Just be prepared for LONG lines at passport checkout.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Mar 2026
Arrive super early and prepare for security to take forever.
Verified travelerFlew with Scandinavian Airlines-Jan 2026
From Newark airport I had a tight 55min connection which I was late for. Book longer connections if possible.
EdmondFlew with Lufthansa-Jul 2025
The Airtrain service is now under construction, so one rail is closed. So it would be better to get to the airport by not using the train...
himanshuFlew with Aer Lingus-Jun 2025
Eat and drink before boarding. Snacks. Hand gel and surface wipes . Don't expect a window if in a window row.
GalFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2025
Try and bring your own water on board
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Jun 2025
Pay for your bags at time of arrival and not through a third party site, they will rip you off!
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Apr 2025
Be ready for checking luggage and going through security. We did and sailed right through.
Verified travelerFlew with Brussels Airlines-Mar 2025
Wear comfortable clothes, use the bathroom a few times, and try to get plenty of sleep.
MichaelFlew with Lufthansa-Mar 2025
Get seats in a back, more chances to get empty seat next to you
FlorenceFlew with TAP AIR PORTUGAL-Dec 2024
Both flights needed a bus from terminal to plane and plane to terminal. The transfer to the connecting flight at Lisbon was quick and easy with luggage checked thru to Venice.
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Jan 2025
It’s a long flight. Find the most comfortable travel pillow it helps a lot.
Verified travelerFlew with Austrian Airlines-Jan 2025
For families, don’t expect your strollers to arrive at the airplane’s door.
Verified travelerFlew with Emirates-Sep 2024
Newark is definitely my favorite airport in the area but terminal B does not have TSA precheck line. Going through security was very chaotic almost like JFK. Maybe next time I will try a different airline.
SanjayFlew with Lufthansa-Sep 2024
Golden rule for connecting flights in & out of Europe. Minimum 3 hour layover.
AnastasiaFlew with Lufthansa-Sep 2024
Keep plenty of time for security searches, they are unpredictable.
patrickFlew with French Bee-Sep 2024
Make a plan for parking and give yourself time to park, the long-term lots are a dystopian hellscape, mixed with an outtake from the Sopranos. My GPS had trouble navigating all the access roads and elevated roads.
Verified travelerFlew with French Bee-Jun 2024
If you have the space, pack your own food, just make sure it’s not smelly.
HashemFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2024
I don’t think any airline has the best boarding. Maybe American Airlines has the most comfortable and up-to-date airplanes. Always go super early to any airport leave an apple AirTag in your bag always ask Agent if your chair and or seat will be properly working
JuliaFlew with United Airlines-Jun 2024
If you are flying out of Terminal B, give yourself plenty of time. There was only one security line for gates 60- and up. Took almost an hour to clear security.
MarinaFlew with Lufthansa-Jun 2024
Priority luggage came out of the plain the last one. Diffucult to navicate between first and secod terminal to get a rented car,
Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Aug 2024
Leave yourself a minimum of 4 hours for connecting flight if you use Lufthansa. Expect delays for no reason.
Verified travelerFlew with Aer Lingus-Apr 2024
JFK is an amazing airport, they have TSA precheck which was not offered when I flew Aer Lingus/Newark. The TSA precheck line took a long time, they only had 2 machines and a few agents working. Other than that Newark was as any other airport, easy bag check in process and gate seating area was clean and comfortable.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Feb 2024
BA is the only check in located on the first floor of Terminal B behind the baggage ans escalators. It is very hard to find. However, arriving early meant check in was a breeze and NO LINE at security. That has never happened at any airport. They are doing it right.
