Pros: "Although there were delays they kept us informed on a regular basis as to what to expect and seemed genuinely apologetic for any inconveniences. Boarding and deplaning were smooth and efficient. I really appreciated that there was no charge for checking a bag. I am certain that contributes to the ease of everyone getting on and off the plane. Our bags arrived at baggage claim about the same time we got there. I would definitely fly with Virgin Atlantic again."

The couple ignored the instructions to move seats forward during meals making it impossible to eat. They placed their luggage in the overhead compartment belonging to both rows, which wasn't a problem if they hadn't proceeded to open and close the compartment every 20 minutes. The 300 pd dad repeatedly stepped on my broken toe while reaching for his luggage, while rattling around and disturbing sleeping passengers. And, sadly the child repeatedly threw temper tantrums without any care or effort of intervention from the parents. In short, they terrorized the surrounding travellers. In contrast, my outbound flight, also had a family seated in the row directly in front. This family was the antithesis, considerate and respectful of their fellow passengers. Susan Laws"

Was not able to get more than one glass of wine, even though I missed the first beverage service, that is my fault though, but I don't recall it being an issue getting a drink between services. Entertainment systems had contrast issues and it seemed like a lot of people 8 - 10 had issues since they were using iPads instead of the built in monitors. A lot of wear showing on the entertainment systems remotes."

DO NOT TRUST VIRGIN TO HANDLE LUGGAGE."

Cons: "Flight was delayed out of St. Louis causing several of us to miss our connecting flight from Salt Lake City to Portland. Delta was of very little help in assisting us in making a connecting flight. They could have at least helped with travel arrangements and provided us with a little food, a pillow and a blanket as we waited in their terminal for the next flight on their airline which was a several hour wait. I understand these things happen but the passengers didn't cause the problem and Delta needs to take care of people better if they expect to earn repeat business."

Cons: "We lost our whole vacation and had to pay for the plans fare twice because My last name was spelled wrong on our tickets and we were unable to use them because my passport didn’t match the name on the ticket. We had to rebook everything pay almost twice as much for the plane fare, our Lodi g cost more and our trip was delayed for two weeks. Vyama is blaming us for spelling our name wrong and claimes that it’s our fault this happened because everything is automated. There saying they don’t touch anything that we enter into the booking but somehow everything they claim we entered is now in all capital letters and the space between our first name and middle name is now gone and all run together. The coustomer service number gets you to someone in India. I have tried to get this addressed four times now at first they tried to place the responsibility on the airlines now us and they have hung up on me twice. Kayak has been worthless, they also just pass the responsibility on to someone else. We will never use them again ant I intend to make sure that this mess is put out in social media to hopefully keep others from having their travel plans ruined by their flawed system."

The original flight was still available & they would not let me take it despite my reservation paper work. CRAZY! I have a two hour drive to the airport this gave me the option to leave home at 2:30am or go the night before and pay for a hotel. Flight was managed by DELTA who also did not care! All involved blamed each other. Beware"

They are so strict with liquids that all baby foods had to put in a separate bin and we had to go to another security point for clearance. It took 2.5 hours to go through all that, that is with wheelchair priority! Boarding was horrible at the gate."

Cons: "First of all my booking didnt have a checked bag included !! Since when british air do not include checled bags in their tickets . Second its way too expensive to add the baglike 100$ for each flight !! 400$ for me and my wife !! Third when i checked in and wanted to chose my seat 50$ each !!!"

Cons: "I am a 5’8 woman- pretty slim. I had a window seat in the main cabin. I barely fit! But the guy in the isle was bigger and had to wedge himself into his seat. As a result, I couldn’t leave my seat for the entire 9 hour flight. Come on BA! Have some compassion! These long flights need bigger seats."

Pros: "Wonderful crew and flight. A380 smooth and quiet"

Pros: "Crew was wonderful, the boarding process was efficient. Heathrow Terminal 5 was chaotic and there are minimal amenities once you leave the main terminal to reach your gate."
Cons: "This was a codeshare flight operated by British Airways. The plane was an older, uncomfortable 747-400. I'm not sure how old it was, but there were ashtrays affixed to the doors of the bathrooms. It departed and arrived close to an hour late. There were also a number of hyper social passengers onboard who gathered in the aisle or near the exit doors drinking liberally and socializing loudly. While the excellent flight crew tried to manage them, they were undeterred. Food was mediocre. My entertainment screen didn't work, the passenger in front of me fully reclined their seat prior to takeoff (during the delay) and didn't return it to upright until moments before landing. All and all an unpleasant journey."

Cons: "Paying $275 to upgrade and experiencing one of worst flights and service I’ve travelled. No water supply for hot beverages, wash hands or brush teeth during eight hour international flight, not given special diet meal requested as crew unable to locate it, Entertainment monitor not working or housed in seat back correctly to adjust angle, remote handset buttons barely working to watch or make selections, unable to call cabin crew who did not visit through cabin for approximately two and half hours as ‘assumed most passengers were sleeping’, no wine choice only Sauvignon blanc and I wanted Chardonnay so had nothing. Breakfast ‘special diet request’ meal was cold hard bagel with colourful lump of cream cheese, which seemed to be what everyone else had. No orange juice, grapefruit that can’t take medication with, so had nothing to drink except allotted splash of water into small paper cup. Dreadful journey"

Cons: "Flight being changed three times and delayed multiple times. Not weather related. To top it off, the airline decides to leave my bag in the states because the flight was changed and I didn’t notify them; which of course is ignorant because they changed the flight and didn’t even notify me."

Pros: "You get what you pay for, the price for this flight was resolved able."
Cons: "There was limited time to manage credit cards and give out snacks. There really needs to be a better system."

Pros: "The flight was delayed due to a thunderstorm, something out of the control of BA or LHR Airport, but the crew never seized to deliver a superior service with a warm smile on their face even when the heat was unbearable coz the AC wasn’t working. The captain frequently gave us updates and even walked around the plane to answer our questions! Superior customer service..."
Cons: "My biggest complaint was that there was no AC while we were stuck for almost one hour on plane! BA should ensure that their planes are properly prepared for similar situations"

Cons: "They cancel my flight the day before"

Cons: "The food service had problems. When they got to our row they didn't have any more of our dinners left and without asking I was given a meal from first class with an entree I did not care for. My wife seated next to me gave me half of her entree. Then the snack towards the end of the flight I was given a burrito type thing without asking what flavor I wanted. All in all the food was poor and the attention to the passenger was poor also."

Cons: "Late. No other flights to Milan for 12 plus hours. Rerouted to a different airport. Rental car at Mxp so have to taxi back and forth. Missed tours etc. no apparent reason for being late. Weather was fine."

Pros: "I think people could entertain themselves but to me it is deplorable to not offer at least complementary water. Complementary coffee would be a nice touch too but at least water."

Cons: "A lot of flights park away from the terminal and you board a bus to get to/from the plane. No power outlets at seats."

Cons: "The credit/debit card machine didn't work on half the cards. It took about an hour for anyone to get food or a drink. The staff was more preoccupied with selling things than picking up the rubbish. It only takes a minute to walk down the aisle collecting cups and bottles. Some people never did have their items collected before the three hour flight ended."

Cons: "Flight attendant named IGOR skipped me when serving drinks and food. But then again when he he offered coffee, he again skipped my wife who was beside me. When I asked for coffee for my wife and that then again skipped us, he just responded, sarcastically, "Really?, really?" What a fool!"

Cons: "Check in took forever. I wasn't able to check in online and was told "this is the price you pay" when I received word that my wife and I wouldn't be sitting together. Then we went to board far later than we were supposed to. After boarding the plane we sat for easily a half hour not moving with no information. Then find out there is scheduled maintenance which would be another hour. AC was shut off and got hot. Started to deplane but we were in back and didn't make it because they reveresed their decision. Got back on and said we would be leaving shortly. In all we say on the plane over 3 hours prior to take off. Never flying with your company again. Easily the worst experience flying ever."

Pros: "Everything was good on this flight. The staff were excellent, very professional, and were very helpful. When they heard about our plight at LHR Term. 5 when connecting to this flight, they were very considerate and offered to send in a report (still waiting for the result of this, no contact yet 6 days later). Again, the luggage space and lie-flat seats (Club World) and meals (except my gluten-free meal) were very good, as was entertainment and cleanliness of the plane and lavs. This flight was supposed to be delayed by two hours, but in the end, they managed to take off at the originally scheduled time. More good news: the flight was smooth and arrived on time and most importantly, safely. Luggage arrived quickly and in good condition on the carousel. BA is really good!"

Pros: "The American Airways gate agent was very helpful fixing the problem that British Airways created. She went out of her way to get me booked on AA flights to catch my BA flight from London to Riyadh."
Cons: "My original flight was cancelled and the first available flight was 3 days later. BA booked me on the flight but failed to change my ticket from the original flight causing me to miss the flight from Kansas City. At the airport BA agent told me on the phone that I would have to wait 3 more days after I had already waited 3 days because BA canceled my original flight. Because of the flight cancelation I missed two days of work and because of the failure to ticket my following flight I almost missed a full week of work. The BA booking person seemed content that there was no way I could make it to Saudi prior to the end of the week. Fortunately, the AA agent was able to find a way for me to continue my trip on a later flight."

However her comment was more annoying - no sorries - not apologies - just said - "oh it's just water - it is refreshing" - Seats pushback was almost broken - it would break your thumb to push the button and then almost stand to push the seat back. - This was transatlantic flight and you charge for liquor? It is not free - you have to purchase - They ran out of red wine (which was free) by the end of the first meal. Do you keep just one bottle for this big 777 fight. - Overall experience was horrible."

Pros: "We boarded, then left on the plane for an hour, then offered the opportunity to unboard, then required to unboard. We left several hours late and missed our connecting international flight."
