It is worth noting that I was kind and courteous throughout learning this. I didn't take any frustration out on the flight attendants. But I was deeply disappointed. I'm am exhausted traveler on your airline in a bind without my card. Can you please just be kind and offer me a coffee on the house? Nope. Sigh."

Check in was very horrible. A lady named Biko ( a supervisor was extremely rude and very mean to passengers. I and a few other passengers almost missed our flight due to lack of professionalism. When I reserved and paid for my ticket, I had requested wheelchair assistance due to severe nerve pain going down my legs from my hips making it very difficult for my to walk. I politely informed the BA agent that was attending to me that I did not check prior to coming to the airport but to verify that my request was active since I used it when I came but to my surprise, Ms Buki said that I was young and did not look like I needed a wheelchair and actually accused me of lying. She also refused to pull up my original ticket as proof when I asked her to as her to. After all said and done, I made my flight just in the nick of time. After going through all this, I arrived Seattle but none of my 4 checked luggages made it. I went back to the airport 24 hrs later and waited for 3 more flights to come in and nothing came in. I have both medical things and lots of sun dried food items that I spent a lot of money on purchasing and preparing/ packaging to meet travel requirements and so on. Now they may all spoil due to this delay. My hand luggage that I was forced to check in at the last minute has my meds too. Please help. I also hope that there will be adequate compensations too. In general I would just move on, but we heard the customer service agent reference that they over booked the two flights to Rome. On the plane, after having paid for specific seats, the entertainment system did not work as well as the individual lights despite the crew knowing about it. When we notified them, all they said was "Oh! Someone should've told you. Sorry." The one in charge of the crew offered us champagne but never came back with it. So with my girlfriend, we spent 8 hours from London to NYC in darkness with no entertainment despite having paid for it. Finally, I've been trying to get in touch with customer service for 3 weeks now and I still haven't gotten a hold of anyone."

Since this was a weekend trip we would have had to turn around and get back on a flight back to SF a few hours later. I called and they didn't even offer the option to refund the ticket! I finally got us on an alternative flight leaving earlier after waiting for 30 minutes to speak with a supervisor because the person I initially spoke with had no power to do anything to help. We ended up flying Alaska Airlines on the way there and I wish we had originally booked through them because the way back was AWFUL. They wouldn't seat my partner and I together because we were flying Economy class, which they reminded us of repeatedly when I complained. The agents claimed they had no power to do anything because of the computer system which randomly selects your seats. I asked what about people traveling with small children and they didn't seem to have an answer. Oh yeah, that's another thing. As if we got a better deal than with any other airline out there after all the bag fees. The Economy class/the majority of the people flying have no carry on allowance. By the way, when we got on the flight we were able to sit next to each other because the seats next to us weren't even occupied. Ridiculous. Never flying United again. I've been bumped off of flights and had bad experiences before but this was the last straw for me."

Cons: "I was warned about booking with this airline but I had to see it for myself before listening to others now I wish I had done just that. First of all, outdated planes, no Tv screens, expensive wifi. How is it only $3 one way and then $5 the other especially after making us wait for 3 hours and 22 minutes extra. Exhausting flights both to Albuquerque from Houston and from Houston to Boston. Poor communication. Poor planning ahead. Very dissatisfied. Going with Jet Blue from now on. They never disappoint, even if there was a delay in flight."

Cons: "I am tall (6' 4") and the seats are still too cramped. Would a 1/2" more really lose millions of dollars per year. Stop treating people like sardines."

Cons: "A WELL INFORMED TICKETING AGENT!! I almost missed my flight because the agent at the ticketing counter did not want to let me on the plane because he insisted that I had the wrong COVID 19 TEST to enter my country (Guatemala). I told him multiple times that the test was accepted and that other family members flying on other airlines had no problems entering Guatemala with that test. I even spoke with a Supervisor and the result was the same. It was until I was able to talk to the manager who gave me the time of day and actually read over what I had for the TEST and said it was ok for me to get on the plane. I had no problems what so ever getting into Guatemala with my test results, my fligh was #243 from FLL-GUA on 27/10/20"

I have short legs and could not extend my legs without kicking the person in front of me under the seat. For a "no-frills" airline, by the time you buy your seat and your baggage, it's barely cheaper than the others."

Cons: "I arrived at 5:40 stood in line not knowing more check in machines one the other side of where the customers stood. (Had the agent focus on us instead of being on the phone). Had check in on the drive there got there and was told I need two check in prior to 40 min of my flight. I said mam it's 5 min after if You try help me I'll make it. She sent me to another line, then they sent me to another line so he could say no refunds I should have read the fine print..... KICKER TO ALL THIS I MISS MY AUNTS FUNERAL AND THAT FLIGHT WAS DELAYED ONE HOUR... if they had pretended to do some customer service I'd have made my flight and her funeral."

Cons: "Departure time was 4:55 pm. Arrived through traffic at 4:18. The gate was 50 feet from check in. 50 FEET! They wouldn't check me in, said they close the gate 45 minutes before departure. Never heard of it. All airlines close 10-15 minutes before departure. Spirit left a dozen, people that arrived almost 40 minutes before their flight, in the terminal instead of checking them in and letting them LITERALLY walk around the corner to the gate. No chance or offer to bring these people to TSA to let them catch their flight. 2nd time I've flown with them, 2nd terrible experience. This was it, I, nor any of my entire family will fly with this airline again. Zero compassion."

I kinda liked the fact that you can pay for your food only if you want to, not everyone likes the food or snacks airlines offer so its cool to be able to choose. I guess spirit airlines is practical for adventurous people, but not comfortable for family groups cause as you ad on services it gets too expensive."

They did not tell me my bag was considered oversized and took 30 minutes for the agent to release it. Meanwhile the agent reported to the supervisor I was not waiting at the right place when I was."
Cons: "Online check-in did not work, app check-in did not work, kiosk check-in did not work. Despite efforts to save money, I was forced to pay over $110 in additional fees. Service counter attendants were not friendly. I asked if I could fly standby on an earlier flight since I had gotten to the airport 4 hours early. I was told "This is not Southwest, you can't get on an earlier plane without paying $120 for it". Flight was changed to a new gate but wasn't updated on the monitor. I had to check flight aware to see what gate we were at. Flight attendants were rude and boasted about being the youngest flight crew in the sky, which is nothing to boast about. There are many veterans of the sky that exhibit amazing customer service and flight expertise. This Moto degrades those who have spent 20 + years in the sky making sure we are safe and comfortable. I would rather have a former fighter pilot with combat experience flying my plane. So spirit airlines, do I think you being young is an advantage over the other airlines, No. I care about customer service and safety. And I have yet to feel that from your airline. From the check-in counter to the flight attendants, the staff treats customers without respect and then charges you for it. I'm done."

Keep in mind when you choose Spirit, you will have to pay for your carry on that is not your personal item, pay if you want to pick your seat, and pay if you have the person at the counter print your ticket. Spirit also cancelled our flight. We spent about an hour on the phone with Spirit and said that they booked me on another flight. When I went to check in, they didn't have a reservation for me. It was such a cluster. I will pay the extra money to not fly Spirit."

Cons: "A passenger seated directly behind me was allowed to disrupt the entire 4-hour flight from LA-DT. He ordered a beer shortly after take-off and the crew suggested he order 3 in order to save a few bucks. During the 4-hours, he ordered 12 beers. He spoke the entire flight to the passenger next to him, while the 3rd seated passenger in his row got up and switched seats to remove herself from him. To avoid more conflict, I said nothing to the man. All I wanted to do was sleep and that was impossible due to his constant small chatter and swearing using words such as "*uck this airline" and "*uck this *hit on this plane". Not one crew member asked him to be quiet or control his behavior so everyone else could sleep. No airline should allow this behavior from their passengers. I am confident that these tickets were the last I will purchase from Spirit Airlines."
