Cons: "I travel this route (ATL - MGM) often and it seems like half the time I use Delta there is an issue with the plane including times when the flight has been cancelled. This time the plane left the gate and some fifteen minutes after sitting on the tarmac was taken back to the gate. The issue was said to be an element that keeps a sensor from freezing in extreme cold weather. The less than one hour flight took two hours to complete. This should have been dealt with as a maintenance issue but Delta doesn't seem to think so. The planes on this route make Delta a LOT of money as it is one of the most profitable routes in the US. You would think Delta could invest in keeping better maintained planes on the route."

I was very happy about that. They did issue waivers for those who could not make the later time. Once delta got the ok to fly.. The flight left the gate very fast and we arrived and exited the plane super fast too. The process was so efficient and quick, I did not feel the waiting period. The flight attendance were so happy and positive, they made he flight very enjoyable. Great job delta!"

Cons: "I always have preferred American Airlines but they seem to have constant problems with the aircraft these days. This causes delays and missed connections. This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home."

One of the kiosks was down and the line to self-check was long and moved very slowly because there was only one agent behind the self-check baggage drop. She did well keeping up but there was a long line of unhappy customers due to the long wait. No snack was offered but I did get a glass of water. Not enough overhead storage for the carry-on bags because passengers get the luggage check tag but brought the carry-on onboard anyway."

Cons: "First, they charged 50$ (!!!) for each check in bag while most airlines charge 25$. That is double! And for a domestic flight!! To top that, no one at the check in counter had told us that skateboards are not allowed on board (even though they saw us with it). We arrived at the gate, about to board the flight and a second before getting on the plane, we were told that we could not go on with the skate board. All this is while we see people take in strollers that are far bigger than a simple board with wheels. They claimed that it's a "weapon". It is as much a weapon as a stroller. They made us pay additional 65$ (!!!) just to throw it inthe bells with no wrapping or bag, and to sign a liability release so if it will break we wouldn't be able to sue. We felt completely ripped off! The only other option according to them was to pack it and board the next flight (of course this was a non- refundable flight). To top everything off- the airplane was old, they sold one seat to oversized people in a way that it was impossible to have your iwnspace and they didn't even serve water in a 3.5 hiur flight. It was a horrible experience and we wouldn't recommend spirit airlines to anyone ever. We ended up paying an extra 165$!!!"

Surely the airline could stock a few gallons of water for dehydrated passengers? The cost of my two bags would have covered bottled water for everyone on the flight."

The only thing that's good about this airline is the pricing."

I was told I was to late and would have to take the next flight to Detroit, which wasn't until 8:15 a.m. I pleaded and offered to take my luggage to the plane and carry it to the baggage workers, but it was to no avail. I was booked for the 8:15 a.m. flight to Detroit. I was very disappointed to be informed that it would cost me $99.00 to make the change."

Cons: "boarding was late as usual crew was mostly rude seats are cramped with no leg room food?!? bahahahaha ~ yeah, if you want to pay yet another added cost to fly with Spirit Entertainment ~ there is none but luckily my view was nice & I had a ton of pictures that I needed to filter through on my phone"
Cons: "They will charge you to breath on the flight. Don't get tricked by the low air fair, the extras will equal to more than any other flight you would've taken. $34 for checking in a bag, $32 for carry on. $5 for a soft drink on the plane. The customer service is also horrible all employees are extremely rude and don't care about you. I will never fly with them again and I suggest you shouldn't either."
Pros: "Creating my own itinerary through a 3rd-party (Kayak) online reservation agent, I was unaware of the $52 add-on baggage fee. And when I tried to use the electronic kiosk to check in, it was not functioning properly. Although it not just Spirit Airlines, but I feel as though these additional fees aren't spelled out to the consumer well enough and therefore are somewhat disingenuous in their relationships with their customers."
Pros: "Everything from the moment we arrived at ticketing/baggage check-in until we hit the ground at home - everything went well. The plane crew were cordial and efficient; the captain even knew how to deliver the right message in a good tone."
Cons: "Most airlines offer a drink and a small snack. nothing from your airlines and your flights are not that cheap. plus you only allow 40lbs per bag, most airlines are 50lbs and they dont charge more if you pay for the bags at the counted. They dont make you do it prior to getting there. you have too many fees. I even asked for a cup of ice because my throat was dry. they said I had to pay for it. sorry..... that is B.S."

Cons: "This company sells cheap flights for one reason, its services are poor, its planes are very tight and there's nothing to help you enjoy the hours in the plane. You can't take a carry on bag, you have to pay to choose your seat, everything that you want a bit more comfort, you will have to pay."
Cons: "They charge $40 per checked bag! And carryons are even more! Oh, and you have to buy your seat...and a soda if you want one. Buy your baggage online because it's double the price at the airport. I'm 5'7" and my legs didn't fit in the seat-first time ever! Baggage drop- what a joke- we waited 45 minutes in line to drop off our prepaid bags."
