Austrian Airlines help and service was fine, but Kayak misled us into believing we had purchased a Business Class ticket. In fact, the tickets were only upgraded Coach Class tickets with luggage restrictions that belonged to the Coach Class. Very disappointed! Paid over $$$$ 9K for the two tickets. Very disappointing!

Quick and organized boarding process, friendly staff but not as many snacks and drinks as the previous flight overnight
Landing was a little hard. Food was not great. No options.
Great staff, efficient and knowledgeable. Very helpful with others and considerate towards those with children
WiFi would have been nice and some more powerful usb ports, available ports could not keep my phone’s charge much less charge the phone.
Not so good. I paid for a preference economic seat, and I couldn’t incline it back because it was blocked. They explained me that because is the last before emergency exit. The company new that but it was not explained in the seat selection
It was on time. Snacks could have been provided for free.
Tirana was crazy check in and getting bussed to another gate. Both Germany stops were intensive customs but organized, but that wasn't the airlines problem. The crews were fabulous on the planes. The announcements were not easy to understand in English, slurred speech. Customs inthe US were fast. We waited for luggage, three later arriving planes had their luggage and left before us
Business class old style from 10 years ago. Ok for short flights but nor for 12 hours journey. The passenger near the window have to jump over the passenger seat aisle side or wake him up to upright the seat. That’s not the business class that you expect on long night flight. Seats are not so confortable. And believe it or not no wifi!
We have travelled on 13 December with Austrian Airlines from Yangon through Bangkok and Vienna to Varna. The first flight operated by Thai Airlines was nice and comfortable. I wouldn’t say the same thing about the next two flights which were operated directly by the Austrian Airlines. During our flight from Bangkok to Vienna: > The service was very poor – serving of food and drinks was disorganized, late and not combined, the stewards were walking back and forth without doing anything substantial for the passengers. Even the morning breakfast was very late with a cup of coffee almost while landing (after a reminding). > The food itself was OK-ish but for a 12-hour flight, there were no snacks/bites in between dinner and breakfast as it is with the other airlines. > The cutlery was wooden, most probably recycling, but very unpleasant to eat with. > The stewards were not rude but not friendly and/or helpful > And also, half of the passengers had travel sets, others did not. The flight from Vienna to Varna was another surprise: firstly, the flight was late and secondly, they were serving only water free, even the coffee was paid, so were the snacks, but we had to pay to reserve seats. The whole experience is as if it was a low-cost airline. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend using the services of Austrian Airlines: the ticket prizes are quite the same as of the other carriers flying to this destination and you would have much pleasant time.
I was told in Florence my bag would go directly to Indianapolis. I had to wait to get it. Then security in EWR was slow so I missed my flight as United would not allow me on the plane even though it was still on the tarmac and the door to the tunnel was open. I blame both Lufthansa and United for refusing to allow me on board a plane that was clearly still on the tarmac. Behind me two grandparents and their ten year old grandson were on same flight from Munich to EWR. They were refused to board the United flight. So we had to sit for 12 hours in airport until next flight. No compensation has been offered either by Lufthansa or United.
Flight was delayed and luggage was delivered day after arrival. In Bilbao they told me day after would be delivered faster if I went to Bilbao to get my own bags so I did. Wasted my morning.
The food that was served was superb!!! Awesome snacks!!! Frequent drink service!!! To me, this was shocking. I took a British Airways flight from Denver to London for the first leg of my trip and the food was horrendous. Thank you for keeping us fed and satiated on such a long flight!!!!

Beautifully maintained airplane, good food, professional crew, top-notch communication. I highly recommend Lufthansa for intercontinental flights between the United States and Europe.
Lufthansa is my favorite airline and have flown oversea with them for the past 25 years: i always found them so professional and incredibly efficient from checking in to arrival. I also love their Munich or Frankfurt airports.
It was good although we could not land in Munich due to weather and we had to go to Stuttgart. Missed our second flight. They did get us on another flight but the seats where not the ones I paid for in the flight that we missed.
We paid for business class, and my seat did not work at all. Each time I wanted to adjust the position, an attendant had to come to physically force the seat into its new position. They tried to fix it by fiddling with the electronics (military reset, for example), to no avail. Also, the food was just mediocre. We were at the end of a serving section, so they ran out of several choices. (This was on the flight from Los Angeles to Munich.)
