Please keep in mind this isn't a security check point we went through all with no problem.This is boarding after you have you ticket scanned and they are boarding row by row. The seats were small and uncomfortable. I flew home on a hospitable airline JETBLUE. Better seats, better snacks, better overall experience"

It was an excellent trip from web check-in to reaching to the airport and check-in luggage. The flight crew was very polite, warm meal, tea or drink. Pilot was great, flight was great apart from a few turbulence. We reached our destination five minutes before scheduled time. So overall my trip from JFK to KIN was excellent I have nothing to complain about. Experienced things for "yourself" don't rely on the reviews that you read because if I did, I would have cancelled my flight. Thank-you CAL for my marvelous experience with you and you just gained a new customer. They say one bad apple spoil the bunch, but if you didn't have a bad experience with CAL don't follow the few that may have maybe because they don't adhere to rules and regulations. And yes TSA do check bags for security reasons because my TV was opened for inspection to see if it was ok and resealed with the TSA inspection card inside, nothing was missing from my luggage's. We were delayed waiting for a passenger, not crew, not a Marshall, not customs, a passenger. We left after we were supposed to have landed in Florida. No food, no drinks, no wifi, just an old plane packed full.
We booked our flights via Expedia. We received several communications via email from Bahamasair to update us on our booking including flight changes. We responded to the Bahamasair email to check in on 7/16/2021 (the day before our flight) and experienced challenges with the website. I called Bahamasair call center and they attempted to help us but said that they couldn't but we could check in fine from the airport. I asked to speak with a manager and the woman told me the managers were gone for the day. I begged her to assist so that we wouldn't have hassles at the airport. She assured us that everything was fine and that we could check in at the airport. When I protested she hung up on me. When we attempted to check in today at the attendant said that we couldn't check in because our flights were not ticketed (not paid for by expedia). After much debate (after showing proof of ticketing and payment) I was forced to pay nearly $500 for flights that we already booked and paid for just so we could get home. My wife and I lost over an hour of our vacation trying to check in as prompted a day before our flight only to be totally humiliated in front of other people at the airport. I have spent countless hours going back and forth with Bahamasair and Expedia only to be out HOURS of my time, an additional $500! My wife and I work hard and this was not the way to finish a well deserved vacation. AVOID BAHAMASAIR at all COST!!!

If not the next flight would be in 4-5 hours if they could make it at all and if they couldn’t no other flights would be available until Wednesday,( our flight was on Sunday). The hours passed without updates from the staff. When they did give information it was incorrect but above all there attitudes were appalling. The airport had basically closed, no food/restaurants were available. We weren’t able to leave because customs had already left for the day so reentery was impossible. When asked how they planned on eventually getting us home there was no response. When asked what we should do for food since there were many small children on the flight, they simply shrugged their shoulders. We ended up being delayed 4 hours only to be boarded onto a plane with no air conditioning (which was the original problem as to why we didn’t leave earlier) that still wasn’t fixed. Then sat on the tarmac for 30 minutes for another unknown delay. It wasn’t to wait on another plane because we were the only plane in the entire airport. Delays happen but Bahamasair handled the entire situation poorly and without any care or compassion for their passengers. The staff seemed to have a huge chip on their shoulders from the beginning."

Cons: "Everything. The staff and crew of Intercaribbean airlines are very unprofessional and not helpful at all. On top of the flight delays all the luggage for that particular flight was left in Kingston. Everybody was rather nonchalant and unapologetic about the situation. I was told I would get the the following day. The next day only two of my three bags showed up. I was not compensated for the inconvenience and was told point blank that they will only deliver one of my bags to my address even though they were the reason I had NONE of my luggage in the first place. They are disgusting!!! I would never recommend this airline to anyone."

None of the passengers on our plane received their checked bags. We waited over 20 minutes before they informed us no bags were coming. Then told us they didn't know where the bags were. We called at 4:30, they said they had our bags and would put on the 6:30 ferry. Went to meet ferry, no bags. Called again, first woman said they didn't know where our bags were. When I explained everything she was able to locate them, thankfully, and they ended up on 9pm ferry. Communication needs to be better!!"

Cons: "My previous flight by Southwest landed an hour late causing me to miss my connector with InterCarribean by two minutes. Ten minutes after the plane departed, I called the InterCarribean online booking number to get on a flight later that day. After I got off of the phone and received my emailed receipt, I saw that I was charged the full price of the flight later that day and charged a $50 fee for adjusting my departure time without being refunded my initial ticket fare. However, I had called 20 minutes after my initial flight had taken off so I shouldn't have been charged a $50 transfer fee plus the cost of a second ticket ($170). So at the end of the day I bought two tickets for different flights plus a $50 transfer fee. I am hoping that maybe I can get this corrected but not overly hopeful. After getting confirmation that I had a seat on the second flight, I went to check in but there was no place to check in unless I exited through baggage claim and go to the primary check-in desk. Since I only had a carry-on I wanted to avoid having to stand in line and go through security again this but there were no InterCarribean locations on the concourses until my 6pm flight four hours later. I went to the main check-in desk and stood there for 90 minutes for a person to come out to man the desk. After I got my boarding pass, everything was OK."

They charge $25 dollars if you check your bag online, $45 at the gate, so don't make that mistake. They want a $25 dollar fee for carry-ons, but I didn't see anyone pay it and everyone had carry-ons. Only the first three rows of seats recline, and you pay to get there so forget the price savings right there. All of the other seats are minimalist, meaning very little padding or comfort. The baggage delivery was the slowest I have seen of any airline I have flown, we waited over half an hour at the carousel to get our checked bags. All in all I have no intention to fly Frontier again."

After a mechanical issue was fixed, the entire crew gathered for a gab fest that added 25 minutes to our departure, no explanation, no apologies. one flight was delayed over 4 Hrs. The phrease repeated was " Never Again" and I concur."

No amenities were provided. Apple juice cost $3. No in flight entertainment, not even a magazine. This flight cost as much as a major airline when I booked it--the only convenience was timing back to our original airport. Add the seat up charge and I probably paid more. This experience proved to me that it might be ok to pay a little extra for a major carrier, especially on long trips."

I had such anxiety flying alone that I skipped the flight there and obviously the return flight as well... I am so upset with myself and I was hoping to get a partial credit or some type of voucher being that so many flights were cancelled... I would have flown had my flight been the next day or weather conditions better... I am so bummed that I lost the $370 round trip ticket as our son that I never get to see came from California to be in our neighbor boy's wedding... I was so sad I missed my flight due to weather and flight anxiety... :("
