving the next morning to denver but it was completely full. Which defeated the purpose because I was going to have to fly back home the following Sunday. So I stuck around and tryed to find a flight to Denver and I over heard the couter attendant book another customer to Denver for that evening when I was told I had to call united myself and pretty much was told I could not be helped. I ended up having to pay another airline 538 dollars to fly my brother to Tulsa instead so he wouldn't be stranded in Denver because I wouldn't get there till the following day. I'm very disappointed in united and there lack of customer service. I especially don't like being told I can't be helped when the attendant at the ticket counter clearly helped someone else. I am so disappointed in my experience with united and will never fly with them again."

I was also allowed to board the wrong flight, and sat there until another customer boarded with the same seat assignment. If that hadn't happened, I would've flown all the way to Oklahoma on the wrong flight, with no luggage. Not to mention, it's probably a lapse in security. That's how I learned that my flight was canceled.The United phone line was not helpful. Then, I stood in line FOREVER. After 2 hours of standing in line, they set up a dedicated line, and all of a sudden it was helpful. I'm never not flying southwest again. I'm praying my luggage makes it to where I'm going. AND no wifi on either flight. That really sucks."

I went to the lady at the front to see how much longer I had before boarding so I could figure out it I had enough time to get tea. When I asked her she signed really loudly and said five minutes. When I turned around, I looked over my shoulder and she was rolling her eyes at the guy next to her. I get that she probably has to do that a lot, but I spent money to use United and she shouldn't have responded a rude attitude or rolled her eyes. She has a job to do like everyone else."

Pros: "Our flight was delayed for four hours. However, an attendant at the United Airlines counter was kind enough to go ahead and book us for a later flight out of Houston so we would make it home without much of a delay. Overall everyone was very nice and helpful."

Pros: "There was finally a personal screen on this 15 hours flight, unlike the previous."
Cons: "Food options on this particular flight was not as good as other United flights. There was a crew member who refused to help a traveller up her bag in the overhead storage compartment because "you packed it your self, so you should be able to put it up your self". It wasn't a unreasonable request to begin with...."

Cons: "Staff at General Mitchell airport (MKE) United counter were not knowledgeable and the check in process was very frustrating. There were not many people at the check in counter, but it took us 30 minutes to check in once we were at the counter working with the check in clerk."

Cons: "The plane was tiny, old, and had an awful odor. The odor did not come from a passenger, it was the plane itself. The flight was turbulent, and the combination of turbulence and the odor was highly nauseating. The seats were small, old, and uncomfortable. I am a tiny woman and found the seats to be too small, I can only imagine what larger people must feel like. I kept bumping the stranger next to me, and visa versa."
