Cons: "Flight left on time."
Pros: "None stop flight"
Cons: "Delay and unorganized boarding."
Pros: "The crew was very good & a great selection of movies."
Cons: "More selection of snack would be great."
Pros: "Everything operated according to schedule."
Pros: "I was comped an upgrade to first class for the 25 minute flight. That’s something."
Cons: "A flight that was already 39 minutes late to board, was another 50 minutes late to take off. You really do get what you pay for."
Pros: "Nothing. Didn’t make the flight."
Pros: "Wonderful flight attendants in both our flights."
Cons: "Can't fly American Airlines without a flight delay. Have to plan flight delays into my trips because every time I fly American there is a delay. Certainly encourages me to fly other airlines."
Cons: "The on-boarding in Barcelona was a little odd. Instead of calling boarding by groups or zones it was a free for all. That could have been better organized"
Pros: "Pilot made up time from Montrose to Dallas. 737 is more comfortable than some of the planes in use currently."
Cons: "Customer service was bad"
Pros: "The flight itself was about as average as any other flight. At least all our luggage made it from the incoming flight from Key West to join us in Charlotte. That was our final destination but most of the passengers were making additional connections."
Cons: "The boarding went like the plane was ready to leave on time, except it didn't. There was a delay because the flight crew came from another arriving flight, so they had to go through the full pre-flight checklist. Then there was a "minor maintenance issue" that couldn't be fixed right away because it was "shift change" for the maintenance crews. Eventually they arrived and fixed whatever, while everyone was getting texts and alerts that kept delaying the departure by 15-minute intervals. Over an hour (while sitting in a warm plane) after the original scheduled departure, we left the gate, sat on the taxiway a while, then took off. Cabin crew only had cookies and drinks, no other snacks or food. All anyone got was an apology for the extended delay."
Pros: "Boarded on time, left on time, smooth flight, early arrival. What’s not to like? NB: Food on this short trip wasn’t available, thus wasn’t a thing, thus my low rating. Great bottled water, tho. ;)"
Cons: "All good!"
Cons: "Inside the airplane was freezing the whole trip"
Pros: "On time! That pretty much says it all. I think American did a great job at everything they had control of."
Cons: "Having connecting flights that seem like they are miles apart. I’m sure there is a good reason for this but it is annoying to have to change concourses at these huge airports."
Pros: "The flight was not filled with passengers, so a number of passengers had a whole row of three seats in the Dreamliner to sleep on."
Pros: "Can’t say anything good"
Cons: "When boarding crew was rude because carry on did not fit the overhead compartment. No options to choose from for entertainment. Flight was delayed almost an hour while sitting in plane. Food options almost nonexistent"
Pros: "Ease of check in"
Cons: "DIdnt understand why a seat as not assigned. A few people had the same issue and the gate agent suggested we may not get seats. Very stressful given he need to make an international connection. Gate service was not available early enough."
Pros: "Easy and quick boarding. Excellwnt service in first class. Comfortable ride."
Cons: "Nothing. Excellent travel experience."
Pros: "Timely. Plane on time. Crew very friendly and helpful"
Pros: "The flight was as advertised. Nothing particularly special other than reliable which was just fine with us."
Pros: "I'm gluten free & I don't eat pork so I would like a gluten free no pork option!"
Cons: "They broke a wheel on my luggage."
Pros: "The flight left on time - I do appreciate that."
Cons: "We were forced to check our Uppababy Vista stroller at EWR departures that we hoped to check at the gate. Needless to say this made it difficult to get our toddler through security. At baggage claim only half our stroller was there - they had disconnected the seat from the wheels. Luckily we spotted what looked like a similar frame to ours at the gate when we landed. It then took another forty minutes for the baggage claim office person to go through security, to the arrival gate and back to baggage claim."
Pros: "People actually boarded by group number"
Cons: "Sitting in premium economy still doesn't giive enough room to spread out papers and get work done. Out of four segments I only got upgraded once despite having 16 upgrades in my account."
Cons: "Oh Gina, I would have checked my bag if only you had looked up from your phone for a second!"
Cons: "I was unable to choose my seat, so my boyfriend and I had to fly cross country on opposite ends of the plane. There was a stewardess named Karen who was so rude. She clearly was not happy to be working, never smiled, and banged on the bathroom door while I was peeing because I was "not allowed to miss the instruction video." Had I not seen it a few hours earlier, I would have waited to use the restroom. Good thing they showed the same video three times in a row."
Pros: "Everythung was on time."
Cons: "The seats are much closer together ... so challenging for a 6' 2" male"
Cons: "I do not like that I am missed my flight and got stuck in a city without any re-embersement. I usually use United, but decided to use American Airlines this time. Sleeping in an airport tonight. Thanks."
Cons: "The entertainment system in my seat was broken. Was a bummer since we added a extra hour ground hold for weather."
Pros: "This plane seemed newer than the outbound one with better electronic controls Except for the baggage check in process, security etc. moved quickly and smoothly."
Cons: "Very long wait at the Check in Counter. I'm an AA member, (>20 yrs) but NOT eligible for Priority Check- in ? The Italian counter people sometimes took >10 min. to check in individual families. I saw two agents at one check in where the two seemed to just be chatting?! We were in that line over 45 minutes! Our own check in only took 15 seconds! Gates VERY far from the Check In counter."
Cons: "It was an eight and a half hour flight that took place in the night. My seat was broken so it did not recline. I also have trouble sleeping on flights and thought there would be the opportunity to watch TV/movies but this was not the case unless you wanted to pay extra. Most international flights already have this built in for free and should be included in the cost. What a disappointment flying on American was. I will take LAN or Copa from now on as my other options."
Pros: "The flight was a one way to PDX and felt fast and not exhausting coming from LHR. First time flying direct. Great food and snacks the staff took care of us. Bathrooms were cleaned over the trip which was great!"
Cons: "N/A - nothing..."
Pros: "The flight attendants were amazing. I enjoyed the in flight entertainment and overall flight. The flight was only a couple of hours so there were no meals. I enjoyed a hot cup of tea during my flight. I was able to take a quick nap during the initial flight and catch a movie on the way back."
Cons: "The terminal at LGA is undergoing renovations, I had to take a shuttle bus to my gate. The shuffle down stairs, bus ride, and lines for boarding were annoying."
Pros: "Crew was great, took off and landed early."
Cons: "Plane was very dated, food service was aweful..... bag of chips in first class."
Pros: "It was a very peaceful flight. The crew was extremely professional, and courteous, one of the members went out of her way, and frankly it was the kindest flight attendant has been to me in a while."
Cons: "The typical complaint you would hear regarding airplane food. Though, it does not warrant a true complaint of the flight."
Pros: "No comment."
Cons: "Due to flight delays and missed flight because of the delays, we had to rebook and reticket and took a different airline."
Pros: "The food and drinks were great. Flight left on time and arrived on time."
Cons: "This flight was actually on an American 777. One of the older models. For an almost 9+ hour flight, the in-seat entertainment systems need to be upgraded. The seats did not have USB charging capabilities, the selection of movies at the seat consisted of about 8 choices, and the screen size wasn't much larger than that of an iPhone 6 Plus. This was supposed to be a British Airlines flight, but it really was an American flight. I expected to be on a BA aircraft, which would have probably been upgraded."
Pros: "The in-flight entertainment, the refreshments, the staff."
Cons: "Flight was a little late. Flight also had many different boarding classes that were seated earlier than us - what seemed like an abnormal amount of loyalty/upgrade classes."
Cons: "Didn't ask for any food so can't rate that or entertainment"
Pros: "Nice staff"
Cons: "I have no complaints"
Pros: "prop plane small, noise, shaky no problem. Great connection, plane was not full."
Pros: "On time"
Pros: "I liked that the middle seat was open on my flight and that they checked my carry on for free because the plane was filled."
Cons: "I didn't like the minimal leg room. Also, there is no way to try and work on a computer anymore because of the lack of room."
Pros: "Everything in business class!"
Pros: "Flight never happened, can I give 0 stars?"
Cons: "The flight was delayed three times and ultimately cancelled. I got no notification of the cancellation, only found out because I was constantly checking. Ticketing agents in the airport were overwhelmed and ignored most passengers, on the phone they were useless and offered no solution. I was attending a family funeral in the morning and after American offered no options I rented a car (another huge expense) and drove all night to get the my destination."
Cons: "It was terrible. A missing flight attendant caused an extra delay in departure. Missed connecting flight. American Airlines was not prepared to assist all the stranded travelers. Had to spend night in the airport until I could get on a flight the next day. This was not what I paid for."
Cons: "If it wasn’t 3 hours late."
Cons: "More drinks, snacks"
Pros: "Good legroom,"
Cons: "Older aircraft, tray tables not level, rear washrooms no water, delayed departure"
Cons: "No delays"
Cons: "Waiting for a plane to go that wasn’t ready to move, going for 2 rounds of de-icing when the 1st wore off, losing our place in line. Should have waited a little longer at 1st de-icing so we could have left in allotted time period (20 minutes after application). Also fairly certain we left Toronto Airport past the 20 minutes of 2nd de-icing. Which resulted in many passengers missing connection flights (myself included) with as much as a “We are sorry” from Air Canada. I know the weather was an issue, but wasn’t sole cause."
Pros: "Crew as always with air Canada were very accommodating. Always smiling!"
Pros: "On time and new plane"
Cons: "Nothing much"
Pros: "The team was very professional and friendly"
Pros: "Crew was very professional but no explanation of why it took out 30+ mins overtime to depart nor why we were held from landing another 30+ mins."
Cons: "The wifi never worked and the attendant did not really care"
Pros: "on time"
Pros: "Ease of flying right from and to home"
Pros: "Beautiful new 787"
Cons: "Entertainment options could be more plentiful."
Pros: "Entertainment and crew helped make the situation better but a 3 hour delay made my experience unpleasant."
Pros: "Organised zones for boarding"
Cons: "i am à French National ( France) living in UK. After a confusing conversation from the officer not understanding that I was not travelling to France ( assumption) I was asked to show evidence I had the right to enter UK !!!! I explained I lived there permanently ; I was then asked why French hate English so much!!! To which I explained only narrow minded people would believe so and that the style of her comment were not appropriate . I explained my children were half French half British and that her comment was offensive ."
Pros: "its was smooth"
Cons: "Wifi didn’t work after I paid for it"
Cons: "Paid full fare ticket and boarding as a Zone 5."
Pros: "I like the service I receive ."
Cons: "I didn't like the walking to and from the plane."
Pros: "Prompt.. Cleaning"
Pros: "Calgary air port was very beautiful. I did enjoy movies."
Pros: "Since it was very hard to sleep in the airport due to issues caused by air canada, I slept almost the entire flight."
Pros: "It was a normal flight. Only one hour."
Cons: "Snack options could have been better, only a biscuit."
Pros: "It was smooth and great trip."
Pros: "Liked everything about this new class of service on Air Canada. Seat was comfortable with good recline that didn't interfere with fellow passengers. Food was excellent, entertainment system was well stocked, flight attendants were friendly and high energy. Even got to use lounge and fast-track security lane at Heathrow."
Cons: "Zero complaints."
Cons: "Plane was too small with extra small overhead bin. We were asked to keep Cabin Luggage beneath our seats even though it fits the prescribe dimension. Return flight was first late then was told that the Restroom inside the plane is not working which is weird (atleast i never experienced this before)."
Pros: "Crew was great!! Smooth landing!!"
Cons: "See above."
Pros: "The seating on the airbus 319 in main cabin is very cramped. Prefer Westjet 737. Will use them in future."
Cons: "Hey there good Air Canada folks. I'm a full-time, working, touring musician. I enjoy flying your airline overall, but touring with an acoustic guitar and/or a banjo is constantly stressful. There are clear guidelines about your policies for musical instruments posted on your website, yet your employees never seem to know them. Please have something posted for them at the gates, so I don't have to convince them EVERY TIME that it's okay for me to carry on my instrument in a soft case. A side note: Since airlines started charging for baggage, people are desperate to carry on as much as possible. This means there is always a struggle now against people with a bunch of clothing and personal items in their rolling luggage, to fit the instrument that is my LIVELIHOOD on the plane. Please find a way to make touring with Air Canada easier for musicians. At least return to gate check policies."
Pros: "The landing of the aircraft was second to none when we landed in Calgary."
Cons: "The seats we were sitting in were uncomfortable. There seemed to be a ridge near the back of the seat cushion and it was very uncomfortable for the entire trip."
Cons: "My seat partner had a dog with her. I like dogs but it was more of a irritant and distraction, didn't seem that nice for the dog either. What happened to the pretzel/nut snacks?"
Cons: "See the above review"
Cons: "Delayed as usual for AC"
Pros: "The 787 aircraft. What a beautiful plane"
Cons: "Calgary airport. NEVER AGAIN!"
Pros: "Good service, nice seat"
Pros: "very pleasant"
Cons: "nothing really"
Cons: "The screen was not responding well"
Pros: "Nice staff. Efficient boarding."
Cons: "No basic food for free."
Pros: "Everything was as scheduled"
Cons: "Nothing really"
Pros: "Eventually they got us there."
Cons: "They cancelled the sat flite. Little communication . Left us after 6 hours and 11 pm to fend for our selves with no luggage. No compensation. It was awful."
Cons: "Engine noise unbearably loud French safety demonstration Restrictions around wearing headphones"
Cons: "LGA Gate #6 and #7 to cold, people were freezing. Also, those two gates are like cattle barn."
Pros: "On time, excellent flight."
Cons: "There was only a very limited choice of movies to select from."
Pros: "Everyone was very kind and helpful. I am glad to try Air Canada for thw first time this time."
Pros: "The boarding ran smoothly and the employees were very nice and helpful."
Cons: "On this flight you had to have an iPad or iPhone to enjoy the entertainment, and I had neither."
Pros: "Boarding was fine. The food was not good and the flight attendants sat in the back of the plane instead of bringing drinks and food for a ten hour flight. We lost a day of vacation due to Air Canada not being held accountable for the flight being late as well as sitting on the Tarmac at Haneda airport."
Cons: "We sat on a Tarmac at another airport for five hours without knowing how long we would be there. Also, there was only one crew member that was helpful. Our flight was supposed to land at 2:20 pm and did not land until 10:30 pm at Narita airport. We were not compensated and were abandoned by Air Canada. We had to sleep in the airport since everything was closed."
Cons: "No variety in menu for a long time (business class)"
Pros: "NOTHING AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING"
Cons: "EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SERVICE"
Pros: "It was quick and easy and saved me a hour drive!"
