Onboard crew was great, but I was unable to check in on my phone so after my connecting flight I checked in right at the gate, at that time they assigned me a seat but didn’t tell me that I wasn’t allowed a carry on bag and needed to check it due to my boarding group. While boarding was when I was informed I needed to check my bag at which time they informed me I needed to pay $65 since I didn’t check it at check in, I informed them that I had a connection and didn’t check in regularly at LAX and was unaware I needed to check my bag, at that time they changed the charge to $35 but I was still disappointed I needed to pay anything considering it was a small carry on bag that I wasn’t told I needed to check before hand.

Cons: "Mechanical issues - 2hr delay"
Pros: "Fast, clean and good"
Pros: "The crew was great."
Cons: "Departure times and entertainment"
Pros: "Crew was very friendly."
Cons: "Delays were extremely frustrating and I received multiple emails with time changes. The original flight I booked was for 9:45 pm and via scheduled and unscheduled changes, we left at 11:45 pm. Rather than arriving home around Midnight, I got home at 2:15am. Also no space for carry on. Bad experience"
Pros: "Crew was very welcoming"
Cons: "Maybe more breakfast snacks"
Pros: "The plane was comfortable"
Cons: "The flight was delayed by 1.5 hours so would have preferred to be on time"
Pros: "Crew great. Seat actually very uncomfortable. Cushion was worn out."
Cons: "Tv wasn’t working."
Pros: "No problem"
Pros: "Seat comfort and leg room!!!! FANTASTIC! Pleasant crew. Made super time... landed 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Always a good thing"
Cons: "Absolutely nothing."
Pros: "The entertainment! The free coffee! The legroom! We left right on time and actually landed early! Pilot communicated well as gave us a heads up that there was going to be a little turbulence."
Cons: "Not JetBlue’s fault by any means - but lots of people were coughing on the plane"
Pros: "I liked the quick check in and everyone was polite and efficient"
Cons: "I don't have any negative comments"
Pros: "comfortable and roomy seats. polite hosts. First trip on JetBlue but won't be my last. Thanks for a pleasant flight"
Cons: "A child about 2 yrs old was hysterically screaming for at least 1/2 of the flight.... making ME feel like running up & down the plane's isle..... screaming!!! It was horrible!!"
Pros: "Flight on time."
Cons: "The cabin too cold."
Pros: "I don’t think it’s a good idea to change flight time to an earlier time. I missed my flight and then had to deal with the attendants at BWI. They were very rude and unhelpful . The only person that was helpful was a woman by the name of Natalie. I spoke to her over the phone and she was awesome ! If it wasn’t for her my experience would have been horrible. I do not plan on flying on Jet Blue ever again. I thought I was saving money but I ended up spending about 200$ more due to hotel cancellation and over priced long term parking at National airport in DC."
Cons: "Read above!"
Pros: "The flight was almost on time, and it was okay."
Cons: "Not only the tv screens didn't work for some of the passengers (including everyone in our row), they kept showing "noise" and there was no way to turn them off. I'd say 20% of the screens were malfunctioning and the remote control in the arm rest to my left kept coming out of the seat. It was quite unsettling / uncomfortable."
Pros: "The kindness of the crew"
Pros: "everything was easy and smooth."
Pros: "I thought it will be like sprint barefoot stuff. But, the app is very convenience. I joined the JetBlue immediately."
Cons: "I like the entertainment as well as the water."
Pros: "Almost everything was great"
Cons: "Slight delay, but good"
Pros: "There is more room on JetBlue."
Pros: "Smooth flight, friendly staff"
Pros: "This was my best flight ever"
Pros: "I liked that I arrived safely albeit it 6 hours later than I was supposed to land."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed. We were not told our flight was delayed until an hour before the flight was to take off. Then they kept switching the time we were going to take off later and later then earlier then later and later. It would’ve been nice if we got an updated time that we were going to leave- just say come back in six hours rather than make us get up and get down, board the plane, then get off. and get up again then change gates I could not get any work done. I understand that sometimes schedule can be unpredictable but this was ridiculous. One plane that was supposed to leave after us actually left before us and people were getting upset"
Pros: "Crew was very attentive and sincere"
Cons: "My seat was dirty with food crumbs, padding worn out, very hard and jno lumbar support"
Pros: "Prompt in trying to get passengers boarded quickly."
Cons: "This flight was delayed multiple times, however there was no announcement made until well after the last electronic notification. My phone along with other passengers at either went dead or was charging so no one got the notification so later on. I feel to remedy this situation or to prevent it from happening at all there should have been notifications through the loud speaker at the gate were passengers were waiting."
Pros: "The timing"
Cons: "People were being inconsiderate towards one another and staff did not care to diffuse the situations."
Cons: "Delayed. Uncomfortable seat. Old entertainment system."
Cons: "Normally I love Jet Blue but we were delayed first for three hours. The only reason I even knew was because I asked someone if I was at the right gate because it didn't state it was a JetBlue gate anywhere. Then we were delayed two subsequent times for a maintenance issue and a gas issue. That didn't inspire any confidence whatsoever. We were also told we would be receiving a flight credit which I have yet to see."
Cons: "Plane was 1.5 hours late."
Cons: "Seat were at but wore down."
Pros: "Love the extra space in the seats."
Pros: "Quick boarding; friendly staff"
Pros: "Helpful, friendly staff."
Cons: "No blue chips!!"
Cons: "1.5 hour delay due to mechanical issues"
Pros: "I enjoyed the crew the food the entertainment as well as the comfort of the seats and the help that I was given on the flight though the ticketing servicing agents could have been more helpful given the extremity of my situation"
Cons: "I'm not sure if this is a mistake through JetBlue or el al Airlines when creating my flight but I had to pay $50 out of my own pocket to fix their mistake because they had placed me on the wrong flight back home to Baltimore while my sister and mother were on the correct flight leaving me almost stranded and Boston for another 6 to 8 hours I'm so frustrated with not only JetBlue but with LL Airlines because I'm not sure whose fault it is."
Cons: "The flight gate was changed last minute--only one or two announcements."
Pros: "JetBlue sent me two updates announcing that my flight was delayed, so I adjusted plans accordingly. Then, JetBlue restored my original flight time with no updates, so I missed my flight."
Cons: "I didn't like missing my flight due to confusing updates from JetBlue."
Pros: "As usual, everything was excellent! Traveling can be very stressful for some people, but I really recommend traveling with JetBlue; personally I feel like I'm at home, very comfortable. Thank you and keep up the good work!"
Pros: "It was a typical flight. Just what it should be nothing extrodinary, nothing bad"
Pros: "Our plane had mechanical problems so we delayed leaving Miami for 2 hours. The rep did a great job of keeping us up to date in the status of the new plane, and the crew boarded us in record time."
Pros: "crew was friendly, sets were pretty comfortable."
Cons: "not as clean as it could have been."
Pros: "Most things were great"
Cons: "Way too cold. I had my vent completely closed and still had a string stream of ice cold air blowing on me from spaces in the overhead panel."
Cons: "Flight attendants and First mate didn't show up on time, they called in the reserves, Then got on plane with them and the planes logs weren't up to date, the grounds crew then left to do another plane. Once we got off, we were informed that NJ airspace was restricted at the later departure time, and had to fly extremely out of the way. 1:45 later and arrived to destination, Missed train and and stuck now."
Pros: "The staff was friendly and professional."
Cons: "Their entertainment system was not working. Oh well~"
Flight crew was friendly and professional
Cons: "The man sitting next to me was coughing and not covering his mouth. I am especially concerned given the recent Coronavirus outbreak."
Pros: "Old aircraft showing its age."
Pros: "The agent at the bag drop was very helpful. We had two reservations and she took the extra step to call someone and helped check our luggage all the way to destination. Thanks for the wonderful service. Flight attendants were all smiling and very friendly. A very special treat that we got two snacks each which were very much appreciated as it was an early morning flight and we didn't get a chance to get breakfasts."
Pros: "The crew was amazing and smooth flight"
Cons: "No entertainment option was avail except WiFi (T-Mobile) which wasn’t free"
Cons: "Missed the flight due to the sheer unhelpfulness and incompetence of the gate personnel. They would not let me board, since I was about 10 minutes late. THEN THE PLANE WAS DELAYED FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS!!! I was stranded in NY, overnight, and had to pay hundreds of dollars for a train ticket and a cab."
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Cons: "It would have been better if the flight wasn’t 3 hours late."
Pros: "The check in counter personnel was VERY UNHELPFUL. I was running late to previous Delta flight baggage delay. The counter person would not let me check in even though I still had good 45 mins before take off. AND THE PLANE WAS DELAYED BY 40 MINUTES ANYWAY! I never made the flight, had to take train."
Cons: "The entire Delta customer service was a nightmare. Delayed flights, literally lying supervisor who escalated a dispute, absurdly poor service. ASSISTING A PASSENGER WITH A TRANSFER TO ANOTHER DELTA FLIGHT AFTER THE FIRST ONE WAS DELAYED IS "NOT A GUARANTEED SERVICE". Seriously, it is basic courtesy!"
Pros: "The crew was great. Flight was on time. Although crowded, boarded went smoothly."
Cons: "Checking bags in Reno was a bit chaotic. Only one representative was there to assist when we arrived an hour before the flight. When others arrived to assist, people went directly to counter and were helped before those of us who had been waiting in line. My seat back screen did not work ."
Pros: "The flight was on time and quick."
Cons: "the number of kids......not too fond. :/"
Cons: "If there could have been some sort of services to take travelers to their connecting flight, for cases of really short time window of course, it’d be extremely helpful."
Pros: "Seats were comfortable. On time. Entertainment was outstanding. Made the trip “fly” by!!"
Pros: "comfortable flight"
Pros: "Smooth flight. Everything was great."
Pros: "I always appreciate in-flight television even on short flights."
Cons: "Very tight seating."
Pros: "I love Delta! Always professional, efficient and polite. They disappoint on this round-trip flight. They are my go-to carrier. When I call the people whom I speak to are always very polite and efficient"
Cons: "The person next to me was a very large individual and the seats were not wide. This phenomenon had nothing to do with Delta as a carrier, however."
Pros: "Everything was great everyone was fantastic. F"
Pros: "Not sure why this flight was delayed inbound. But it made the departure late by over 30 minutes."
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and didn’t mind staying with the back upright. Flight attendants veery friendly and boarding was fast and easy."
Cons: "Headrest was too short and there’s no seat back screen. More communication from the cockpit at the end would have been nice. Announcements were very hard to hear over the background plane noise."
Pros: "The Delta Help Desk at the airport was actually pretty helpful for the times I had to use them."
Cons: "Flight was delayed....3 times(more?) from late at night to early morning the next day. Delta Help Desk rescheduled me and got me a room at Howard Johnson’s for the night. Called HoJo’s to confirm they had non-smoking rooms available. Got on the hotel’s shuttle bus and the driver announced that HoJo was full and all voucher holders would go to Rodeway Inn but those without vouchers would go to HoJo....huh!?? Called HoJo and the same person I’d spoken to 20 mins prior said it was correct, that Rodeway was a sister property. The Rodeway Inn Metro Airport is pretty disgusting. This is my opinion after coming from remote Mexico and extensive travel in Africa. It should be torn down. Delta/HoJo should not send customers there."
Pros: "Everyone was friendly and got us to our destination"
Cons: "No food, no outlets, a terrible delayed not explained to passengers."
Pros: "Nothing.. the entire experience was horrible. Nasty seat. Had to get rebooked 3 times to finally get home but had to fly into a different airport and you also lost my bag so I have nothing to wear to my father's funeral."
Cons: "Everyrhing. the entire experience was horrible. Nasty seat. Had to get rebooked 3 times to finally get home but had to fly into a different airport and you also lost my bag so I have nothing to wear to my father's funeral"
Cons: "Unexplained delays, lack of transfer services (there was no separate connections security screening; passengers were required, after a redeye flight and customs, to switch floors and stand in long lines with general security. Also, no beverages of any kind were offered."
Pros: "Not crowded?"
Cons: "It's a 6A flight from RNO to SLC meaning you are up really early to get to the airport, checkin and wait. There's no Delta lounge, so you're stuck trying to find something to eat and somewhere to sit well before our flight. The exit row seating does help, but the seats didn't recline making it a bit more uncomfortable."
Cons: "The airline booked us on two flights from SLC to BWI. Unfortunately, our seats on our original connection were released so when we arrived at our gate our only option was to split up and take middle seats - even though we had paid over $100 ea. for upgrades. Delta offered nothing for this. One of the flight attendants was in a terrible mood - she was cold and rude and would not even look at passengers - which her fellow crewmates noticed and tried to compensate for."
Cons: "JFK was depressing but not Delta’s problem."
Pros: "Delta is not a good place to be"
Cons: "Delta is not good on customer service"
Pros: "Snacks & beverages on a 1 hour flight. Very nice crew"
Cons: "Older plane, no entertainment"
Pros: "Kyle was our flight attendant. He was great. Attentive the whole trip and served us water and snacks."
Pros: "I missed my flight and was not able to rebook any of it, losing 600 dollars..."
Pros: "Nice crew, comfortable"
Cons: "Had to check in my carry on because there was "no space" left but after me were some people who could go in with their carry ons"
Pros: "I am 6’3” and have difficulty with leg room on planes. Staff help me out by moving my son and I to Comfort seating row."
Pros: "Where the flight attendants on my AeroMexico portion were authentically compassionate, the flight attendants for delta were superficial. The flight attendant, while serving us drinks, started saying what great passengers we were but her flight from Dallas the day before was definitely a feeling the effects of the full moon. This was our first interaction with a flight attendant. She had no basis for saying we were great and as we didn't have a relationship other than ordering drinks she had no basis for complaining about her Dallas to us. She would leave it to us that she was being put upon by the customers that she was getting paid to serve. Where the Aeromexico flight attendant genuinely enjoyed serving her customers."
Cons: "They forced everyone in the third zone to check our hand carry and there was no entertainment."
Cons: "Terrible staff"
Cons: "Whatever hack airline you are contracting with to do shuttle flights is terrible. Both the flight itself and the customer handling. If I ever see the option "operated by endeavor air" I am avoiding at all costs."
Pros: "very little"
Cons: "Could they make sears smaller? The plane was really old too."
Pros: "Had a chance to download the entertainment app during layover, so could take advantage of movies available on second flight. Crew still good; gate attendants friendly; snacks/drinks readily available."
Pros: "Comfortable seating and roomy"
Pros: "Excellent flight crew, good selection of snacks, excellent seat and leg room."
Cons: "Lavatory was unusually smelly no charging port"
Pros: "Getting on board was smooth and efficient. Service was friendly on flight. Arrived on time."
Cons: "Not applicable."
Cons: "My flight from ATL to BWI was horrible. It was not a Delta plane. Possibly borrowed from SpiritAirlines, which is an airline I will never fly again even if offered a free flight. That's how strongly I feel about their planes and service. I was seated in a 2across row where the seats were small and my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me the entire flight. I'll grant you I am a big girl at 6' 250 however the first leg of my flight from FLL to ATL which WAS on a Delta plane, was fine. I did not feel smashed into the seat. For the money, I feel like I am due more than being locked into the seat unable to move more than 1/2 inch for an entire flight. Thankfully the flight was under 2 hours."
Cons: "After checking in at a kisok I had to wait in a huge line for over 20 minutes just to drop the bag. This the second time I have had this experience with them."
Pros: "Delta met and exceeded all of my expectations on this Atlanta to Baltimore flight."
Cons: "Wonderful service, on time departure and arrival."
Pros: "Nothing to speak of. Nothing exceptional from any other airline - basic"
Cons: "Our carry-on luggage was taken away from us because the gate agent decided it looked too big. A family of four with luggage larger than ours was allowed to carry theirs on. Our luggage was then sent down to the baggage carousel at Baltimore. We took carry-on to avoid this. I don't think we will fly Delta again."
Cons: "Not a lot of leg room"
Boarding went fine, the plane was clean, and the crew was very friendly. Seats were a bit cramped, but that seems to be typical on all airlines anymore. Cookies and pretzels were offered as were beverages - the usual. I’d fly American again.
Cons: "The seats were tiny! I'm a big woman, but not a huge one and I struggled to get my belt on. Considering how nice their seats are, this is one of the smallest seats I've ever sat in!"
Cons: "I always have preferred American Airlines but they seem to have constant problems with the aircraft these days. This causes delays and missed connections. This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home."
Pros: "Seats very comfortable"
Cons: "No money for baggage registred"
Pros: "Everything was good!"
Pros: "Gate check of carry-on luggage was nice. The connecting flight from DFW to FLL was on time and the boarding process was very smoothly executed by the gate agent. Well done!!"
Cons: "The flight out of RNO early in the morning was chaotic. One of the kiosks was down and the line to self-check was long and moved very slowly because there was only one agent behind the self-check baggage drop. She did well keeping up but there was a long line of unhappy customers due to the long wait. No snack was offered but I did get a glass of water. Not enough overhead storage for the carry-on bags because passengers get the luggage check tag but brought the carry-on onboard anyway."
Pros: "I feel like there is more leg room in the seats then in other discount airlines! I like the snack and drink, this breaks up the flight a bit. This is nice for me because I don’t like to fly."
Cons: "The staff seemed miserable. No one was nice or even smiled. Just felt like they couldn’t wait for this leg of their day/trip to be over."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 hrs"
Pros: "Awesome Customer Service"
Pros: "Easy flight. Free drinks and snacks. Nice crew."
Cons: "No individual entertainment. Do not help those that are AA members"
Cons: "There was room for my carry on, although they said it was full and cheked it"
Cons: "the fact they changed my schedule and had to come in earlier customer service was awful and my luggage came back dirty and the best response was that the belts are dirty and i can expect wear and tear. not only that i had to book myself an earlier trip to pay the standby fee so i can leave the same time my brother left tsa screening had us wait 20 min before we move in the line for the fact no worker was there but one guy and i was the last person to board the plane after almost missing closing gates my expierence was awful and disrespectful"
Cons: "Over 45 mins for bags to get on the belt ? Ridiculous. Won’t fly with AA again"
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "Poor ratings for food Is result of not eating any food. No entertainment."
Pros: "Flight was on time. Crew was very helpful"
Cons: "the staff were not knowledgeable on visa requirements at checkin in Reno. As a result my checkin took long at the counter. Small CRJ700 plane was cramped though fast."
Pros: "Teeny little plane but easy (early i think!) boarding process and nice flight attendant."
Cons: "We were in quite a long line to take off and when we arrived in bmore there was no one to manage the jet bridge and we sat for a little while. Seems like these issues should be easy to solve - you know when the plane is arriving for over an hour!"
Cons: "I think things would run so much smoother if the plane was loaded from the back to the front. That way you don't have to wait as long for people to put things in the overhead and then sit down."
Pros: "Flight box waste of money for sure. The middle seat was vacant and it was fantastic. We travelbwith a guide dog."
Cons: "The boxed food"
Pros: "Amazing and comfortable"
Cons: "We left a little late."
Cons: "Getting canned and put on a flight five hours later. Good job AA"
Pros: "Automatic ticket rebooking"
Cons: "It being cancelled."
Pros: "-Efficient Boarding -Great flight attendants -Communicative Pilots (flight time, number in line on runway, etc)"
Cons: "Did not dislike anything on this trip."
Pros: "No problems."
Cons: "All was well."
Cons: "Delays without updates, rude flight staff, lost baggage"
Cons: "I didn't like the fact that I was told to preboard when I checked in before the flight and was told by another employee i was in group 6 and shouldnt be in line. Had to explain why I was preboarding and didn't like having to hold up the line. It was embarrassing."
Pros: "I like the ease of boarding and the offer of complimentary check-in if the bags. I assume it was because the flight was fully booked. Overall I was pleased."
Cons: "The entertainment could be better during the flight. I also don’t remember being offered any snacks during the flights either."
Pros: "Crew was outstanding"
Cons: "Hurried beverage service since arriving early. R"
Pros: "flight crew on my way to BWI were great!!!"
Cons: "american airlines does not care about the privacy of their passengers. even after several calls my information wasn't updated correctly and my flight confirmation was passed along to members who weren't even traveling. there was no in flight entertainment and in order to pick seats together i needed to pay extra (i thought i was flying with american not spirit) apparently the only way i can be helped is writing a letter to customer service which they will review within 10 business days. THANKS american for starting a war in my family and ruining my trip. unfortunate the crew is so awesome but the customer service is mortifying, rude, inconsiderate and completely mechanical. i dont ever intend on flying with them again unless necessary."
Cons: "Told me that if I checked my carry on bag at gate, I'd be able to pick bag up from from the gate at the other end. Instead it went to baggage claim with took more than 30 minutes."
Cons: "delayed and missed connecting flight"
Pros: "The plane was new and nice looking"
Cons: "The flight was delayed. The crew was rude . Seats were not assigned until boarding NPILWL3B. Of course they give you the worst seats."
Pros: "THE SEATS WERE COMFORTABLE AND CREW AND VERY ATTENTIVE."
Cons: "Missed my connecting flight to to 3 delays."
Pros: "the flight was great and comfortable"
Pros: "Flight was one time."
Cons: "It was a standard boarding. The standard ride. I have nothing to complain about"
Cons: "I still have not received my luggage"
Cons: "We sat on the plane for over 2 hours before takeoff. We were offered no competition other than a quick appology from the pilot."
Pros: "Roomy seat, great price"
Cons: "No ice in my water."
Cons: "Broken down seat cushion ."
Pros: "The crew and the comfort"
Cons: "The entertainment"
Pros: "Overall good experience"
Cons: "Delayed almost an hour."
I hated that I had to pay for my seat and my carryon, then probably could have gotten away without having to buy it because it’s not like they checked. The crew was unprofessional, pulled down their face mask every time they talked, and didn’t enforce people wearing their mask appropriately (obviously with their own behavior). The seats were wildly uncomfortable without the option to recline at all. Yeah, I’ll absolutely never fly frontier again.
The plane was extremely cold, which made it even more difficult to sleep on the red eye.
They need tv’s! It also sucks they don’t offer free drinks.
I should've researched Frontier a little better. There is a charge for carry-on luggage and a charge for your seat assignment. The flight was delayed 1 hour with no notice at the gate and there was no Frontier representative at the gate until it was time to board.
Worst airline I’ve ever flown with, they will never get my business again.
Changed gates and didn’t make announcement for those already in airport on layover. I missed the flight and have to purchase another flight and stay over in the city missing work
Communication is key !! Worst flight in history goes to frontier Getting to the airport on time to late delayed flights Air conditioner broke so we had to be delayed on the flight home as well I would never recommend
Our flight was cancelled Friday morning 4 hrs before our flight with no alternate way to get to Las Vegas for our show in time to see it. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FRONTIER AGAIN
Our flight kept getting delayed.
Pros: "Because I was unwilling to pay for seat selection, I was prepared to be separated from my husband and stuck in a middle seat. To my pleasant surprise, the agents put us in the same row by ourselves."
Cons: "Better directional signage in both the SFO and Las Vegas airports (arrivals). Las Vegas is a huge airport, requiring a tram to get to the passenger pick-up, even with directions it was confusing and not obvious. In SFO, half the plane walked halfway down the concourse in the wrong direction because of lack of signage and it looks like the right way to go. Drop Kiwi as a third-party for domestic flights, their customer service is clueless, handling charges absurd and flight requirements unnecessary."
Cons: "Delayed both ways to start out. Got to the airport 2 hours early and the workers were not even there to check our luggage. Had to wait until 4:30-4:45 before checking luggage and going through TSA when flight left at 6:20. Delayed due to losing log sheet after everyone already boarded, $45 checked bag (ridiculous), no complimentary drinks have to pay $2.99, flight was FREEZING to the point where I couldn’t sleep and I didn’t sleep the night before, talked about their credit card for way too long like they were in dire need of your business, landed and had no one to bring the walkway so we could get off the plane. Very disappointed in this airline"
Cons: "I had a quick trip planned for a hiking expedition into the Grand Canyon. The day of my flight into Las Vegas my flight was initially delayed over 3 hours, then canceled entirely. I had to buy another ticket from another carrier. On such short notice the ticket was quite expensive. Then, leaving Las Vegas my flight was also delayed, this time for over two hours. Luckily the flight still went and I was able to get home. Obviously, you pay less money to fly Frontier (although baggage fees are quite expensive) and with that I recognize the seats are less comfortable and there are less amenities, however, the delay and cancellation added a lot of stress to an already short trip. I will think twice before booking tickets with Frontier again."
Pros: "Announcement made on plane was good. That’s about it."
Cons: "Crew members are like high school kids. I was on one of their over night flights. It got delayed 3 hours, but that’s not what bothered me. What bothered me was how unprofessional cabin crew were. Our flight finally departed around 2:00 am. Naturally most of us passengers were tired and trying to sleep. The light was out and I was ready to sleep. Well I was sitting one of the last rows where all the crews “hang out” and talk INCREDIBLY loud about stuff far from work related. They were screaming and laughing, and the party lasted until 4:10 am when the noisiest guy finally walked to the front of airplane. What kind of person can keep talking so loud when 23:00 flight get delayed 3 hours and all the lights were out and every passenger is being quiet? How inconsiderate is that? How thoughtless is that? And most importantly how unprofessional is it to work like that? I really wanted to tell those people to shut up but I was sitting in the middle and didn’t want to bother other passengers. You know, even if I did talk to them, people like that probably wouldn’t understand what they were doing wrong and I would waste my time anyway. So in conclusion, NEVER FLY FRONTIER. I’d pay whatever to fly different airlines."
Cons: "I booked a flight with them for the Thanksgiving holiday.... I was supposed to travel Wednesday 22 - Saturday to STLand back... I was IMMEDIATELY shocked by only being able to carry 1 personal item... When I found out exactly how small 45 centimeters was...I tried to cancel the trip & be refunded within 5-6 hours.... They told me to fill out a form & return it to them... THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO GET BACK TO ME WITHIN HOURS TO NOTIFY OF THE REFUND AMOUNT & NOT...I REPEAT NOT ACTUALLY CANCEL THE TRIP UNLESS I AGREED TO THE REFUND AMOUNT... I never heard anything from them! I just assumed it was just taking forever for them to approve my refund... Therefore...assuming that the flight was still booked...SINCE I never APPROVED ANY REFUND... I visited kiwi.com several times before the the trip & there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING informing me of any trip cancellation... I went to the airport... Wasn’t able to board... Talked to kiwi.on the phone... Didn’t find out the trip was canceled until after the boarding was closed for that flight. Pros: "That I actually landed"
Cons: "First of all. Our flight was delayed 3 hours with no explanation at first (after we boarded they finally told us). There was technical difficulties with the plane. They had to keep re-starting the planes system. It was June in Vegas. This shut off caused the A/C to go off. It got extremely hot. The flight attendants very rudly handed out warm water (no ice) to everyone. Only filled the cups a quarter of the way and would not hand out more. 3 hours after we were supposed to take off, we finally got going. After we were up in the air the flight attendants were extremely rude. Many of the passengers kept asking for snacks and drinks. We were all extremely hungry and thirsty from sitting in an extremely hot plane for hours. We FINALLY got service in time for our plane to start landing. We were then forced to promptly throw our drinks and food away due to landing. Didn't even get a few sips and a couple bites of my chips before I then had to throw it away. I will never fly frontier again. I can say that most of the people on my flight will not be flying frontier either. I never write bad reviews. I am an extremely easy going person. I understand plane difficutlies but the staff of the plane were extremely rude and did not handle the situation well."
Cons: "I tried numerous times hours before my flight to check-in using the fly frontier website. It never worked. I arrived at the airport an hour and a half early. With bus delays, I walked up to the ticket counter at 9:24pm to retrieve my ticket. Flight leaves at 10:00pm. The attendant tells me I missed my flight by 9min because you have to check in at least 45min early and that there was no way I could board. I asked if the plane had already left, he said that it had not. No good answer as to why I couldn't be accommodated. I explained my qualms about the online check-in but it was pointless. I had to fly with another airline which costs me $367.00 to book. Terrible customer service and no leeway or understanding whatsoever."
Pros: "The crew and captain were really informative throughout the trip and kept us updated about incoming turbulence. They were very calm and professional about it. We were a bit late boarding on but still arrived on time!"
Cons: "Nothing in particular was bad. You just have to pay for any kind of food or drink onboard so maybe take some snacks or water beforehand. The seats also don't decline. Again, not a big deal to me so it was good overall. Also, if you actually read their website and pay attention to the numerous emails they send you, they TOTALLY mention that you have to pay for a carry on. So just book it online and save yourself the money, it's like $25 for a carry on and $30 for a checked bag. Plus, you should be looking at all that info before you fly, regardless of the airline."
Pros: "Flight crew was excellent. Other ticketing agents helped to ensure that we made the flight.... in spite of the uncaring one..."
Cons: "Seats are super uncomfortable and tight... First ticketing agent calls out our flight... last chance (we were starting the kiosk process) - I call out that we are Chicago flight. She rushes us to the ticketing agent at the counter (46 minutes to departure).... ticketing agent at counter says "You'll have to stand in line over there for the next flight... should've been here 45 minutes or more..." I make my case (loudly) that we ARE here in time, and that we will only be delayed because she is dragging her feet. supervisor comes over and does something; tickets spit out and we are off to run to the gate. Make it; but way out of breath; and there is still plenty of time to board the plane."
Cons: "Alexa assured me it would not be a big deal to not be on the exit. But then they told me that the flight was oversold and that I may not be able to board that flight after I let them know that I run a business and I needed to be on this flight home and that I did not mind being the exit person if it meant that I had to get on this flight. I then proceeded to call my mother but when I raise my phone to the ear Alexa then proceeded to make a scene in front of all the other passengers saying that she did not wish to have her picture taken and then began to laugh with another co-worker making me feel very uncomfortable I will never fly with your airline again."
Cons: "At no time was I made aware during my booking that they were going to charge for a carry on. It ended up adding $75 to my flight. Paying extra for sodas and for your seats. Seats that made riding a city bus seem like first class. The plane seemed like they bought it at the used plane lot, it even made noises in Flight that sounded like they had to restart the engine. Flight attendants that were rude and unhelpful. I'd rather spend the extra $ for a more dependable/reliable airline that doesn't run their business a la carte."
Pros: "The pilot was extremely nice!"
Cons: "My husband was boarded last which is always awkward when going down the isles in an isle chair. You end up saying excuse me several times not to mention all eyes are on you. Not easy to sleep on the plane. Seats were not that comfortable. Not able to recline. We were towards the back and the flight crew had the bright light on not to mention they were talking about their experiences with other people on different flights. We had to wait for 20 mins for someone to come get my husband off the plane even after notifying the appropriate people. The Atlanta staff when arriving was extremely rude and unfriendly during a non-busy time. That was the worse experience we've ever had!!!"
Cons: "-The prices were misleading. We ended up paying an additional $200 for baggage at check-in that we weren't expecting and while we knew it would cost something, we certainly weren't expecting THAT much. -One of the crew members was extremely rude to a young child who had been so patient during our 1 hour delay leaving the ground after an engine failed to start. -We had no idea a meal was no longer included in the price of the ticket, but what was worse, basic drinks cost an additional fee now also. -I remember flying Frontier when they first came out. The seats used to be comfortable and every flight offered movies for purchase, but the seats on this plane had been stripped down to the basics and offered nothing. -The trip was a surprise for my Husband as a Christmas gift and I was rather embarrassed and frustrated with this portion of our vacation. We will not be flying Frontier again."
Cons: "Crew never approached us to ask us if we needed anything and most just sat, talked amongst themselves and kept to themselves the entire flight. Seamed disinterested. Crew on incoming flight, 1115 were the worst ever! Female Flight Attendent verbally ridiculed a passenger to the other attendents who was a bigger husky man who was having a difficult time closing his seat belt. Very unprofessional and I will not use your airline again. Another Male Flight Attendant would not wait a few swconds for a passenger to gather his trash, got disgusted, made some type of remark and just turned and walked away. Never returned."
Cons: "You let the Las Vegas 10:10pm flight passengers wait all night, delaying an hour or so each time, moving us from gate to gate. There were no announcements, noone to talk to; families with small children had to keep getting them up to move them through the night. When the flight disappeared from the departure board, we contacted gate crew at another gate, we were assured we would be taken care of, that someone knew what was going on and we would get our flight out. Then we watched the 7:45 am flight to LasVegas depart while we all STILL waited for a plane and crew. When someone finally told us our flight was cancelled around 10:30am (over 12 hours of delays --- preventing us from driving to Vegas or from getting on another flight). We then waited in line for ~2 hours to re-book and another 1.5 hours to record that our luggage was lost. This was ridiculous. While all of the airlines suffered during the weather event that caused delays across the country, Frontier seemed to fall apart. (All up and down DIA Concourse A there were folks waiting for extended periods of time for Frontier flights, while across the aisle other airlines were departing on time or with shorter delays.) Noone communicated with us, noone seemed to care. Crew we did talk to seemed as frustrated as we were with the situation, short-staffing, and poor communication. I used to be a devoted Frontier traveler; I will never fly Frontier again."
Cons: "Staff was rude, showed no empathy and showed a genuine lack of really trying to help. Claimed the earliest that could get on a plane to final destination was Friday (5 days). Said the reason was the flight crew had timed out but it took hours to get that answer and they could not help with accommodations. The only thing would be to schedule for Friday or give a full refund from what was paid for the entire trip. Took the full refund and booked a oneway trip on another airline for twice what originally paid for the round trip ticket. Worst experience with any airline. Ever!"
Pros: "The staff are friendly and professional, for the most part. Check-in was easy and I wasn't hassled about my 'personal item' being too big, which I was sure it was."
Cons: "Firstly, I'm pretty sure that the planes Frontier uses are re-purposed prison planes. The seats don't recline and are uncomfortable as all get-out. They cram you into some kind of military stress-position that ensures you won't sleep, won't be comfortable, and will be reduced into an unsmiling pile of compliance. Secondly, Frontier charges for *everything* - carry-on? That'll be $40-$60. You want a soda? That'll be $2.00. Snack? Yep... pay up, sucka. Water's free, thankfully. That said, the price was right and the flight was mercifully short; so I'd probably do it again. Because I'm a sadist, apparently."
Cons: "I understand that a lot of flights are charging for snacks and drinks these days and calling it a la carte (to make it sound fancy enough to justify the expense), but it is ridiculous to be expected to pay $3 for a bag of pretzels or a soda on a flight. Hiding that cost in the price of the ticket gives a MUCH better impression than being on the flight and waiting for the long-standing cherished ritual of accepting your meager snack, only to find that you have to pay $6 for it. Between this and the overall discomfort of the seats (they didn't recline, so I couldn't nap), the lack of in-flight magazine (if I can't nap, can't I at least pass the time with a crossword?), the carry-on fee, and the fact that the flight crew reminded us four or five times that they were also the clean-up crew so we should help them out by not littering, it was the most uncomfortable of any flight I have ever taken."
Cons: "You have to pay for everything. It was $45 to check a bag, and $40 to store a bag in the overhead compartment. My husband and I would have had to pay an additional $30 to sit next to each other. On the flight out, the stewardess asked us if we wanted to buy any food or drinks, but never offered even free water. The seats are horribly uncomfortable. I was in the middle seat on a red eye, and I was so cramped and sore, I couldn't fall asleep for more than a minute. I landed feeling exhausted, sore, and miserable. This was my first and last time flying on Frontier."
Pros: "Flight was at a low price and convenient."
Cons: "Mobile app was not working correctly and a ticket agent helped me purchase there at a discounted price. On the way back the ticket person didn't help at all and said she knew they were having problems with the mobile app. Said she could do nothing and quickly gave me a customer service number to call. Wow that was really effortless. If you have an app to purchase at a lower price for carry on and it is not working then have a back up plan to help you customer get what is advertised. Like it was a bait and hook. Besides that everything else was OK."
Pros: "Prices we're good. The on flight staff was friendly, it's unfortunate that you have to pay extra for non alcoholic drinks and carry on bags. Gone are the days of cheap flights AND honey roasted peanuts. But I guess that's the trade off for cheap airfare now a days."
Cons: "On our departing flight my husband and I had gotten us and our 4 kids up to the gate only to realize I had forgotten to add my lap child to my ticket. I get that it was not convenient but the lady was very short and rude and angry with us, she treated us like complete idiots. While it was an unfortunate thing to have slip my mind, it happens! I was bound to forget something when packing and prepping for me and 4 kids to travel. We offered to show our post on Facebook when our daughter was born as proof of age. But she gufawed that ridiculous idea. Because obviously we could have set up fake accounts and hacked the dates to make it look like our kids was under 2!! Really!?? A social security card doesn't even show birth dates. Anyway, the whole charade left us feeling very embarrassed, frustrated and like we were criminals or something. She handled things very unprofessionally and showed us no empathy whatsoever. She told us we would not be allowed onto our return flight without a ss card or birth cert. Which we got when we reached our destination. Upon boarding for the return flight the workers were great. They let us right on the flight and didn't even ask for the birth cert. or anything. They used common sense. Which is what I wished this other flight attendant had more of."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very helpful."
Cons: "Other than paying for the actual ticket, which was NOT cheap (approx. 40% more than getting there AND it was a "red eye" to boot) everything else was an "add on".....pay for "carry on", pay for seat assignment, pay for coffee......everything was extra. On top of this, most of the seats did not recline and had very little padding.........I guess you could pay for reclining seats. Although the Exit seats were empty, you could not sit in them unless you paid for them. My wife's reading light did NOT work.......I guess she didn't pay for the light!!! The flight attendant apologized and said it's been on a work order to fix and offered to provide another seat ONLY for her!!! I'll NEVER fly Frontier again."
Pros: "Liked the price of the tickets, but boarding the plane was so stuffy it activated my breathing issues and I coughed from it for the entire flight. The flight to Las Vegas was fairly well. The return not so well."
Cons: "seriously the airlines charge for what is normally complimentary beverages, carry on luggage and take advantage of first time elderly flying. oh and our flight I had this man behind me kicked my seat the entire flight, I would finally get almost asleep and the moron struck again. And I am the bad person. I believe the pilots may want to spend a little more time learning to descend more slowly to provide comfort to passengers if that is a concern. Descending quickly hurts customers with sensitive ear canals."
Cons: "I won't fly Frontier again. The fact that we arrived into Colorado Springs 5 1/2 hours late wasn't the issue, as weather cannot be helped. But it was the lack of organization in the face of adversity that aggravated all the customers most. I would think a prestigious company like Frontier would have a better Plan B, than to unload us all in DIA, not allow us to retrieve our bags and find a faster way home, wait for a new flight crew, wait longer for a new plane, and once re-boarding to wait even longer because bags had never been loaded onto the new plane and there was no ramp crew. A shuttle to Colorado Springs would have been three hours faster. Think outside the box. Our patience was indeed tested."
Pros: "Can say I liked anything really"
Cons: "Staff was horrible! Customer service did anything but customer service. They had a "too bad so sad" attitude towards customer. Arrived 12:35am for a 1:19am flight and was denied check in because supposedly counter closes at 12:30am. So I was denied entry for 5 minutes? I had to pay a taxi, extra night at hotel then a fee for rescheduling flight. Ridiculous, NECER flying Frontier again! Even if tickets were free! I booked/found flight on kayak app. I would suggest kayak remove them, experience was so bad that negatively effects kayaks reputation too. Also, every other airline provides complementary beverages and snacks, NOT Frontier. Also free bag check? Nope frontier charges everything! Even a carry-on which is free everywhere else. Absurd, truly worst flying experience EVER!"
Cons: "I've never had the best flights with Frontier. Every flight I've had scheduled has had a huge delay, and their landing are absolutely ***the worst*** -- when an entire cabin of passengers cheer on a successful landing, it's pretty rough. The carry on cost came at a bit of a surprise, there needs to be a better means of creating awareness for that. Even beverages or snacks on the plane. Bottom-line, it just feels like, "you get what you pay for" in a cheaper airline. Scary landings, delayed flights (with no courteous representatives that explain anything or help a situation), and overcharges on every item the second you start checking in. At the end of the day, I could have flown a more reputable airline and spent the same amount of money -- and felt safer. Which is advisable at this point."
Cons: "Flight was late for boarding. No updates were given as to why or what was going on. The gate agent looked like she had a miserable day and did not offer a customer service attitude. Once on board the seat didn't recline and was hard as a rock, not ideal for a 4 hour flight. The flight attendant (Christine) was short tempered. Crew lacked basic soft skills. This was the first and I am pretty sure the last time I will fly on frontier. While I appreciate the low fares I did not expect the low level of customer service or all the extra fees that are tacked on for seats, checked bags and a drink onboard."
Pros: "I tried really hard, but I can't think of anything that I liked about my frontier experience."
Cons: "There was nothing about any part of this experience to like. When I made the reservation, I accidentally hit the wrong date button and did not notice until I received my email. I contacted customer service immediately, the rep. Was extremely rude and charged me an additional $200 on my ticket to move it to the next day. He charged my Card and did not make the changes. I received an email stating, no changes were made to my Itinerary, it still had the same wrong date, but my credit card had been charged the $200 fee. I called back and got a more helpful person, but was told to contact the flight insurance company, I purchased, to discuss refunding the additional charge. Not only do you pay for your bags, but you pay for your seats, your beverages, your snacks, and your mistakes. I guess that's how they manage to keep costs down. But then again, you get what you pay for!"
Cons: "You get what you pay for. Always bring an empty water bottle to fill up once you clear TSA security because I don't think they provide you with water on the plane. The seats also do not recline. And it's actually cheaper to check a bag ($25) than to bring a carry-on ($30), so I didn't pay for either and instead brought only a big backpack stuffed pretty fully, and it fit under the seat. My return flight was 3 hours late and I wasn't even notified until the original time we were supposed to board."
Cons: "I checked in at a kiosk and had a carry on. Did not realized they charged for a carry on piece of luggage. On the first leg no issues, however on the second leg trying to board in Denver they stopped me while trying to board and said I needed to pay for my carry on. I said I didn't have to on first keg. They didn't care and wanted to charge me double $60. That is totally unacceptable to double the charge because I was paying at the gate. They held up the flight to collect this double fee. I will never take Frontier again."
Pros: "The Customer Service telephone agent and the check in/baggage drop agents were all very nice and helpful. The pilots did an excellent job of providing an uneventful, peaceful, safe, and gentle flight. Takeoff and landing were great on both the inbound and outbound flights. I was able to get to my destination and return home safely on both flights which was my major objective."
Cons: "At least 1-2 flight attendants on both flights, in general, were quite rude and seemed uncaring at times to the needs of some of the other passengers. From chewing and smacking gum, using their cellphones while standing in the aisles amongst the passengers during boarding, and appearing quite irritated/short when interacting with passengers, it seems to me customer service was not a big priority in their training course and/or job requirements. I sat in an "upgraded" ($16 extra), economy, aisle seat, not located immediately in front of or in between the window exits on my outbound flight and in a middle, non-upgraded, economy seat near the back of the plane on my inbound flight. Neither seat was able to recline and both were quite rigid and almost painful to sit in during the flight. I have flown many times throughout my 46 year life, but these had to be the most uncomfortable seats I have ever had on a flight. I understand about saving money and using a no-frills airline carrier, but I think some of the issues mentioned could have been improved without adding any increased cost."
Pros: "The price of the flight was great, until I realized I was being charged for every little thing. What a rip off! I should have flown United."
Cons: "I had a severe allergic reaction due to the passengers in my row carrying four cats. I had to take Benadryl and broke out into hives. The flight attendants didn't even offer to move my seat. It was a truly terrible experience and I can't believe that there's not a better protocol in place with the airline to accommodate customers with severe allergies to animals, even when they are labeled as emotional support animals. This as a truly terrible experience. Thank goodness the flight was only 4 hours. I'll never fly Frontier again."
Cons: "5 days before my flight I went on Frontiers website to buy a seat. I had picked 3A because it allowed me more leg room and a reclining seat. I stand 6' tall! I was gladly to pay the extra cost for the extra comfort. I was having trouble with their website so I ended up calling customer service to complete my transaction. The customer service person said he completed my transaction and seat assignment and would send me a confirmation, soon. The night before my flight, my confirmation finally arrived with the wrong seat. My seat had been changed to the bulkhead with no leg room at all. My original set was sold to someone else. I feel this was very unfair and I should receive a refund. I ended up moving into a row that didn't recline but it had and area under the seat in front of me to at least stretch out a little. Those seats were less expensive. I should have received what I paid for and nothing less!!!!!!"
Pros: "The fact that I got there safely. The seats, the screaming kids, and the especially the kid that the parent did not have in control and was running down the isle when we were in landing position, the captain sitting in front of my other half looked at him and told him to go sit down, my colleague say next to them the parent did not have him buckled up because he said he did not like it! Needless to say my friend was all flipped out after we landed! We had to calm him down! Oh well."
Cons: "The fact that you pay for a ticket then you have to pay for a seat then you have to pay for a checked bag, then you have to pay for a carry on if you wanted to bring one, then you have to pay $2 for a soda which I do not drink anyway, pretty soon you'll have to pay to get a cup of water. Im glad I can bring my own water on the plane. And my own food. 2 Hours the desk opens before a flight? the line was crazy. I will never fly Frontier again. many people I spoke to said the same thing, they wont either. I will fly southwest even if its more expensive because by the time you spend for all these others items your over what you would have spent with Southwest. Thank you."
Cons: "Delays!! Terrible customer service, they didnt care, had a "oh well" attitude. Because of a 6 hour delay in vegas we missed our flight out of denver and was told we would be placed on a flight at 110 pm but when we got to denver we had to wait till 1145 pm to leave. We both missed work. We received a room voucher in denver and when we got to the room had to give them a credit card then were told we had to check out at 11 am that same day and it was 6am when we checked in. Still had to spend over 12 hours in airport. Very unsatisfied and disappointed with the whole experience!!!"
Cons: "I thought I was getting a deal. I got a cheaper flight than the competitor and then they charged me for everything they could.30 bucks for luggage under 50lbs, an extra 40 for a single pound over 50. 40 bucks for a carry on and no free drinks but they will pour some water into a cup for free. I spent the extra money for the front three rows because I'm 6 feet 4 inches and there is extra leg room in the front. I get there and and they say "oh, those are reserved." I said "yeah, I reserved them." I get screwed out of that seat so they try to give me a credit for an airline I will never use again. I got my 30 dollar luggage checked in for free instead of the 50 dollars I spent for the seat. Then!!!!... The SAME thing happened on the way back!!!!! The seats are comaparible to a 100 dollar go cart seat and I had to become a yoga master to use the bathroom, which is due to my height but just icing on the cake or dirt on my mud pie. Spent the extra money on free luggage, padded seats and competency."
Pros: "I liked the low price"
Cons: "I didn't like that as a disabled young person the airline did not accomodate my injury. The previous 7 times I've flown since my injury each and every airline has given me priority boarding AS WELL as priority seating with more leg room. I cannot bend my right knee enough to sit in a regular airline seat. The entire 4 hour plane ride I was in pain and had to consume more then normal pain medication to make it through the flight. It's absolutely unacceptable in 2016 to comepletely disregard persons with disabilities when it comes to flying. I plan on writing a letter to Frontier airlines, as well as any affiliated companies they work with. I will not rest until it's assured this does not happen to anyone else."
Pros: "Initial price--before extra bag charges, charging for food, etc."
Cons: "This is perhaps my fault, but I did not expect to have to spend another $150+ on bags over my round trip. I guess I am used to the old days of good flight space, no bag charges and food/drink. These days we are treated like cattle, and I don't like it--but especially because I had no idea going in that Frontier would charge for bags ($85 to fly from CLT to Las Vegas; a little less upon returning). Frankly, it so turned me off, I will try hard not to fly Frontier again. BTW, Frontier did not communicate well where our bags would be waiting in Las Vegas, and I ended up walking around carousels only to learn I was in the wrong baggage area."
THE FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED SO NOT CANCELLING MY FLIGHT WOULDVE BEEN GREAT!
Cons: "I tried to change my ticket. There would be a $99 fee plus the difference in price. To do that, I might as well purchase a new ticket. The price of the baggage was basically half the price of the ticket. Spent nearly $500 on what was supposed to have been a relatively less expensive flight"
Cons: "Timing seats and seat request"
Pros: "The outgoing flight crew was extremely attentive and personable the return flight crew was pleasant also"
Cons: "They were extensive delays for both legs of the flight as well as extensive delays in the baggage claim for both legs of the flight which made it extremely difficult since both flights for five hours long."
Pros: "Nothing. My first & last time flying with them"
Cons: "All of Spirit Employee are RUDE!!!"
Pros: "The crew was very nice but the communication regarding the delay was lackluster."
Cons: "The seats were uncomfortable and the price for baggage was hefty. I won't fly Spirit again just to save a buck because I ended up spending just as much as I would have on another airline and I sacrificed the comfort and entertainment that other airlines offer."
Pros: "The pilot gave a smooth take take-off and landing."
Cons: "A la carte flying is not for me. Next time I'll pay extra for inclusion ... and omit the nickel and dime racket."
Cons: "My flight was cancelled an hour before take off. I stood in a ticketing line for over 3 hours to rebook. I paid another baggage fee with Delta Airlines and was seated in a middle seat when I had paid for a window seat with Spirit originally. My baggage missed my connecting flight."
Pros: "Service is excellent. They got me there swiftly and safely - even early. the plane was clean and the rest room fine. However, representing themselves as a discounted airfare seems disingenuous. They charge you for everything - seat selection, carry-ons, printing boarding pass at airport, etc. Add $100+ to the quoted ticket price. (Paying for carry-on did get me priority boarding, which I appreciated.) Be sure to do everything on line before arriving at the airport, as it costs more there. They don't give you anything for free on board, not even water, so be prepared. Also, be prepared for a sales pitch on their credit card. They also squeeze seats in so tightly that, unless you're in the aisle, you have no room to move. You cannot recline, and the seat in front of you is in your face. Personnel were not as friendly as at other airlines."
Cons: "Communication of ground crew was not to the point. It seems like they are making rules on the go. Detailed information of pricing was not clearly provided. The groung crew was rude."
Pros: "How inexpensive and quick the flight was."
Cons: "From the minute I walked into the airport to the spirit counter, all the check in machines were down. I don't fly often so when one of the ladies at the counter said something about checked bags that I didn't understand and I asked her about it she was kind of rude giving her response. The food was expensive and the flight attendant was bitchy. Why don't your seats recline?! And there was gum stuck in pretty much every book (the plane instructions manual, the menu) I get that you get a good deal flying spirit but I feel like your flight attendants hate their jobs."
Pros: "I left the plane and vowed never to travel with them again. I travel a lot and they are the worst in terms of addons, trying to penalize by price, (not cheap) unless you have no reason to take luggage (like a meeting where you need a change of clothes There "basic" is cheap if you need nothing else, but when you start checking luggage at $50 a suitcase a round trip of $100 any bargain is soon gone. And some of the staff (the stewardess outbound from Baltimore is Ok. But they changed planes and the bigger seat I paid for was not available. Getting a refund required checking several times. Most said they couldn't do it. The final person in Baltimore, was "lounging: against the counter". Grabbed by ticket ungraciously. Was clearly irritated that I had a refund provlem that she "had" to deal with. No smile, NO NO For the uninitiated flyer they may work. If you don't know what else is available at what price and if you read there advertising and treat riding with the like voting for trump (believing all untruths) OK. Just not for me who is an experienced flyer. I had heard Spirit was bad from others who said they would never ride with them again. But I gave them one chance--they blew it. Anne"
Pros: "My trip once in Las Vegas was great, however my experience flying with Spirit was the worst for my girlfriend and I. We tried to pay our luggage fees from home but weren't able to do so from our mobile phones, they charged us each $55 for one piece of luggage & they only allow you 40 pounds. Then once at the gate & before boarding the plane they told me I had to pay $65 for my small carry on, it fitted perfectly in their sample measurement they have there & still the woman from Spirit told me if you want to get on the plane you need to pay $65 now or you'll lose the flight. Same for coming back. They didn't even allowed us to sit together. So initially the flight was apparently cheap but with all the expensive luggage fees came up to $500 RT from BWI to Vegas. Worst experience ever! I've flown all over & with many airlines & this has been the worst experience ever, I'm never flying with them again & same for my girlfriend."
Pros: "Flight staff were very nice and accommodating. Seats were small and being unable to recline made the trip extremely miserable."
Pros: "Other than the constant farting by a fellow passenger, it was fine. Met all expectations."
Pros: "Nothing special about this airline, they nickel and dime you for everything!"
Cons: "Flight attendants were not helpful. Seats were uncomfortable, and patchwork, as in they rarely matched (I feel as though due to the rough nature of most of the flight, it is possible this older plane had older parts on the body and elsewhere). They did not know how to deal properly with a drunk and disorderly passenger who threw up all over the window, seat, and floor seconds before take off; flight had to be delayed for removal of the passenger and clean up (the cleaning crew was the only good thing), but the flight from Las Vegas to Baltimore (red eye) had an odor of leftover vomit and bleach. I sat next to this area and there was no option given to me to move from that seat (meanwhile, they allowed people behind me who were not impacted to move to open seats in the front of the plane). NEVER FLY THIS AIRLINE!!! SPEND YOUR MONEY ON A MORE REPUTABLE AIRLINE!!!"
Cons: "The flight was extremely late. The crew did not get us on the plane in a timely manner. Lights were left on even though it was a red eye flight."
Pros: "Since each thing is chargeable, the overall cost comes up to be the same as other airlines. The seats were non reclinable and that is not mentioned when you are booking the seats. For an overnight flight, i think it is important."
Pros: "Not a single thing."
Cons: "The flight was canceled 15 minutes after boarding was supposed to have started. This was at 11PM. We were told to go back to the ticket counter and see if other arrangements could be made. Another flight was also canceled at this time. It took us until 3 am to reach the ticket counter. When I got there the ticket agent asked if I could take a video of the lines for her to send to her children. After declining a 7AM flight with three stops that would have taken us to L.A. first and had us land in Baltimore at midnight, we were given tickets out on Jet Blue, a real airline, the next day at 10AM. We were also given vouchers for 3 meals, a taxi ride to and from the airport, and a hotel. However, no restaurant in the airport would take the vouchers and neither would the taxi back to the airport. The taxi was even the same company that took us to the hotel less that six hours earlier. Spirit barely had any communication with us on any of this. There was never an explanation for why the flight was canceled. They also allowed people to jump the line and get vouchers, slowing the overall process. It is safe to say I will never fly Spirit again, no matter how cheap it is."
Cons: "Bumpy, delayed, uncomfortable ride even by plane standards"
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Smooth flight"
Pros: "ONCE i got on the flight. The actual crew members were lovely. Very personable. The plane was clean. Comfortable. Theer was no entertainment. No tv working anyway. But i was fine. IT WAS EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED BEFORE MY FLIGHT THAT WAS HORRIBLE>"
Cons: "Not only would i NEVER reccomend Spirit. I will be writing about how highly UN satisfied i wa with Spirit and i will HIGHLY discourage anyone of my readers and listeners on air to ever use Spirit. My first encounter was in Baltimore when the woman behind the counter argued with me until i missed my flight. Then when i explained i lost my credit card and HAD to get on the very next flight ( that she made me miss being rude and disrepectful ) i called my husband so he coudl give her our credit card toi book the next flight. She purposefully sat the phone down and waited on others. Then she let him give her all of his information and said Oh Well you have to call reservations. By the time he got through i missed that fligth too. I did not use Spirit that day ! Coming back theer was again a woman working for Spirit at the airport who again was rude and ignorant. She argued with me that i could not take my purse and my carry on bag on to the plane. I have been traveling business for over twenty five years. YES I CAN. AND I DID. Howevr not before she laid her hands on me. When i tried to walk away from her combative behavior. She grabbed my arm. NEVER will i ever say a nice word about Spirit. NEVER will i not try to telkl as many people as possible about the horrible people you have representing your company. They are the First Voice. The First face They are the ones you have chosen to be the FACE OF SPIRIT. You They are highly UN qualified. Most certainly NOT personale, polite , or professional. SMH. Absolutely DISGUSTING."
Pros: "Flight took off on time."
Cons: "The "fees" exceeded the actual cost of the ticket. I feel like I was deceived into paying more than I agreed to pay for my flight."
Pros: "The cheapest prince and the one stop flight"
Cons: "There was no serves for food and drink on the flight. Besides, the flight company only allows one free personal package. If you have a carry-on package, you need to pay $55 for it. And if you pay the $55, the price would become same as AA."
Cons: "Nothing means nothing"
Pros: "I paid on line $80 for my bag to check inn they charge me again $30 because of that I miss my flight and on the way back 2 Hours late"
Pros: "The crew was nice. Both flights departed and arrived on time."
Cons: "While they advertised a rate that was lower than other flights, it ultimately ended up being more expensive than the alternatives because of carry-on fees and seat selection fees. The seats don't recline. On our return flight, several people received printed boarding passes with the same seat assignment. Luckily there were a few available seats after everyone else had boarded, but didn't seem like the most professional operation. The crew indicated that they keep prices low through a quick turnaround, and they rely on passengers to clean the seat pockets. I found a bunch of trash and an apple core in the seat back pocket before my flight! Ew."
Pros: "Nothing at all. I can't think of one good point to say. Maybe I would say the price, but considering how bad they were, it's not worth it."
Cons: "First, the cancelled my flight and didn't contact me. I found out because I was checking the flight status. When I called them, they gave me 2 options: get a refund or flying on the next day. I had book a hotel for that night and had plans for early morning, so I got a refund. Before deciding that, I asked if they could put me in another flight, as I had seen that other companies were flying to my destination. They said "no, because the flight was cancelled due to weather". The weather was bad in Florida, and I was leaving from Baltimore (Maryland) to Las Vegas. My route didn't have anything to do with the weather. I know the plane that was going to take me to Las Vegas was stuck in Miami, but still, that's not my problem. If I was flying to or from a place with bad weather, I would be the first to cancel the trip. The weather didn't have anything to do with me. They gave me that excuse just because they didn't have another plane to fly to Las Vegas. Then, I got a refund and bought tickets from another company, and I spent 200 dollars more (per person, total of 400 dollars). If there were other companies flying the route I wanted, why Spirit couldn't? Anyway, that was the first bad impression. The second was on my way back home. This flight was also through Spirit. Back in September, when I booked the original flight, I saw they charged for carryon luggage (which is outrageous, in my opinion). I paid the fee to be able to bring a carry on with me. However, when this flight was cancelled and I booked the other one, I didn't see anywhere saying that I would pay for carry-on. Also, since the price was so much more expensive than before, I assumed carry on was included. To my surprise, when I got to the airport, it wasn't. I explained everything I wrote here to the attendant and to the manager, and none of them wanted to waive this fee. I explained how Spirit made my trip so stressful, and asked if they could understand that. No, they couldn't, or wouldn't. In the end, after a long discussion, they gave me a 25% discount in the carry on fee. As the cherry on top: there was only one person taking care of boarding, the flight attendant didn't care to explain the procedure for people in the exit row, I didn't see any food or drinks being served (though they passed 5 or 6 times with a garbage bag for trash... And no one had trash to trow away... It's a possibility that I slept, but it's odd anyway), and finally, their seats didn't recline (for an overnight flight, that's no joke). As I said in the beginning, I won't fly Spirit again, ever, no matter how much cheaper their tickets are."
Pros: "Direct Flight, short, good piloting through strong winds"
Cons: "No drink service, prepare to buy everything with CC Low rate plane ticket, bags are expensive and it was $3 for water. Chairs do not decline, plane loud, no entertainment. Good for short trips with just carry-on baggage"
Pros: "It was cheap."
Cons: "i got a notification half way through the day that my 11:30 pm flight was getting delayed an hour, greeaaaat. I got to the airport that evening an hour before we were supposed to board and people watched. The flight before us from our gate was supposed to take off at 11:25 but randomly decided to take off EARLY. 20 people missed the flight and the desk lady said the next flight they could take would be Tuesday and this was a Sunday. What the heck! I digress. So we board our flight and get ready to take off. We are literally in line to go into the air when the captain comes on and says we have to go back to the gate to shift luggage around bc the aircraft is in balanced. Shouldn't they have realized that prior?! So we had to go back and we didn't end up taking off until almost 2:30 am. I will never fly spirit again. It's not worth the cheapness."
Cons: "The weight limit for checked baggage is 40lbs. The scale at the airport is wrong. The internet site is terrible. Will never fly Spirit again."
Cons: "The extra charges for luggage make this flight more expensive than any other company, fisrt and last time I flight with them!"
Pros: "I liked nothing about this airline or the plane."
Cons: "The staff are horrible; don't care about your issue they only want to charge you for things they don't have to. They charged me $110 per trip total of $220 roundtrip and my flight cost $213 roundtrip. They charge $3 for a bottle of water. When I asked for a cup of water they said ONLY IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE A PILL if I do not want to buy a $3 bottle of water. They charged me $55 for a backpack carry on (because it had wheels and it was 18"x14"x10"!!! I would never fly this airline again. None of their seats on the plane recline!!! I was stiff and sore."
Cons: "Most cramped plane I've ever been on. It felt like the plane was going to fall apart on the landing"
Pros: "There were no delays or malfunctions. The flight was smooth and on time."
Cons: "The food/snack options. The amount and/or limited amount stocked."
Cons: "I have an issues with airlines and had to take another flight"
Cons: "Would never fly with spirit again"
Pros: "The price of the flight. Flight Crew members were pleasant."
Cons: "I tend to make the best of all situations but this time it was very difficult. Honestly, I would rather pay the "hidden fees" for a more comfortable flight with the ability to recline my seat, travel with a carry on bag and have in flight refreshments without having to pay extra. Sitting in an upright position for 5 hours straight with no leg room is torture. The thought of dodging hidden fees is great but not at the expense of comfortability and incurring additional baggage and in flight fees. Unfortunately, I would not fly with this airline again unless the flight is 2 hours or less and it was the only option available. Bottled water should be free for travelers even if it's only the 8oz bottles. The snack/drink menu options are limited and the prices are ridiculous. Thank you for the services, however this will not be an option in the future."
Pros: "The only thing positive about the trip was that at least I didn't die in a plane crash."
Cons: "They reduce initial price to attract customers and then double that price with hidden fees. Charges for carry on bags, like any carry on bag, luggage, seat assignements. I'm honestly surprised there wasn't a coin operated lock on the lavatory. Seats don't recline, no padding, no inflight service. Worst cattle car in the sky experience, would rather be mugged... It would cost the same but at least a mugging would be over in minutes."
Cons: "I tried to talk to someone multiple times about issues I was having and each time I basically was just made fun of."
Cons: "Most airlines offer a drink and a small snack. nothing from your airlines and your flights are not that cheap. plus you only allow 40lbs per bag, most airlines are 50lbs and they dont charge more if you pay for the bags at the counted. They dont make you do it prior to getting there. you have too many fees. I even asked for a cup of ice because my throat was dry. they said I had to pay for it. sorry..... that is B.S."
Pros: "The flight was smooth, that's about it."
Cons: "Before I got on the aircraft, I stood at the counter and was ignored for 20 minutes. The flight attendants and person who was supposed to be manning the desk were all laughing and sharing stories near the breezeway and ignoring all the customers to come to the desk. I received my seat assignment just moments before we started boarding. First of all when I got on the airplane the floor and seats were covered with cookies crumbs. Also when I first got on the airplane there was trash still stuffed in the back of the seats. Second of all, the crew, one person in particular was not very professional with some of her comments and reminded me of how a high school student would act. I don't think I'll ever fly Spirit Airlines again and less it's a very short duration flight . The seats in this aircraft did not recline at all either and were really uncomfortable,"
Pros: "Nothing good to say about this airline... I tried to come up with something positive to say but I'm just at a loss."
Cons: "This company is the worst from trying to check in online and having to become and frequent flyer just to be able to check in for my flight been trying to get a seat next to my friend who is booked separately in finding out if you want to choose your seat you have to pay extra. So when I went online to choose and pay for that seat I still ended up with a seat not next to her and was told that I never picked the seat.uuuummm....yeah... I did... doing the online check-in is pointless because he still have to wait in this incredibly long line .. they charge you for a carry yup and if you don't pay for it by a certain time then they gauge you and charge you $100 for a carry on. and I said to one of the "customer service" reps and I use that term loosely ... how is this company still in business?! you might want to look for another job.... there were two rows of empty seats in the back of the overnight flight which was incredibly long and uncomfortable however Airline attendants would not let anybody use any of those seats. And were incredibly rude about it at one point this thug of a flight attendant starts rudely and loudly telling is for older women who did not speak English to put on her seatbelt he clearly did not understand what he was saying and he just started seeing it louder and louder and louder instead of just helping herhe was very nasty about it . Never...again. ..."
Cons: "You don't know you are going to be charged for every little item until you have bought the flight. At least it wasn't obvious to me. I had to pay for my carry on bag, in addition to my checked bag. If I wanted a drink of Coke or water on the flight, I had to pay for it. I had to pay to pick my seats online before the flight. If I wanted to print my boarding pass at the airport check-in terminal (which is what you typically do), I had to pay for it. I was surprised I didn't have to pay to use the bathroom on the plane. By the time you add up all the extra charges for these items with the cost of the actual flight, I ended up paying more than I would have if I just booked a flight with another airline that included these items as complementary. To top things off, the seats are very, very, uncomfortable. There is hardly any padding in the seat, and you feel like you are sitting on boards. The seats are very tight, and they don't recline at all. If you are super, super cheap, don't need a carry on bag, or checked bag, don't need to eat or drink your entire flight, and don't mind being crammed into a small very uncomfortable seat while you fly, then I guess this is the flight for you. Worst flight I have ever been on. I regret not using one of the major airlines. Will never use again!"
Cons: "Charge for small carry on. I joined their $9 club but the cost was really $59.95 for membership. Very misleading. They canceled my return flight for weather, and couldn't rebook me until 3 days later. People have to work and family to get back to. All other airlines didn't have a problem flying into the Washington DC area. Seats where realy really small. No free drinks, seats didn't recline. and an overall bad experience. I will never fly Spirit again."
Cons: "Well, it is 7:30 Monday Feb 15, and I am still waiting to board my Saturday Feb 13 flight. Just found out tonight's festivities are already delayed 1 hour "estimated" so if I am lucky, I might only leave 2 days late for my flight Spirit attempted to credit me the fee for flight on phone, and THEN charge me another $200 for a replacement flight. All Class that Spirit"
Cons: "They cancelled our flight with no reason at all 6 hours prior!! They then said our only option was to reschedule for two days later.... I had to pay close to $300 to book a flight on another airline. On my flight home I met two other couples sitting near me that were cancelled the day before on two other Spirit flights. How can this company be allowed to fly? I have never in my 55 years ever heard of something like this. I thought I was getting a deal flying Spirit. On my outbound flight I had to pay an additional $115. in order to check one bag each and get an assigned seat, $300. to change my flight coming home. At the end of the day, this was way more expensive than any other flight I could have booked from the beginning. NEVER AGAIN!!"
