Overbooked my flight. Wouldn’t give my three year old son and I a seat even though we paid and I checked in immediately with the email.
Easy comfortable flight with nice attendants.
Boarding was good and staff were excellent. The seats weren’t very comfortable.
We paid a significant premium for first Class tickets, but the coach customers were welcomed into the first class lavatory. We prefer in seat entertainment as we have small children who do not carry their own devices.
the self check kiosk froze at sfo, there was no staff there to assist. when i did flag down a staff member, he was rude. the flight was an hour abd 45 minutes delayed, with no explanation until we boarded. we still had to wait another 25 minutes on the plane, only to be told something vague about maintenance that needed to be signed off on. not a good experience
Initial check-in was terrible. Right before boarding we were told that you had to fill out a health questionnaire online and scan a QR code, if you didn’t do it you may not be allowed to enter the country. Staff who announced this was not at all helpful and there was no information about this when purchasing the ticket. When arriving in Mexico, nobody asked for this information. Once on the plane service was great.
Best experience to travel to Puerto Vallarta
Passengers not wearing masks and flight attendants didn’t enforce their rule. Also both legs of my flight were delayed and I ended up landing at my destination an hour late at almost 1am.

Pros: "In the early morning of my flight I received a text to inform me of a delay in the flight fro 12 pm to 2:25 pm same day with a phone number, so I called and there was a recorded message to confirm the delay. I got an hour early because it is a local flight to be told that I missed my flight. I did show them the text message, so they didn't know how I got it, the flight was delayed to 1:55 pm. They wanted to charge me $50 to reschedule me to the next flight at 7:58 pm, but after I insist that it is not my mistake, they waived it. I had to weight 6 hours in the air port. I was by the right departe gate, I looked at the screen couple of times to confirm that it is on time, everything was all right, until boarding time, everything changed and there were no departur... didn't hear any announcement, so I went to the customer service, to find that the gate has change!!! Lucky I was able to catch my flight... I will never fly Alaska again or reserve through Kayak..."

We then asked if we could get our money back being that if someone has specially helped us with our case only being 5 minutes late to check in, but they declined. We had to book an entirely different flight and still have not gotten our money back. It was very stressful and unprofessional and had someone actually helped us, we would’ve arrived at our destination at the proper time we worked so hard for. I know my boyfriend and I weren’t the only people with his problem because two other families ran into the exact same avoidable problem. It felt very unprofessional. It ruined a familys vacation and caused the poor children to cry because of the lack of accommodation. We would love our money back but not sure you guys will even do so. Very disappointing."

The flight never happened. Kayak you should know that as we asked you to get us a refund. I was told personally by Thew Avianca office in Cuenca that we are going to have to wait at least 4 months for the refund. This is not good enough. We are going to the credit card company, as obviously Kayak is not helping us with this issue. So HOW was my flight TERRIBLE !!!!!!!

Cons: "Upon arriving in Lima, Avianca 808 passengers became aware that none (zero, nada) of the bags were loaded onto the plane in Cusco. The customer service response to this airline error was sub-par. Passengers were told that the baggage issue was "weather-related", which is ludicrous even if the weather both in origin and destination had not been clear and sunny with no wind (it was). Info was taken on if passengers needed bags sent on to another destination or to a hotel but were told it would not get to Lima until the next morning (this was flight 808 landing just before 4 pm). Unclear why it couldn't be put on the next flight same day. And unclear what is happening to our bags now until the morning. No apology wasn't issued to passengers. Additionally we were delayed 15 mins due to "weather". I don't mind short delays but it was absolutely not weather-related. Weather is the default excuse to transfer fault away from themselves."

Comfortable. Attentive crew. Good communication ONCE ON BOARD. The bad: Truthfulness - we were told that our flight was delayed because the incoming aircraft was late. The United app and Flightaware both showed UAL 1918 from LIR to DEN (07/02/2022) arriving at 17:10, 13 minutes EARLY. Please don't lie to me. That's the worst thing a company can do is LIE to its customer base. Baggage claim - we waited 45 minutes after arriving at our gate to receive luggage at baggage claim. Then, woth a Prioiry tag from our 1st class purchase, our bags were some of the last to be on the carousel. This falls way short of expectations, especially when full 1st class fare was purchased.

Pros: "I am only 5'4" but the seat in front of me was broken. I had NO leg room. If you are going to squeeze your passengers in like sardines, the very least that you could do is make sure what little room you have left us isn't compromised by faulty equipment."

Cons: "In boarding, I was told the flight was overbooked and because I did not choose a seat prior to checking in that I would be placed on stand by after purchasing my tickets weeks before. I was highly upset and that was unfair. Long story short, at boarding they were able to give me a seat. I should have never went through that stress if I had a confirmed purchased ticket from the beginning."
Pros: "United switched my seats and made me sit apart from the person I was flying with because they overbooked the flight."
Pros: "The seats were very comfortable - there was ample leg room. The attendant that was handing out drinks and snacks was very nice."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, which I suppose wasn't the worst thing. I've had nicer attendants. Many people had to check bags due to there not being ample room in the overhead compartments, however when I was walking to my seat I couldn't help but notice that many people had stored their purses, backpacks, and jackets in the overhead compartments. Many people in the front didn't have anything at their feet which could have saved at least some people the hassel of having to check their bags when they hadn't planned on checking any at all. When I offered this idea to the flight attendant to see if he couldnt possibly make an announcement or if he could ask if anyone could move their stuff he simple answered "Well you know what? No one cares." Although I can understand that must be very frustrating for him and the other flight attendants, I thought the situation could have been handled a little bit better, perhaps there should be a better plan for a situation like this to make sure the room in the overhead compartments is used in the most efficient way."

Cons: "United is a poor carrier, there's nothing more to say. I struggled with my check in (I had just had a spine procedure done 48 hrs prior).... and by the time I got help from an agent it was 7:03 am, so... They wouldn't give me a boarding pass for my 8 am flight. Add to that an extremely rude ticket agent who couldn't care less about helping me, and almost seemed to enjoy my predicament, and that sums up my experience with this airline. I will never fly with them again, that's for sure; there's so many other airlines that actually care about their customers, this is not one of them."
Cons: "My flight was delayed by 3 hours which caused me to miss my connecting flight...needless to say I had to stay at the airport for 16 hours for another flight on another airlines"
