Daily cleaning, installation of cabin HEPA filters on flights from New Orleans to Belgium
The Belgian Government has prohibited all non-essential travel to and from Belgium from January 27 to March 1. Certain exemptions apply for urgent family or professional reasons. Further details are on the Belgian Government Coronavirus website (in French) Belgium has restricted the entry of all travelers who are not arriving from EEA Member States or Switzerland.
Travelers entering Belgium will be required to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival.
From January 1, UK nationals are no longer classified as EU/EEA nationals and will not be allowed entry to Belgium. Essential travel is still permitted. These restrictions do not apply to UK nationals who are legally resident in Belgium. They will be allowed to re-enter the country, but will need to present proof of residency.
Travelers arriving from Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand or Uruguay are also allowed to enter Belgium.
Diplomats, humanitarian aid workers, and military personnel may enter the country. Nationals of Andorra, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, San Marino, Serbia and Vatican City may enter Belgium with proof of connection travel to their home country.
All travelers must fill in a Passenger Locator Form 48 hours to their arrival.
Travelers must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to their departure. Children under the age of 12 and residents of Belgium are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 PCR-RT test result.
From December 25, travelers arriving from the UK must present a valid medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 48 hours prior to arrival.
Belgium has created a 'traffic light' system to track countries and regions which are experiencing high incidence rates of COVID-19. All Travelers from "red zones" will be required to self-isolate for 7 days after arrival, while those entering Belgium from "orange" regions are asked to be vigilant. The updated list of regions can be found on this site (in French).
Residents returning from a red zone and staying there for more than 48 hours must undergo a mandatory test on day 1 and day 7 of quarantine. As from January 2, passengers will receive a text message upon their return with which they can register at a test center. The testing capacity at Brussels Airport will be further expanded to allow incoming travelers to be tested voluntarily upon arrival. Test capacity is being developed at Charleroi Airport and at Brussels-Midi station.
Travelers arriving from the UK, South Africa, and South America are subject to a 10-day self-isolation on arrival and must take a COVID-19 test on entry as well as on day 7 after arrival.

When we finally got to the gate, the employees were so kind to rush us through each step of security and get us to the door and there had to be at least 7 or 8 people who were working and doing whatever they could to get us on that flight. It meant so much! We had been up since 2am to catch our previous flight and just wanted to get home to our families and dogs! We were so grateful they worked so hard to get us on the plane!"

The crew walked around the cabin many time throughout the long flight with drinks on their trays (not just the usual drink service) which was much appreciated. Overall they get a 10 from me! This was my first time flying with Lufthansa. I will most definitely fly with them again and recommend to all my friends."

Cons: "The crew was not very welcoming and was borderline rude when I asked any sort of question such as why I was not allowed to wear my headphones prior to take off. I was patient in not wearing them, but could not relaxing into the trip for the 40+ minutes we remained on the ground mostly not moving. I was tired when boarding and fumbled with my documents and was very curtly told to just hand them over. Another time I accidentally mistook headphones the stewardess was handing out for something else. I took a pair and then immediately gave them back with an apology that I didn't realise what they were, but thanked her anyway. This was met with a scowl and a bit of opposition. There was one stewardess that was very nice and accommodating out of the entire crew. On top of this the toilet seat on the plane was broken, so it fell on you when you were trying to go to the bathroom, and the soap dispenser was broken. I didn't dare mention these things to the flight crew though. The plane was late taking off from Montreal, and so was late landing in Brussels. No effort was made to provide connections assistance, or provide directions on where to go to rebook our missed connections. I and all others traveling to Zurich spent the entire morning trying to find anyone from Air Canada to help us rebook our flights. We literally were going from desk to desk between two terminals, and consulting each other as we went to limit the amount of leg work we all had to do. We all had to finally leave the terminal area and go to Swissport and stand in a long slow line. By that time any afternoon flight was already overbooked. So I and a group of other passengers were booked for an evening flight which forced me to book a hotel in Zurich because I couldn't get to where I needed to be that evening. After being rebook, I still tried to get on an earlier flight by going directly to the gate. It was confirmed that there was some extra space available, but they would not switch me to the earlier flight because I had a checked bag that I could not separate me from. Ultimately my bag was lost which made me have to stay awake and in the Zurich airport even longer after I finally arrived going from one lost baggage representative to another, and then waiting in another line to finally fill out paperwork because my bag had never been scanned in Brussels. The Zurich representatives were very polite, helpful, and efficient compared to anyone I encountered in Montreal, or Brussels. I was without my bag for 3.5 days of what was supposed to be a 10 day trip. My trip was reduced to 9 days because I spent an entire day in the Brussels airport and then had to spend the night in Zurich. I arrived in Zurich on Saturday night, and received my bag on Tuesday afternoon. All in all it was not a good experience until I got to Switzerland."

Pros: "The young competent Air Canada staff at the gate and her supervisor were kind enough to give me the last seat for the 11:45 am flight to Toronto on Dec 18th, 2017. After more than 24 hours stranded in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport due to power outage on Dec 17th, 2017, I was so relieved as I sat on my seat, when an air hostess asked if I would like a seat in business class. She said they randomly upgrade passengers to business class when seats are available. So it all ended well, I got home to Toronto safely in (business) class. Thank you Air Canada !"
Cons: "There were no Air Canada personnel to help us, inside the international terminal during the power outage at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport on Dec 17th 2017. It would have really helped, even if only one personnel showed up at the gate to provide support and some reassurance."

I had to find & clear customs before I could even go to my gate. Getting thru customs was like being in a maze. I showed my passport 4 times in the process & finally someone helped me to fill out the electronic form. I made it to my gate in the nick of time just as they were ready to close the door. They radioed ahead to let 2 more people on that plane. Then I get on and someone is sitting in the seat that I previously purchased. The flight attendant didn't make them move either. Air Canada's practices suck! I will never fly Air Canada again."
Cons: "Beware that baggage check closes 1 HOUR BEFORE TAKEOFF! They failed to mention this when I purchased tickets. Also we were unable to check in online (something wrong on the website), so we didn't know our boarding info. We also had a flight that was 30mins late. When we got to the check in counter the woman wouldn't do anything for us- wouldn't hold the flight, didn't attempt to help us catch our flight. We were told we could wait 48 hours for the next available seats. We signed up for that, and also waited on standby for 24 hours at Narita. Fortunately they were able to get us on a flight within 24 hours. We were not very happy that the key information that check in closes an hour before flights was not readily available or obvious. No emails or notices that I saw when scheduling flights. Just be aware. Everything else about the flight was fine."
Cons: "Flight was more than hour delayed. When it hit the turbulence zone it was insanely scary. I know it's nobody's fault but leaves bad felling about the flight."
Pros: "The whole experience from boarding to landing was great. Zone 2 boarding is one of the first called and the premium economy section has larger seats that recline more and don't affect the person behind as much. Food was decent and serve on a ceramic plate with real silver wear. On demand entertainment was adequate with a number of recent titles and even audiobook options."
Cons: "The section was set up in a 2-3-2 seat configuration and I booked the middle 3, but were given 2 in the middle and one one the left aisle. One of the middle seats was left open for the pilot to come back and watch movies during the flight. When I asked the attendant if we could swap the left aisle with the "pilot's" the attendant made it seem like it was a bigger deal but eventually asked the pilot who said he didn't mind. After all, it was just changing one empty seat to the other side of the aisle."

The crew were unprofessional, i travel enough and this crew was the worst I have seen. On top they offered No hot beverages. Upon my request of a simple cup Of coffee the flight attendant said, NO, ask if I wanted a coke. It is great that he is giving me an alternative but he can simply appogize that he has not made any coffee and be sincere about it. TERRIBLE service all together. We all in the plane have appointments that now we are late to, crew showed no concern."

Pros: "3 1/2 hours late cramped stuffy with a very strong chemical disinfectant odor that was gagging passengers . Cabin was too hot and poorly ventilated. Only flight landing in Pittsburgh late Tuesday night and we were still forced to walk him from the very end of the concourse . Once we got to the landside terminal we had to walk past all the unused baggage claim area to the very end carousel. Pittsburgh airport management should be ashamed of themselves . No wonder there tax finance Taj Mahal is a ghost town !"

I would understand if the flights were shorter, however we had several-hour delays in a time period from lunch through the middle of the night, and were not offered any sort of voucher or food item. Then my bag got lost (which I understand with the weather issues that caused delays), but it left me in a city with no clothes, very hungry, in an hour past public transportation hours. Which is not THEIR problem, but I would have definitely appreciated some assistance of some sort."
