The American Airlines employees were not helpful at all! The agent, Rowna, lied to us that we would be sitting together. They will not reimburse me for paying extra for seats that I did not get. The porter that pushed my mother in the wheelchair was more helpful than any employee."

Cons: "When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."

No one told me why. I had to insist on an explanation to the airline staff, and realized there was a mistake - they thought I had not gone through the extra security screening before going to the passport check counter, but I had. This created extra stress and delay for me, as this took place when boarding had started. Respectfully, I suggest that staff is more communicative."

Cons: "The United plane for the transatlantic flight back from Munich broke down. The real problem was i have to rebook the ticket at the Munich airport thru Lufthansa. It was a major hassle and waste of time. this can be handled much smoother if i can get to the United app thru my phone but since i was flying Lufthansa ticket, united website or phone ap wont give me this option."
Pros: "It was acceptable. The seats were quite small but that's what you get these days. The flight crew did their best. We arrived safely and my bags made it."

Cons: "Nobody told us the flight operated by United Airline was cancelled, until we found it when we checked in a night before. We had to make international calls to reschedule it. Our original was a direct flight from MUC to ORD at noon, we had fly to FRT first at 10am. It would be a very mess if we checked in at airport next day. Who would be responsible for the situation if the trip was operated by two airlines like UA and Lufthansa? Certainly not customers. Since the change, we had to cancel some our plan and spent three more hours on the return trip."

Pros: "The crew on this flight was absolutely amazing. They were helpful, they were very kind, and very pleasant. Probably the best flight crew I've ever had. Despite originally being annoyed that I wasn't allowed to pick/change my seat, I somehow miraculously got an economy plus seat so I had what felt like a first-class amount of space."
Cons: "Again, the flight was delayed. Despite originally being told that we were trying to get out ahead of storms so we wanted to get going quickly, we ended up boarding and then sitting there for probably an hour and a half. The pilot/copilot were great at letting us know what was going on, but the fact that both the first and second leg of my journey were delayed was excrutiately annoying. Having already been traveling for over 8 hours, the last thing I wanted to do was be even later and extend the flight even longer, obviously. The entertainment also was not available due to some problem in the circuit for the entirety of sitting there waiting to taking off and the first 15 minutes of the trip. Again, the attendants did everything they could and were very attentive, it was just frustrating to not really be sure that entertainment was going to be available for the 9 hour flight you just sat down for. Thereafter the entertainment was great. The food was, again, pretty mediocre compared to other transatlantic flights I've taken. The lasagna was not very good tasting at all. The sandwich they brought near the end of the flight was tasty though. Another plus was full sized cans of juice as opposed to a tiny glass. Honestly once this flight got off the ground it was good. However the combination of the delays, plus my terrible previous flight (which was the one directly operated by Lufthansa, the second flight was farmed out to United) just made the whole journey pretty awful, and probably the worst of my life. On my flight from Munich to Cairo, three weeks ago, Lufthansa left my bag in Munich despite the fact that I had an 8 hour layover - which you'd think would be more than enough to put a bag on a plane. They were very quick about delivering my bag once it arrived, but that previous experience with Lufthansa just served to bring down my opinion of the entire airline. Honesty, I had been told by friends that Lufthansa was a pretty good airline, that didn't show at all. There's a pretty big chance I'll never willingly fly Lufthansa again if there's even a remotely comparable option (which there almost always is)."

Cons: "Although my wife and I booked our tickets together, United refused to put our seats together. Instead, we had to bargain with other passengers in order to get seats together. This has been a consistent problem when flying United"
Cons: "Our family of four was scattered in four different seats. The food did not include a salad! Otherwise, it was all fine."
Cons: "My partner and I did not get to sit together on this 10-hour flight despite being booked on the same PNR. The flight seemed to have been operated by United rather than LH. I was crammed into a window seat next to a single passenger who did not speak my language, so I was unable to ask him whether he would switch seats with my partner. The crew weren't helpful either."
