Cons: We need quality options for snacks.
Pros: Crew was amazing.
Pros: I love JetBlue service and the crew. Every time.
Pros: The flight was smooth and on time. The crew members were very nice and helpful
Cons: JetBlue is the best
Pros: Did not like the flight at all. The crew on the ticketing desk was really helpful and nice
Cons: Everything, they screwed up ticket. I had to take a later flight. I felt like a sardine. Will not travel with jet blue in the future.
Pros: Crew was ok.
Cons: Less travelers allowed to fly due to pandemic
Cons: There were no movies
Pros: They did their job as expected.
Cons: JetBlue crew seem a bit overwhelmed and stressed. I felt they took that on the passengers
Cons: No in flight entertainment at our seats
Pros: My flight was full of funny kids so I enjoy my flight a lot and the flight attendant was great too
Cons: Snacks we need more snacks
Pros: It’s nice that a snack was provided. Other airlines have stopped serving snacks because of COVID-19
Cons: Crew could have been more welcoming.
Pros: Good crew
Cons: No food for a seven hour flight to Ecuador?? Insane
Pros: Good leg room
Cons: Old plane and time for the boneyard.
Pros: The Agents at the counter in the terminal gate were courteous.
Cons: My flight was delayed because an attendant had to be swapped out, then the replacement was stuck in traffic for an hour (why not have all attendants ready on-airport?). Comically, we taxied on the runway for over an hour, which caused more delays with the plane needing to be de-iced. Figured I'd put all that behind me, but then the flight experienced one of the worst turbulences I've been in. We jerked through the skies many times, and the pilots weren't reassuring. Thankfully we landed okay, but not after being late by multiple hours. Also, JetBlue needs to invest in its planes, esp. its Couch section. I felt like a pretzel with on room to breathe.
Pros: Jet blue has free potato chips and also allows you to watch television.
Cons: Jet Blue provided 5 sequential delay messages over an hour. Their inability to better estimate departure is disappointing. The real problem is that delay was caused directly by the airline's incompetence. There were no weather issues, the takeoff spots were available. They simply failed to load snacks. Although there WAS a minor prior delay bc a slightly late plane arrival, we eventually were delayed about an extra hour to supply snacks on a 4-hr flight. Given the ground crew had EXTRA time to load and also considering the tiny set of options offered, this is senseless. Further, b/c they ran out of overhead bins, they offered to GATE check my luggage. This was essentially a lie - they put it with checked bags, unlike the gate checked items I watched others retrieve. The combination of these errors led me to arrive at the car rental desk after closure. This caused me to incur a taxi fare, so spend 30 min or so working out an alternative rental the following day, and then yet ANOTHER cab to the Car Desk to get the car. This is the only time in my hundred or so car rentals anything like this has happened. I will certainly think twice (or more) before booking Jet Blue again.
Pros: Captain ended up being a good pilot with a very smooth landing,
Cons: Our flight was delayed 2 hours because the crew was comprised of members from flights delayed by the snowstorm. Even though gate attendants knew they were on their way, attendants refused to let us board until the crew was all on board. Then we had to wait some more....... Also they were lax on pre-boarding announcements, not letting families with children on first. And waiting until each group was fully boarded before announcing the next. Plus the enunciation of various announcements was difficult to understand and/or way too fast. It wasn't funny.
Pros: Pretty average JetBlue flight. I love the direct TV and wifi
Cons: Annoying and time consuming to discover that I couldn’t check in for my flight anywhere besides the counter at JFK because I had two layovers and that JetBlue and Hawaiian had completely different itineraries for me. And then when the flight attendant who checked me in mocked my 2 layover itinerary and said there was a direct flight to HNL from JFK leaving later that morning, she at least could have tried to sell me a seat on that flight, rather than rudely laugh at me “I guess you can only do what you can do” like I was too poor or something. That was annoying. I’m bored of the JetBlue snack selection it’s been the same for years.
Pros: The Jetblue lounge at JFK.. and the TV was pretty nice
Cons: To start, the plane was delayed due to inflight crew getting in late which is fine.. but our departure time never updated and the attendants were transparent but never mentioned a new time. After onboarding we got stuck on the tarmac due to traffic. Flight took off with turbulence to start and finally after 45 mins we got bottles of water. I asked crew if they would come around with more... I was starving and also have the perk of free alcoholic beverages in flight. I was offered neither and we only received chips 1+ hour into the flight. One of our TVs broke and the crew wasn’t helpful in an alternative... Overall worst Jetblue exp I’ve had to date, and I’ve flown with them a lot due to my Mosaic status..
Cons: When I arrived at JFK after 14 hours long flight on Emirates, the service counter was understaffed with 1 hour long lines! Un-acceptable! Especially, since all I needed is to re-print my boarding pass, because US TSA would not accept the boarding pass printed by Emirates in India. The kiosk would not recognize my name on reservation! The kiosk did not recognize my recently issued US passport! Bloody annoying! Only able to print the pass after keying reservation code - yet, again not acceptable! The other, earlier attempts should have recognized me and found my reservation! Very upset with quality of service on the ground!
Pros: The atmosphere was just right for flying except when I entered the Aircraft I was totally turned off when I encountered a woman and her child and her carry-on pieces was already established in my seat 2A. She did move when I requested but what got me annoyed she had me locked in my seat because all her belongings remained in the passage way making it difficult to make my way to the restroom. IN MY OPINION THIS WAS A SAFETY HAZARD. I had every reason to suspect that she is known to the captain because he came to greet her. ERROLD
Cons: NO EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON ENSURING THAT SAFETY IS CARRIED OUT. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL TRAVELLING EXPERIENCES ON A VARIETY OF AIRLINES AND THIS WAS THE WORST FOR SAFETY. UNFORTUNATELY I HAD TO MAKE USE OF THE RESTROOM AND HAD TO BE USING MY ATHELETIC SKILS TO GET BY. THIS REALLY SPOILT MY FLIGHT. MY FLIGHT # WAS 881 TO ST. LUCIA SEAT 2A. SAFETY SHOULD NEVER BE COMPROMISED EVEN IF FRIENDSHIP IS INVOLVED.
Pros: Price of ticket is about it.
Cons: From the time I got to the gate 90 minutes before flight to the time I got off it was terrable. Delays before boarding with no explanation then the same continued onboarding. First it was waiting for bags. Strange when there's a 2 hour+ delay that all the bags weren't there? Then waiting for paperwork followed by the part they needed was incorrect and a new one was on it's way from the hanger.. Finally departed 1 hour plus later. The plane was an old cattle car. Free TV didn't work right, so at did not recline (no it wasn't an exit row.). Most of the crew and gate attendants were rude and indifferent except for on flight attendant. The entire row of seats didn't recline at all. She was very apologetic and acknowledged it was uncomfortable especially on a 5+hour flight. She did offer us something to eat, blankets earbud. Still my back was killing me upon arrival at Phoenix. JEt Blue. Get your act together. This is unacceptable.
Cons: The flight was delayed 6hrs 30 mins and changed departure gate twice. At no point was there a gate change announcement overhead (there were gate change announcements made for flights to Bermuda, Boston and San Francisco). During the boarding process many people stood and went in before their group was called, one agent noticed it and told the agent checking the boarding passes “all of these people are group A?” To which the other agent replied: “no, but I can’t do anything about it”. If there are group assignments, they need to honor that, as some people pay to board earlier.
Pros: Cabin crew were great at looking after us and we had plenty of legroom in coach!
Cons: The entertainment selection was a bit limited and there was no wi-fi.
Pros: The crew was great, and so was a JetBlue pilot dead-heading in the seat next to me. I liked the space in the MoreSpace seat I paid for. I relieved that the upgrade seat came with boarding in the first group. Some airlines you pay for the seat, but you're still group 3 or 4 and, meaning all sorts of anxiety about the most miserable part of any flight, the dreaded fight for the overhead bins, wondering it you'll have to check the bag and then wait for it at the destination. Thank you for removing that.
Cons: The flight took off two hours late. We were suppose to arrive at our destination at twenty minutes after midnight, and instead did not arrive until 2:30 a.m. You felt like the pilot got on the plane when you did with no planning involved on how to get to Austin. I later learned that Jet Blue has the worst on time record of all the airlines. And you got nothing to compensate you for the inconvenience. I am really disappointed in Kayak for not making it known on our ticket that we were flying from New York to Austin on Jet Blue. When buying my tickets on Kayak, it appeared on my itinerary that all my flights were on Iceland Air. It was very confusing to me, as I don't travel very frequently. And airport staff is not very helpful when you are in this situation. Due to all the confusion, I will probably use another airline search tool for my next trip to see if I can lessen the confusion.
Pros: Seating is spacious, food was okay, entertainment was sufficient but not the best. Overall I was impressed with Jet Blue and will most likely fly with them again in future.
Cons: Didn't like a huge argument taking place between one family which held the flight up by at least 30 minutes. The crew were very patient with this family, but the passengers were not. I think the family should have been removed and asked to take another flight so that my flight could leave on time. It made everyone very nervous because we didn't know to what extent this conflict would escalate, so we had to sit listening to 3 or 4 members of the family arguing and constantly removing passports from luggage and going back and forth in and out of the plane. One member of this family actually entered the cockpit, which unnerved me because of the risks with terrorists these days. The family appeared to be of muslim descent.
Cons: I was delayed half a dozen times, only to be canceled. Rescheduled on a flight that was scheduled to depart two hours before the original flight. Rescheduled after an hour hold. That flight was delayed the following day. Was diverted to Baltimore only to find out only some of us on our flight are getting out by a rude agent. Then no information at all. Had to run to catch an amtrak. Later found out if I stayed I would have stayed another 13 hours in Baltimore. Missed work and had no one home to take care of my family. Oh, and travel insurance will not cover anything. The plane itself was falling apart. Seat was broken and dirty. Everyones lights were broken and it smelled.
Pros: Literally the worst flight I’ve ever been on in my life.
Cons: We were seated behind a woman who brought a sick cat into the flight. The stench of cat feces was overwhelming. When we addressed it with the staff, they were incredibly rude. I also shared that I had a very significant cat allergy. The staff continued to be incredibly rude, and eventually offered a single seat in the back, which would not accommodate the two of us. The woman next to us also expressed her extreme discomfort and was condescended and disrespected, as well. Shocking, miserable experience.
Pros: The entertament options from new releases to tv shows was good ..
Cons: The staff was disorganized and seemed a bit frantic at one point they announce a need for a doctor on board .. we where never told that the passanger was allright .. There was a chilld who sat behind me that kick my chair the entire time and stuck his hands in between which where sticky in between the seat over and over again grabbing me he was loud and sick with what seem to be a cold and kept touching me though the seat would not listen to the adult that was with him i understand that he is a child but this went on the entire flight which was over five hours my back is still not ok .. snacks where serve late into the filght once.. staff was not friendly...
Pros: Food was really good, but the cabin crew were up to JetBlue's normal outstanding service
Cons: The range of movies is still pretty poor (if you're a frequent JetBlue traveller)
Pros: Virtually nothing.
Cons: Direct TV didn't work -- provided only one station, with a constant scroll across the bottom of the screen promoting the imminent start of movies that we're impossible to access. And even this one station would disappear from time to time. None of the seat-mounted controls worked -- including channel, volume, brightness, and music. And you couldn't even turn the damned thing off so it glowed in your face all through the overnight flight. In short, a terribly boring 6.5 hours aloft in terribly uncomfortable seats.
Pros: Nice crew..
Pros: We boarded right on time and the boarding process was smooth.
Cons: Our flight was delayed three hours because of air conditioning malfunctioning on the plane. We sat on the tarmac for almost two and a half hours, and it must have been around 85 degrees on the plane. There was a lot of miscommunication about whether we would be switching aircraft. They finally told us to deplane because we were probably going to switch planes. After 15 minutes in the terminal, we reboarded the same plane. Got to LA 3 hours late so had to deal with horrible rush hour traffic, which we had hoped to avoid had we taken off on time.
Pros: The convenience of landing and being so close to home. Only wished there were more flights avail with better times.
Cons: 1) The time of this flight is a bit much. I understand that it is close to my home but I know if Jet Blue adds 1 or 2 more flights, they would totally get booked up. The leaving JFK at almost midnight and then the time difference is horrible. 2)This flight had a child that got sick and we were delayed about 40-45 mins. Totally worth it but it made for an even harder time getting in at almost 630am PR time. 3) The turbulence was horrible. We were warned but so many customers were getting sick. Its was unpleasant to say the least.
Cons: Flight was delayed over 5 hrs. Not the airline's fault but waited in the help line for over an hr before the agent told me there was no earlier flight I could be placed on - she was incorrect. Pointed out that there was another flight that had also been delayed and therefore hadn't left yet - she agreed, put me on standby. At the gate, the boarding crew did not know what they were doing. The plane was 20% empty but crew made situation very hectic by giving standby passengers seats, taking them away, and then realizing there was actually enough room on the plane. Crew was friendly but incompetent in terms of problem solving.
Cons: First thing, when i arrived to check my bags the lady giving help was useless, i was really stressed and i asked her some questions and she was answering upset, then i found a guy who help me to do my things there. In the boarding there wasn't any space for my things, my carry on bag and my personal item .. i was trying to get some help to one of the guys working inside the plane because the top compartment was full, when i ask him he just say that space is for all in the plane isn't suppose to be space for you there if some other guest took it.. I was really upset because i paid for my flight ticket and it was included my carry on and my personal item.. otherwise i know there is more people in the plane but is not like i brought more things than the ones i paid for... if you don't have capacity for all the guest you should say it before... The flight was delayed with an hour..
Cons: TSA held me up with a 30 minute bag check so I arrived for an 11:30 AM flight at 11:16 AM. I was told that because I was a minute late they wouldn't let me on even though the plane was still in the runway and connected to the terminal. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the agent disappeared for 10 minutes while the plane took off. I then went to go speak to a customer service agent who wouldn't even look at me while I spoke. She actually started listening to and talking with another agent while I was talking to her. Then when I was finished, she started arguing with me until another agent said "he's not worth it." JetBlue just lost my business.
Pros: The crew was helpful.
Cons: Flight was over two hours late. No excuse was given. Original Departure time was 9:30pm. Was receiving alerts beginning from that morning notifying of delays which continued as I waited at the airport that night. This seems to happen frequently and nothing is ever done to make it up to travelers. On the plane, the audio for the tv had static so you couldn't actually hear anything. It doesn't seem like you can turn the tvs off, which is annoying as they emit light, so if you want to sleep you have to deal with the light from your tv.
Pros: We got to our final destination.
Cons: We needed to wait for "just a few minutes." The Captain said. Then, no other communication at all and we left over an hour late for a 45-minute flight, no explanation. I hate when they leave you in the dark and aren't upfront. The connection from Emirates to JetBlue we had was almost impossible. Two healthy adults, arriving on time in NYC with two hours to make a connection. With walking as fast as possible and not even going to the bathroom, we barely made the flight. Customs. Change terminals. Go through security again. ridiculous.
Pros: The people who worked there were professional. The other passengers were nice.
Cons: The seats, even the upgraded ones, didn't recline sufficiently to let my head drop back. This meant that for a period of four plus hours, I was stuck in an incredibly uncomfortable sitting position -- tilted slightly forward, via the placement of my head. And it also meant that the only way to try to sleep was by pitching forward over the tray, hunched forward in a way that didn't allow me to breathe fully. I tried slouching down, and it didn't help. The way that the lumbar was positioned also pushed me forward. The pillows were too small to lift my head much off the tray. Perhaps it's my height and weight. If I was shorter or taller or thinner, my options might have increased. Regardless, if the airlines are going to squish us together, they might consider how to give us some flexibility with regards to placement of back rests, like we have in cars -- adjustment of lumbar curve.
Pros: I liked the spacious seating of course
Cons: I was disappointed in the boarding, I traveled with my young daughter and infant son and when they announced those who require additional time, handicap assistance, etc I proceeded to board then all these other folks also jumped up skipping me and my children when it was not their turn. And the gate people allowed them to do so I had to be the one to say excuse me we were here 1st. On top of that when we landed back in NY I heard my stroller get tossed and discovered when I got home it was broke. So upset!!!
Pros: The attention of the staff and punctuality at the departures
Cons: The food
Cons: My seat was broken and the flight attendants weren't able to help...
Pros: Nothing Crew were awful and not friendly
Pros: I like this flight very smooth no worry what so ever I will flight again
Cons: Everything was perfect
Cons: More Colombian ethnic products like Chocoramo or Achiras
Pros: The crew was very acomodating
Cons: Better food options (banana muffin with sausage is weird) more messages from the captain (regarding air turbulence)
Pros: Flight delayed due to tech issue but they still boarded us and held on plane no water no bathroom no cell phone signal for 5 hours
Cons: The accommodation of passengers in the event of a flight cancellation
Pros: Only the entertainment
Cons: There should be a line for older people with bad knees like myself, preference when check in.
Pros: Very good flight
Cons: The mainance of the plane should have done entirely before the flight, we had a 1 hour delay from Bogota to Quito for this reason.
Pros: Breakfast meal snd seats with entertaiment all flight
Pros: The crew was welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. The seats came with a nice amount of leg room which made the ride more comfortable. Also there were many entertainment options; new movies, music, and games. Really pleased with the flight!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind, great flight!
Pros: As always the Avianca staff were very professional and courteous.
Cons: The sound didn’t work on either flight for the in flight entertainment system.
Pros: Fly on time, nice food.
Pros: Crew was nice
Cons: Flight had a 3hr delay.
Pros: We liked that the layover was short
Cons: The seats need to be more comfortable
Pros: This is a great airline. They treat passangers like people and not just a customer.
Cons: The flight was significantly delayed. Luckily I got the notification in time so I did not waste time at the airport.
Cons: They cancel the flight while waiting to board. They claimed mechanical problems. Which is a good reason to cancel. The problem is how they handled the entire situation. No empathy for those individuals who needed to fly due to the death of a loved one. Completely unorganized. No practical solutions in favor of the customer. Never Again!!
Pros: Nothing. And I've flown Avianca 4 times and tried giving it a chance.
Cons: There is always some sort of problem. When I was in San Pedro they said the flight was delayed, then it never came. They did accommodate me with a hotel for the night which was nice after almost losing my job. The last and final time I used this airline I was at JFK 2 hours and 45 minutes ahead of time. I was there at 11:45 for a 2:20 flight. They told me I had missed my flight because I wasn't there 3 hours early. No where on my ticket did it say anything about that. There was a lot of people complaining and then they told me since I "missed' my flight I had to by a new ticket on the spot, leaving me with no option and a heafty fee.
Cons: What I did not like is that after being in line too long to check in, they did not give me my boarding pass, I had to go and wait long time in another line to pay for my checked bag and to get my boarding pass. I have never seen that at any other airline, once you check in, you should be ready to go.
Pros: No delay in takeoff
Cons: Check in was incredibly slow, food was substandard
Pros: Big failed work in new york check-in account. After the 1 hour waiting, let us(who has ticket after the 01:00) the line with only one reason why it's so early and need to support other laters. Moreover, had lost my baggage.
Cons: Big problem was with several hundreds travelers to Bogota, Sao Paulo for 23:10~40. Avianca accounts don't have any classification to avoid this type disorders problem. Had waited my bag on the band during 1 hour. But, wasn't arrived various travelers bag from new york.
Pros: The flight was quick
Cons: It was 5 hours late it was a big wait and I’m too tired and sick now I’m never using this airline again
Pros: Nothing. Airlines changed the flight time for connecting flight with out informing us. Whole reason, I booked a earlier flight so I can get to spend time in Lima but Avianca airlines changed the connecting flight from Bogata from 125pm flight to 330pm flight. I paid additional $250/ticket to get these tickets so I can get to Lima earlier than 7pmso that my wife and I can enjoy our honeymoon. I am very disappointed that airlines decided to switch flights without our approval. We did reach to Bogota at 1155am and we even tried to catch the 125pm flight from Bogota to Lima. but the staff was not helpful at all. All they kept on saying, “sorry nothing can be done, go file a complain”. Are you kidding me by saying that to your client, “go file a complaint”, instead of assisting. I guess Avianca airlines crew needs to learn about hospitality and customer service. NO AIRLINE MAKES Involuntary CHANGES with out notifying customers. Even on United Airlines, they don’t change flights with out informing customers.
Cons: Nothing at all.
Cons: I was told hours before my flight that my flight was delayed due to weather in the NYC area and that the new flight time was two hours later. There were no weather issues at this time. This delay made me miss my connection and the only option was for me to have a 24 hour layover in Bogota, Colombia. As a woman traveling alone this was not acceptable to me but I had no other choice. I got a hotel room for the evening and tried to make the best of it. I was not offered any compensation for this inconvenience, nothing, not even an offer to pay for my hotel room. Similar things happened to three other people in my group that I was meeting in Peru all traveling from different locations. I lost an entire day in Peru because of this. On my return flight Avianca changed the times as well and I was forced to take an earlier fight home the day before I was scheduled to leave. I therefore lost a total of two days of my vacation because of Avianca and they did NOTHING to compensate me for it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS AIRLINE!!!
Pros: The food was mediocre.
Cons: The customer service was terrible. Our connecting plane had not left yet and they did not let us on. They proceeded to tell us that our only option was to stay the night and take another flight the next day. Us and 10 other people had to get into an argument with the staff in order for something to be done. After begging, they finally said they would put us on an earlier flight the following morning and they put us in a hotel. The staff did not care about us or our missed flight/wasted money that we paid for the hotel at our destination that night. It took 30 minutes for a manager to give us the time of day. Horrible experience. It's really shocking that this is how the company treats its customers.
Cons: Long line to check bags
Cons: In NYC, they gate checked my VERY VALUABLE hand luggage that would have easily fit in the cost closet on board if the flight crew had been more understanding. Ground crew did not give me a ticket receipt for the gate check. The gate check luggage is now lost. I am very unhappy about this situation.
Pros: Repeating myself.. NOTHING
Cons: I don’t even know how and where to start.. Avianca has given me issues in the past and I have decided a few more times to give them a chance. Avianca has a culture of rude and “take advantage of people” culture. I went through hell on my last flight. Left us on our connection flight in Cali, Colombia made us (15 passengers) wait for our bus we all had to pickup and carry our luggage’s out to the streets rcause they don’t have enough money to pay for a cart when we were actually in that situation because for them. Next day we were transported (they show up 2 hours later from the promised time) we were transported to the airport to actually catch a flight to another different city to then arrive wait 4 more hours to catch a plane to our final destination... a 3 hours and 45 minutes flight from Miami turned into a 4 different city, hotel and nightmare, luggage’s were broke and everybody turned out to be rude rude rude rude!!!!!!... I am still waiting for my $200 promised Boucher. This is my last time flying with AVIANCA. I am a frequent flyer and have made the decision to fly AA from now On... Actually just purchased a ticket which was actually $100 more than Avianca... nothing like great service and respect towards your clients... I’m also making sure NOBODY flys with AVIANCA.
Pros: Great flight and crew.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Cons: s o much delay!!!
Pros: Food. As usual with avianca was amazing.
Cons: The staff. Completely unprofessional. Flying executive from SJO to JFK with the Costa Rican staff was amazing. This one compared, was deplorable.
Pros: Very comprehensive service. They don’t charge anything extra, the entertainment options are good, the service excellent, the food okay. Much better than most US airlines.
Cons: The flight was delayed out of JFK for some unknown reason (definitely not weather or missing plane since it was the first flight of the morning). Several passengers were told their connecting flight would definitely be held for them. A few of us asked for a guarantee because we would rather pay to rebook another flight than get stuck, and the gate attendents at JFK said it was certain we would make our flights. Once we got to El Salvador we were told they never intended to hold our flights. Avianca agents there told the handful of us going to Cancun we we're rebooked on Copa Airline and would have to go to Panama first, then Cancun, and arrive around 10 pm instead of 11 am. Other passengers were stuck in El Salvador for even longer. For our trouble, they only offered a $70 voucher for Avianca which is essentially useless to most of us since it has extensive restrictions. On top of this, the plane seating was small and the food was terrible. When we got switched to Copa there was at least slightly more leg room and better food. Do not fly Avianca!!
Pros: Fairly new airplane seats with TV screens, USB slots, complimentary headphone.
Cons: Flight was moved 6 hours with no explaination a few weeks before (apparently there's an on going strike), so we had to pay to switch our connecting flight. The day of, there was a 2hr delay so we missed our connecting flight. Food was ok. Drink selection was mediocre. Very limited TV and movie selection. Probably should have stuck with my instincts to fly with a larger carrier.
Cons: The food was very bad. There was a pilot strike and the airline was not willing to give any compensation even though they placed me in a flight ten hours later than the originally programed and the delay was a problem for me.
Pros: Smiling faces, friendly and helpful crew . The flight was a little late, and so we're the shuttle buses. Then almost made up the time on the flight, must have caught a tail wind.
Cons: Late start, makes you a little nervous that you are going to be late.
Pros: The staff was nice
Cons: Old plane -
Pros: Flight was cancelled and moved forward two days. An additional layover was added. I had to rebook a new flight completely and almost missed my vacation. This trip ended up costing me $1,000 more in travel and I have no idea if I will be getting a refund from the airline. I am pissed.
Cons: Flight cancelled without notice
Cons: The airline was on strike and I haven't gotten my money back.
Pros: The flight to Bogotá was fine.
Cons: The flight home was cancelled w/o warning.
Cons: They changed my flight. The dates were so bad that I didn't take it. I filled the refund form , but I'm not even sure it's going to wrk
Pros: I was not told the my flight was delayed. Even worse, i called them and I found out all these. They tried to reschedule me with other company but I lost 5000 on other booking. Same terrible service on way back. I was told it was a mechanical breakdown when it was published on tv about pilots stride.
Pros: Not using Kayak, Avianca or Allianz ever again. There’s no accountability for anything.
Cons: They managed to break my guitar case and leave me stranded in Colombia without a refund. Ended up having to buy a $800 return ticket with Jetblue.
Pros: I enjoyed the food.
Cons: I was very uncomfortable on the flight yet there were rows with only one person sitting. You should distribute the seating a bit more equally. Also, charging ports at the seats would be fantastic.
Cons: Very uncomfortable seating, poor service. I asked for and extra cup of water and they said no! I mean it's a 6 hour flight and we took the red eye. I would expect to atleast have drinks. Overall staff was very rude. Service was very poor and slow. Plus the seating is extremely uncomfortable no leg room no offer to up sell first class. Terrible flight company would never use again or recommend ever! Stay away there are plenty of other ways to get to Colombia. One positive is they did have a decent movie selection honestly that's the only thing. Other then that this company does not even deserve one star I will make sure to tell all my friends family and social media to never use this company
Pros: Water and smiles welcome us
Cons: More strict with passengers not using face mask
Pros: The scedule
Pros: The timer all the flight was excellent
Pros: The service
Pros: Profesional, on time and quality service. A tremendous difference to the US Carriers. A+ based on price, service and amenities
Cons: Food not great in economy - eggs especially. Not many movies available. No WiFi even when flying over land.
Cons: The airline forced my wife to check her carry on AND THEN LOST IT.
Cons: More options for food in business class
Pros: Boarding process, inflight service
Cons: Flight was canceled, was booked on flight 812, that flight was also canceled. I didn’t get to Quito until 24 hours later. Customer service was terrible in terms of providing accurate information to passengers.
Pros: I like this flight very smooth no worry what so ever I will flight again
Pros: I like this flight very smooth no worry what so ever I will flight again
Pros: The cree was very accommodating. The comfort level was adequate. The food was not very good.
Cons: The flight experience was what I expected. What I didn't expect was that our luggage was sent on a later flight and that just triggered other mishaps, headaches and spent more money on our pre-arranged pick up service and other unnecessary expenses..
Pros: I paid extra for a seat in the exit row. It had a lot of legroom and was comfortable. The flight was smooth. It left on time and arrived on time.
Cons: The food was mediocre.
Pros: The seats were spacious and the crew was friendly.
Cons: I have tried to pay for and upgrade for my wife to fly with me in business class. The answer was that there were no seats available on the flight from JFK-PTY. But there were seats in the coneection flight from PTY-POA, because a passenger from Havana got businness seats without paying extra.
Pros: Comfortable seats
Cons: Limited movie selection
Cons: Crying kicking baby in the seat behind mine ruined the flight.
Cons: Lost one of my bags Food barely edible. Above was flight jfk to Panama City This flight had no tv that worked. Audio was broken.
Pros: Christian was very attentive & genuine. He was professional and it was obvious he truly loved his job.
Pros: No costumer service prepare to help, got to jfk at 2pm and counter was close for a flight that left one hour and half later. AIRLINE WILL Over sell ticket and left 4 family besides my family at the counter . WHENT MOST I IN TERNATIONAL FLIGHS ALLOUD YOU TO BOARD UP TO 1 HOUR BERFOE
Cons: No I'm at my destination and I'm no alloud to use my returt flyght
Pros: The entertainment was excellent. Food was good.
Cons: I did not feel comfortable sitting in the seats I had enough room what the bottom was like I was sliding down hill.
Pros: This was a nice experience for a fairly typical airline. Meaning, not Emirates, Qantas, or the others that are supposed to be top-notch. To be fair, I haven't flown them, I'm just thinking of things I've heard and read. The seat was fine and typical as far as leg room and reclining goes. The food was what you'd expect on an airline (it was fine, but I don't despise airline food). The crew though, was wonderful. Really. Friendly, welcoming...I bothered one attendant a couple times for more water as I was very thirsty, and then asked for a beer after the beverage service was over. Often flight attendants will act as if you're demanding a foot massage or something, but this particular guy was very nice. All of the crew that I interacted with was just lovely.
Cons: A flight of this duration should really have wifi access.
Pros: Overall good flight.
Pros: Easy connection. Very sharp. My mom felt so fine.
Cons: I had to keep my backpack in front under the seat. They should not allow heavy carry on's
Cons: Me rompieron la maleta y la otra abrieron de un costado y sacaron algo encima me cancelan el vuelo me ponen más temprano pero en Panama me hicieron esperar 10 horas si me cambiaron debieron cambiarme tmb
Pros: Staff was nice.
Cons: We were late to bord, therefore we were 1 late for rake off, on top of that a passagenger got sick on the plane and the way the staff managed the situation was very poor. Missed my connection. Hade a very bad experience, and more likely, I will not fly or recomend Copa
Cons: Unfriendly staff at Panama airport
Pros: On time.
Cons: They should load plane from back to front. You wouldn’t have the congestion of people in the isle while you trying to get to the back of the plane. Just my opinion. Load first class. Then load the back of the plane first.
Pros: Ultimately the guest services supervisor at the PTY airport she talked and acted decently. Wish others would follow her example
Cons: More training. Improvement in operational detail. More respect for customers - does not mean always spending more but empathy and effective planning
Pros: Most of the Ticket/gate staff were kind
Cons: Flight cancelled and did not staff reticketing personnel adequately- people waited more than six hours on line m, being helped by only two agents Stupid and ridiculous
Pros: Nice staff, fast flight, as we had been traveling 24 hours this last leg was appreciatively uneventful.
Pros: Personal entertainment screen.
Cons: The food!!!
Pros: Crew was friendly and made sure I was comfortable.
Cons: Size of aircraft. Might opt for exit row next time. After business class I would suggest that you board from the rear so passengers don't have to stand and wait for others to put up carry on luggage before you can pass.
Pros: Great Entertainment choices on this flight. I hardly even noticed the time passing.
Cons: They didn't have any food I could eat, except for an incredibly small salad. The crew informed me that I could have requested a special meal 24 hrs in advance, but that information was sadly provided too late.
Pros: Service on the leg to Panama City was great, but the flight was delayed about one hour in departure
Cons: Because of the delay leaving JFK, I missed my connection to Santiago and had to take a later fligjt in Economy and only received a $400 voucher
Pros: I liked the crew service, timing, prefesionalism!!
Cons: Food is not too good, I don't eat pork and seafood (cause allergies) and he the attendant couldn't tell me if the sausage was pork or beef. They need to be informed since an emergency could happen in the flight. Everything else, perfect.
Pros: Crew was very understanding of our frustration and di the best they could do within their range(which wasn't much to be honest)
Cons: Poor job in the gate at boarding and with announces, we were held in the the runway for about an hour plus without proper indication of why, all the could say was "bad weather". Non-stop turbulence and food wasn't served until good 3 plus hours into the flight, (remember to add that to the time we were held at the runway as well). Entertainment on board was extremely limited.
Pros: The seat was OK
Cons: The flight was delayed 2 hours on departure and the reason for the delay was never communicated. We had to move to another gate and board busses to take us to the plane which had been moved from the original gate. The meal was awful. The crew basically ignored us. And the luggage took 45 minutes to arrive at the carousel
Pros: Short plane ride
Cons: Second plane from panama to Costa Rica, the crew embarressed me and my friend and I will never fly on that airline again if Sandie Machida ever works on it. She is the ruddiest and most unprofessional flight attendant and needs extra lessons on costumer service and how she hosts guests.
Pros: Katherine was helping me perfectly with my extra luggage when I was doing my chek-in. She was helping me to pass security check because I was a bit late. really thankful.
Cons: Breakfast (especially egg) was inedible. I choose aisle seat in advance (laptop) but finally I was in a window seat.
Cons: The plane was very old and bad food
Cons: Food. Too simple
Pros: The loading was taking along time
Cons: More organized
Cons: Me robaron el dinero
Pros: Was comfortable the sits it cut be better, the crew was amazing.
Cons: Free snacks and coffe!!!!
Pros: Crew, seat contable and price was great
Cons: Boarding officers need to smile a lot more
Cons: The airlines cancelled the flight an hour before. Then only offered a refund or a flight 24hrs later.
Cons: Everything seemed to go well until my daughter had to go to the bathroom, we were sitting in the front area but they blocked it cause the pilot was in the bathroom. Which was fine, but a few minutes past and still nothing the she said you can go to the back so i got up and she yelled maam “ you need to sit down” and then she proceeded to speak in Spanish as i didnt understand english. So I explained firmly that I u derstood her but she just told us to go the back and then to sit so which one is it.
Cons: I had an issue with their policy on face masks. I came wearing one, but was told that my mask was not allowed because it had some sort of filter/valve on it. Now I do understand the theory behind not allowing masks with valves, because they are supposed to let moisture out. But there are two layers of material that stood between my face and the filter/valve of my mask. Besides for an N95, I have not seen a mask where there was no material blocking the inner side of the filter/valve. I could have simply ripped the filter/valve off the mask and there wouldn't have been an issue, because my mask would still have no holes, and would be a complete face covering. The implication I got from this experience was that material itself does nothing to keep particulates from passing through, which means that we are all wearing masks as a placebo to keep people from panicking.
Pros: We left on time
Cons: The whole row behind me was super loud during most of the flight yet the crew didn’t say anything. At one point they started ordering alcohol and chilling like they were in a bbq. One of them standing and chilling with her drink. Laughing super loud, the guy behind me kicking my seat again and again cause spirit has no space and of course there wasn’t a choice to be moved cause in the middle of a pandemic the flight was packed!
Pros: Nothing was enjoyable except the price, but JetBlue it ten times better for only a tiny bit more.
Cons: The cabin was out of control. People were running around, cursing, not wearing masks. The crew did nothing about it. The seats were wildly uncomfortable. There was no food, no entertainment, no comfort. I will not be flying Spirit again unless they're my only option.
Cons: Flight delayed one hour. Second time in one day. Seats uncomfortable. Flight was completely booked. No consideration for Covid. Should keep middle seats open.
Pros: Good services
Cons: Free snacks
Cons: During this pandemic they could have just refunded out money but instead they have, thru Kayak, just got it all confusing. Not sure where to go to get credit on a flight i dont even want to book but from what i heard is pigeon holed that its use it or lose it. Good Job. Spirit and Kayak. The Spirit of ripping off America.
Pros: ive been emailing spirit for two weeks now about getting a refund/credit.
Cons: if they actually responded.
Pros: I did not receive credit from Spirit Airlines for the reason of Covid-19
Cons: Restroom did not have water.
Pros: Bad experience I was sitting in the last row and half way through the flight one of the toilets got clogged and started to overflow and smell up the area. There was a puddle of water running down towards the isle and the crew member was telling her colleagues to leave it alone and let it run so she can see how bad it gets for when we land. Extremely unsanitary and unexceptable to travel with that smell and conditions. Plus to top it all off towards the end the overhead bin got jammed and I had to wait for someone to pop in open, again its unfortunate I had to go through this. Never again, I would not recommend spirit sorry.
Pros: Crew was nice. However the spirit airline attendant at the desk told me to gate check my bag. I stood there waiting for someone to grab my bag for sometime. So I asked the stewardess and she told me just to bring the bag in and put my carry on in the over head compartment.
Cons: However the desk attendant came on the aircraft took my bag out of the overhead compartment. And then left it outside or the plane. I waited at the airport for until 1:30am before I got a confirmation that the back was in fact at Newark still. I had a nursing convention to go to and I had no clothing. So I had to Uber to Walmart than Uber back to my hotel. So I didn’t get any sleep. I didn’t check into my hotel til 4am due to a negligent spirit employee. I paid for the checked bag and there was plenty of space in the over head compartment. She caused me unnecessary stress and an embarrassing morning with my administrators due to my lack of sleep.
Pros: Nothing. But it's the cheapest flight, so I can't complain.
Cons: The seats are very uncomfortable. During the boarding, it was totally unclear what is the current zone. When I tried to board they said I should wait for my zone, but there wasn't any information on the screen so it's hard to know, especially if you listen to music and don't hear announcements. Please improve this!
Cons: The tv and free food
Pros: The modern planes and on time arrival and departure.
Cons: Unfriendly check-in staff, unpleasant crew members and pokey seats. Having to pay for water on a 3.5 hour flight took cheapness to a new low. My first experience with Spirit Airlines will probably be my last.
Pros: I wish there were more snacks for domestic flights
Cons: Food amenities
Cons: The flight was over three hours delayed They charge you for putting a bag in the overhead compartment They charge you for WATER There is no room whatsover in the seats Stewards ignore you Very disorganized
Pros: We had a weather delay— so we sat in the plane for 3 hours before we left. Should have had the option go leave.
Pros: Nothing. How could a flight not give free water? People need to take meds and should be required to pay $5 for bottled at the terminal. Everything is just highway robbery. Some folks don’t even have a credit card or fir that matter the cash.
Cons: I was totally humiliated at the gate when I was taken off line because I had one extra bag to carry on. I was then charged $65 to then bring it on board an additional $20 to secure a sit since the flight had been over booked. The flight was delayed for the late arrival of on board staff. Most of the passengers were flight crew either connecting.
Cons: Everything. The plane was late. Delayed.
Cons: Spirit isn’t an airline for frequent travelers. The aircraft is always delayed to depart due to beionh last in line after reputable airlines, files the have check in counters in popular airports or located on bottom levels, not accommodating for travelers that missed flights, and last but not least their luggage weight requirements are extremely low compared to all other airlines. The normal requirement is 50lbs and Spirit is 40 so one checked bag is $70. By the time you pay for every single detail you could be on a Delta Airline with complementary Biscotti and water!
Cons: Even with the additional padding I bring with myself, the seats were not comfortable.
Pros: Boarding was easy
Cons: Not roomy, on the returning flight the person behind me kicked my chair the entire flight on top of being surrounded by children on the flight there and back. They should at least let you know you're surrounded by crying babies I would have never booked or paid more to not sit around it. I understand people have to travel with kids but it was my only vacation wouldn't fly spirit again. On top of I called spirit airlines to help extend my flight and the guy couldnt/wouldn't help me told me to check online, but their system that day was not cooperating
Cons: I didn’t like that not even water was complimentary and that they tried to sell anything extra that they could.
Cons: No snakes.
Cons: I did not like that you can’t select any seats without a pay.
Pros: I like the fact that we got there 30mins early
Cons: Customer service was awful i stood on like for 20mins while the representatives were laughing and giggling when i asked if i can get assist of help i was told to wait everyone is busy
Pros: Plane departed on time and arrived early.
Cons: I have flown on a lot of budget airlines, both domestically and internationally, but this was my first time flying with Spirit....and it will be my last. I am used to the a la carte pricing and know how to avoid additional charges, so I wasn't expecting anything different than usual. What I wasn't prepared for were the smallest seats I have ever seen. Granted, I am 6'2", but these seats cannot be anything but pure torture to anyone over 5'9". If you're shorter, maybe it's worth it, but I can't guarantee it. But, if you're 6' or taller, I would recommend you avoid regardless of how much cheaper the flight is; It's not worth it.
Pros: Didn't die.
Cons: A passenger vomited prior to take off. She went to the restroom then was taken back to her seat, where she got sick again. The Purser/Senior Atttendant did not handle well in my opinion, by allowing the clearly ill elderly woman who was disoriented and confused back to her seat and in her "freaking out" reaction (her words). After the woman vomited the second time, they had her sit in a different seat up front, spreading the possible pathogens and uncleanliness to more rows. The woman vomited a 3rd time in this new seat. The woman was FINALLY removed from the plane and her former dear mates were moved to the row up front where the woman was sick for the 3rd time. (The crew who came on to clean the "biohazard" used a dirty mop and did not appear to use any bleach solution. The Senior flight attendant said they were going to seal off the bathroom (good idea) bc the elderly woman, according to the Spirit attendants, made a big mess and it was a "biohazard". Cut to later in the flight after a 2 hour delay and then the sick woman- where Spirit attendants allowed many passengers to use this restroom -bar potentially exposing them to pathogens. The Purser was self-confessed overly dramatic about the entire situation. I can't imagine how she would have behaved in an escalated emergency situation.
Cons: They weren’t stocked with items on the menu. Crew members were sarcastic about people changing seats despite the amount of vacancy.
Pros: The crew was great and did their best to make the flight smooth. The plane was a pretty color yellow...
Cons: Baggage fees were ridiculous. If you check your bag, it's $52. If you carry on, it's $57. During the flight, you pay for any beverages or snacks. Also, we purchased our tickets together, obviously to be sat together. On our return flight, we were instructed to purchase seats if we wanted to be together, otherwise there were no assignments. We got charged an additional $40. Overall, we spent an additional $200! We chose this airline for the lower fares, but they get their money back by charging for everything. You pay for everything. I was very dissatisfied and likely to never fly this airline again.
Pros: The original ticket price was ok but it was barely a positive.
Cons: The original "cheap" ticket became meaningless when I had to pay 120$ for my bags. Plus pay for water on the flight? The seats don't decline. It is the most uncomfortable airline I've ever flown, and will hopefully never have to fly with spirit air again. The ticket price isn't even that cheap.
Cons: The lauggage I checked in arrived in San Jose completely demolished. I can't even carry it anymore. There is a big whole in my bag pack, so my close are hanging out and the shoulder strap is ripped of completely.
Cons: You cancelled my flight and lied why it was cancelled. Then you lied about what flights were available the next day. I lost a day and a half off my vacation with no compensation. Plus no customer service number.
Pros: absolutely NOTHING
Cons: hidden in basement, ripoff on baggage $109 for 1 carry and 1 checked, then remove 5lbs from checked to reduce wt.then delayed 3 hr
Pros: Attendants on plane and at gate counter were good in the turmoil
Cons: Flight coming and going we're delayed several hours including the first flight of the day.....how does that happen with perfect weather? Suitcase was lost on return trip and after 3 days finally was sent delivered to destination airport for pick up. They would deliver it to home but could not give a specific time, worse then the cable company so just will pick it up directly. Also the customer service folks in the baggage area speak very little English, have no customer skills and And frankly have no understanding of how their processes work. Also with the delay notification to email received over 1000 email notifications... must be a system glitch in their system. Will never use this airline again in life!
Pros: Of the five flights it took for me to get to and from Las Vegas, I met one pleasant flight attendant and 2 pleasant ticketing personnel, all other Spirit employees couldn't have cared less.
Cons: Every single departure was delayed - the shortest delay was one hour others were 3 hrs and 7 hrs and the ripple effects from these delays meant missing connecting flights.. overnight stays at the airport.. missing days of work... I fly a lot, delays are common, but not every single flight in one trip. Most delays are also due to factors beyond the control of the airline. Only one departure delay on this trip fell into this category... Air Force-one delayed the entire airport - understandable. All others were caused by ineptness on the part of Spirit airline staff and poor business practice and airline policy. For example, delayed departure caused many of our flight's passengers to miss a connecting flight. Many of us had checked bags. All of use were booked on the next available flight the next morning. Our bags were not moved onto that flight. This is frustrating but almost understandable, what's not understandable is that the airline staff had no idea what to do about this situation. Multiple staff members said they didn't know what we should do about the bags and suggested talking to other staff members. Eventually we were told to go pick them up ourselves and take them as carry-ons on the next flight (fortunately my bag was small enough to be a carry-on, others were not)... this meant leaving TSA and the comfort of the terminal to go get the bag. Then couldn't get back in through TSA because my ticket still said I had a checked bag, not a carry on. I then had to wait another hour in line to get it changed to say carry-on. Then of course, couldn't get back through TSA into the terminal because my new flight wasn't until the next day so I had to sleep outside the terminal at the baggage carousel. Of course no meal vouchers were given, no hotel stay... just kicked to the curb. This also happened on another return flight - fortunately the delay, which was caused by the pilot not showing up on time, was during the day, so we didn't have to sleep outside.. no meal vouchers were given for this 7 hour delay. All of this and more might have been somewhat acceptable if the flight had actually been cheaper then other flights... Not the case. Although the list price of the ticket was about $30 cheaper then the direct American Airlines flight my co-workers took for the same trip. Their flight included a personal item and a carry-on bag in the price. Spirit allows one personal item and charges $50 - $60 for carry-ons.. $40-$50 for checked bags. After the disaster of given them my suitcase as a checked bag, I decided to go Carry-on on the next flight. Spirit also charges for anything on the flight... even water (water=$3). To top it off.. Spirit airlines has as little legroom as any other airline (Other then Jet Blue witch has the most standard legroom)... but Spirit has the cheapest seats I've ever seen on an airplane.. They actually don't recline and there is not entertainment on the plane... by no entertainment, I mean not even a magazine :)
Pros: I am usually able to find something positive about an experience and have traveled much so I understand that some things come up with air travel that cannot be helped. But, there is nothing positive to report.
Cons: From the delay in Houston on 6/15 on our outbound flight to the delay on 6/18 on our return flight, customer service was poor and Spirit Airline employees - whether at the airport or on t he other end of the 1 -800 number - were not articulate, did not communicate effectively nor did they seem to care about their customers concerns or comfort. You might want to rethink what you could offer to your customers in the event of a delay, esp one that is not weather related. Offering something as simple as a free bottle of water & bag of pretzels to everyone once on board, could go a long way to thanking everyone for their wait. As well, your seats are too close together for comfort. I will not be flying on Spirit Airlines again which is a shame as I have a niece & family in Miami to whom I plan to travel to see.
Pros: Nothing, the seats are too small number cannot recline. No entertainment, in fact it was really poor. All the booking machines were down now have to queue so long for the only staff. So horrible.
Pros: Landed early
Pros: The plane left on time.
Cons: All was good.
